Chapter Nine: Solely Yours
"Son, your future is your own choosing but I want you to be happy and live a life without regret." Lord Morinozuka said.
"So I can choose any path and you would be okay with it." I replied.
"Yes…"
"Then father, I want to further my education in philosophy and marry the woman I love." I said. "I want her to be accepted in this family with open arms and have your blessing. That is all I ask from you father."
"So who is this woman you speak of?" He asked.
"Well, her name is…
"Kita…" He mumbled. Mori opened his eyes slowly and found himself in a room. He turned and found Honey, sleeping beside him with Usa-chan. How did I get here? He stood up from his bed. "Mitsukuni…" He patted his head. Honey woke up and rubbed his eyes.
"Takashi…" Honey said. He then started to burst into tears. "Oh Takashi, you are okay. I was so worried about you." He hugged him so tightly. "I thought I would lose you." Then everyone entered the room. "Hey everyone, Takashi is okay."
"Mori-sempai, I am glad you are doing well." Kyoya said.
"You had everyone worry." The twins added.
"How did I get here?" Mori asked.
"You don't remember Mori-sempai." Tamaki said. "Few minutes after you jumped in the water, Kitaru followed right after. She swam through the storm to save you and brought you here."
"She did that." Mori said shockingly. Kita really came to save me. She actually jumped in the water to save me. "I can't believe it."
"Even with her fear of the ocean, she manages to jump in and save you." Hikaru said.
"She even carried you here." Kaoru added.
"It is because of Big Sister that you came back to us alive." Honey said. "And thank you for saving Usa-chan." Mori smiled. "I guess we owe her a lot."
"So where is she?" Mori asked.
"She is resting as well. She collapsed from exhaustion after reaching the resort." Kyoya explained. "She hasn't wake up since then. Haruhi is tending to her right now." Mori started to move off his bed. "If you want to see her, she is in the room right next to this one." Mori started to walk sluggishly to the door. I guess Kitaru and I wasn't meant to be. Mori, you are a lucky bastard.
"Let me help." Tamaki said, grabbing him. Even when he is not fully recovered, he stills want to see her. He truly does love her.
"Me too…" Honey said, grabbing him as well. They helped him walk to the other room and found Kitaru resting on the bed and Haruhi sitting beside her.
"Mori-sempai, you are okay. Thank goodness…" Haruhi said, smiling. They helped him walked towards the bed. He sat beside Kitaru. "She is doing okay. She just exhausted that's all." She slept peacefully and beautifully. She was wearing a white dress and her bangs were tossed aside and you were able to see her whole face. "Just to give you heads up, she has been repeating your name in her sleep. She must be worried about you."
"The storm would clear out soon so we are able to leave tomorrow morning for school." Kyoya said. "I am glad that everyone is okay. This has become a very interesting vacation."
"We should not go to the beach." Tamaki said. "Twice we have something bad here."
"You were the one that wanted to come here." Hikaru said.
"Kitaru didn't want to hurt your feelings so she agreed with your idea." Kaoru said.
"So it is your fault." They both said.
"SHUT IT!"
"Be quiet…" Haruhi snapped. "Kitaru is sleeping."
"Sorry…" All three of them said.
"Thank you Kita…" Mori said, moving closer to her. "My life is yours to keep." He kissed her on the lips and everyone was shocked. I love you Kitaru Fujioka. He pulled back and her eyes slowly opened. "Kita..."
"Mori, you are okay." Kitaru said, smiling.
"BIG SISTER, YOU ARE OKAY!" Honey cried, hugging her tightly. "I am so sorry about earlier. We didn't mean to hurt you. We just wanted to play with you in the water."
"We are truly sorry." The twins said.
"It is not your fault. I overreacted. I was so scared because the lost of my parents." Kitaru said, hugging Honey. "Next time we come to the beach, I promise to swim with you guys. We are going to have some fun."
"Really Big Sister…" Honey said.
"After everything that happened, I think my fear finally disappeared." Kitaru said, smiling. "I swallowed enough seawater so I think I can handle it." I can finally drift in the water without sinking. I can sway through the water without worry and without fear. "So is there something to eat?"
