Chapter Twelve: Valentine's Day
The next day, Kitaru was walking to school by herself. She couldn't sleep due to what she learned last night. My heart was racing when mom told me that I am the future heir. I don't want to be a queen. I don't even know how to do that or even start. She was rushing to get ready that she had to resort to her pair of prescription glasses that her mother brought recently for her. She didn't have time to put on her contact lenses. Her hair grew a little bit longer and she combed it and used a hair band to keep her bangs away from her eyes. She checked the time and it was almost eight. "I have a few minutes left." She then remembered her mother's necklace around her neck. Mother, I don't know what to do. She walked through the campus and all the girls were staring at her. I guess going to school and hosting in the host club would calm me down. Kitaru opened the door to the music room. "Hey guys, sorry I am late." She then found the room filled with elegant red roses and candlelight.
"Kitaru, you are very late." Tamaki scolded. Then they paused as they stare at her intensively.
"YOU LOOK DIFFERENT!" They all screamed expect for Kyoya and Mori. They were both silently blushing towards her.
"You look cute Big Sister." Honey said, smiling. "Does she look adorable Takashi?" He didn't respond. He couldn't respond. He froze in sight of her.
"Where did you get the hair band?" Kyoya asked. "It suits you perfectly."
"Well, Honey-sempai gave me a hair band as an early Valentine's gift so I thought of wearing it today. Also, I didn't have time to put on my contact lenses." Kitaru explained. "I had a very long night last night."
"What did you do all night?" Hikaru asked.
"I am very curious." Kaoru added.
"Well, I was just studying that's all." Kitaru lied, scratching her head. "After all it is almost spring break and there are a lot of exams for me to do."
"You shouldn't push yourself. You have a huge brain." Honey said. "Like Haruhi…"
"I don't know if that is an insult or a compliment." Haruhi said.
"Next time I would take it easy." Kitaru said, smiling. "So I guess we have to be super romantic today. It looks so beautiful."
"Well, it is Valentine's Day so we have to make it romantic." Kyoya said. "That reminds me, today we have a raffle. The prizes are a date with a host club member."
"But I was looking forwards to take my princess on a date tonight." Tamaki snapped.
"We go on dates all the time." Haruhi said.
"I never went on a date with you yet Mori. I hope you don't mind me spending time with a lady on Valentine's Day." Kitaru said.
"I am fine as long you are fine with me being with another girl." Mori said, smiling. It is a shame that I don't get to spend time with her on Valentine's Day but I will make it up on White Day.
Oh I almost forgot…" Kitaru said, pulling a small heart shaped boxes. "Happy Valentine's Day Mori…" He opened it and it was filled with chocolates. He took a bite out of one and let out a smile. "Well…"
"This is so good Kita. Thank you." He said, kissing her forehead. "I love you and happy Valentine's Day." She blushed and all he did was smile.
"Aww… They are so cute… Haruhi, where is my chocolate?" Tamaki asked.
"I for…" Haruhi said, scratching her head. I can't believe I forgot my gift for him at home. I brought everyone else their gift besides him. I am so stupid. Then she felt something behind her. She turned and found Kitaru secretly give her a box of chocolate. She gave her a wink. "Thanks Kita…" Haruhi brought a cute box wrapped boxes with a white bow. "Here you go…Happy Valentine's Day."
"Oh Haruhi, it is so cute…" Tamaki said with awe. He grabbed it and opened it. He couldn't wait to try it and when he did, he blushed and sign with awe. "THIS IS SO DELICIOUS! I LOVE YOU HARUHI!"
"Please keep it down." Haruhi said, letting out a sigh. She then turned to Kitaru and smiled. Thanks Kitaru, you saved my life. Then a teenage boy with long silver hair entered the room. "Hello sir, we are not open yet."
"I am not here for your host club. I am here for Kitaru Fujioka." He replied. "Do you know where I can find him?"
"I am here." Kitaru said, walking towards him. "Is there something you want from me?"
"Yes, I want to have an audience with you." He replied. "Alone…"
"If you want that, you have to be one of my guests. I am going to be extremely busy due to the fact that it is Valentine's Day." Kitaru said, smiling. "It would give me the opportunity to know more about you my prince if you request for me."
"How did you know I am a prince?" He said, looking shocked. "Grandfather was right picking you. You know your stuff. I mean you are very wise."
"Grandpa?" She said. Mother did say that I might meet my cousin. I guess this is him. "You must be Samuel, my cousin from Kenova."
"Yup, that is me. And I heard all about you even the part that you pretend to be a boy." He said. Then Allenson appeared beside him.
"Milord that is supposed to be a secret…" Allenson whispered.
"Oh right, I will keep it well." Samuel said. "Thank you Allenson for reminding me."
"It is what I do sire." Allenson said. He then walked towards Kitaru. "Well Good Morning princess, I hope everything is okay with you."
"Oh Uncle Allenson, if I known you would be here I would make you breakfast." Kitaru said.
"Uncle Allenson…" The hosts said, giving her a baffled look.
"Oh Allenson here is my mother's brother." Kitaru explained. "He is the leader of the Hisatake Clan in Kenova."
