Hello everyone,

I haven't update this for awhile. This idea pop into my head and I wanted to write before I forget.

Enjoy.

Punk and AJ are in the kitchen washing dishes while watching their three children play outside in the yard.

"I can't believe how big they have gotten." AJ observes drying the plates.

"Yes I know. I remember when they were in our arms in the hospital. They were small with their tiny toes and fingers." Punk response as he is reminiscing.

"Well we still have Matthew." She acknowledges who is about two years old. He is with his sister and brother getting help for him to walk.

"AJ, he is starting to walk now. He is going to play with his siblings and leave us inside in no time." He informs her because that happened to their other two children, Lily and James. After they learned to walk they have been quite independent children.

"That sucks, why do we have to raise them to be that way? We could have raised them to need us until they finish elementary school." She huffs.

"Honey-" He cleans and dyes the plates seeing AJ distracted. "Our children will always need us. No matter their age, they will need us to make them feel better. When they hurt themselves or are sick, they come to us to heal them. Yes it will be less each time that they are not around us, but when they do we will be there. We will be there to kiss their bruises, heal their cuts, scare monsters away, and protect them from anything." He reassures her that this isn't the end of their parenting.

"How can you be so calm about this? Our children are growing up too fast. Next thing we know they are going off to college or university. Our daughter will find a boy to marry."

"Oh no, she is not dating until she is twenty-five." She giggles at his protectiveness. "Next, you are over thinking everything. The reason I am calm about this is I know they will grow up. For that reason is why I want to watch and spend as much time with them while I can. When they are in their teenage years, they might not want us around most of the time." He dries the last plate.

"You are right. We should spend as much time with them now since they are still young." AJ agrees.

"There we go done." He puts the dish rag on the counter.

"Oh Punk I'm sorry. I was supposed to help you and here I am talking my head off." She sulks.

"It is okay; you deserve a break. You have stress yourself out too much lately." He kisses her cheek.

"You are too good for me. I love you." She pecks his lips.

"You deserve it. I love you too." He wraps his arms around her. "Let's go have fun with our young children." He guides her outside.

When they get outside, their eldest child, Lily, runs to them with tears in her eyes. "Oh baby girl what's wrong?" Punk wipes her tears as he kneels to her level.

"Daddy, I got a cut. It hurts really badly." She holds her finger.

"Let me see." Punk puts her on his lap after he sits down on one of the outside chairs.

"Look." She shoves her finger into his face. "Make it better daddy. Take the pain away I don't want it anymore." She sniffles and leans into her father.

"Lily, don't be sad." Matthew utters in James' arms. "You are my big sister; my role model." He sweetly smiles.

"Thank you Matthew." She wipes her tears before sitting up straight. She wants to be tough for her two younger brothers.

"It is pretty deep and wide we need to put a band-aid on it." Punk inspects it. "Why did you get it from?"

"We were passing the soccer ball to each other. One of us kicked the ball into the bushes, so I went to get it my finger slip on the branch and cut it. Daddy, I don't want one. Can't you just heal it quickly?" She doesn't like wearing band-aids. She thinks it looks ugly plus for her it always gets in her way.

"Yes, I just wave my wand over it to make it disappear just like the fairy Godmother in Cinderella." Punk jokes.

"Can you really?" Lily hopes believing that his father can do anything.

"Nope, I am sorry baby girl I can't. How about we put a nice Cinderella or Belle band-aid on it?" Since their children don't like band-aids, they thought they get the design ones of their favourite characters in case of situations like this.

"I guess so, but do you have to put the burn spray on it too?" He nods. "Why daddy, I don't like it?" She pouts.

"It is to help it heal faster and prevents the cut to get infected." He explains knowing that their children hate the alcohol spray.

"What does that mean?" James asks.

"If the cut gets infected you will get sick and we all don't want that." He advises not only James but all of them.

"Okay." She snuggles up to her father for comfort. As much as she doesn't want the hurt spray, it is in her best interest to be brave.

"I will get the first-aid kit." AJ offers.

"I want to come." Matthew outstretches his arms.

"Okay baby boy. Let us get some magic for your big sister." She carries him.

"Yay! Magic for Lily!" He claps his hand in excitement.

"I want to see some magic." James pouts lightly kicking the deck floor.

"Of course you can come." She outstretches her hand to have him take it.

"Yay!" He grabs his mother's hand. Their two boys are certainly momma's boys.

"Daddy, you are not going to stop hanging out and protecting us when we are older, are you?"

"Of course not, sweetheart. You are my baby girl and always will be. No matter what age you are nothing will change that." He reassures her with a bit of surprise at her question.

"Your only baby girl. Mommy has two momma's boys, but you have one daddy's girl. I don't have to share you in that part." She is proud to be the only one.

"That is right, we have a special bond that I don't have with James and Matthew. So whenever you need anything, no matter how old you are, you come to me or mommy, but mostly me." He chuckles.

"Sure-" She giggles at her father making her have favourites. "I love you, daddy."

"I love you too, princess." He kisses her forehead. They just sit there watching the wind blow the leaves and trees as they wait for AJ and the boys.

After 30 minutes, they are back.

"Where have you three been?" Punk asks expecting them back way earlier.

"Matthew, our sweet little boy, and James, our smart boy, wanted to make Lily happy." She explains.

"And what did they do?" Punk wonders.

"They baked princess cookies for her to eat."

"Look daddy, isn't it beautiful?" James shows him the princess cookie he made himself.

"Wow, my son the artist. She looks like a real princess maybe you shouldn't eat her." He jokes.

"Too bad she is going into my mouth." He shoves the cookie in his mouth. They all laugh at his actions.

"Lily, this is your special one I made it myself." Matthew slowly walks to her.

"Wow, I am Cinderella." He nods. "Thank you baby brother I will keep forever." She gets a tissue to wrap it carefully.

"Wait, this one is better that one is only for eating." He grabs another cookie he made.

"Okay, I will eat it after I get my cut fixed up." She requests as he gets the approval from her youngest brother.

Punk holds his daughter's hand for comfort as AJ cleans the cut. Depending on who gets hurt the roles are reverse.

"Daddy it stings." She holds her father's hand tight making a pain expression.

"I know princess we are almost done." AJ puts the band-aid on and kisses it. "We are done baby girl."

"Can you kiss it too?" Lily asks her father as well for double protection.

"Your mother's kiss has a better healing power than me." He compliments.

"Well then I have double power. A dad and a mom's kiss are better than just one kiss." She pouts.

Not to disappointment his daughter he kisses it. "Fine anything for my baby girl."

"Thank you." She jumps off his lap to eat some of the cookies.

"Mommy, can we go to the park later? I want to go on the swings." James asks eating a cookie.

"Maybe sweetie after you guys finished the cookies, dad has to sleep too."

"It is okay AJ I don't have to work tomorrow. I can sleep when they all fall asleep with you." He hugs her from behind.

"Are you sure?" She is considered not wanting to make him have lack of sleep because of them.

"Yes it is okay. Okay you three go get your jackets and shoes for the park." They all scream in excitement loving the park. They are very active children that love being outdoors. Lily and James both help Matthew walk to the coat closet.

"See they will always need us. We just need to be prepared when they do." He informs her as they follow their children inside the house.

"Yes honey." She wraps his arms tighter around her. "Thank you for being my rock." She kisses him.

"Thank you for being mine." He kisses back.
