Chapter 13: Missing!

"Hey Luffy?" Sabo called out. Currently the trio, were relaxing on deck next to Whitebeard. Ace looked up curious at what his brother wanted to say all morning he's been staring off into space after all, of course he'd be worried.

"Yeah?" She responded.

"Um about Bonney have you...have you seen her?" 'So that's the problem' Ace thought with some relief. He was worried facing the past was having a negative impact in him.

"Yeah...I have actually. Don't worry she's safe now. She's even been training everyday and she's gotten a lot stronger." Luffy informed and was pleased with the relieved look on Sabo's face.

"But she gets depressed a lot." Luffy added getting a confused look from Sabo.

"What do you mean? She isn't happy?"

"Yeah, she misses you… a lot and wants to see you again. I see her staring off into this sky thinking of you all the time." Luffy said.

"She does?!" Sabo responded turning a nice shade of red, which caused Ace to chuckle and Luffy to roll her eyes.

"I swear you and Ace are both idiots." She said causing Ace to stop laughing and give an indignant "Hey!" making Sabo laugh.

"Don't worry Ace you'll understand soon." Sabo said patting his brother on the back.

"Understand what?"
"Please Sabo don't get my hopes up." Luffy said with a sigh. "Anyways you're not one to talk you know."

"What do you mean?" Sabo asked tilting his head to the side and just like Luffy he looks cute doing this action.

"Yep you're both idiots."

"Hey!" They yelled.

"I wish Bonney were here." Luffy sighed looking up at the setting sun.

"Me too." Sabo said following her gaze.

"Anyway I wonder if we can go get her one of these days, but I have no idea what the island she's on is called." Luffy stated looking annoyed. That's the one thing she will never like on the Grand Line directions don't work and you need a log pose.

"Hey, you three we'll be docking in the morning yoi." Marco informed strolling up to them. "Hey pops." Marco greeted.

"Hello my son."

"So what were you three talking about yoi?"

"Their long lost friend Bonney." Whitebeard answered. "You know if you give me her full name I'll have my allies keep an eye out for her."

"Really." Sabo said with a hopeful smile.

"Really."

"Okay her name is Jewlery Bonney." Sabo informed.

"Yeah and she has long light pink hair, and blue eyes." Luffy added. "And if it helps the island she's on has no men. Which is weird but no offence I think it might be nice to hang out their for awhile. But then again women are dangerous and scary too." She said with a shiver.

"What do you mean yoi?" Marco asked confused.

"You'll see it's in my memories.

"Okay anyways come on lets get to bed it's getting late and we have a big day tomorrow yoi."

"Okay." They responded not so enthusiastically. It's not like they don't want to go to the island they do because it's fun but well they can't explain it. The memory viewing was instantly postponed when they found out they would be docking at an island soon and the commanders were insistent on helping them, get over their fear of people. They're not scared of people! They just uh they just don't trust them yeah that's it trust them. Besides they've each come to realize that facing their past is actually quite helpful after all last night when the went to sleep they didn't have any nightmares. It also helps them separate their current selves from the past and move on.

That night the trio fell into a peaceful sleep that is all three of them except Sabo. His was a bit restless he just couldn't stop worrying about Bonney and couldn't stop remembering the last time he saw her and all the unfortunate events that followed after that. He wanted, no needed to see her and apologize properly for everything that happened.

"Aright you three, you ready?" Thatch asked.

"Yeah." They replied.

"What kind of island is this one?"

"Well truthfully its a little more populated than the last one we docked at, but it's an island under pops protection so they won't do anything to you unless they want to face him." Namur answered.

"Great." Ace said and both he and Sabo looked at Luffy who nodded and closed her eyes.

"Well I don't see anyone truly evil." She said and with that they went to the island and started walking through the town. As expected the kids caught the attention of a lot of people.

'And so it begins' they sighed.

'Alright these people can not hurt us anymore!'

'We will not be afraid of them, we aren't weaklings who can't defend our selves!'

'And none of these people have any fighting ability what's-so-ever anyway, they aren't new world pirates!' Thought the kids who started feeling safer and safer by the minute and put a smile on their face as they looked around the island in awe ignoring the people but keeping their guard up, and like always everything is fine until Luffy does something stupid. As they were walking a sweet smell caught the attention of the group.

"What is that?" Thatch asked.

"Smells good, it's that way!" The red-eyed girl explained running off.

"Luffy!" Ace and Sabo yelled running after her followed by the commanders.

They followed her until they lost her when she rounded a corner.

"Damn her speed." Ace cursed.

"And her stomach." Sabo added. The two brothers looked incredibly worried.

"Relax we'll find her she probably went into one of the stores." Thatch put in trying to alleviate the tension.

"He's right come on lets split up Ace goes with Thatch Sabo with Namur yoi."

When they split up Sabo ran up to a young women while Namur stood a ways away looking completely stunned with a 'did that just happen' look on his face. He watched and listened as Sabo talked with the women.

Sabo run up to the women not caring if Namur was behind him or not and grabbed her had.

"Um excuse me miss." Sabo greeted.

"Oh you're so cute." She squealed. "Can I help you?" She asked bending down to get eye level with Sabo, who fake a blush and looked away nervously while she squealed again.

"Um yes I was wondering if you'd seen my sister around here. She has long white hair and red eyes." The women hummed in thought for a moment before responding. "Why yes I do believe I saw her, here come with me and I'll take you to her." She said holding out her hand for Sabo to grab, but he only looked at her suspiciously before saying, "That's okay mam, I'll go look by myself." He said while backing away. 'If this women saw Luffy she'd be acting like she acts with me squealing and calling her cute.'

Namur notice the change in the conversation and then made his way over. "Alright Sabo let's continue looking."

"Namur." He greeted with a smile.

