Chapter 9

A weird guy with purple hair that stood up like a Mohawk, which looks odd with the glasses but strangely suited the guy, sort of. He wore a black jacket with white outline on the zip and collar, with grey trousers and black shoes; he dresses like a normal person, that's actually shocking. I was guessing hunters were required to dress odd. The first examiner, Satotz, wore a bright old fashion purple suit, the second examiner, Menchi, wore barely nothing and her boots covered more skin than anything, the other second examiner, Buhara, didn't wear shoes and old pervert wore a weird formal clothing and wooden shoes which looked far from comfy.

"Ladies and gentlemen, congratulations having escaped Trick Tower. Only the fourth phase and the final phase remain. The fourth phase will take place over there, on Zevil Island. Let us proceed."

He snaps his fingers summoning a weird ugly bold guy to bring him something. I look at the box curious what it's for?

The examiner continue to explain "I will need you to draw lots."

Everyone mumbles in confusion, on what's going on. I just silently wonder what the next phase is.

"To determine who will be hunt and who will be the hunted." Who? Hunt? We are going to go on an island and we are drawing lots but for what. I look down and see my tag. Hmm everyone has a different tag we could be hunting one another. This sounds like fun been awhile since I hunted. We're hunting each other huh? I might as well create a challenge for the unlucky bastard who draws my number. I already feel sorry for the poor guy. I discreetly and swiftly remove my badge from my shirt and tuck it into my pocket that is hidden in my skirt. I look at Killua and smirk slightly. He just looks confused, guess he hasn't figured yet.

I turn my attention back to the examiner to see him looking at me approvingly; guess I was right after all.

He gestures to the box that the weird old bold guy rolled to him. "In here are twenty-four numbered cards. In other words, your ID numbers are on the cards. Now, I need you each to draw a card, in the order by which you exited the tower." Glad I'm second I would lose track otherwise, second is easy to remember. "Will the first come forward?"

I turn to watch Hisoka walks forward and take a card from the box, no one is shocked to see that he finished first. I watch as he leaves before making my way to the box, as I start to walk to the box I hear everyone else murmurs, stating how did a brat make it down, brat must of had the easy route what is wrong with everyone calling me brat? Oh well I can use this to my advantage, make everyone see me as weak and gives me a chance to memorise their tags and important features. I pause at the box and look at it; I reach into the box and remove a single card. Its blank, I look at the other side to see a red and black diamond pattern. I face the crowd and notice everyone still wearing their badges. Guess they haven't figured that the badges identify everyone. I purposely trip other nothing and drop my card.

"Itai! That hurt." I rub my knees as if it was hurt. Not that I would ever be that clumsy. I scan my prey memorising each scent, ready for my hunt. My hunt has already begun. I memorise smells, faces and their numbers. I pick up my card once I have memorised everything I need, I stand up carefully dust myself off and pretend to be embarrassed as I walk over to Gon and Killua. Killua looks at me suspicious and Gon looks slightly concerned but I wave it off. I smirk at Killua confirming his that I was up to something.

We watch as everyone takes their turns going up and getting their cards of their prey. I feel myself getting excited, one of the things which the majority of the animal kingdom have in common with a slight few exceptions, is that animals love to hunt. Being with animals passed on such a trait to myself not that I can complain, hunting down prey is fun, even if there is no blood involved.

"Hey, Killua, Rochelle?" I turn to look at Gon wondering what is could be thinking about. I admit I'm weird but Gon is weird in another sense. How can anyone be that oblivious to tension I think I will never know how; it will remain a mystery that me and Killua, I may end up tearing our fur... hair out.

"He said something about hunting and being hunted. Does that mean we will be fighting each other?"

I go to answer but Killua interrupts me."Yeh probably." Grrr, he can be so annoying. And he walks off to the box.

"We will most likely be hunting one another not a direct fight though it may lead to that. But if you're sneaky enough it won't necessarily become one. There are many ways to avoid a direct fight whilst hunting, but then again it is rather fun to fight whilst hunting." I stop and look at Gon he looks like he wants to say something but Killua walks back towards us so that means it's his turn to walk to the box and back again.