"I can go in the kitchen and make you something." Haruhi said, standing up from her seat. "Come on everyone, let's leave them alone. I need some help cooking anyways."
"I want some fried chicken." Hikaru said.
"I want some sweet and sour chicken." Kaoru added.
"I guess I have a lot of work to do." Haruhi said, walking out the room. I am glad that they are both safe. "Come on everyone, I need some help cooking."
"I can help." Kitaru said.
"No, you need some rest Big Sister." Honey said.
"Honey-sempai is right. You still need to recover." Kyoya said. "You swam through a storm after all."
"Just leave all the cooking to me Kitaru." Haruhi said. "If I need any help, I have these guys so there is nothing to worry about."
"I guess you are right." Kitaru said.
"We would bring you something to eat after." Honey said. "So stay with Takashi."
"Okay little brother." Kitaru said, smiling. They all walked out the room and left Mori and Kitaru alone. "How are you feeling Mori?"
"I feel fine thanks to you." Mori replied.
"I am glad." Kitaru said. "I am glad that we are both okay."
"You saved me? Why?" Mori asked.
"What do you mean why?" Kitaru asked. "I did it because I have to." She then grabbed his hand. I have to tell him. It is now or never. "When I saw you sunk deeper into the ocean I was afraid of losing you. I already lost my parents and I didn't want to lose you as well. I jumped in scared not because of the ocean but scared of not seeing you again. Mori… I…I…" He then pulled her into his embrace. "Mori..."
"I love you more." Mori replied. "I felt the fear you were going through and I didn't want to leave without telling you how I feel. It just reminds me of the time when I couldn't find you after your car accident. I was lost and hurt and silence was my curse. I didn't want to open my heart to anyone because I didn't want to feel any pain. Now that you are here again, I can't waste any more time because I am afraid I might not get another chance. I love you so much Kita and I want to be with you forever." She started to cry. He pulled back and wiped her tears. "I love you and my heart and life solely belongs to you." He stared into her eyes and cupped her cheek. She is finally mines to keep. I am so happy. They moved closer and when they were about to seal their love with a kiss, then door burst open with everyone collapsing to the floor.
"I see we weren't alone after all." Kitaru said, giggling.
"Sorry…" They all said. "We can close our eyes if you want."
"That won't be necessary." Kitaru said, placing her head on his shoulder. I love you Takashi Morinozuka
The next day, the Host Club returned home safely and prepared for the masked ball. Everything was in order and the Host Club dressed handsomely for their guests. "Welcome to our masked ball my darlings." Tamaki said, standing on the stairway with the other hosts. All the ladies were wearing elegant dresses with shimmering masked.
"As always, the members of the host club are here for your entertainment." Kyoya said. "When it reaches the end of our ball, we would select a lady who has danced her heart out. She would receive a kiss on the cheek from our King himself."
"Good luck my darlings." Tamaki said, giving them a wink. All the girls sigh with awe.
"I wish Big Sister was here." Honey said, frowning. "She is still recovering from yesterday. I feel that it is my fault."
"No Honey-sempai, it is not your fault." Haruhi said. "It was terrifying for her to be in the ocean but at the same time it helped her overcome her fears. Also, she saved Mori-sempai."
"But I do miss her." Honey said.
"Mitsukuni, be happy." Mori replied. "Kitaru is okay."
"You are right Takashi. Big Sister would want me to be happy." Honey said, smiling.
"Then let's all be happy for Kitaru." The twins said. "We can call Kitaru after the ball." They all walked down the stairs and started to dance with the ladies. It has been an hour now and the party was close to its end.
I miss Kita already. Maybe after the ball, I would visit her. Mori thought, leaning against the pillar. He watched the others danced. I wish she was here. Then the doors opened and a lady with a beautiful and stylish violet gown entered the room. She was wearing a glittery mask and her long white hair was decorated with jewels. Who is that?
"Hey, who is that girl?" Hikaru asked, dancing with a girl.
