Rin woke up later than normal thanks to Kagome's time, it seemed time jumping and all the medical problems had taken their toll tiring her out. Kagome came in as loud as ever, she must have been around Inuyasha too long and adapted becoming more energetic. "Alright wakey wakey time to get up!" Somehow this irritated Rin, perhaps it's because Kagome seems to be acting too cheerful. Rin sat up throwing the covers off of her, she looked down at herself and sighed Kagome had given her what was called pajamas. They were two separate pieces and were a orange base with light colored kitty patterns that were a lighter orange.

Kagome smiled and looked at the young woman who they had called Ami "Well I made you some breakfast and we also need to make a list of everything you will need, oh don't be afraid about costs after all you are our guest and if you will be staying here we need to go to the court house to get you a… actually you didn't have a- oh I got a story already for you its all good." Rin glared at her there wasn't any need to make breakfast for her and speaking then half way in the sentence changing it and saying another, it was annoying. Then Rin sat and ate her breakfast at the small dusty table that looked like it was made from scrap wood, Rin ate her food ignoring everything other than her thoughts. She couldn't help but wonder what had made her so bitter? Then again she had lived in that village she remembered a few pregnant women becoming very emotional during pregnancy and with that though she assumed her behavior plus everything else that had happened caused her stress and confusion making her behavior natural.

With her thoughts put to rest she finished her meal just now looking at it to see, what was it though it was a bowl of milk and something small floating in it. Something that looked like little shapes and chalking shapes that looked like rainbows and a blue moon and some other shapes too. Kagome smiled and spoke "Alright well I made the list and didn't forget to add your paints and painting supplies," Her attention was drawn to Rin hearing she had stopped eating and then saw Rin holding the spoon to her eyes glaring at it.

"So…You don't like it?"

Rin frowned she didn't it was a bit too sweet, she flipped spoon and let the milk and its contents run out of it. Kagome sighed and frowned she had forgotten people from the feudal era have different pallets than people her era "Too sweet?" Rin nodded and suddenly she realized she wouldn't understand or like many things from this time, since she had been in a different time era. Five hundred years ago…Kagome looked at her and gave Rin a mandarin "Here this might taste better. I suppose I will have you into this time, well this is lucky charms cereal. It is milk with grain and sugar, the chalk like things are just sugar. They make this cereal for kids mostly, children in this era love sugar."

Rin pushed the bowl away and took the orange from Kagome's hands "I'm not a child you know. I'm a woman and if I wasn't then I wouldn't have a child in me. So please don't treat me like child its irritating." Kagome felt angry 'I could never to see Ami as anything but a child.' Rin peeled the fruit and quickly ate its little sections and stood up "Where is my yukata?"

"It wasn't yours, it was my grandmother's… my grandfather said he would rather he held onto it."

"I see so… may I borrow another yukata?" Kagome looked at Ami and sighed 'Really another Yukata?' After all most women who had seen the clothing of the modern era were fascinated by it. She remembered going to the village she now half the time lived at with Inuyasha, she lived there on the weekends and any time off she had all the other time was spent going to school in the modern era. However it was summer break for her college. When she showed up in the feudal era she only wore clothing from her era to help her remember that she was not of this era, she wore dresses and blouses with skirts. Women always said she was beautiful and children called her an angel sometimes they truly loved her clothing and saw it as beauty. However Rin didn't see it as that…

"Are you sure you wouldn't rather try on my clothes at least?"

"I never showed that much skin to others. I don't wish to let myself be consumed by the ways of your world I'm not from here and I will not let my morals waver." Kagome now felt like grounding her or something this girl had no respect it seemed, perhaps she would have to compromise "Well the only yukata I have is an old priestess outfit, and if you wear what I ask I promise I will not ask again. Please I just want to see what you look like. I bet you'll be cute!"

"A priestess outfit?"

"Yes." Rin thought about it and didn't think twice no way in hell would she wear something like a priestess outfit. She was a mate to a demon that much she knew, so she was a mother to a half demon. Putting on a priestess outfit would be like believing their beliefs and that would be turning her back to her way of life, her beliefs were that humans were evil and that demons weren't as bad as people made them out to be. Something told her that was a very strong belief of hers.

