(Twins are nine)
Yori sat on the grass, looking out into the distance, he was so angry; he wanted to cry but knew that was just weakness. He clenched his fist tightly, his fingers cutting into his skin.
"I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM…! He screamed as he kicked the grass.
Why should Kiyoshi have it all? Why should he have a mother and him not? He didn't even appreciate such a beautiful thing, having a mother is better than any gift that could be given from the heavens.
Yori pulled his knees up, he could feel the hate within him, and the darkness that he had silenced for almost nine years was slowly surfacing.
"IT'S NOT FAIR, WHY? WHY? WHYYYYYYYY?" he questioned the sky, his voice broken as he felt tears glide down his cheek.
The boy quickly wiped his eyes; he placed his head down and combed his fingers through his hair. His thoughts were fixed on the blue haired mage, his heart sunk as he saw the image of Erza.
"Noooooooooooooooooo" he cried, as he c closed his eyes and pulled his long white hair.
Even a good person's heart can be corrupted by hatred; sometimes the feeling of anger and sorrow can be ignored but if the pain runs to deep the light and happiness can seem so far away. Most of us fall into the darkness when we are left alone with our thoughts, we think in a different way as we sit surrounded by nothingness. If you have no hope and no reasoning for the pain that lives within your chest, then there seems as though there is no point in finding the light, the darkness makes more sense. It understands your feelings and you don't have to pretend to be strong, you just hurt less…
These were the words Yori now lived by, there was no point in being good anymore, his path was to follow behind his brother and break the ones who took things for granted. Kiyoshi would no longer have his sympathy, he had seen a new side to the blue haired wizard, he didn't care for what he had and for that Yori would defeat the boy and allow his brother to take the Fairy Tail mages soul.
The white haired wizard smirked, happily. Finally his words were making sense to him, the path of darkness is one he could now, truly understand.
Yori closed his eyes as he allowed the darkness to overtake him. Just then he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him, he quickly turned around. A little ball of white fur popped its head out. Yori sighed and shook his head; he turned back around and ignored the little cub.
The black striped baby tiger bounced out of the leaves and raced towards him, nuzzling his hand.
"Go away!" the boy snapped.
The little cub ignored his words and began climbing on to his leg; Yori growled and picked him up. He looked into the cubs dark black eyes, the little tiger wiggled around as he tried to lick the boy's face.
"I said no" Yori warned again and placed the little cub back down.
The little tiger continued to bounce around in front of him, he ran from side to side, distracting the boys thoughts. Yori opened his eyes and looked at him, but he couldn't yell at the cub that was now sat in front of him, panting. His large pink tongue flopped out of his mouth, his ears perked up. The cub noticed Yori was looking at him and stood back up on all fours. The white haired mage smiled and called him back over, the little cub pounded over to the boy, jumping on his chest. Yori lay back as the tiger began licking his face; the boy stroked the baby cub, its fur soft and fluffy.
"How can I be mad at you Bakeneko" he smiled, whispering his words.
Bakeneko was one of Yori's oldest friends; he was the first creature to be given to him when he had received his magic at the age of five. After he had killed the wild crocodile and presented its large claw to the guild, the wolves had accepted his kill and so had given him the mark and magic from the ancient believes of the wolves.
Yori's magic was nothing like his brothers, or anyone's in the guild. His was one that was truly ancient, at first he didn't believe it would be a strong magic that was until he had be-friended one of the spirits. Bakeneko was of course a tiger, a tiger which could transform from a cute baby cub to an oversized tiger, with angel wings. The animal was not aggressive; out of all his creatures Bakeneko was the one Yori loved the most. The tiger had always been there for him, though he couldn't speak, he saw the love and care within the cats, big, black eyes.
The young boy laughed as he ruffled up the cat's fur, Bakeneko paused from licking his master's face, and he stared at Yori with his huge, round eyes, tilting his head slightly. His lips almost looked as though they had curled up into a smile.
"Let's go!" Yori smiled, understanding the tiny cub.
Just because something can't talk, doesn't mean they can't communicate. Yori had learned this from a very young age, Bakeneko used his ears and body as well as his eyes to communicate with his master, Yori could read most of the things the tiger told him, though sometimes he would get it wrong, but that's the beauty of having magic, your forever learning.
Yori stood, with the little cub at his side. The white haired mage smiled and began running through the wide spread forest, towards the cliff where he had been looking out to the city of Magnolia. The tiny black, stripped cub ran alongside of him.
The pair ran in harmony, there paws and feet in rhythm, like they were one. Bakeneko transformed, with a huge bright light he had tripled in size and was gliding gracefully over the cool, green grass. Yori stretched his arms out and jumped from the cliff, Bakeneko soured down toward the falling boy. Yori landed directly in the middle of the cat's large shoulders, Bakeneko spread his beautiful white, angel wings.
Yori hugged the tiger, burying his head in his fur. Bakeneko turned and looked at the small boy, his huge wings glided gracefully through the night sky. The pair swooped over the huge city of Magnolia; Yori lifted his head up and glanced down at the beauty of the night. He smiled and stretched his arms out, the cool, calm wind brushed through his long, spikey up hair. This is what freedom felt like, he loved being with his tiger, but most of all he loved being so close to the diamond filled sky.
On the night of the ritual, nobody around Yori consider how magical his power actually was, his father was hoping for something stronger and his brother had told him his magic was nothing compared to his darkness. But the wolves understood how rare and unique the white haired mages magic was. Because the young wizard had killed something so old so to was his magic. A crocodile is the closest relation to dinosaurs; they haven't changed much since he prehistoric beasts ruled the world. As soon as the wolves saw the claw of the crocodile, they knew the boy would receive the oldest magic known to them, mythical creatures.
Bakeneko soured down and silently landed on the roof of the old cottage, Yori was back at Kiyoshi's house. The young boy climbed off his large tiger and slid carefully down the roof so he was sat just above the blue haired wizard's room. Bakeneko watched the boy; his heart filled with sadness that shone through his eyes. He knew that Yori had started to stray off the path he was supposed to follow, the hatred in his heart was so dark, the tiger placed his head down, resting it on his paws. If only Yori could hear his mother's words, maybe then he wouldn't feel the need to follow behind Katio.
"Goodnight" Erza whispered as she tucked Kiyoshi in.
The scarlet haired beauty stood over her son, smiling, she watched him for a while as he slept. Yori lowered himself down further to peek in to the clear, cold glass.
"Love you mummy" Ayoko called from her bed.
"Goodnight sweetheart" Erza replied, turning towards her daughter.
Yori stared at the mother, his heart bled as she ran her fingers through Kiyoshi's blue hair. She slowly turned and looked at her babies; she stood at the door as she whispered her love to them, and then quietly shut the door behind her.
The young boy stared into the dark room, his body felt heavy and his heart could feel nothing but emptiness. He slowly sat up and bit down on his lip, he looked up to the twinkling stars, praying to someone, anyone to listen to his aching heart.