"I don't know." Kaoru said, dancing beside him. "I can't tell with her mask on." The mysterious lady walked to the dance floor and made her way to Mori.
She is coming straight towards me. Mori thought, staring at her approach.
"May I have this dance?" She replied, offering her hand to him. He reply with a nod and grabbed her hand. They started to waltz and the lights grew dim and slow music filled the room. Everyone stopped dancing and watched Mori danced with the mysterious woman. They were enchanted of how graceful each step was and how passionate each glance they exchange as they danced.
"No fair, Mori-sempai always get the good ones." Tamaki complained.
"She is very beautiful though." Haruhi said. "I wonder who she is. Kyoya-sempai, do you know that girl?" Kyoya turned to the girl and caught a glimpse of her eyes. He then let out a smile.
"No, I haven't got a clue." Kyoya said.
"She looks familiar though." Hikaru said.
"Yeah, it is like we have seen her before or even know her." Kaoru added.
"I hope you are enjoying yourself." The mysterious lady said, letting out a smile.
"I should ask you the same thing…" Mori said. "I hope I am not boring you, my princess."
"I am enjoying myself Mori." She replied. "You are a great dancer by the way. I am still learning but I had a great teacher." Then continued on dancing but Mori kept on staring at her. "What is wrong?"
"Nothing, it is just… Who are you?" Mori asked, staring into her eyes. Why this girl does remind me of Kitaru? "What is your name?"
"You know my name too well." She replied, giggling. "But all I can tell you that I am living with a cousin."
"Then give me the name of your cousin so I can get your name for him or her." Mori replied. I know her name? What did she mean by that? "So who is your cousin?"
"She is the only cousin I have."
"You don't want me to get your name." Mori said. "You are a very odd girl."
"Like I mentioned before, you know my name too well." She replied. "After all, I do solely own your heart and life." They stopped dancing and Mori froze with shock. His eyes widened and his hands were shaking.
"Kita…" Mori said. She is here…. She came. She took off her mask and let out a smile. I was dancing with her all this time. "You look beautiful."
"Thank you…" She replied, blushing. "You look good in a tux."
"I thought you were still recovering." Mori replied.
"I didn't want to miss the party. I practiced how to dance for this ball and I didn't want to make those lessons go to waste." Kitaru replied, covering her face again with the mask. "Also, I missed you and everyone."
"I am happy you are here." Mori replied, hugging her. "I miss you too." Then the music stopped and Tamaki was again on top of the stairway.
"It is now to declare one of you beautiful princesses the lucky winner of tonight's ball. The winner of this night would be this young lady." Tamaki said, pointing to the Kitaru. Everyone applause and cheered for her.
"And also to take Tamaki's place, Takashi Morinozuka would step in and give a kiss on the cheek to this young lady." Kyoya said. Good luck Kitaru, you owe me.
"Kyoya-sempai, I need your help with something." Kitaru said. "Can you help me?"
"What is it?"
"Well, I am going to attend the masked ball but not as a host but as a guest." Kitaru explained. "I was hoping that you keep it between us and help me pick out a dress for tonight. You have an eye for good taste so I want your opinion."
"Sure, I would gladly help."I replied. "Also, with your great success you are able to pay for your dress. I would go with you to a designer store. However, you have to work extra hard hosting our guests."
"Thank you Kyoya-sempai…"Kitaru said, smiling. "You are the best."
She is a rare beauty but it is not mines to have. Mori, take good care of her and love her forever.
"WHAT!" Tamaki screamed. "Kyoya, why did you do that? You know very well that Mori is with…"Mori then cupped Kitaru's face and instead of kissing her on the cheek, he sealed his lips with hers. Everyone cheered while the Hosts were shocked. "Kitaru won't be happy about this. She is going to cry and be in endless pain."
"He still didn't figure out that the mysterious girl is Kitaru right?" Hikaru whispered.
"It took us awhile but it became obvious after staring at her hair. There are not a lot of people with pure white hair." Kaoru replied.
"Well, our job is to make every girl happy." Haruhi said, smiling.
"WE DID IT!" Honey cheered.
