Rin stared at him in shock for a second and then she tilted her head to the side and gave an innocent smile, it was a big change from her icy glare just before "What are you talking about? Immortal?" She then let out a little giggle and shook her head with a smile "Beings like that don't exist." She stared at him and tried to read his mind he stood there for minutes not moving or saying a word, however there was nothing on his mind. However he suddenly pushed off the ground and moved with a lightening like speed. Rin's eyes flew open wide as she felt cold metal prick her neck, and held a sword to her neck. Rin stood there shocked as her eyes took in the image before her, he stood there with an intimidating look as he pressed his sword to her neck making a tiny cut.

She bent her head down a bit to look at his sword it's handle was wooden just like his boom, he had nothing with him other than that. Her eyes drifted to the floor and she saw the long hollow shaft that held his hidden sword.

"I know you are an immortal, the scent of your blood tells all."

Rin's eyes narrow and she peeks into his mind to find what he is thinking 'This is a bit aggravating.' He then pulled his sword away and gave her a stern look "The only way I will teach you is if you tell me the truth." Biting her lip as she stood there trying to decide, 'If I reveal myself it could mean disaster for me. Then again if I don't then I can't be taught and Chiestuka and I won't be able to go home.' Taking a deep breath she spoke bravely "Swear that you will teach me if I tell you the truth and I will tell you anything you wish to know." This made the young man's eyes widen he looked the age of thirty or so. He nodded and then shielded his sword back in its hidden place in his broom.

"Swear it out loud."

"I swear."

She sighed and closed her eyes as she did she took a deep breath and straightened up, she slowly lifted her head up and open her eyes. The look in her eyes was pure seriousness "I'm an immortal being just as you said." The man turned and nudged his head in the direction to the dojo's main building "I haven't had a visitor in some time, come converse with me." Rin didn't think she could be more surprised but she was, she looked behind her towards the gate before returning her attention to her new teacher.

"Yes, sensei Yamakashi."

"You can call me Ryuu, formalities are not needed."

"Yes."

She followed not far behind him, up the steps to the porch and through the screen door to the dojo. They went into the main room and sat at a lone low end dining table, he motioned for her to sit and she sat on the semi-dusty cushion. Rin took a quick look around and saw lots of dust and spider webs it seemed as if this room hadn't been touched in years, she set the back pack on the ground and stared at the table. Ryuu came back into the room with two old cups with the writing 'Sensei,' on one cup. Then written on the other cup was 'Student.'

Rin took note of the grey color on the table she touched its surface with her index finger and dragged it around the table. She took her finger and looked at it then frowned 'Dusty! So much. What does he never clean?'

"We will each take a drink from this cup of a special drink that was created for deals, to promote loyalty and trust."

"What is it?"

"Drink it or I won't train you for another year. I won't break my promise, but I can prolong it."

"Evil creep, fine!" She took the cup from his hand and didn't even think twice he was irritating her so much she just wanted to get this over with. Rin threw her head back and took the whole cup of the mystery drink in a single gulp. In an instance she felt dizzy and somewhat tired, she lifted her head to look at him and saw him taking his drink slowly rather than taking it in a single gulp like her.

"What do you do shots every day or something?"

"Shots?

"No, last shot I had was at the hospital I think."

"So you don't seem familiar with this time and its customs, so how old are you?"

Rin wanted to lie but she found herself saying the truth without even thinking about it, her speaking was a little tired "Well, let's see… um I'm about what is it… um five hundred and sixteen? Or seventeen I'm not sure." He smirked and she noticed he didn't seem dizzy or tired like she was "That old and your child?" She started to sway back and forth and gave him a goofy smile "Wha-what why all these q-questions?"

He shook his head and thought to himself trying to suppress a chuckle 'It was just a little sake and truth elixir, and see seems to be drunk already.' She sat up straight and glared at him "Dr-Drunk? I'm… I'm not dwrunk. H-How dare you! Me drunk?!" He shook his head and continued with his interrogation "So how old is your child?"

"Three."

"You sure waited a long time to have a child Didn't you? Five hundred and thirteen years."

"It's complicated." He smirked at her answer as he wondered to himself what in his question made it so complicated? Before he could ask she spoke explaining what had made it complicated "Well you see I've only lived sixteen years. I was born and raised in the feudal era, that is also where I conceived my child. But I got poisoned and my brother in law found me and jumped into the bone eater's well. That well connects the feudal era and this era together. So my child's age is confusing, but it's only been three years since her birth. I have only lived sixteen years so age is hard to explain."

Ryuu was shocked and his eyes widen out of alarm she was speaking as if she were sober now, however the truth elixir would continue with its effects until three hours had passed. She narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips as if she were pouting and he caught her glare and sighed "What is it?"

"It's not fair you getting to ask all the questions."

"Fine, you get to ask five."

