KaiserUltima: Firstly, thank you for giving the story a chance, the fact I managed to change your mind puts a smile on my face. Now to answer your questions, yes the DLC will come into play as it is rather integral to the overall plot. The Hydra's will be fought no doubt, along with Havel. The Butterfly will of course have its time, I don't do anything without meaning so fear not. As to Griggs and Laurentius, Menma will head to the depths sooner or later since I enjoyed that area quite a lot. Menma and Kirk will have quite a few occasions where they'll meet, once again something I set up by doing what I did with the Chaos Sisters. But yeah, don't worry the Depths will come ups soon, like I said I really liked that area.

Coduss: Indeed, those boulders are dicks.

Deadzepplin: Where should the eternal one attack our hero, good sir? Should we hold until Oolacile? Perhaps on the return trip to the Burg to take up arms against the Depths? Where I ask you, WHERE!?

Guest: Thanks dude, I'll try to be more regular.

Start

Death was an…Event. His whole body went completely cold, colder than it had ever been, but just before the world went completely dark he felt warmth, the warmth of the Bonfire. He woke up with a ferocious start, his breathing heavy and his body covered in a thin sheen of sweat, "Holy shit…" Gasped out the Uzumaki, grabbing his forehead, the small reassurance that he was alive was the powerful thumping in his temples, the blood flowing through his body.

The only down side he could see thus far was the fact that his body reverted to a much more hollow-like state, his skin was clammy and pale, his cheeks were sunken in and his eyes were much darker, sclera and all. "That was…actually not that bad all things considered." He thought aloud, pulling a Humanity from his Sign, he offered it to the flame, feeling his body begin to repair itself, his cheeks filling back, his skin gaining a healthier shade, his eyes brightening. "Not being a fucking hollow if I can help it." Grumbled the Undead as he stood up, turning his gaze back towards the fortress he sighed.

"Ah well, onwards I guess." Mumbled the tall youth. Shakily he stood his whole body rattled as he did so, running on the spot and bouncing on his heels allowed him to get rid of his jitters for now at least, the mere thought of the boulders deadly touch had left him with a light case of pins and needles all across his body, his head thumped heavily from the ensuing migraine.

Flooding his body with a quick jolt of Lightning Chakra Menma's skin stopped crawling and he breathed easier, narrowing his eyes the Uzumaki shot off like a rocket towards the Fortress, running through the entrance once more, avoiding the pressure plate and ignoring the Snake-Men, entering the much wider space he made a sharp right and ran up the wall before making another sharp turn and running towards the Snake-Woman, the Uchigatana in his hand in a silver flash and tossed the weapon so it buried right into her skull as he landed he ripped it free and kicked her body over the side, walking into the smaller room he once more side-stepped the pressure plate and saw a large orb of glowing green energy, walking towards it he reached his sign bearing hand out and absorbed his souls and 'soft humanity'.

The warm rush of souls made Menma sigh taking a second he flicked the blood of his katana and sheathed it, rubbing his face and running his fingers through his hair, "Alright…It's alright now. Don't have to worry about the Sign eating my chakra…Speaking of. Kage Bushin No Jutsu." Intoned the Shinobi as he summoned a trio of earth clones, "You guys are going to be my crash dummies. Get to wherever the hell those boulders are coming from, and stop it from rolling down this way." Menma took a spot against the wall and slid down, the clones all nodded and dispersed out the door, the sound of a powerful crash alerted Menma that they'd smashed the boulder, shards of rock blew past the doorway.

Sweatdropping he shook his head, "I'd have done the same I suppose." Said the Uzumaki before chuckling, "And I did."

His mood sobered rather rapidly though, as his thoughts turned to his past, "How Did I end up here anyway?" He wondered, leaning his head against the brick of the wall behind him, frowning as he closed his eyes, "Destiny? Fate? The unholy power of the arsehole that is god? Did I die and this is where I was sent? Actually that last one kinda makes sense…" Menma trailed off a little as he tried to recall dying.

"Nope, got nothin'." He shrugged carelessly a large explosion made him laugh standing up and brushing himself off the Uzumaki made his way out, the remnants of the boulder lying about, tucking both hands behind his head he struck through with a slight pop in his gait.

"Honestly, I can't believe I forgot about KageBushin, this world's gonna be a lot easier with myself watching my back." Menma grinned enough that his eyes closed though his sharp hearing picked up a 'Hmmm….Hmmm….Hmmm.' it sounded as though someone was trying to concentrate really hard. Turning to his right he saw a man sitting on the edge of a drop-off.