Once everyone has their card purple starts talking again, "Everyone got their card. Then, remove the seal from your card."

I watch as everyone removes their seals and remove mine in the same way. Hmmm #222, he smells average, I have no idea how he got this far, he wouldn't be tasty to eat. He has a long thin sword at his waist, so he is somewhat skilled with weapons. His hair is comb back neatly in a ponytail and is freakish tidy, shirt tucked in and all. Overall boring guy with something shoved up his ass, I'm thinking a tree by just looking at him anyway, or it could be the tower though. No matter what this is hardly worth my time and won't make good prey.

"The card indicates your target." Everyone looks shocked and starts covering their badges and looking at everyone else's frantically trying to figure out who they have. I thought it was obvious on what he meant, I guess not.

"This box has recorded which card each of you have drew. This means that you're free to dispose of the cards if you wish. The objective is to steal your targets ID tag."

Damn were not even hunting a person were hunting a tag.

"Oh so we don't need to kill each other then." Some weakling asked, guess he's skirmish them.

"Naturally, you're free to use any method you choose." I lick my lips in anticipation, sounds fun, not as much fun I could have had if I was hunting the person down I could have humiliated him before dragging him back. "Including killing your target and taking the tag off the corpse." What to do shall I frighten my target into giving it to me, steal the tag without even him realising it, do I remove tree ass from the living so people will no longer need to deal with such a human again. Choices, choices.

I snap out of it quickly can't leak bloodlust here. I went through the effort of making them think I'm weak after all.

"That sounds like the fastest way." Why would a weakling say that? I may just looking at him you can tell he hasn't got much experience in killing, he's seen it but never experienced blood soaking his hands. It's best to ignore such idiots their brother is obviously not up to the idea of killing so they have never killed.

"Listen carefully! Your target's ID tag is worth three points. Your own tag is worth three points. All other ID tags are worth one point. You need six points to advance to the Final phase. So while on Zevil Island, you must gather enough Id tags to total six points. That is the condition for clearing the Hunter Exam's Fourth phase."

Another boat, tension is thick in the air and everyone is suspicious of one another. I wonder who has me as a target. If its Gon or Killua what would I do, it's tempting to let them have my tag if that's the case and then hunt an extra three tags then I can make my hunt last longer, and so I can be round them longer they are fun to be round. Just giving them my tag won't do Killua said in the first round not to do that, I can't drag around them though just cause there fun. I stand up and walk towards Gon, I sense Killua already making his way there.

I see Gon sitting down looking up at the birds and the sky and sit in front of him.

"Yo." Ah Killua got here then. He sits on the other side of Gon.

"What number did you guys draw?" Killua asks us seriously.

I look at him pulling the most serious face that I can.

"What number did you draw?"

"How about you?" I look at Killua, Killua looks at Gon and Gon looks at me.

"Secret." Killua answers whilst looking away from Gon. We all look away from one another and stare off at something. I feel my lip quirking up, the tension only lasts 10 seconds till.

"Hahhahaha." We all burst out, looks like none of us took it seriously.

"Don't worry. Neither of you are my target." Killua answers to us clearing the air. I feel better now that we won't have to be against one another or hunt each other. I look at Gon worried. Gon is the fresh air of our group, me and Killua are both killers but Gon saves me from my past I can only assume that it's the same for Killua. Gon is different he doesn't look down on our pasts, he tries to understand and truly accepts us as we are, as a whole. It's truly a great feeling, though I'm worried if that will last when I tell him I can shift into different animals.

"And my target isn't either of you." Gon responds they both look at me.

"Nope, neither of you are my prey." I smile at them. We don't have to hunt one another. We can all move on together if we succeed. I don't want to separate from either of them.

"Show each other our numbers at the same time?" Killua suggests, I reach for my hat I place both my badge and targets number in my hat when I was hidden from everyone's view, everyone expects for them to be hidden in pockets. Plus I have to guard my hat in case my ears pop out.