"Wow, another ninja. That is so cool." Honey said.
"I am only your servant milady." Allenson said.
"You are much more. I am happy to meet you again and to also finally meet Samuel." Kitaru said, smiling. She then grabbed Samuel's hand. "I want you to meet my friends. This is Tamaki our leader."
"Hello your highness…" Tamaki said.
"The Vice President, Kyoya…"
"It is a pleasure of meeting you sire." Kyoya said.
"The twins Hikaru and Kaoru…"
"I hope we can play games together." Hikaru said.
"It will be interesting." Kaoru added.
"My little brother Honey and my cousin Haruhi."
"It is great to meet you Samu-chan." Honey said, smiling.
"I see you are also a cousin of Kitaru, I hope we can be great friends." Haruhi added.
"And this is my boyfriend Mori…"
"Boyfriend?" Samuel said, staring at Mori. Mori bowed in front of him without a word.
"Yes, he is very silent but when you get to know him he is not all bad." Kitaru said. "He is such a sweetheart." Mori blushed with the comment.
"Takashi Morinozuka is a very well known kendo master." Allenson whispered. "He is very skilled."
"So he is your bodyguard… You don't need to pretend." Samuel said. "A Kenova royal should have a bodyguard. So you don't need to be ashamed."
"But you got it all wrong. He is my lover. I have no bodyguards." Kitaru said. "I only have a hardworking mother, family, friends, and a lover."
"You can't be serious." Samuel said. Who have been protecting her all these years? There is not a scratch on her. She is not supposed to walk around freely without protection and yet, she doesn't have a care for the world. "A member of the royal family should be protected at all times."
"I just found out I was royalty yesterday and before that I was happy and safe." Kitaru explained. Then the ladies started coming in. "Well, it is time for hosting so if you like I would gladly host you my prince."
"Of course, I will give in this." Samuel said, crossing his arms. "I need to talk to you about something very important so I would take every opportunity."
"Uncle Allenson, I hope you would join us." Kitaru said, smiling. "I would love to know more about you."
"As you wish…" Allenson said, bowing.
"Well, right this way, gentlemen… I hope you love Red Tea and strawberry short cakes. I made them myself." Kitaru said, guiding them to a table.
"She found out…" Honey said. "I guess that is the reason why she was late today."
"Well, if I can guess I think they are here to persuade Kitaru of leaving." Kyoya said. "After all, she is the future heir. But I am sure she won't accept their offer."
"I hope so…" Haruhi said. I can't imagine Kitaru leaving us. I don't want her to go. Then she turned to Mori. He had a worry look on his face. "Mori, are you okay?"
"You told me that it would be hard for Kitaru when I graduate but it would be really hard if Kitaru leaves now." Mori replied. Haruhi grabbed his hand and let out a smile.
"You shouldn't worry. I shouldn't have talked about that before. I am sorry. It wasn't my place." Haruhi said. "However, I know that Kitaru would not leave us."
"Well, let's see what happens." Mori said. I hope you are right Haruhi. I don't what to do if Kitaru decides to leave. I am not ready to let her go.
They settled on a table next to the window and Kitaru poured them tea. "How many spoons of sugar my prince?" She asked. "I hope you have a sweet tooth like me."
"I don't like sweets." He pouted. Kitaru giggled and it made him blushed. She is cute alright. She looks like Aunty Akira. She does look like a boy in a way. But you eyes can easily give it away. "Three spoons of sugar but I don't understand. You are a princess…I mean prince and you are serving commoners. These rich kids are beneath us, why do you serve them?"
"I serve them because I love seeing people happy." Kitaru said, smiling. "When you give happiness to someone, you gain happiness so that is why I love to serve them." She then turned to Allenson. "Uncle Allenson, how many spoons of sugar do you want?"
"Two milady…" Allenson said. She still calls me Uncle. Kitaru served them and offered them treats. "Thank you milady but it is my job to serve you both."
"There is no need, I am a host and you two are my guests. It is the least I can do since you both traveled here. It must be a long journey." Kitaru said. "So Samuel, what is this important thing you wish to speak to me so badly?"
"I want you to abandon this life and be the new ruler of Kenova." Samuel said. "It is your birthright and your duty to be the new queen."
"Queen?" Kitaru said, sipping her tea. So they came here to take me away.
"Yes, you are the future heir so you must accept. It is an honor being queen." Samuel added. "I would be there for you to assist you with everything and Allenson here would protect you with his life."
"I swear that you would never be harmed." Allenson said.
"Grandfather wishes to see you as well. You must come with us." Samuel said. "We would leave first thing tomorrow." Kitaru was silent yet her smile was still intact. "So Kitaru… I mean Queen Kitalena, would you accept?"
"It is a great honor but I humbly decline." Kitaru finally said. "I don't want to be queen."
"Why not?" Samuel snapped. I can't believe she throws away an offer like this just like that. How can she be so careless with her decision?
"Well, it is going to be an empty kingdom if I accept." Kitaru answered. "A kingdom should have happiness and also a happy ruler. I would not be very happy because I gave up something more important to me for it. So I decline because this place here is my kingdom and I am very fond of it." Then Samuel slammed his fists on the table. Everyone turned their gazes at them.
