Chapter 8: I trust you
It's been a week since the trio has been staying on the Moby Dick and they've warmed up to all the pirates except one. Marshall D. Teach. Luffy still hasn't figured anything else about him other than the fact that he's planning something, and he's only using Whitebeard. Currently the Trio are sitting around the Grand Piano with Sabo playing and Luffy practicing one of her songs the pirates are all quiet as they listen to her angelic voice, but after listening to a few of the brats songs they realized that all the songs are about them in someway. Be it their past or their personalities, or about the unusually close relationship between Ace and Luffy. Sabo keeps telling them to not dwell on it and just go with the flow, so that's what they do.

'Just as I thought that was insightful.' Marco thought.
"Amazing Luffy, You're getting a lot better." Sabo praised receiving a giggle from the Kitsune.
"Thank you, well I'm done for the day, how about you Ace?"
"Naw I'm good. How about we spar, instead?" He suggested.
"Now there's an idea I could go for a work out." Sabo said hopping of the piano bench.
"Who goes first?"
"Rock paper scissors." After doing that the order became Ace vs Sabo, Ace vs Luffy, and Sabo vs Ace, and so on they kept the rules from when they used to spar and that 100 matches per day. Since their time on the Moby Dick the commanders have been training them everyday, and they've gotten a lot stronger. Sabo is especially skilled in hand to hand combat and sword fighting. Ace specializes in hand to hand combat like Luffy, which is greatly enhanced by their devil fruit ability.
"So were you listening." Thatch asked.
"Yep. Come on yoi lets watch their fight." He said going out on deck.
"You know everyday Ace sings his songs and gives us Luck and ever since we've never been hit by the bizarre weather of the New World." Thatch mentioned.
"Yep and we always thought Luck didn't exist yoi."
"Yep oh yeah I almost forgot we're finally approaching an inhabited island, we should be there in a few hours.
"Really!" Came a cute high pitched voice.
"Really Luffy." Thatch replied with a smile. "You excited?"
"Will you be with us the whole time?" Luffy asked.
"Of course you won't leave our sight yoi."
"Promise?" she asked with big trusting eyes.
"Promise."
"Alright! We're finally here!" Ace yelled.
"Yes a new Adventure!" Luffy followed.
"What kind of island is this?" Sabo asked.
"Just a regular shopping island. There are no Marines here, and all the pirates cleared out once they saw our ship coming, so it should be safe." Thatch answered.
"But you should still stick with us." Namur added.
"Well are you ready to go shopping yoi?" Marco asked.
"Yep." And with that the six of them left the ship and headed for the town Luffy holding on to Marco's hand and Ace and Sabo sticking close to Thatch and Namur. As they walked through town all eyes were on the cute little trio making them stick closer to the pirates. This of course didn't go unnoticed by the commanders so they gave everyone that looked at the kids a death glare and released some killing intent to make them go away.
"Relax yoi." Marco told the brats when Luffy started squeezing the life out of his hand.
"Yeah chill we got you're back only the stupid ones will risk coming near you." Thatch reassured.
"Right sorry, force of habit." Sabo apologized.
"Come on let's check out this store." Namur suggested.
"Welcome to our store if you need any help please do not hesitate to ask for assistance." A women said. "Oh how cute, you three are so adorable." She said trying to get closer to them only to have them flinch and back away. "Oh don't be afraid here have some candy." This made even Ace and Sabo grab on to Thatch, and Namur's hand and Luffy tighten her grip on Marco's.
"Thanks for the thought but they're allergic to caramel, sorry, and I don't want to spoil their appetite." Thatch explained.
"Oh is that so okay than." She said and then walked away.
"You guys okay?" Namur asked.
"Y-yeah." Sabo stuttered.
"Are you sure you didn't even take the candy?" Thatch asked. 'In fact it scared them even more.'
"Yeah what happened yoi?"
"S-she did something to those candies, there not normal." Luffy explained.
"Huh?" was the brilliant response from the commanders.
"Awe they're so innocent they don't even know." Ace teased trying to change the subject.
"Excuse me?" Thatch questioned falling for it while Marco sighed.
"Come on Ace don't tease them to much." Sabo helped.
"Look Clothes." Luffy pointed out excitedly effectively changing the subject completely.
"Yes clothes, go on pick out some that you like don't worry about money we got it covered yoi." Marco said getting the hint. The kids did just that Luffy picked out some dresses, tank tops, sleeveless hoodies, and miniskirts, with some sandals. Ace got tank tops, t-shirts, and shorts, with black flats, and boots and Sabo go t-shirts, shorts, and jackets with black boots, and they each also go a winter outfit as well with all the accessories included.