I see both Gon and Killua staring at me I never had my hat off in front of them and there was that time I dodged all their attempts of grabbing it. My cat ears may not be out but I think I should tease them more. I reach for my hat and slip my hand under, without removing it completely, so everything is still covered and grab my card and remove my hand from my hat.

I grin at both of them I can't hide a grin from their expressions, Gon has his cheeks puffed out and is pouting and Killua is just old fashioned pissed off. Aw their pouting and angry faces are so cute I reach for Gon, since his pouting face is closer and is less likely to bite me. I grab Gon's cheeks and pull on them.

"Ow ow ow. My cheeks! Rochelle, stop. Gah" he rubs his abused red cheeks I fall back laughing. Killua stopped looking pissed and is grinning also. I look at Gon and look back at Killua and grin. Gon just looks confused for a moment until he shares a grin of his own. We both leap at the same time. I grab Killua's right cheek and Gon grabs his left. We pull his cheeks at the same time whilst laughing manically.

"Wait! What are you-? Gah! Stop!" Killua pleads and struggles to get away but we are both blocking any attempt.

Once we finally stop Killua is between pissed and pouting. We just laugh at him. I rest an arm on Gon as we fall back.

"Oh" I gasp and sit up. "We haven't shown each other our targets" I say sheepishly since I started it all. I rub the back of my head embarrassed for getting caught in the moment and forgetting so quickly. Gon has a similar reaction as well.

"Well whose fault is that?" Killua yells at me. Yeh I deserve that.

The two rummage for their cards, I hold mine ready to show them when they are.

"Ready, and …" Killua and Gon say at the same time we all show our cards at the same time. Gon has the number, damn, bad luck. Gon is really unlucky it just had to be Hisoka. Hisoka is interested in Gon and shouldn't kill him yet, it's too soon, Gon isn't strong enough to entertain him yet so I doubt he would. But then again people can get caught in the moment and he may do it by accident. Damn. I look at Killua's target ah he got the brother in yellow, he is broader than the other two and it isn't all muscle, in fact barely any muscle. #44 and #199 with myself having #222.

"#44 is… seriously? You really have bad luck." I nod Killua stated my thoughts as well. Though it would be a challenge but Gon, Gon there is little chance really, he may get it but after that… I don't know.

"You think so?" Gon asks. I just nod my head at him. "Whose #199 and #222" Gon asks whilst looking at our numbers.

"You don't know either?" so Killua doesn't know his target huh.

"Uh-huh" Gon agrees I just smirk, I know.

"I didn't bother to memorise everyone's numbers. After the initial explanation, I started checking tags, but everyone had already removed them. That's lame…" I think about it I want it to be more interesting so I grab my tag and place it back on, proud of my number and wanting things to be more interesting. I notice Killua looking at me.

"So it will be more interesting." I answer his unasked question. "Do you want me to tell you your target? I memorised everyone's tag when I 'tripped' at the box." I look at Killua and he looks shocked.

"Really? Yeh and whose your target?" Gon looks just as curious as Killua.

"My target is the guy with the sword, with the tree stuck somewhere." Gon looks confused and Killua stifles his giggles. "Your target is one of the three brothers, the brother with the yellow t-shirt."

He looks discreetly at them and gives me a nod in thanks. We both look at Gon concerned for him. I notice him shaking, but it doesn't look like it is out of fear. No his eyes, are shining in excitement, he's excited. I smirk at the thought, it would be a good challenge and it will show him the gap between him and others.

"Gon…" Killua says getting Gon's attention.

"Huh. What?"

"Are you happy? Or scared?" Killua asks smugly already knowing the answer but wanting to hear it directly from Gon. I look at them, equally smug. Thought the question obviously throws Gon off, he isn't familiar with this side of himself.

"Both I guess…In a straight-up fight, I wouldn't stand a chance." Glad that he knows that, I feel relieved that he won't be jump and attack him head on, he has some brains then. "But if I only need to steal his ID tag, then I have a real shot." True he hasn't hidden his tag most likely he is testing the one hunting him and it serves no real purpose to him. It wouldn't really surprise me that he will just give his tag to Gon if Gon impresses Hisoka.