"YOU ARE SO UNGRATEFUL! HOW DARE YOU TURN DOWN THIS OFFER?!" Samuel screamed. "YOU DON'T KNOW HOW LONG I STAYED IN YOUR SHADOW AND NOW YOU ARE…"
"My shadow?" Kitaru said. What did he mean by living in my shadow?
"Milord, you are making a scene." Allenson said.
"I DON'T CARE!" Samuel screamed. "KITARU FUJIOKA, GIVE ME A GOOD REASON WHY YOU REFUSE TO BE KING!" He then grabbed him by the collar. "TELL ME NOW!" Everyone was shocked. They whispered with the new juicy gossip. "WHY WOULD YOU GIVE ALL THAT UP FOR THIS LIFE?!"
"It won't be home." Kitaru said, smiling.
It won't be home… Samuel thought.
"Let Kita-chan go…" Honey snapped. He was about to attack until Mori stopped him. "Takashi…"
"Not now…" Mori said.
"Like I said before, when I reign it will be empty because I am not happy. You must be happy to have a happy kingdom." Kitaru explained. "So I declined. I think you are more suited for the job." Samuel was shocked with her answered.
That is the first time someone considered me as a great leader. Samuel thought, gritting his teeth. Why can grandfather see it? He let go of her. "We are leaving Allenson…"
"Yes milord…" Allenson said.
"Kitaru, I am sorry for the trouble." Samuel said.
"It is okay cousin." Kitaru said. "If you are leaving tomorrow, come say goodbye before you do."
"I am a busy man." Samuel said, crossing his arms. She is too nice.
"Well, if you have time come down. Uncle Allenson knows where I live." Kitaru replied. "Have a good day my prince. I pray you are safe and well."
"Save your prayers for someone who cares…" Samuel said, walking away from her.
"I am sorry about my master." Allenson apologized, bowing. "He didn't mean to be rude."
"There is nothing to apologize." Kitaru said.
"Allenson, we are leaving…"
"Coming master…" Allenson said. "It is good to see you again milady."
"Likewise Uncle Allenson…" Kitaru said, watching them leave. Honey then hugged her.
"Are you okay?" Honey asked.
"I am fine. My cousin just has been through a lot." Kitaru said. "That is why he has a temper." She then turned to the other guests. They eyes widened as they stared at her. "I am sorry for the ruckus everyone, please forgive me." She bowed in front of them. I guess it is not a secret anymore. She stood up straight and smile at them. All the ladies blushed. "Happy Valentine's Day my princesses… May God bless every one of you…" All the girls squealed loudly with awe.
"She refused to be Queen." Tamaki said. "She was going to have a lavish life on a silver platter yet she refused."
"Of course she did, money doesn't make anyone happy." Haruhi said. "Especially Kitaru, can you see how happy she is right now?" They watched Kitaru smiling and entertaining her guests. "It is because of you Tamaki-sempai that she gained this happiness." He turned to him and smile. "Thank you Tamaki."
"Haruhi…" Tamaki said, blushing. It is because of me… "It is not really me. It is Mori."
"Yeah but this Host Club brought them together and more importantly brought us together." Haruhi said. "I love you and happy valentines." Tamaki hugged her tightly.
"Haruhi…" Tamaki cried, hugging her back. "I love you too."
Ashley walked through the cemetery and appeared in front of Kitaru's late parents grave. She kneeled in front of them. "Forgive me for not visiting you two earlier." She said. "I broke my promise to you Lady Akira. I told Kitaru everything about Kenova." Then she stared at a framed photo of them, smiling. "Lady Akira… Lord Hiro… It is because of your daughter I have a purpose. I love her dearly. Please watch over her when I am not there to protect her." Suddenly, a kunai raced towards her. She caught it and found a man with a mask standing behind her from a distance. She stood up and turned to him.
"You are quick." The masked man said.
"That is not a good welcoming." She said. This guy is not like the others. I sense a strong power within him. I have to be careful.
"You don't deserve such pleasure." He said, racing towards her with a katana. He swung it swiftly while she tried her best to avoid his blade. He then threw his sword towards her. She down it and notices that he was behind her. He caught his blade and was about to strike her.
This move… This is… She caught it and punched him on the face. The mask broke and she was shocked to see who was under that mask. "Mathew…"She said, shaking. He died… I saw it… How is he still alive? He didn't respond to her. He stared at her. "Mathew, it's me Ashley… Remember me…" She then let out a smile. "My love, you are alive. I can't believe it."
"I don't know you…" Mathew said. "I am not your lover."
"Mathew…" She said. He doesn't know me… She was holding back tears. What have they done to him?
"I am here to kill you and nothing more." Then his head started pounding with pain. What is this pain?
"Lady Ashley, what do you want for dessert?"
"Ice cream…" She said, smiling. "Chocolate please…"
"Milady, you are going to be very hyper." I said, cupping her face. She blushed yet she still has a smile on her face.
"Mathew, you are very good to me." She said. "I am happy you are here with me."
What is this? A memory? I know this girl… How? How do I know her? Why don't I remember her?