"Thank you so much." Luffy said.
"It's no problem yoi. Now what do you say we go get some lunch?"
"Food!" Luffy cheerfully agreed rushing out the store completely care free.
"Not again." Ace groaned.
"Why does she always run off." Sabo followed.
"Don't know but one of these days she's going to be the death of me." Ace said before taking off after her the commanders following suit.
"Luffy!" Ace yelled when he saw Luffy surrounded by men.
"Ace!" She yelled back. He rushed over to her and the both put the men under the genjutsu so that they wouldn't have to reveal their devil fruits and risk getting a bounty.
"Luffy you really got to stop running off like that. It's already hard not worrying about you when you're standing right next to me." Ace said pulling Luffy into a hug.
"I'm sorry Ace but I knew you'd save me." Luffy said with a smile hugging him back causing onlookers to get noise bleeds.
Ace sighed, "You really know how to make your big bother worry don't you."
Luffy pouted, "What what's wrong now?" Ace asked.
"I won't tell you yet since you don't understand." She responded and went back to Marco leaving behind a confused Ace.
The commanders that were watching sweat dropped. 'Poor Ace, but seriously what's up with their relationship.' They thought.
"Don't worry Ace you'll figure it out soon I'm sure." Sabo said patting Ace on the back.
"Or you can tell me now." Ace said as they walked into a restaurant but Sabo just ignored him with a smirk and the six of them sat at a table. They each ordered something and happily ate while they talked, Luffy was so excited and practically everyone she passed had evil intentions for her and her brothers, that she just ignored them and trusted that the commanders would protect them if something should happen, but she completely forgot of the possibility of this happening.
After eating the six of them decided it was time to head back to the ship, it was getting dark after all the setting sun painted the once blue skies into dark orangish red, with a hint of violet.
As the kids headed back toward the ship they started to take notice of a weird feeling growing in their body, an all to familiar one at that. They each knew what was happening and it took everything they had not to kick themselves for letting down their guard. In any case they had to get back to their rooms asap. Who knew what the pirates would do if they found out what happened to them. However this could be the final test, came a small voice that whispered to them in the depths of their mind but they decided to ignore it. It s true if the commanders find out than their actions on the matter would greatly increase of decrease their trust in the pirates, but like hell they'll be telling them. They'd have to figure it out for themselves.
"Hey guys so your back how'd the shopping go, got everything they need?" Izo asked.
"Yep, everything was fine." Thatch replied.
"But I think it's best if we get the kids to there room now, as you can see they're pretty tiered yoi." Marco suggested, as the commanders glanced down at the kids. They noticed their breathing become heavy and their checks tinted pink.
"Yeah are they okay? They look sick." Haruta observed with a concered look in her eyes.
"Their fine trust me yoi."
"Yeah we just need to go to sleep." Sabo said.
"Alright. That's everything." Namur stated as they put away the last of the trios clothes.
"Alright thanks for everything." Sabo thanked trying to stand on weak legs.
"No problem."
"Yeah well see you tomorrow." Luffy said trying to get them to leave.
"Yeah about that." Thatch said as he walked over to shut the door. "Isn't there something you're not telling us?"
"What are you talking about hurry up and leave already." Ace demanded. It was obvious to the three commanders what happened the kids were drugged. It was easy to tell their faces were flushed and their breath was coming out in short pants. They were also starting to sweat indicating their body temperature has risen.
"Sorry no can do yoi. You were drugged weren't you why don't you ask us for help." Marco sighed.
"H-how did you know?" Luffy asked finally clasping to the ground, Marco started to make his way over to her, so that he could set her on the bed but Ace and Sabo were at her side.
"We can handle it ourselves we don't need your help, so don't touch her." Ace yelled.
"That's not what I meant by help yoi!" Marco yelled back a blush on his checks.
"He's right, we know how to remove the drug from your body." Thatch explained.
"Oh so that's it." Sabo sighed falling to his knees.
"Sorry for doubting you again." Ace apologized sinking to the ground as well. The trio were now sprawled out on the floor panting, sweat was rolling down there pink faces as they looked up at the commanders and said, "Help us please."
The commanders fought off a blush.
"Thatch Namur I'll make sure no one comes in the room you two go and…"
"Yeah got it." Namur answered leaving the room.
"Leave it to us." Thatch added shutting the door behind him.
"Come on, we have to hurry, before it gets to painful for them." Thatch said to Namur who grunted in response.
"Marco." Luffy moaned.
"W-what yoi?" he responded after sitting in a room with these three even he's gotten restless how long till Thatch and Namur get back.
"It's hooooooot." Luffy complained.