Rin smiled however she only got five so she would have to ask good ones, or ones that she wanted to know. Suddenly she started to feel a craving to have another drink, she smiled and held out her cup looking up at him. He brought his cup to his lips taking a sip and stopping once he saw her offer her drink. Ryuu chuckled and shook his head "No, you might not act fully drunk like before but-" She glared at him and huffed puffing out her cheeks "Dwrunk?! Me is not dwrunk! Nope I… I Is fine, peachy in tact." He looked at her with disbelief "You can't even speak right how will you ask me a question?"

"Like this! How did you know I am immortal!?"

"Simple I'm a Kitsune, so I could smell your blood."

She nodded trying to look as if she were deep in thought, as she crossed her arms on the dusty table and laid her head on it looking towards Ryuu " That is why you look like a mortal too." He lifted his eyebrow and leaded towards her with a almost cocky smirk "Oh was that a question?" Rin in fear of wasting a question shook her head and waved her arms very quickly "No! Nope! Its not!"

"S..Sooo? You g-g..got kids?"

He took a long drink and didn't speak, Rin despite her drunkenness spotted this. He said a single word to answer, no explanation or anything just a simple "No." She then decided to rephrase a question it would use up another turn but still "Have you ever fathered children?" She supported her head with his fist and then waiting for his answer "Yes, I fathered two. Two amazing little boys."

Rin decided she was curious about his personal life rather than anything else she had two more questions "Tell me about their mother?" He took a in a long deep breath and then poured himself a new cup of sake, Rin yawned and waited for his answer just like before.

"Okay, well her name was Elizabeth Marie Bell. She was a young trader's daughter from England in the early eighteenth century. She had blue eyes and chestnut hair and she was pretty short too, but she was very kind and sweet."

"My final question what happened to your family? Details."

Shaking his head he let out a growl like noise and glared at her "You sure like to be nosey and you pick at the emotional parts don't you?" She huffed and nodded then held her gaze on him as she was ready to hear the final answer she would get out of him.

"They all died. My wife died in child birth, she had a weak system and was often ill. Being pregnant wasn't easy on her but she always smiled and said how happy she was going to be to see our child's face. She gave birth to both of my sons and she got her wish to see them, as well as name and hold them before she passed on to the next world. My sons were half demons and didn't inherit much from me, my eldest had gotten their mother's weak system. I was away leaving them with someone I trusted to protect them. My father, and instead he killed my eldest I found my second youngest alive but only barely he had tried to protect his elder brother. His injuries were too great to be healed and he died. My sons died when they were only five. I killed my father in return for him killing my sons."

Rin looked down at her cup as tears flowed from her eyes and down her cheeks, she took a deep breath and bowed her head "I'm sorry for loss." He looked at her and spoke a question just as nosy "So tell me briefly of your past." She thought about how to sum up her past in a few short sentences "Okay, I was orphaned thanks to bandits. I then lived in a village where I met my mate I tended to his wounds in the forest without the villagers knowing. However shortly after that my village was attacked by wolves and everyone died, even me."

She paused and glared daggers at him "Your opening up hold wounds can't I have a drink to ease the pain?" He glared back at her and shook his head "No, if I gave you another you might past out from the alcohol. Rin decided to go one with her answer as she let out a hiccup before continuing.

"My mate somehow revived me, and I traveled with him. I lost my life traveling with him and was brought back again. However he told me and his other ward to live in a human village for the rest of my days. That village was attacked and he and I met again then he took me to a safe place and we argued then he mated me out of anger. He hid me in a barrier and visited once and a while, our relationship grew stronger… but I was soon poisoned and then taken from the feudal. I had my child in this era waited for her to age enough so she would be fine when traveling and now I must learn to protect us both while we travel with demons and humans as threats."

He nodded taking in all her information it sounded like she had tried to sum up her past and goals, but was unable to make it short. Ryuu couldn't blame her many things happened in a flash so. He smirks and then rises from the table taking the cup from Rin and then stacked it with his own and left the room. Rin yawned and closed her eyes as she made herself comfortable on the table, crossing her arms and laying her head on them as if they were a pillow.

Ryuu looks at her as he reentered the room and he decided to ask one last question "What is your mate's name." He stood staring down at his new student and waited she was on the verge of falling asleep she might answer and she might not. Rin nuzzled further into her crossed arm and spoke with a tired voice "Sesshomaru."

His hazel eyes widen as if he had just won the lottery, he smirked and walked over picking her up cradling her like a child. She slept soundly in his arms as he walked to the guest sleeping chambers at the dojo and laid her down on a futon that was there.

"Sleep well Lady Rin."

He then kneeled on one knee placing his hand over his heart as he bowed his head "Lady Rin I shall teach you well." Those final words he stood and left the room as he walked down the hall to his chambers he smirked shaking his head from side to side "I never believed he would chose a woman like this one. She is a good match for him. She shows no fear."

AN:Drunk Rin. LOLXD
