Tector's POV
D.E. Tector sat in his prison cell. He hated Silver. To think that he had once sort of had a crush on her. She had betrayed him and now he was in prison. He would be here for the rest of his life. Suddenly, a cloud of smoke appeared. It took the shape of a goatlike demon. "D.E. Tector. How strongly do you desire revenge?" It asked. Tector stood to answer. Now was his chance.
Shadow's POV
Shadow was with Silver having dinner in her house, attempting to avoid Nightmare Moon's imminent return, when the door exploded open. There stood D.E. Tector, in a horrific demonic form. He pulled Silver to him with his telekinesis. "Prepare to face your greatest fears, Shadow Moon. Meet me in the Everfree Forest. You'll know where to go." They both teleported away. This demon was becoming tiring. He ran to the forest, and his mind took him to where he needed to go. Eclipse Circle. A circle of stones surrounding an altar. Silver was chained to the altar, and the possessed Tector stood before her. "Welcome, Shadow. Nightmare Moon will return very soon. I just need my sacrifice to spark the event." He said. "No! You've already killed her once. You're not going to do this to us again!" He leapt to Tector, who blasted him away with hellfire. "Fool. Prepare to die, again." They brawled on the ground and Shadow blasted him away. He broke the chains holding Silver, and Tector teleported onto the altar. "I said I needed a sacrifice, Shadow. Silver was just a lure." Tector cried out in pain as Baphomet split from his body, and then impaled him with his staff.
Tector's body dissolved into energy and exploded into a beam racing to the moon. "No… No!" Shadow cried. The moon stopped moving, and a circle of darkness appeared on the altar. Then, Nightmare Moon formed, standing proudly on the altar. "Shadow, my love, I have returned!" She cried. "Now we will rule Equestria in darkness, together." She said, looking at him. Baphomet bowed. "Nightmare Moon, I am Baphomet-" She cut him off. "A demon lord? You will not despoil my kingdom!" She waved her hoof and he disappeared. Only his staff remained on the ground. Nightmare Moon looked at Silver. "And who is this, Shadow?" She said. "Um, Luna… Nightmare Moon, this is Silver. She's… My girlfriend." He said, shyly. "WHAT?!" She yelled, her voice thundering.
"Yes. Luna, I've moved on." He said, more confident now. "Shadow Moon, you will not betray me like this. I am your one true love!" She cried. "Luna, you aren't who I fell in love with anymore. Because of that you were banished. That gave me clarity. I wanted to bring you back, but I know now that was wrong. I've moved on, Luna." He said. He stood triumphantly. He had no fear of her. He picked up Baphomet's staff. "I'll defend her if you can't accept that." He said, holding the staff before him, proudly. "Shadow, you need to choose between us. And I hope you make the right choice, otherwise, I'll have to play my trump card." She said. Suddenly, the moon started to be eclipsed. "Make your choice, Shadow. I hope you choose what's best for Equestria. What's best for you. Best for us." She said.
"Luna, don't make me do this. Just let the sun rise. Make the cycle whole again. You'll kill us all! The country will freeze!" Shadow cried. Nightmare Moon snarled at him, tears in her eyes. "I'LL LET THIS ENTIRE PLANET FREEZE IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND, SHADOW?! YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT I LOVE!" She screamed. "Luna! STOP!" He yelled back. "THE ENTIRE WORLD WILL DIE UNLESS YOU LOVE ME! WHY CAN'T YOU ACCEPT ME FOR WHO I AM, SHADOW?!" She screamed as loudly as possible. "I DON'T LOVE YOU, LUNA! NOT ANYMORE!" Shadow yelled. Nightmare Moon screamed a cry of primal rage and leapt at Shadow, who raised the staff to defend himself.
Nightmare Moon landed on the staff, impaling herself.
She didn't scream, she just looked in shock. She began to revert back to her true form as Shadow set the staff down. She bled from the mouth. "Sh-Shadow… I… Love you…" She said, gasping for breath. He stared at her body, tears stinging his eyes. "Luna, I loved you once, but I can't anymore." He said, crying. "I… Know. You need to… Be with her…" She gasped. "Goodbye, Luna. Goodbye." She suddenly fired magic into Silver, who grew taller, and grew wings. Luna had transformed her into an alicorn. "Now you can… Be together… Forever…" She said, her wings disappearing. She closed her eyes, and died.
Silver was standing in awe. "I'm… An alicorn! Shadow… I can't believe this!" She said. "Silver… I… I can't…" Shadow backed away, tears streaming from his eyes. "Shadow, no! Don't go!" She cried. He ran into the forest. He couldn't… He just couldn't be with anyone. He destroyed everything he touched, even without the demon, he was a bane to all around him. He still heard Silver calling after him. He never looked back. He regretted it ever since.
