Elder Cryptid: I find any review worth reading, long or short, because it means that someone took the time to tell me how much they enjoy my work (Most of the time), so whether it's long or short lets me know you're happy with it either way .

Leo De Cielo: Well this story would be pretty lame if it just had Menma walkin' about on his own all the time, whilst it will be for a decent length of it he will have a great many interactions with the other characters, I want to try and emphasise that he's trying to help them.

DSM 13

A heavy black blade clashed against the rusted butcher-like sword of the Snake-Men, Menma grinned as he parried the strike and roundhouse'd the man-beast, at his back Siegmeyer blocked the strike of his opponent, before slamming his blade down upon it, cutting deep into the beasts skull, gore showered the onion-bro before said gore turned to ashen flakes and then into souls.

Menma's demonic arm lit up in a blaze of brilliant flames before using the force from said flames to shoot forward, up the stairs that were now available to him, and impaled the female caster right through the stomach, she let out a strangled his as he twisted his arm and forced the flames out even more, grinning deviously he watched as the she-snake died in agony.

"Come Siegmeyer, we have the pinnacle to reach." Said Menma, a grin upon his face, the blood upon his flaming hand bubbled and popped at the intense heat of the flames turning to naught but wisps of smoke, the Knight gathered himself and nodded trailing behind his companion.

Menma smiled at the man, trying to reign in his bloodlust the demonic flaming arm at his side was certainly not helping his image though, the azure blaze slowly died away to mere flickers. "I've come to a conclusion." Spoke Kurama, Menma mentally gestured for him to continue as he and his companion continued their ascent.

"I do not hate you."

"How many years did it take for that to happen?"

"Your new blood thirstiness impresses me. I think now we might finally have something in common, all you need now is some sort of animalistic form and we can talk business." Said the giant fox, chuckling lightly at the end of his words though this chuckle held a slight derision to it.

"Gee Kurama, you know just how to put a flutter in my heart." Said the Shinobi sarcastically.

The beast merely ignored him, "Perhaps you could find something that would do as such…" Muttered the Bijuu thoughtfully.

"I'll make sure to keep an eye out."

Upper Level.

The Onion and the Giant finally saw sunlight, and they were pleased to finally be through that pit of a fortress, at one point Siegmeyer nearly fell of the side due to the narrowness of the bridge and the fact that the swinging axe blades were so close together, Menma broke them. He tore the swinging blades apart to help his new friend and threw the remnants down into the abyssal drop from the near-top of the fortress to the bottom.

Menma was about to speak until he noticed his companion beginning to glow a low white colour, "Ah it seems our paths split here friend, no matter we shall see each other again soon, of that I have no doubt." Said the Knight before laughing from deep in his belly and vanishing into white dust, leaving Menma's world.

Menma tried to touch the spot where his newest friend had inhabited only catching a few flickers of dust, "Alone again…" He mumbled bitterly, his eyes darkened as he spoke, the thunderous sound of an explosion dragged him from his bitterness and drew his attention back to reality. Shards of stone flew towards him, reflexively he rose his arm to shield his eyes from debris.

Growling lowly the Uzumaki scanned around, spotting only the slightest amount of movement from the highest point of the tower he stood upon, with rapid pace he began to scale the walls leaping like a feral beast possessed with otherworldly magic.

As he pounced over the final bound to his target the Uzumaki prepared a great orb of black death, "Rasenringu!" He bellowed the giant turned towards the noise only to receive a painful end as the concentrated chakra burnt its flesh and grinded its bones before exploding outwards from its original placement and banishing the giant's very body. As the Uzumaki landed he did so with grace unequalled.

His chest slowly began to heave as his breath quickened, his pupils dilated and a snarl grew upon his lips, from his spot he could see a massive form of black armour wielding an axe of similar metal, "So…Fucking…ANGRY!" He bellowed as flames coated his form, shrouding him like his fox-cloak leaping from his perch he dove towards the Iron Golem his demonic hand held forward as azure flames exploded from his forearm increasing the speed at which he flew through the air.

The Iron Golem swung its axe at him sending an arcing wave of force towards the flaming man, the two forces met and an explosive cloud of black smoke shrouded the surrounding area.

Menma dropped from the cloud and onto the 'stage' of the fight, the Golem once more swung its axe resulting in another wave, with a punch Menma sent out a wave of blue flames that met the force and exploded once more, running forward like a bullet he leapt into the air and delivered an axe kick to the Golem's helm the metal groaned in protest as it buckled slightly.

Growling his red eyes glowed with fury back flipping off the golem he once more dash towards it the second his foot met the ground and slammed his fist into its chest once more the metal buckled under the powerful blow, "Just. DIE!" Ordered the Yin Chakra holder the entire 'stage' they stood upon was set to flame as an azure pillar of rage and destruction flooded from the Uzumaki.