"I am Lady Ashley's bodyguard. Give her back to me if you want to live." I snapped. I was beyond mad. I have never felt so much anger in my life. The bandit pulled her closer to him and licked her neck. "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER LIKE THAT!"
"Stay away if you want her to live." The bandit replied. I then dashed behind him and kicked him hard on his side. She was separated from the bandit but I continued on beating him. He begged for mercy but I didn't stop. I loved it. I loved to see him with pain and fear.
"PLEASE STOP!" She screamed. I paused and the bandit was unconscious. "Please don't… Please don't…" I found her crying and was shaking. I was shocked to see her cry and pulled her into my embrace.
"I am so sorry milady." I said, hugging her tightly. "I didn't know what came over me. It is just I was afraid to lose you. I may be your bodyguard but you are more to me than a job. I… I.. I love you Ashley. Love is something I can only give to you and only you."
"I love you too…" She replied.
What is this? I love her… What is going on here?
He collapsed onto the ground, gripping his head as he felt severe pain. Ashley walked towards him and grabbed him. "Mathew, what's wrong?" She asked. He turned to her and pushed her away.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU WITCH!" He screamed. Calm down… It is probably one of her techniques. She is a killing machine after all. He forced his body up and glared at her. "I don't know what you did to me but next time we cross paths, I will kill you." He disappeared and left her alone. His heart started thumping as dashed away.
"Mathew, you are never going to leave me." She asked.
"Never… I would always protect and love you." I said, kissing her.
Why am I doing these things? He then started blushing. Why does she make me feel this way? He then gripped his shirt. "What is she?"
Ashley finally let out tears. "So he didn't die after all." Ashley said, gritting her teeth. "He has been alive this whole time."
"So you met him already?" Allenson said. She appeared behind him and pinned him to a tree.
"Tell me everything." She demanded. Her eyes turned red and demonic as she pinned her brother.
"I am lost just like you. Not too long ago he tried to attack Samuel. I found out it was him but it seems he doesn't remember me at all." She punched the tree and it tumbled into the ground. She eyes was filled with rage. The last time I saw Ashley like this is when I stole her cookie. This is bad. She is beyond pissed. "Ashley…"
"I want to know who is behind this." She said. "I am going to kill them. I am going to see their pathetic blood gush in front of me."
"And that is why they call you the Red Demon at home. I don't know why they call you Angel of Death here." Allenson said. He then let out a chuckle. "You can be such a demon my sister."
"You know that your jokes are not making me feel better." Ashley said, letting out a sigh. He is right. I should calm down. I still don't have any information of who is Mathew's boss is and why he doesn't remember me. I need to look for more clues. She let him go.
"It is making you feel something right." Allenson said. "I don't know why Mathew is doing this but it must be linked to the Rogue Signet." She then started to walk away. "Hey, where are you going?"
"I am going to cool down." Ashley said. Someone is controlling Mathew somehow… I can feel it. I am going to find them and kill them. She then turned to the grave. "Goodbye for now." She bowed in front of the grave.
Kyoya walked towards Kitaru, she was lost in thought after hosting her guests. Her table was filled with boxes of chocolate from the ladies. I have a lot of chocolate to kill. Well, at least I have a life time supply of chocolate. Then again, I have to give away chocolates to all the girls on White Day. So much to do… She let out a giggle. It is so much fun to be here. I don't want to leave this life. I wish Samuel can understand.
"Kitaru, may I join you?" Kyoya asked. She turned to him and smile. "I am done with my duties as well so I thought I should chat with you to kill some time."
"Of course, I am just waiting for the raffle." Kitaru said. "Also, I am very sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to make a scene with Samuel."
"It is quite alright." Kyoya said. "You brought in more guests because they found out you were royalty. At this rate, you are going to takeover Tamaki's position."
"Oh, I wouldn't go that far." Kitaru said, letting out a giggle. "He can be King."
"I see…" Kyoya said.
"Oh Kyoya-sempai, I want to thank you for helping during the mask ball." Kitaru said. "You were a big help. The dress you chose was simply beautiful."
"Of course it was beautiful, I chose it for you. I have good taste after all." Kyoya said, smiling at her. However you can see a hint of pink on his cheeks. "Also, you don't need to thank me. I was happy to help after all we are friends."
"We are not friends…" Kitaru said. Kyoya was shocked with his response. "We are best friends…" She started to giggle while Kyoya sigh with relief. "I got you didn't I?"
"You got me…" Kyoya admitted, laughing as well. I am happy we are friends Kitaru. "There is something that has been bugging me ever since I met you Kitaru."
"What is it?" Kitaru asked.
"Why did you refuse Lord Morinozuka's offer plus Prince Samuel's offer?" Kyoya asked. "Twice you have given an opportunity to live a life of ease but you refuse."
"I don't need money Kyoya…" Kitaru said, looking at the window. "Well, back then I was desperate. I wanted to live so badly and money was something I wished I had. But ever since I got that surgery, I learned that there is more to life than money."
"Money is a big thing." Kyoya said.