"Huh? One of Whitebeards pirates, wait he's with you?!" She asked paling a little. 'Huh I knew it she had other plans for me.'

After breaking up Thatch and Ace entered the nearest restaurant, thinking the chances are pretty high that Luffy's in there. Ace then walked up to one the tables that seated two women.

"Um excuse me." Ace called out to them.

"Ah well hello there?" A blonde said.

"Hi, I was wondering if you'd seen a girl come in here? She has white long hair and red eyes."

"No I haven't seen her but why don't you forget about her and come play with us?" The bluenette girl replied.

"I'm sorry but I don't feel like playing maybe some other time." He answered feigning innocence he's long since lost.

"Oh come on it'll be fun, we promise you won't regret it." The blonde said grabbing his arm. At this point, Thatch snapped out of his shock and walked over to the table.

"Alright come on Ace she's not in here."

"Thatch!" Ace smiled.

"A Whitebeard Pirate he's with you." The women said shocked instantly letting go of Ace.

"Yep."

'Hmm opps Ace is going to kill me. Well whatever.' She thought with a shrug as she walked in the store with the sweet smell. All eyes were instantly on her. She admitted she felt a little nervous and scared even if she knew she could kick there ass, but she didn't let it show, instead she decided to use what she learned from her time as a slave. She put on a cute smile, causing everyone there to blush, and walked up to the counter.

"Hey their pretty lady." She greeted in on sweet and innocent tone.

"Why hello there little girl, what's your name I don't believe I've ever seen you an the island before." The women responded.

"I'm Luffia, I'm visiting with the Whitebeard pirates." She explained which immediately scared off some of the lecherous gazes.

"Well welcome Luffia, what can I do you for?"

"Um what's that delicious smell?" She asked tilting her head to the side and putting a small dainty finger to her lips.

"Oh that, is our famous cupcakes would you like to try one?" Luffy responded by smiling brightly and nodding her head yes before the smile slipped off her face. "Oh but I don't have any money." She said pouting and looking at the floor.

"Oh don't worry about that it's on the house." She said before going into the back.

"Really thank you." Luffy exclaimed. 'Doesn't seem like she has any ulterior motives. Luffy quietly took in her surrounding and saw only a few blushing men eyeing her. 'Guess most of them left after mention I'm with Whitebeard.' She thought.

"Did you find her yet?" Thatch asked once the three search parties ran into each other.

"No." Namur said.

"Man that kid was so cute."

"Yeah to bad she's only like seven or something."

"Seven or not I don't think I really care."

"Hey watch it man if you do anything to her you'll have to face Whitebeard."

"Why do you think I left the shop?"

"Yeah any longer and I would have lost control right there."

"I think I found her yoi." Marco deadpanned.

"That trouble maker she better be okay." Ace said rushing into the store followed by Sabo and the Commanders.

"Ummm." Luffy sounded in pleasure as she ate the cupcake. "It's sooo good."

"Luffy!" Ace and Sabo yelled.

"Oh hey guys I thought I lost you."

"What do you think you're doing running off like that?" Sabo chided.

"But Sabo this cupcake is so good, you've got to try it." She said turning to face the lady who was blushing at the sight of Ace and Sabo.

"Hey lady do you think my brothers can have some too." Luffy asked with a pleading look.

"Yes of course cutie, and don't worry theirs we'll be on me as well." She said going into the back.

"Luffy, what was that yoi." The commanders were shocked how she was acting.

"That is called manipulation, something I picked up as a… well yeah anyways it's use full to get what you want." She explained.

"Yep she's a genius at it." Ace said.

"She even taught us a few things." Sabo added and the lady came out.

"Here you go enjoy." She said handing the cupcakes to Ace and Sabo who looked at it suspiciously before taking them. They looked at Luffy to see if it was safe and ate it when she nodded.

"Ummm. Delicious."

"Isn't. Thanks lady. No problem, come back soon alright." She called out as they left.

"Luffy please try not to run off again." Thatch said.

"Okay." She responded distractedly as she looked around.

"Don't take her seriously she'll never learn trust us." Ace said.

"She's too much like Bonney." Sabo sighed.

"That's because she taught me everything I know." Luffy said. "It was the only way to survive."

"Yeah I know." Sabo mumbled eyes growing distant.

"Hey can we go into the forest?" Luffy asked.

"Why?"

"Because now that we're on land we can train with our devil fruits." Ace answered.

"Yeah, without having to worry about destroying the ship." Sabo added.

"Okay sure." Namur said as they started head toward the forest area.

Out in the middle of the forest the three kids have transformed into their mythical zoan forms and started practicing trying to manipulate things, the wind Sabo and the fire for Ace and Luffy. While doing this Ace actually figured out he can manipulate the greenery as well.

"Wow that's so cool!" Luffy explained.

"Yeah" Ace said obviously still in shock and awe at what he just did he was staring at his hands. He had just made a little tree sprout grow into a full grown tree.

After awhile of training Luffy started thinking about her discussion with Sabo yesterday. She started to feel frustrated in her abilities, after all she was able to see Bonney but she couldn't go get her. While covered in her golden fox fire she pictured Bonney and found her easily. She looked to be training as well, and she was pretty strong too. She even had a pet snake which is so COOL. After just thinking about being next to her, her body started to seemingly vanish. Leaving Marco wide eyed.

"LUFFY!" He yelled stopping the training session completely.

"What happened?!" Ace called back worried.

" I don't know she just disappeared into thin air." He explained sounding calm even though you can see the panic in his eyes.

"Alright come on we have to get back to Pops." Namur said.

"What?! But we have to find Luffy!" Sabo said.

"I know but we have know idea why she disappeared we need to find answers." Thatch stated and with reluctance they eventually made it back to the ship.