"Yeh." Killua agrees.

"Right now, I might actually have a chance. That scares me a little…but I think it's worth it." He continues on.

"I see." Killua has faith in Gon that he will pass. He stands up and starts walking away. "Well, let's do our best." He suddenly stops and looks at Gon. "Make sure you stay alive, Gon, Rochelle." Or maybe not.

"Be careful Hisoka isn't the only contestant in the exam there is #301 who matches his strength. You need to be careful of him Killua." I suddenly remember my plans of telling them more of my past with my sensei's and the promise to teach them a trick. "After the exam can we meet up again? I want to tell the two of you something and I still need to show you a cool trick like I promised you two during the run. Oh which reminds me you promised me that I can learn about that skateboard and that… um…. Fishing rod?"

They both look at me, Gon's eyes are bright and excited and enthusiastically nods his head at me. Killua looks at me with shocked eyes but swiftly turns away from us with pink ears and nods

"Yeh that sounds like fun!" Gon happily shouts. I giggle slightly glad that I asked them, I want to share more about myself to them, like they have told me. I want to learn more about them too. I get up and walk away excited about what is to come and happy about my future plans.

I watch as the boat draws nearer to the island I watch my prey out of the corner of my eye. I already know where he is hiding his badge I could steal it before we even land. I sigh and let my head fall into my hands, such a boring hunt. I know who is supposed to be hunting me also the guy is staring at me with a joyful expression. How can I spice this up, I can always take my tag now he never did say when the exam starts only that we have a week. I also can scare the guy so much that he gives it to me, I wonder how much I can scare the guy in a week. I wonder if I can mentally scar him for life, I never left a scare victim alive before. I don't think Gon would be happy if I did that though... well I don't think so anyway.

I could steal his tag quickly and spend the rest of the time on the island exploring, I haven't spent much time in animal form recently except for sleeping, but that was by accident. It would make things more interesting to hide in plain sight in the form of a cat.

Now how to make stealing the tag interesting there are a limited amount of ways to go about it. There is the method of scaring him but not too much, don't want to accidently anger Gon. I could steal the badge whilst he's walking on the island and flash the badge off and run off quickly then shift so I can watch their faces. I could simply walk in the forest and wait for my prey and the second he takes his first step attack him and steal the tag and make it appear to be a random animal attack but leave him alive that would freak everyone out. Gon and Killua know of my past and who my target is so it will provide free entertainment for them and it hints at what I want to tell them later.

We finally landed on the island we had to come off the boat in the order which we finished the tower so I won't have wait long. I watch as Hisoka leaves the boat being followed by blood butterflies, they have a strange attraction to blood and are able to find blood better than some animals, one of the most blood thirsty animals yet they aren't able to spill blood of others.

After two minutes I take my cue to leave the boat and take a step on the island, I look back to Gon and Killua. I smirk and wave at them. I see confusion on Killua's face and pure good intentions on Gon's. Whilst mid wave I disappear from their sight, moving swiftly and slightly. I dash for cover in a tree and watch the confusion and shocked on their faces, I nearly end up laughing at the person who is supposed to be hunting me face turned fearful and looking at everyone else to pick a new target, well targets. I shift into a small cat and watch the boat waiting for my cue to have a bit of fun. I shift into a small cat so I can watch my prey. Yes the hunt is on.

I see my target beginning to make his move. I carefully leap from the tree and soundlessly land on the ground I shift into a bigger form of a large tiger. The main part of my body is now pitch black and I have blood red strips decorating my body. My eyes are now blood red with a black slit for a pupil. I have brown fur underneath my chin and underbelly and a brown tipped tail. My teeth are very large and threatening and are the length of a two grown men's hands.