"Yes it is but life is far greater. I was always so shy and scared to do new things but I changed because I was given a second chance. I promised myself to live life to the fullest and live happily. The Host Club has taught me not to be scared and to open up to others more. Hosting ladies made me more sociable and being friends with you all made me feel wanted and special. And that is far more valuable than money."
"I guess that is a good thing." Kyoya said, smiling at her. You are not the only one that was saved by this club. This club saved my life as well. Then Kitaru gave him a small bag. "What is this?"
"You were so busy and I wanted to give you my Valentine's Day present. I gave everyone else their gift besides you." Kitaru said, smiling. "I hope you like it. I heard you are not very fond of sweets so I made you this." He opened it and found a silver star keychain decorated with violet and black beads. "It is for your phone. I hope you like it."
"Thank you Kitaru, you didn't need to give me a gift." Kyoya said. He was shocked that she even thought of giving him a gift. You're making it worse for me Kitaru…
"If you don't like it, it is okay." Kitaru said.
"No, I like it very much. Thank you so much. I was just shock that you went through all the trouble of giving me a gift." Kyoya said.
"But Haruhi gave you a gift, am I any different?" Kitaru asked.
"No, you are not. I am sorry for my reaction. I love the gift." Kyoya said, giving her a fake smile. "Mori-sempai is a lucky bastard to have you."
"Hmmm… What?" Kitaru said.
"Nothing…" Kyoya lied, smiling at her. That was a close one… I can't believe I said that out loud. He then turned to his watch. "Oh dear, it is time for me to do the raffle. Are you coming?" Kitaru you can be so cute sometimes to the point that I want you but I know I can't have you. He then let out a sigh while grabbing her hand. I can't help but feel jealous.
"Of course…" Kitaru said, smiling. She walked up on stage with the other hosts.
"Today, ladies we would begin our Valentines Day Raffle. I hope you all have your tickets with you." Tamaki said, smiling in front of them. "Our first host would be Honey-sempai. He is our cute host with an addiction to sweets." Then Kyoya walked towards him with a box. "Alright ladies, the only woman that would go on a date with Honey-sempai is…" He pulled out a ticket from the box. "It is 23474…"
"Oh that's me…" A girl said, holding the winning ticket.
"Then you are our lucky winner to have a date with Honey." Kyoya said. The raffled continued and every host had a date expect for Kitaru. She wasn't really paying attention to the raffle. She was more concern of Mori. Yes, she felt discomfort that their first Valentine's Day together as a couple would be spent by total strangers and also Mori would put his full attention and charming skills towards the pretty maiden. She knows that she can trust Mori with her heart yet feels a bit uneasy about it. "Okay, our finally raffle would have a date with our newest host, Kitaru." All the girls were screaming, hoping to get her as a date. Kitaru put up a fake smile and waved. "The ticket is 00001."
"Wow, I have that ticket." Mia said, walking up stage with her ticket.
"Congratulation Mia, you have a date with our angel." Kyoya said, smiling. Kitaru walked up to her and grabbed her hand.
"I hope I can give you the best date ever." Kitaru said. She then kissed her hand lightly. "To be honest, I have never taken a lady on a date before." All the ladies collapsed to the floor with rosy cheeks and desire. Mia in the other hand was blushing as well and still trying to keep her stance. "So I pick you up at three. Also, I need your number my princess."
"Sure?" Mia said, blushing. I know that Kitaru is a girl but I can't stop myself from blushing. She is so adorable and charming. I wish she was a real boy.
"Wow, Mia and Kitaru on a date..." Hikaru said.
"Somehow I am not surprise." Kaoru added. "Hey Mori, are you worried?"
"No, I trust Kita." Mori replied.
"We are going to have a blast." Honey said, smiling.
After school, Kitaru was packing her things so she can leave to get ready for her date with Mia. I hope I can give her a good time. So this is what a guy feels like when they are preparing for a date. It is too stressful. I am so happy that I am a girl but now, I took a bad time to be a guy. She let out a giggle. She was about to leave until someone covered her eyes. These hands and this scent… "Ahhh… Mori, why are you covering my eyes?" She asked. "I need to see where I am going you know."
"I have a surprise for you." Mori whispered. "Let's just say it is an early White Day gift." She blushed when she felt his lips so close. "So I am going to let go of my hands but I want those eyes shut when I do."
"Okay, I won't peak." Kitaru said. He let go of her and her eyes were still shut.
"Put out your hand." He said. She did and she felt something small and box-like. "You can open your eyes now." She opened her eyes and found a small red box on her hand. "Happy Valentine's Day Kita…"
"What is this?" Kitaru asked, staring at the box.
"Why don't you open it and find out." Mori said, hugging her from behind. She opened it and found a golden band ring decorated with rubies. The golden band formed angel wings. She blushed as she stared at the beautiful ring. "Do you love it?"
"Mori, it is so beautiful." Kitaru said. "But why are you giving me a ring?" He then hid his face in her pure white hair. "Mori?"
"I know we are too young for marriage but I just want you to know that this ring is the symbol of my undying love." Mori said, placing the ring on her finger. "This ring is a promise that no matter how far we are apart or how long we are not together, I would always love you and come back to you." He then kissed her hair. He was intoxicated with the smell of vanilla coming out of her hair and how soft it was. "I want you to be in my life forever."