"Yo." Greeted the Undead, his mood quite a lot merrier as of now, plus the armour of this man was quite laughable, it looked like a giant onion, though the zweihander at his side meant that he was very strong, if he is able to loft such a weapon.

"OH!" The man started, looking up and seeing the grinning visage of a very tall lad with the darkest of hair the Knight had ever seen, that and the odd spikiness of it was in itself interesting. "Hello there friend, traversing the fortress as well?" Asked the man, Menma nodded.

"Yep, did'ya hear that big explosion? That was me, no more boulders to screw us over. Wanna come along?" Offered the Uzumaki, the idea of having someone to watch his back was comforting, and though clones were good for such a task, they also were quite fragile. The amount of positive energy this man gave off was enough to make his mood lift even more, it was much like being around Solaire.

Thinking of the Knight made Menma remember to keep an extra sharp eye out for his Summon Sign. "Truly? That was you? This Knight of Catarina thanks you, I believe I will take you up on your offer friend, I am Siegmeyer as I said, a Knight of Catarina. May I know your name friend?" Asked the now named Siegmeyer, as he stood and collected his sword and shield, a small-ish round shield with a vicious looking spike in the centre.

"Menma Uzumaki, a pleasure to meet you Siegmeyer. I look forward to working with you." Kneeling down Menma offered his hand, his demonic looking hand.

"By Catarina itself, what happened to your hand friend?" Asked the Knight, Menma merely chuckled.

"I'm a Pyromancer, unfortunately a little something went wrong with the Flame I received from my teacher, fear not Siegmeyer nothing will happen should you touch it." Menma put on his best smile as he could see the critical gaze of the man's dark brown eyes, for nary but a second but the man merely chuckled and sheathed his blade onto his back, gripping the younger Undead's arm in a roman grip, with an almighty heave Menma pulled the man up, much to Siegmeyer's shock and awe.

Sailing through the air was not something the Knight had done often, due to the weight of his arms and armour, but the way this tall lad had heaved him up had shocked him, he merely intended to shake his hand as a show of camaraderie, he didn't expect him to bring him aloft.

As he was set on his feet Siegmeyer listened as the boy laughed brushing him off, "Sorry about that, I'm just in a good mood and couldn't resist spookin' ya." The impish grin on the boy's face set Siegmeyer at ease, surely nothing with ill intent could smile with such real joy.

"No harm done my new companion, shall we go?" Menma nodded as he and the Knight began their way through the fortress, the first room the new two-some encountered had an arrow trap in a narrow hallway, Siegmeyer was the one who decided to set it off to keep them both safe, so he took a step back onto it and held his shield up to negate any real damage. Menma was impressed with how strong the small shield was.

Their second trial was…The PATH! Previously yes it would have been quite the annoyance to get through this area as a boulder would be rolling down the walkway and crushing them both, but with it redirected Menma and Siegmeyer had no trouble.

"For such an ominous fortress I expected more." Said Siegmeyer, sounding a little disappointed, still upbeat as hell but, he felt the fortress let him down.

"Who knows, maybe we'll fight a big boss at the end of it all, that'd be pretty damn fun." Said Menma, getting a belly laugh from his new friend.

"Oh yes indeed. A great titan against the two adventurers, quite the tale it would make indeed."

"We'd kick its ass." Once more the white armoured male laughed.

Menma looked at the boulder launching device and hummed, looking up through the whole they were dropped down he could see a giant methodically dumping them onto the spring loader, said loader shot them down the middle of the fortress, Menma narrowed his red eyes, adding a bit of chakra to clear it up and saw something in a cage through a broken wall.

"My friend I believe we have found a potential trapped being, shall we rescue them with our mighty might of mightiness?" Asked Menma placing his hands upon his hips and puffing out his chest, Siegmeyer did the same and nodded.

"Indeed we shall, these vile Lizard-men shall not hold any on our watch, friend!" Menma's grin almost split his face, pulling out his Uchigatana he turned to the machine, "What are you doing, my friend?"

"Gonna destroy this thing so we don't take a boulder to the back." Blue lightning began to spill across the blade, "Ikazuchi No Kiba!" With an almighty thrust a great striking force of lightning exploded the mechanism of the device, in the same stroke Menma leapt into the air coming face to face with the giant and spun, his Jutsu continuing, the lightning fanned out and formed a spiralling whip of death that tore the creature to shreds, it fell back and exploded into a shower of white and black ash, the lightning ceased and he landed with the grace of a feline.