After all humans always said that demons were evil and that they were terrible monsters. However those demons who were called evil and terrible monsters were more honest than human. Demons may kill humans seeing them as disgusting creatures. However humans kill each other and never say anything bad about their own kind, demons seem to be more honest than humans. They seem more civil and hold their beliefs higher like honor, pride, family even loyalty, they hold onto those things and don't toss them aside like humans do. Spiritual people only see demons as evil, they never even try to see their souls and decide from that they only decide by their blood. How ignorant, it would be like killing dogs just because they are dogs. It wouldn't matter if that dog was a sweet pet or an wild dog it would be killed just because it is what it is.

"I'd rather die than put on that outfit!"

Kagome was shocked by this quiet girl, by Ami whom just seemed to explode in anger over something so small. Just for Kagome suggesting something she wear a priestess outfit, that honestly shocked Kagome and even made her take a step back what she saw in Ami's eyes was pure anger and hate. It truly surprised her "Ami what is wrong? Why are you so angry?" Rin looked away and sighed "Just bring me your modern clothing!" Kagome wanted to yell at the girl but this girl had gone through so much so was it fair? To yell at her?! "What you said you didn't wanna give up your morals!"

"Well I have to, I would never wear a priestess's clothing and I won't walk around naked so your clothes will have to do, I can muster it once." Kagome tilted her head to the side just a little bit and couldn't help wonder "Why do you hate the priestess clothing so much, it's from your era after all." Rin felt something come to her a memory? She was being held by something a man with large claws of metal and then an arrow pierced him and he let her go. She ran towards a person and that person was erased from her memory where he stood was a white oval covering him up… however beside him was a priestess who with long fine hair her skin looked perfect and her eyes were cold. However something seemed wrong with her…

"Priestesses are evil, as are priests and monks."

"What? Is that what you think?"

"Yes."

"But why?"

"They are evil… all evil."

This made Kagome confused people of that era saw them as saviors as heroes and yet this girl saw them as evil…'Why is that, I am very curious.' Kagome stood up and walked towards the door of the guest house and motioned for Ami to follow "Okay let's get you something to wear then, but I'm curious will you tell me why you seem to think they are evil?" Rin remembered where she was as she stepped out of the door to her new house that had been a gift from Kagome… A woman whom called a shrine her home, no doubt a priestess herself.

"I can't remember my life very much parts are blurred but I remember clearly I hate spiritual humans. I hate monks, priests and priestesses all the same. I remember that they are evil, a monk once tried to take me away from one I love, and from my family. My mate is a demon that much I remember, which means my child is half… how can you expect me to like those who hate my lover and my child? Which means I also don't like mortals I see them like how a demon would. They killed my family, beaten me, tried to kill me many times, tried to steal me from those I loved, I see them as evil and demons as good that is the only way I see them. Can you blame me?"

Kagome thought of it and all of Ami's reasons seem to be reasonable considering her past. So no she couldn't quite blame her and she sighed she would hope to make Ami see differently, however for now she would stop fighting she knew stress wasn't good and this young girl had enough. Being poisoned, nearly killed, taken from her home, brought to a new world, her memories taken and she was pregnant and couldn't remember her love… 'I won't add any more stress to this young mother.'

"Ami let's see if we can find something you like and that is in your size, I think a lot of my clothes may be too big but I think I have some clothes from when I was younger in a box somewhere inside my closet." Rin followed her looking around the shrine seeing various buildings this was the first she had actually seen the outside of this new world. When she had gotten here she wasn't awake and then when she finally woke she was inside that house that seemed like one in her own world. Something in the air seemed different it felt odd to breathe it, somehow a bit heavier? The rustling of trees made it to her ears as did other sounds odd sounds she hadn't heard before, she apparently had stopped listening and taking in this new world next thing she knew Kagome had her hand and was leading her into the main house, there in the main house was a woman who looked older and Kagome walked over to her "Mom, this is Ami."