"Oh Mori…" Kitaru said, turning to him. She could see how nervous he was and all she did was smile. "Mori, are you sure you want to stay with me forever?"
"I do… Do you have doubts?" Mori asked. Damn, I didn't expect this reaction. She then gave him a seductive look. Why is she looking at me that way?
"I love you too and I am happy for this. I want you to be in my life forever. I would wait for you." She said, pushing him to a chair and sitting on top of him. This is for payback from that Kendo practice. He was trapped and also blushing viciously as she moved her lips closer to his neck. "I... can…torture… you… forever…"
"Kita…" He moaned as she kisses his neck. She rubbed his chest smoothly and it gave him chills. I have never seen this side of Kitaru before. She then moved to his ear and nibbled on it. Damn it, she found my weak spot. Then she moved away before he lost his senses and giggled. "What? Why did you stop?"
"Let's just say that is a taste of your gift." Kitaru teased, sticking out her tongue.
"Then this is the best Valentine's Day ever." Mori said, smiling at her. She can be a demon when she wants to be. Damn she is good at it. She then sat on his lap and hugged him tightly. "Kita…"
"I am just happy." Kitaru said, smiling. He smile back and hugged her tightly. "Well, I have to get going. I have to get ready for my date."
"So what are you going to do with your date with Mia?"
"Hmmm… I was going to take her somewhere fun. I can ask my mom for her motorcycle. I do have a license. It is just I never use it." Kitaru said. "Oh, I have to call her that it is not going to be a fancy date because I can't afford it."
"I can help…" Mori said.
"No, it is fine. I have to pay for the date. It is the raffle rules. I can handle it." Kitaru said, smiling. "Also, you should save your money and charm for our date mister. I trust you and all but I still feel weird that you have to charm another girl. It is so unfair but I want you to treat her right." He then let out a chuckle. "Whoa, I made you laugh. It has been awhile."
"I can't help it. You can be such a goofball." Mori said, laughing it out. She is so cute when she is jealous. It shows how much she cares for me. "Kita, you know very well that I am not going to replace you. You are my girlfriend so you don't need to worry. There is no need to be jealous." Kitaru froze in front of him. "Hey Kita, is there something wrong?"
He changed a lot since I got here. He talks a lot and also he stops using his shield. Is it because of me? Kitaru thought, letting out a smile. "No, nothing at all…" To see him open up… even if he does it only in front of me, I am truly happy because I finally lifted his curse.
Mia was so nervous to the point that she was shaking like a leaf. I know that Kitaru and Mori are secretly dating but I can't help but have feelings for her. I don't know what to do. I am not supposed to be in love with a girl… She was wearing demi jean shorts and a pink flora top. She called earlier that I didn't need to dress up but I feel I should. I don't want to look ugly on our date. This is so nerve-wreaking. She then heard the doorbell. OH NO SHE IS HERE! Her butler opened the door and found Kitaru.
"Hello sir, may I help you?" The butler asked.
"Oh yes, I am here to pick up Mia. I am here to take her on a date." Kitaru answered, smiling sweetly at him. She was wearing long bang jeans and a white collar button down shirt. She was wearing her contact lenses and also her white hair was put back into a ponytail.
SHE IS SO CUTE! Mia thought, blushing. She walked down the stairway. "Hey Kitaru, you look nice."
"You look far more better than me Mia." Kitaru said. "You look very cute."
"Thank you…" She said, blushing. She thinks I am cute. She then turned to her butler. "Well, I am off Adam. I would return shortly."
"Alright , farewell milady." The butler replied. They walked out the door and she found a motorcycle. Kitaru gave her a leather pink jacket and helped her put it on.
"You look cute in pink." Kitaru complimented.
"Thank you…" Mia said. Kitaru got on the bike and gave her a pink helmet.
"Don't be scared. I would make sure you would have a good time." Kitaru said. Mia climb on the bike and sat behind her. She then put on the helmet. "I want you to hold on to me very tightly and don't let go."
"Okay…" Mia said, wrapping her arms around her. She is so warm. Kitaru started the motorcycle and they drove off. I can stay like this forever. She let out a blush. As Kitaru rode the motorcycle, Mia couldn't stop smelling her. She smells like vanilla… It is so good. WHAT AM I DOING?! KITARU DOESN'T SEE ME LIKE THAT! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!
"ARE YOU OKAY BACK THERE?" Kitaru screamed. She had to because the motorcycle was too loud.
"YES, I AM…" Mia loudly replied.
"GOOD, YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE WHERE WE ARE HEADING!" Kitaru screamed. They made it to the beach and found a festival at the bay area. She parked her motorcycle at the parking zone and took off her helmet. But to her surprised, she found Mia still hugging her tightly. "Mia, we are here. You can let go of me."
"Oh sorry…" Mia said, swiftly letting go. How embarrassing… Kitaru help her take off her helmet and smooth her cheek. Mia was blushing with the touch.
"It is fine. I told you to never let me go." Kitaru said, smiling.