"Sorry but hang in there alright, Thatch and Namur will be right back yoi." He said
"Damn it how long until they get here." Ace panted out through uneven breathes.
"They should be back any minute now." Marco reassured, after Sabo let out a small whimper.
"It huurrts." He complained. "I…nee Ahh." He moaned as he rolled over on to his side.
"Damn it!." Marco swore as he got up to get to the door just as he was about to reach for the handle when Thatch and Namur came in with three glasses filled with juice.
"What took you so long yoi?" Marco yelled.
"Sorry." Thatch apologized giving Marco a glass. They each went over to the three brats and helped them to swallow the glasses contents. Slowly the juice started to take effect, and their breathing was coming back to normal, as well as their body temperature.
"How're you feeling?" Namur asked.
"Better, thank you for helping us." Sabo answered.
"No problem."
"No really thank you, anyone else would have helped us, but in a different way." Ace added with a grimace.
"Because of this incident, we know now more than ever that we can trust you." Luffy finished with a grin splitting her face.
"You mean..." Marco started.
"Yep, were ready to show you our pasts." She interrupted.
"So you better start deciding who were telling but, let me help you out you three are the only ones we'll feel comfortable with sharing. If you want Whitebeard too as well as Haruta, Izo, and Vista, but no one else." Ace said.
"I guess what he means when he says, 'Better decide who you're telling is' better decide out of said people who will be able to handle it." Sabo clarified.
"Right then we'll go discuss it, you three get some rest, we'll start tomorrow morning yoi." Marco said before turning to leave the room, with Thatch and Namur in tow.
10 minutes later the commanders have all gathered in whitebeards room.
"So they're finally ready to talk?" Haruta asked.
"That was fast it's only been a little over a week." Vista stated.
"Well I'm pretty sure we made a good impression." Thatch said.
"What do you mean?" Izo asked.
"Well I'd say they main reasons, would be how Pop's threw one of their tormentors off the ship, and the fact that we helped them get a drug out of their system without touching them. We've also been training them, and we bought them clothes. I'm guessing no one's really treated them like we do so it makes sense." Namur answered.
"Now, out of the seven mentioned who wants to see their memories yoi?" Marco asked.
"Well I think the three of us should definitely see them." Thatch said.
"I agree, they seem to trust you three the most." Whitebeard stated.
"Understood yoi, and you?" Marco asked.
"I think it's best, if only you three go." Whitebeard said.
"I agree." Vista said with Haruta and Izo nodding their heads in agreement.
'Well if you ask me you're just to chicken to want to know, lucky bastards.' Came the thoughts of the Marco, Thatch and Namur they were really worried about what they were going to see tomorrow. After all it's one thing to see an older person tortured, their pirates their used to it, but it's another to see three innocent children tortured.
The morning came quickly and the trio woke up early, and waited for the commanders to pick them up for breakfast.
"So today's the day." Ace reminded as his eyes grew distant. He seemed to be lost in thought.
"Yeah." Sabo agreed in the same state.
"It'll be the first time we told anyone." Luffy added, and the three commanders they were waiting for walked in.
"You ready for breakfast?" Thatch asked.
"We're always ready." They grinned. Break fast with the commanders was silent until Luffy broke it asking how many, and who she would have to show. Marco responded and she nodded her head in approval.
"Alright than when ever you're ready." She smiled softly and they headed back to the trio's room.
"Alright Ace-nii Sabo-nii I'll need to take your memories." She said as she turned to them and put her hands on their forehead.
"Take their memories yoi?"
"Well I say take but it's really just make a copy so I can show them to you." She explained. "Alright now I'll just merge all three of our memories together so that the time frames match up. It'll also be easier to follow the story and know what each of you were doing at the time." She said sitting down Ace and Sabo next to her and the commanders in front of her forming a small circle.
"One more thing, you may not like us anymore after we show you, or you might feel disgusted with us but we did have fun while we were here." She said with a smile.
"That won't happen we can guarantee it, we will always protect you yoi."
"I hope so." Sabo and Ace whispered. 'Namur I'm sorry but after this you might hate me the most.' Sabo thought. 'They'll probably all hate me and turn me into the marines when this is all over.' Ace thought. A small hand grabbed theirs and the looked up at the owner to see Luffy giving them a small smile.
"It'll be okay." She whispered to them and then looked up at the commanders. "Alright we need to hold hands so we can get connected." She ordered and that's what they did and after a few seconds they all were all surrounded by darkness.
An: Sorry this chapter sucked but on the bright side, they're finally going to reveal their pasts. IMPORTANT Anyway I changed the rating to M because well from here on out there will be a lot of violence and sexual content for those of you who don't like reading stuff like that Ill put up warnings and summarize the section and the end if you want.