I watch my prey walk across the bridge. I see him place his foot on the island and inwardly smirk and what is to come. I loudly growl. The sound resounds around the area and my prey freezes. Slowly his hand goes to his sword and pulls it out in front of him. That tooth pick of a sword won't save him. I slowly and threatening step out of the bushes and growl again. My eyes are focussed on my prey I stalk forward and watch as his face shows sign of fear. I stop at a distance and watch my prey. I open my wide jaws too show off my teeth and with a roar I leap forward. My claws dig into his clothes and scrape against his skin I rip at his clothes, removing the pocket with the tag. Just scrapping my claws against his skin left angry cuts. I attack again succumbing to instinct but being careful to not kill him. He swings his toothpick of a sword at me. I open my strong jaws and bite down on the sword snapping on it. I crouch lower and pounce at him again he tries to run but with nowhere to run I crash into him, knocking him out. I sniff him and turn away his tag was tucked into my curled tail. I stalked back into the forest.

After I got my tag I wondered around the island to search for anything interesting, but I got bored. There is nothing of interest. I should have dragged out hunting. So I lie down in a tree in a clearing the sun is hitting the area just right. I am in cat form so no one will look at me twice. I stretch out my limbs and curl up and sleep, only acutely aware of the human presence in the area.

When I wake up from my nap, I instantly realise I'm not alone. I peak through the branches to see who I'm sharing the tree with, I freeze at the sight of Hisoka.

"Hmmm? What have we here?" damn he must of noticed my shadow. I go further into the leaves in an attempt to hide from hide from his reach but it is all in vain. He grabs me by the scruff of my neck and takes me out of my hiding place. Darn him why can't he just let me rest in peace. Wait forget that I don't want to rest in peace that sounds like something people say when their dead.

My cat form is different to form I shifted on the air ship so he won't recognise me as the same cat unless he sees the exact same collar I wore before, yeh I'm screwed. I am the same species as I was when I attacked my target only smaller, younger. As I am in the form I would take if I was of that species and not forcing my form to take an older shape, which tires me out more, as it takes more energy but is necessary after all baby animals aren't as frightening. However due to natural shift and not forcing myself to take an appearance older than my years, my collar is around my neck.

He picks me up and sits back down on the ground looking at me. Holding me up at eye level. I attempt to scratch him but when I see the look in his eyes I stop immediately. He smiles at me and lowers me so I'm in his lap. I look up at him, then I turn sniffing the air as I do. I take in Gon's scent, so here to. He's hiding his energy very well, I wonder if he does using only instinct, he never showed evidence of knowing it before.

I go to move off of Hisoka's lap but he stops me by slipping his pointer finger round my collar, so I only manage to choke myself, not fun.

"Ah ah ah." He tuts at me as if scolding a child.

I pout slightly looking at him which just makes him chuckle. I growl, he is treating me like a pet. I'm no one's pet! He takes notices of my emotions string in my eyes, but only pets me as if to calm me down. I will deny that it did calm me down and that I purred. He chuckles as if knowing my reluctance. He fingers my collar. I stiffen slightly and attempt in new vigour to get away. Damn can't let him see the collar. I go to bite his finger with my sharp fangs but his other hand grabs my neck. I freeze, damn. I look at him dead in the eye, glaring at him but his only show amusement. He looks at the name on the collar and looks at me in the eye again and the light in his eyes brightens, as if someone gave him a new toy. He releases my neck and I just inwardly groan and flop down in his lap and look at the field and back to him silently asking permission. He just grins and shakes his head. I growl at him and turn away from him still in his lap. Though as petty it may be I stretched my limbs and released my claws into his leg as a form of revenge. Which sadly only made him chuckle. Damn him!

We sit in silence. I thought he would raise some questions or something, this silence is really creepy. Though Hisoka is creepy normally anyway. I keep fidgeting in his lap, I don't like being restricted to having to sit in his lap. But the bastard won't let me leave. If I go too far towards his legs he yanks my tail, which hurts as much as dislocating a shoulder. If I go to move to jump away he grabs me by my scruff and tuts at me. He is enjoying way too much. It's like he just got a brand new toy. I'm not anyone's toy. This is humiliating and when I take breaks in between of easily dismissed escapes he pets me and get me to purr. It's infuriating that he is able to make me purr.