Kagome's mom rose her eye brows and covered her mouth with her hand "Oh my so your name really is Ami?" Rin simply shrugged she still hadn't trusted them enough to give them her real name so Ami is what she was going by for now "So you live with your mother? Is she a priestess?" Kagome smiled and shook her head indicating that she wasn't "No, my mother isn't a priestess. However I do live in with my mother, my grandfather and my younger brother and our cat." Rin looked at her mother and saw the woman she seemed soft like a very kind soul "And your father?"

"My father pasted away many years ago."

"I'm sorry for your lost."

"It was a long time ago, its okay."

Rin nodded and they went up to her room after her mother said asked Kagome to take Rin out to eat for the somewhere to show her the food of this era. Kagome went up to her room and lead Rin to sit on her bed and then went about digging in her closet and behind several boxes found the one she was looking for. The box was marked in sharpie 'Old clothes.' Rin sat on the bed and decided to look she saw Kagome's room had a few boxes and several other things that she wasn't sure what they were, then there were several portraits that weren't made of paint and they weren't large they were very small and weren't on any kind of canvas she had used before.

Then Kagome held a box in her hands and sat before the bed and dusted the box coughing, she smiled and happily opened the box "Oh let's have a look shall we?!" Rin all but rolled her eyes she sighed as Kagome pulled out some clothes, Rin looked at them and thought they were odd just seeing them. Kagome looked up at her with a smile "So what is your favorite color?" Rin thought about it there wasn't really a color she liked over the rest so she just shrugged thought about it "Well I don't really have one."

"Okay than shall I pick?"

"I don't really mind, I don't like these clothes anyway."

"Okay then… this pink, white, and black skirt flowy skirt. Um oh this white shirt with long sleeves, can't forget these black tights um oh these pink flats would look cute um we can use this pink ribbon around the collar of the shirt. Oh and then these bows my mom bought me they are pink and I never used them so you can Ami."

Kagome went and to her drawn and got a tank top so the bra she would give Rin wouldn't show it through the white shirt. Rin saw Kagome hand her three more things a white shirt with no sleeves but two tiny straps, then an object Kagome called "A bra and panties." After Kagome told her how to put on the clothing she went out of the room and stood giving Ami some privacy, once Ami opened the door she smiled seeing Rin dressed she and she looked so cute! Kagome walked over and got a brush holding all three ribbons. Rin quickly tied the one around the shirt's collar and pulled down the collar flaps over it and then went to separating Rin's hair into two sections. She put each section into a fluffy pigtail and put a bow over the base of each one. The pigtails reached to Rin's bottom they were long and beautiful, Kagome smiled Rin looked like a cute little doll. Then again she still remembered Rin was other worldly, and how when Kagome went to the feudal era many said she was almost other worldly and now wondered if Rin was the same other worldly.

Kagome smiled and walked out of the house with Rin, Kagome wore jeans and a green t-shirt holding a white hand bag. In no time Kagome and Rin were walking to the business center and on the way there Kagome had told Rin many things like common everyday things of the modern world, so she wouldn't freak out in public. Like cars, buildings, street lights, roads, trains, people, the sounds and a few other things. Rin and Kagome made it to a store in no time and when they went into the store Kagome smiled and took Rin to the women's section. Kagome held up a skirt then turned to Rin "How about this?"

Rin glared and huffed 'Really?!' She had told Kagome she didn't like the clothes of this age and yet she still suggested clothes of this era. Rin turned her back and sighed "Like I would really want to wear those! I'm not slut! I didn't even want to wear these!" Kagome was shocked and grabbed Rin by the arm and turned her around "How dare you make a scene!" Rin glared at her and yelled back "Well how dare you act like my mom!"

Kagome grabbed Rin's arm and marched out of the store with Rin in her hand "Let me go! Let me go! Let me go!" Kagome ignored the girl and dragged to out of the business district and hailed a cab, all the while Rin was screaming to be let go. Kagome got in the cab and sat down pulling Rin in afterwards and then after the door was shut she turned to Rin and slapped her. Kagome had had enough and she couldn't take it anymore, however she felt she needed to make Ami shape up.