"So Kitaru, where are we?" Mia said, getting off the bike. She is so considerate and loving. Why does she have to be a girl?
"We are at the beach. There is a festival going on here called the Starry Night Festival." Kitaru answered. "It is a festival they held every year to celebrate the reign of the Star Princess."
"Star Princess?" Mia repeated, looking baffled. "I never heard of that before."
"Well, the Star Princess is a legend here. When the moon was the only light in the night sky, the Moon Prince was all alone and felt incomplete. He then came across a woman that loves to watch him from the night sky and they fell in love." Kitaru explained. "But the woman was gravely ill and the Moon Prince was so sad that he couldn't do anything to help her let alone be by her side. In the end she died and the Moon Prince drown myself with grieve and sadness. He was alone once again and the night sky grew ever so dark and cold."
"How sad…" Mia said, frowning.
"It is but that's not the ending. The Moon Prince found another bright light in the night sky and followed it. When he finally reaches the shimmering light, he froze in shock. It was his lover, glowing brightly in front of him. They were together at last and love each other forever." Kitaru explained. "The bunch of stars you see in the sky is their children and their children's children. That is how the night sky stops being a lonely place for the moon."
"That is a beautiful story." Mia said. "So this festival is to celebrate their love."
"Yup, to be honest I didn't know where to take you on our date but when I heard about this festival a few days ago I thought of bringing you here. If you don't like it, we can go somewhere else."
"NO… I mean…" Mia said, blushing. "As long I am with you, anything is fine. And besides, we are here anyway and it looks interesting. This is going to be my first commoner festival so I am happy to have this experience with you Kitaru."
"Then I am happy that you understand." Kitaru said, grabbing her hand. "Well, let's have some fun. Come on my Star Princess, let's go."
"Okay…" She said, blushing. No wonder why Mori is crazy over you… You are such a cutie.
Mori took his date to a fancy restaurant and she was ever so excited to spend the day with him. His silent charm gave her the best date she would ever hope for. Haruhi ended up with twins and she thought it would be hard for her but she was wrong. Being a natural, the twins were captivated by her and tend to fight over her time to time. Hikaru and Kaoru took their dates on a shopping date and even gave them designer dresses as gifts from their mother's clothing line. Tamaki charmed his date and spoiled like a princess but he texts Haruhi to check how she is doing. Kyoya took his date to a café and showered her with his cool charm and wit. Honey took his date to the movies and with his cuteness; his date couldn't stop staring at him while they watched a scary movie. They were doing their job perfectly, making every girl happy. It was five o'clock and the hosts already decided to meet at the music room after their dates everyone was there except for Kitaru.
"So Haruhi, how was the twins?" Hikaru teased.
"I hope they weren't hard on you." Kaoru teased.
"Actually they reminded me of you two." Haruhi said. "They were actually fun and cute to hang out with."
"My date was fun too." Honey said."How was your date Takashi?"
"It was alright." Mori said. It was okay I guess but I had a problem paying attention to her.
"You all did a great job." Tamaki said. "I am proud of each and every one of you."
"You should save your speech for later daddy." Kyoya said. "Our Angel type hasn't return from her date."
"I wonder what is keeping her." Hikaru said. Then Mia burst in the room with tears in her eyes. She panted heavily as she approached them. "Mia, is that you? What's wrong?"
"Kitaru….she is in trouble…" Mia said, grasping for air.
"What? Slow down and tell us what happened." Haruhi said, giving her a cup of water. Mia drank it and took a deep breath.
"We were having a great time on our date and she was about to drop me off until two black cars started to smash us. She didn't want to stop at my house because she was worried they would stop and capture me. As we were far away from them, she told me to get off the bike and told me to come here. She was going to drive them away from me." Then she started to cry. "I am so worried." Mori already left the room, racing away with worry and fear.
Kita… I am coming…. Mori thought, shaking as he was running. Please be alright. Please let me make it.
"This is bad." Tamaki said. "It is probably the Rogue Signet."
"I would get the cars ready." Kyoya said. I hope she is okay. I am very worried. "Also, I am calling the police force. This is very serious."
"Haru-chan, get a hold of Ash-chan. She can get there faster." Honey said.
"Sure, I get hold of her right away." Haruhi said. She then started to cry while dialing the phone. "I am so worried." Tamaki hugged her to calm her down.
"She would be okay. We just have to get there on time." Tamaki said.
"I hope your right…" Haruhi said.
"Hikaru… Kaoru… Take Mia home…" Tamaki said.
"No, I need to know if Kitaru is okay." Mia said. "I want to come with you."
"Then you better stay with us." Hikaru said.
"You will be safe." Kaoru added.
Kitaru rode the motorcycle at full speed through the highway as she was still being chased by two black cars. Damn, I can't even go on a date without getting into trouble. One man brought his body out of the window and started shooting at her with a gun. She tried her best to dodge them. "You got to be kidding me… They are shooting me..." Then her phone started ringing and she picked up. "Hello…"
"Kita, where are you?" Mori asked, riding a black motorcycle through the highway.
"Mori, I am almost at the intersection. They are shooting me." Kitaru answered. "I don't know if I can shake them."