I can't shift since Gon is near and would see, I could shift into other forms but I wouldn't hold any advantage over Hisoka he obviously wants me to stay putt though I have no idea why. I bet it's just because he's a bastard, or that he really does think of me as a toy. I will have to wait till an opportunity arises were I can leave or wait for him to get bored and let me leave. Damn that makes me feel weak. I hate feeling weak.

I wonder if Hisoka is suspicious of the reason or he is thinking of reasons which would explain the silence. Damn him! Why couldn't he just let me nap in peace in stay in the tree? I sense someone approaching and hide my smirk, I hope that they will distract Hisoka enough so I can leave. I glance behind me at Hisoka who merely grins. Yep he's definitely creepy. He reaches for and I try to get away but he is too fast. Crap. He holds me by my scruff he lowers me into the crook of his left arm and lightly soothes my fur with his right hand.

We sit in silence for a while ignoring the persons existence. I feel Hisoka shift getting ready to stand up. Though I'm still in his arm. I hiss at him and try to leave but he just pokes me on the nose. Grrr why does he have to be so annoying.

"Well, come on out." I settle down, why he can't just let me go, I doubt I want to know, especially with that creepy grin he is wearing.

"I know you there." I look towards the person hiding in the bushes right next to Gon. How are they hiding right next to each other yet neither of them know that they are hiding their hiding spot? I know Gon is hiding better than the other guy, but come on you would think at least Gon would notice the guy.

"If you won't come out, I'll come to you." He gets up and is still holding me. I heighten my senses linking myself with the best appropriate animals. If I want to escape this will be my best chance and I'm not giving up on it.

He starts heading towards the bushes which the intruder is hiding in. I hope Gon stays in hiding long enough.

Suddenly the guy next to Gon stands up and reveals himself to us all. I smell blood. A lot of blood. This guy is going to die. He's a walking corpse. I will need to act fast cause this guy won't be a distraction for long. I just hope Hisoka is underestimating me, and not looking at me as a potential threat. If he thinks little of me there is a chance for me if not, I better get comfy.

Suddenly the guy brings out his spear. Which destroys the top of the bush that Gon is hiding in. I refuse to yet emotion show in my face. However on the inside I am laughing my head off. I bet Gon got a haircut, I can imagine his face.

"I challenge you Hisoka. Fight me!" the man challenges.

This won't end well for him. He repositions his spear and stalks forward. His walk shows his determination, this guy is determined to die fighting, but his eyes are dead. Fighting someone who only wishes for death are no fun. It makes you think you're doing them a favour so when your mission is fun they are the worst type of prey; since they aren't prey, just a walking corpse searching for its grave.

The man lowers himself into a crouch ready to spring into attacking. Knowing Hisoka fights for fun he won't fight this guy.

He charges forward aiming to skewer Hisoka in the side. I feel Hisoka's muscles tighten in a way to prepare him to leap back out of range. I subtly as I can reposition myself so my legs are prepared to leap once I shift. Hisoka leaps back as soon as he is in the air I shift as quick as I can into a rat but with hind legs which are really powerful so I once we are mid-air I leap forward over the top of the walking corpse. Hisoka goes to grab me but I dive forwards to quickly shift my speed so I'm out of his reach.

As soon as my feet touch the ground, I shift once more. I take the form of a red and yellow spotted horse, the muscles that are on the legs and stomach show it's built for speed. I leap into action, focused on getting away, not wanting to be caught again. I dive into the woods and dash ahead, intent on getting as far as I can from Hisoka.

However my escapade is cut short. I sense the air shift I dodge the first set of pins coming at me but that was a mere distraction and I end up backing up into Killua's brother. Crap. How didn't I notice him? Damn he threw the pins and was able to get behind me before the pins hit. He's fast.

He grabs me with one hand. With his other hand which I notice is holding a pin he strikes me, so quickly I am unable to do anything hits a point and disturbs my control of the shift, forcing me to return to human form. He picks me up and carries me back towards the direction I came from.

We make it back to the clearing. I see that Hisoka is sitting calmly on a log, waiting for walking corpse to find his grave, he is perfectly relaxed and is anticipating us to enter the clearing. Why does this creep have to see me as a toy? Bastard.