Rin sat there holding her cheek shocked as tears flowed down her cheeks and shook "K..Kag…Kagome?" Kagome sighed and put her hands to her mouth feeling sick now for hitting Ami. Rin looked at Kagome with shock and anger at the same time "Ami…Ami I'm sorry. It's just you were acting like a brat and-" Rin glared at her "Well how would you feel?! After someone tried to murder you. Or In a foreign place, you don't know at all! I have only a few memories! How would you feel?! I can't even remember the man I loved. I can't remember the man is the father of my child?! I just want things to go back to how they were!"

Kagome shook staring at Rin and with tears clinging to her eyes and then hugged her into her arms "I'm so sorry Ami!" Rin shook and hugged Kagome back crying in her arms, Kagome smiled and was able to calm her down completely while on the ride to the next store. The cab stopped in front of the store they were headed to next and they made their way into the store with clear air between them, Rin had let out all her stress and was comforted while Kagome had a new understanding for this small girl. Kagome decided to be less like a mother and more like a big sister to this little girl, no matter what that is how she would see this girl Ami. As a little girl.

Kagome looked at the automatic doors and leaned over telling Rin about them quickly "These doors open on their own, it's not magic or haunted it just works okay so don't freak out." Rin nodded and smiled happily thinking 'Don't over react; I don't want to be seen as a creep!' Rin walked side by side with Kagome and they made it to the door and it opened on its own. They walked in and the floor seemed like it was dark red wood panels and then there was light eggshell cream walls with cherry wood shelves and tables there was a desk made from marble and the top was glass. Rin smiled looking at all the yukatas and kimonos with all the right accessories; it was full of things that Rin was familiar with even jewelry.

Within minutes Kagome was found with a huge pile of beautiful yukatas, kimonos, obis, and a few accessories. Rin was seeming to enjoy herself very much a smile was basically melted into her face, and Rin finally decided on about twenty yukatas and six kimonos and about ten obis seven were solid colors, each color was from the rainbow and then three obis had patterns on them. She got about five pairs of sandals and several combs and hair accessories with and obi accessories too and a few pieces of underwear for the yukatas and kimonos.

Kagome was happy that Rin was happy and then they were off to another store right next store, it was a make-up store. Where Kagome got Rin to get eye shadow, some eyeliner and lipsticks, however Rin wouldn't get anything else saying she didn't need it. It was true Rin had beautiful skin and long lashes so she didn't really need anything at all.

Kagome and Rin made their next stop at Wacdonalds a place that Kagome had often gone in her school days with her friends. Ami hadn't known what she wanted to eat after all the menu didn't have anything she had ever eaten before, and so Kagome ordered for the both of them. Rin sat down at a both by herself as Kagome waited in line, Rin sighed and looked out of the window that was until she say someone slid on the opposite side of the booth. Rin looked and saw it was a boy in normal clothing from seeing what all the guys were wearing.

The boy smiled and looked at her "Well are you fine looking, you know what fruit you would be if you were one?" Rin just stared at the boy and confused and angered at the same time "No, what?" The boy had short black hair with green eyes and tanned skin he smiled "A fine-apple. You are cute so you want to date?" Rin glared at him and smiled standing up and looked down at him "I would never! I'm the proud mate of a demon so how dare you ask me!"

The boy got up and had shock written all over his face "What the hell?! You crazy!" Kagome marched over with their food and set down the food at their booth and smiled at the boy "My little cousin is arranged already, however see still seemed to get the upper hand on you!" The boy was shocked and looked at them "If she was arranged then just say so, but that's so old fashioned it's hard to believe." Kagome smiled and glared at him "That's why she said that lie about a demon, you guys these days just don't understand what arranged means! So she made you leave her another way. Now go before we make a huge scene and you get embarrassed."

That guy glared and left in a hurry leaving the restaurant and then Kagome smiled and Rin glared "Ugh human males are just animals with one desire, now demons are another story they mate for only a few reasons. One reason is power or honor, second is for love, third for children. If they want what human males what they use concubines." Kagome sighed and looked at their food eating her cheeseburger " There are some honest good 'Human males,' you know. I can introduce you to a few if you want."

"I'd never stoop that low, besides when you have mated you can never feel love or attraction for another so there is no point, and my heart… it- it aches for him. And only him…"

AN: Going to try and make these longer, oh and so cute the ending. Love ^-^
