Well… Hello! I… I am Thomas. I am a human living within the Mewpyre Empire. You wonder why you read the letter of a human instead of a Mewpyre?
The answer is simple: Mewpyre needs non-Mewpyres to survive. Or better… the blood of non-Mewpyres.
They have decided it is easier to let humans live in their empire and let them be with a few additional rules.
Two of these rules are: We have to spend blood on a period and we cannot leave the empire… also we are not allowed to release specific information into the world wide web. You ask what kind of information?
The specific ones are dangerous for any human to tell, so I won't mention them in this letter. But I will tell you about some of the structures of the empire.
First of all: They are not doing any racism. We can go to almost every place in the empire, can learn any job we wish for and we can even have a seat in the great council.
Though the last one is relatively new in the empire… also I dare to say: There are some advances as human in the empire. For example the job questions.
While a human doctor for example is not allowed to treat Mewpyre patient, here is always a demand for additional doctors, especially human doctors.
Other jobs can be done easier by non-Mewpyres due size, stature or the simple fact we are immume to some of their weaknesses.
Non-Mewpyres and Mewpyres have an interesting level of respect… the Mewpyres respect us for our work and the fact we have the liquid they need to survive while we non-Mewpyres know if they wanted, they could terminate us within hours. They don't really need us since they could go back to the old habit in kidnapping the people for their blood. It would result in a new war but I am not sure if Mewpyres can be destroyed… what if they only succeed with a new species?
We in turn however have protection from any threat towards us human. I am realistic enough to know they only protect us to keep us as regenerating blood bags but I heard some non-Mewpyres and Mewpyres are in friendly or romantic relationships… thought most of these relationships ends up with the non-Mewpyre becoming one of them eventually.
Me? I am a simple office worker, who happens to be in one of the very few companies with a non-Mewpyre head.
Most companies are in Mewpyres's hands. Not surprising given that we are in their territory. Also Mewpyres have sort of paranoia which is understandable… here are not many factions which were accepting the Mewpyres or were in friendly terms. I know that several adepts attempts are made to destroy them, or to cut them off from their supply of blood. It of course means the death of people who weren't really part of the conflict.
If you plan however to just walk into their territory without permission then you might face trouble. The boarders are well protected and they tend to capture anybody they find. They perform blood tests and regarding on the result… you either are kept as blood bag, send to be sucked dry or turned into a Mewpyre against your will. The last one is the best you can wish for to be honest.
