At the underground, a teenage girl swung from the edge of a cliff next to a pond, holding the edge with her hands as she swung back and forth. Eventually, she was found by a familiar skeleton with a blue jacket, and he gave her a look and, seeing how much fun she was having, tried to go easy on her.

"hey kid, what are you doing up there?" the skeleton called.

This caught the girl's attention, who simply replied. "Oh, I'm just hanging around."

The living skeleton seemed genuinely amused by the pun, if his laugh was any indication. "hehe, well, i'm on lookout right now and my brother is a human-hunting fanatic, so i would appreciate it if you could get down."

The girl did as requested and jumped down, falling next to the skeleton. "I'm sorry, I'm trying to find something to do here while my siblings "take a break" from my jokes. Apparently, they find my jokes un-bear-able."

And thus begun a pun-tastic exchange:

"geez, perhaps you were just too cheesy for their taste?"

"No, they said they were too corny instead."

"perhaps I could give you a hand with them."

"That's a gouda idea!"

The skeleton and girl laughed for a while before calming down and exchanging friendly looks. "name's sans." the skeleton said.

"Luan." the girl replied.

Luan and sans shook hands and walked together to Snowdin. "let's be pals." sans suggested.

"You got it, skelepal!" Luan answered, giving the skeleton a fist bump.

The duo held hands and walked away.

Later, at sans and Papyrus's house, Papyrus appeared and saw sans and Luan brainstorming prank ideas. "Sans! Who is this human-like creature you've brought home?" Papyrus inquired, genuinely interested.

"Oh, uh, she's an ant changeling." sans touched Luan's antenna-like hair strands and gave her a wink. "See the antenna on her hair?"

"Uh, yeah, I'm a ch-ant-geling!" Luan said.

The duo giggled, and a couple seconds of silence later, Papyrus said, "Okay then!"

The taller skeleton left the room and sans chuckled as Luan watched in surprise. "I can't believe he bought it," the girl said.

"Trust me, that's the least weirdest thing that has tricked my brother." sans remarks.