"Let's go!" Said Menma, sheathing his blade and sliding down the slope the boulders once rolled down, Siegmeyer was struck speechless at what he'd just seen before laughing uproariously and following after his new friend, undoubtedly with such a powerful companion he would be able to defeat any and all obstacles, allowing him to adventure to his heart's content.

Prisoners Cell

A man with an absurdly large hat donned in a dark green robe sat in a cage of the Snake-Men, his pale hands were the only visible flesh he had, "Need a hand?" Asked a voice, the man merely lifted his hat enough to see a warrior, a very tall one, clad in armour the shined in the low sunlight that peered through the broken wall, his arm was something that the big hat wearing man would liken to a demon, he was armed to the teeth, a katana in his normal, gloved, hand and a large great sword upon his back, though to one so tall it would be a normal sword.

"That would be much appreciated, sitting in this cage is positively mind numbing." Commented the robed man, the warrior nodded and shoved his blade into the lock, flames licked at the blade as the metal around it began to melt, the robed man's eyes widened under the shaded brim of his hat, he'd never heard of someone channelling magic through a weapon, besides the usual weapon enhancement but this seemed…Different, somehow. It seemed much different from a simple imbuing of flames that could come the Charcoal Pine Resin or 'Flame Weapon' Pyromancy.

This looked as though the flames were being merely kept back within the warrior, waiting to be unleashed as though it was kept behind a door and the simple act of cracking it open unleashed a massive tidal wave of endless power.

Needless to say he was quite enraptured by the idea.

Menma knew that look and that body language, and for some reason he was thrown back into his memories.

Flashback

Menma, donned in his Jounin uniform, was coming home from a long mission, his hair was untied and flew about haphazardly as he rubbed at his eyes with the heel of his hand, yawning lightly he opened the door to his apartment, it was in the Uzumaki district a small district as of now since the clan was barely on its feet with himself, Kushina, Karin and Tayuya as the only members of full blood. Before you ask, but Menma how are you of full blood when Minato is your father, someone who isn't an Uzumaki, let's just put it as a sealing accident that led to his 'Namikaze' DNA being essentially vaporized from his system.

He opened the door and was a little confused to hear someone rummaging around inside, on full alert he withdrew a kunai from his pouch silently he crept until he saw the back of the perpetrator, a 14 year old Naruto Uzumaki going through his things, his various Jutsu scrolls, a particular one was in front of the blonde boy, the one that Menma had made himself.

Anger rolled through him as the black haired Uzumaki tossed his kunai at the wall just above the boys head, Naruto went ramrod straight, "What are you doing." Came the deadly voice of the Jounin, Naruto turned his head robotically his eyes wide like plates at the devilish look on his older brothers face.

"Uh…Nii-san…I uh, you…!"

"You broke into my apartment, went through my things, and are currently stealing one of my most prized possessions, I should kill you." Snarled the red eyed Uzumaki, his hand shooting forward and grabbing the boy by his hair, he struggled as Menma dragged him out of his home and into the street, straight towards the head house.

"Let me go~!" Whined the boy, yelping as Menma's grip tightened, the black haired male merely growled and threw him towards the head house, the boy hit the ground hard and rolled to the stairs.

"Don't touch my shit or next time I'll fucking gut you!" Snarled the Eldest, Naruto merely grit his teeth and tried to stop tears from leaving his eyes.

End of Flashback

Menma shook his head as he recalled the event, people need to learn that he's very possessive of what he owns, especially if it's something he worked hard to create like his Rasenringu technique, whilst yes his father created the Rasengan, Menma's was designed for full scale explosive power, and the way of created it was much different than its spiritual ancestor.

The point is that he didn't like it when people got into his business, so he'd keep an eye on this man, make sure he didn't try and mess him over in some way. "Can you make your way back to Firelink?" Asked Menma, the man nodded, brushing himself off as he stepped onto solid ground for once in quite a while.

"Indeed, thank you for your assistance, I am Logan by the way. I hope to see you again soon."

Menma and Siegmeyer merely nodded and watched as the man left, "Let's get outta here, to the top I say!" Said Menma thrusting his demonic hand forth and shooting his companion a grin, Siegmeyer nodded and struck his own pose.

"To Adventure!" Bellowed the pair.

End.

Yeah, it was a little sillier than usual, this won't be a usual occurrence. I just really like Siegmeyer. He puts me in a good mood.