"I am almost there." Mori said. "Stay tight… Kyoya called the Police plus your mother is on her way. Just keep dodging the bullets."
"I would…" But she was cut off. They shot her phone and it tumbled swiftly away from her in pieces. "Damn it…" Then a helicopter flew above her and was shooting her as well. "What? You got to be kidding me." Both cars made it between her. She was stuck in the middle and was getting hit by the car plus getting shot it. When they are about to slam into her once more she pulled back, letting both cars collide into one another. "Yes…" Then the men from the helicopters were still shooting at her. She turned around and drove away but to her misfortune, they shot her tires and she crashed on the road. Her arm got pierced by broken glass from the motorcycle's rear mirror. She forced her body and started running. But four black cars blocked her path and she was surrounded by armed men in black suits. "What do you want with me?"
"Princess Kitalena, if you come quietly we would spare your life." One man said.
"You got the wrong person. My name is Kitaru Fujioka." Kitaru snapped.
"We know who are you? We were tracking you down for ten years." The man said. "We were waiting for the perfect opportunity to capture you. Your bodyguard seems to be a hassle but now that she is not, we can finally take you to our boss."
"I won't go with you." She said.
"You don't have a choice." The man said. "Surrender princess…" Then Mori smashed into one of the cars with his motorcycle. He jumped when the motorcycle collide and landed in front of Kitaru.
"Mori…" Kitaru said. Her eyes widened with shock. He came… He came for me…
"Kita, are you okay?" Mori said. Thank God I made it in time.
"Yes, I am fine…" Kitaru said, stilling gripping her arms. This shoulder is giving me a lot of pain though. Ouch… He turned and found Kitaru bleeding and with that, his eyes sparked with rage and anger. "Mori?"
"Who did this? Who hurt her?" Mori asked, gripping his fist. She is bleeding…
"Kid, do you know what position you are in?" The man said. "You are surrounded and even though you broke one of our cars, you still didn't get rid of us. A matter of fact, you are going to pay for the damage you cause here."
"I said who did this?" Mori said.
"All of us… We hurt her." The man teased. "What are you doing to do about it hero?" Mori dashed towards him and punched him on the face. "What the…" Mori then swiftly disarmed every single man. He was in burning rage as he beat down every single man and didn't show mercy. The men on the helicopter were about to shoot him until Ashley jumped in the air and sliced the helicopter into pieces with her katana, it exploded and the police force was right behind her, ready to back her up and arrest some criminal. "Let's talk…"
"You took pride of hurting her." Mori said. "I am going to wipe that smile on your face." Kitaru watched Mori with fear as he brutally beat down the leader. Even unconscious, he was still punching him. He had an evil grin on his face as if he was enjoying it, enjoy seeing blood gushing out of the body.
"MORI, STOP IT!" Kitaru screamed, racing towards him. "THAT'S ENOUGH…" She hugged him from behind and started to cry. "Please stop Mori… I beg of you." He froze as he felt her tears dripping on his back. "He got what he deserves. You don't need to kill him. Please stop." He then found blood all over his fists and started shaking. He turned to her and hugged her tightly. He then started to cry. "Mori, I am okay. Please calm down…" Her fingers raced through his black raven hair. "Mori…" He let her go and started to run away. "MORI!"
"Kita…" He said, racing away in tears. "I didn't want you to see me like this."
"MORI!" Kitaru screamed. Why is he running? He saved me. The host club members made it to the scene and found Kitaru. He was crying too…. Did I do something wrong?
"KITARU!" They screamed, racing towards them. Haruhi was the first one to hug her.
"Oh Kitaru, you made me so worried." Haruhi said, hugging her tight. "I am so happy that you are safe."
"Haruhi, I am sorry to make you all worried." Kitaru said, hugging her back. She then found Mia, crying. "Mia, you are here too. I hope you are okay. I am sorry about the date and all." Mia hugged her too. "Mia…"
"You idiot, I was worried about you too." Mia cried.
"Hey, where is Takashi?" Honey asked.
"He…well… he ran away after he saved me." Kitaru said, letting out a frown. I need to talk to him after. I want to know why he ran away from me.
"I am glad she is okay." Kyoya said.
"Yeah but it is getting worse." Tamaki pointed out. "We can't protect her like this."
"Ever since her being a royal blue blood went public, it became worse." Hikaru added.
"And I agree with Tamaki, I am worried that we can't protect her." Kaoru added.
"Take these men to get medical attention and clean up this mess right away." Ashley ordered. All the police officers gave her a salute. I made it just in time. I am so happy that she is still okay.
"YES MA'AM!" They all screamed. Then he phone started to ring. She answered it.
"Mona, it was a close call." Ashley said on the phone. "If it wasn't for Takashi, she would have been taken."
"At least she is safe. I was worried about her too. Plus, your request that you presented from the boss, she approved it. "
"It is good news but after this incident, I am afraid to leave Kitaru alone." Ashley said. "She might get attack again."
"How about you leave her with the Morinozuka Clan, it is an obvious choice?"
"That is not a bad idea.. I would inform Lord Morinozuka right away." Ashley said, letting out a sigh. "I have to end all of these attacks."