I watch impassively as walking corpse makes his last stand to get Hisoka to fight him. Throwing away what was left of his skills in the desperation. I let a sigh at the sight. Killua raises a single pin and throws it. I watch it as it perfectly land in his throat. Freezing him and managing to silence the noisy corpse. He throws a second lot of pins at the barely living corpse killing him instantly. I watch emotionless as he falls down dead.

We enter the clearing. He holds four pins in one hand and dragging me in his other.

"Sorry about that. I carelessly let him escape." He explains. I shake my head at him even suggesting that. If that bastard was able to get away even if by chance then I would of got away by now.

"Liar." Hisoka voices my thoughts. "He probably begged you to grant him one final wish, yes?"

"Well, I felt sorry for the guy. Given that he was dead either way." Gittarackur walks towards Hisoka, still dragging me. Both completely ignoring me.

"You should cease pitting enemies who serve no purpose."

"You've done it before, haven't you? You've walked away from opponents before finishing them. "

"I have standards. I'm not interested in people who have no purpose. I only spare whose deaths would go to waste. What about his tag? Oh I already took it. I have six points now so I don't need this one." that was a quick change of topic. With one hand still restrain me he reaches to grab a tag. "You can have it."

He tosses the extra tag to Hisoka. I look at the corpse who found his grave and to the tag. Killua's brother doesn't seem to be the type to purposely hunt the corpse down for no reason. So the extra tag must have come from someone else who pissed the assassin off. They probably tried to assassinate him poorly.

"Whose tag is this?" Hisoka simply questions.

"It belonged to some guy who tried to snipe me." Yep, idiot try to assassinate a pro assassin. "He ticked me off so I killed him." He pauses and looks at me for the first time since getting to the clearing. I'm not even sure if he even looked at me before.

"Well then. I found this running away from you so I brought it back." He counties to talk to Hisoka and talking like I'm not here and as if I'm a thing.

I restrain my emotions from showing and keep my face blank, and focus on not allowing the growl in my throat to come out.

"Ahh yes she is an interesting one. Someone else who knows nen. And uses it in such a unique way. Where did you learn nen, kitten?" I look at him confused.

"What's nen?" I won't bother hiding my cluelessness, since I can't avoid it since that is what he asked and I'm generally curious.

He looks at me as if trying to solve a puzzle. I generally confuse him it seems. I wonder what he could be talking about. I sit down on the ground and try to get comfortable, ignoring the hand which is tightly gripping my shirt. Nen? What have I used everyone else haven't and what both of these two know. I wonder.

I see that both of them are looking at me oddly. Though it is hard to tell what Killua's brother is thinking since he is in disguise.

"Hmm? You're an interesting one. You're able to use it without being taught." Hisoka responds but I notice that he didn't answer my question.

"You're brother doesn't know you're here does he." I state as I look at Gittarackur. I feel him tense slightly and look at me as if thinking something. "You smell similar. I don't enter business where I don't belong, so I haven't said anything. I wouldn't even really know how to put it anyway, since how can one not recognise their own brother but a stranger can, one who never met their family before. I have my own secrets so I can't blurt out how can I? The only way I would I get involved in family matters is if it somehow enters my own." I don't really know why I said it maybe so it threat not to enter my business or some reason.

He gives me a once other again and releases me. I stand up, I look at them both, and I give them a quick nod of the head and dash off towards Gon. I hear Gon's heart race since I'm hyper aware and make sure my path avoids his hiding spot. As I run off I don't pause to stop or look at him. But I do give him a thumbs up when I'm certain the foliage is blocking Hisoka's and Gittarackur's line of sight of my hand.

I run off, this time to make sure I stay far away from them both.

finished this chapter, the final exam is next. Any suggestions on who she will fight in the tournament will help loads i'm torn currently. I want her to be able to show off some of her skills or should i wait till heavens tower for her to use her nen in a fight? i'm leaning towards her pure physical with no nen and wait till heavens tower for nen to come into play.

Thank you for reading. hope you guys will let me know your thoughts.