"Well look who's finally felt some good old battle-rage." Said the Bijuu mirthfully. "Ah humans. Such fragile creatures. We'll have to do away with such things for you my dear container." Kurama finished with a sarcastic edge.

Menma appeared in his mindscape, before the cage within a cave, a seemingly endless cave, the stone was flat at the bottom but the walls and the ceiling were rough, sharp rocks jutted from the sides and fell from the ceiling above.

"One must have self-control, else one is but a beast." Quoted the beast reciting what the sage had once told him, "You sorely lack such a thing." His massive red eyes peered down at the finally calm male before him.

Menma merely sat on the ground and kicked his feet out, propping his arms out to keep his top half upright, "Any idea why I suddenly lost my shit?" Asked the male, boredly.

"More than likely suppressed frustration that was never sorted out coming to a boil added to by the chaotic energies that are integrating themselves into your system. Then again that's just speculation." Replied the Bijuu.

"Not positive. That's not your usual M.O." Said the young man.

"I'm not all-knowing, nor arrogant enough to suggest such. I gave you my assumption, I cannot be 100% mostly because I don't care enough to think too much on it." Replied Kurama, frowning.

"Fair enough." Said the Uzumaki, Shrugging and sighing. "Ugh, this place. I swear it's just like problems are starting to pile up." Flopping onto his back Menma huffed loudly.

"I'm more worried about this 'Primordial Serpent' fool. I have great doubts he meant 'Succeed' Gwyn in any positive matter, the sheer amount of negative energy rolling off him, it was akin to my other half." See the difference between the Yang and Yin chakras were quite stark in contrast, for instance the Yin chakra was closely related to the Heavens, the Sun, Flames and Masculinity. Whilst Yin Chakra was related to Earth, the Moon, Water and femininity. The final thing Menma could attest to due to the fact that he was quite more masculine, in terms of development, than his brother, appearance-wise anyway it could also be interpreted as more feminine in attitude or simply the way of a person.

The point is they were quite contrasting, but the thing about Yin and Yang was easily pointed out by looking at a representative drawing of the symbol, the two halves each had a small fragment of the opposite within one another, one cannot exist without the other.

So whilst Menma's Kurama was logical, calm and collected he could also be very blood thirsty and rage driven. Whilst Naruto's Kurama was the opposite, passionate, wild and ferocious but also able to be calm and peaceful at times.

Menma had only met Naruto's Kurama once, and that was only due to being forced into it by their father so they could 'bond'. Menma did not really agree with such things as he found Naruto's overexcited nature off-putting and more than a little frustrating.

Apparently the blonde boy took after their mother but Menma had spent quite a lot of time with the woman and he didn't see a great deal of similarities besides their positive nature, though Kushina was much mellower than the spaz of a child she had.

"No doubt." Said Menma pulling his mind away from his past and focusing on the present. "I've heard that Lord Gwyn sacrificed himself to continue this age. Pointless if you ask me, I think things should go as they were intended, the 'Age of Fire' should be treated like any other flame, it eventually fades into embers and such is the natural way of things. Fighting it doesn't help anyone if the end."

"Detrimental to the planet possibly." Added Kurama, Menma gave a thumbs up from his position on the ground before his arms flopped back down, agreeing with the massive beast. "Forcing it to remain in one half of its cycle, or however many parts it may have, would do it no good that's for sure."

"And yet doing so allows all those we've met thus far to live. So what to do, take the 'crown' or reject it." Asked Menma, rhetorically, not expecting any real answer.

"That's the question isn't it." Stated Kurama, huffing as he rested his head upon his forepaws. "By the way your body has been dumped in some city by a bunch of freakish bat-demons, you may wish to wake up."

"Well fuck me sideways." Grunted the Uzumaki, his form fading from the mindscape.

"I'd rather not." Said Kurama, the idea of mating with a human, male or female, repulsed him. "Oh god now the image is in my head, that's sick." Grimaced the Bijuu, one of the things that irked him, if he spoke, or in this case heard, something he'd typically imagine it immediately in his head.

That was most of the time a negative trait.

Outside.

Menma awoke, slowly sitting up and almost shivering at the rapid change in temperature, "Fuck why's it so cold?" Asked the black haired male, igniting his hand to warm up his body, holding it close to his chest.

Looking out across the view he had an idea.

A great city, shrouded in nothing but darkness. The massive buildings that no doubt once made for the perfect view in a rich afternoon sky now looked nothing short of ominous.

"Where in the fuck…Anor Londo?!" He exclaimed with question his eyes darting from side to side, "Where'd the sun go!?" He bellowed.

End.

Now, just a hint for the future. The reason that Menma saw through the illusion was not due to his Shinobi training, alright? It has nothing to do with the Narutoverse. So just keep that in mind. Because when it all comes together It's going to blow your fucking mind.

Or at least entertain you.

I hope.
