Author's Note:

Hello everyone and here is yet another update for you to enjoy. This is a nice humorous one and involves a bit of ingenuity from Hikaru. Thank you for your continued support and I hope you enjoy the chapter.

I own nothing.

Cruel and Unusual Torture

Hikaru was glaring at their prisoner.

The Enterprise had encountered an unknown vessel crewed by an unknown humanoid race. Since it was the Enterprise the other crew had of course pretended to be friendly and then kidnapped Jim, Spock and Bones and escaped leaving the Enterprise with no idea of where they had gone and a single enemy crew member as a prisoner. The prisoner was of course unwilling to tell them where the ship had gone and their interrogations had proven fruitless leading to Hikaru standing with Scotty glaring at the humanoid in the brig.

"Do ye have any ideas on what we should do laddie?"

Still glaring at the smug looking prisoner Hikaru answered, "Not really, we've pretty much done everything we can while still keeping to morality."

The engineer nodded, "Aye, Ah think that guy could put up with a lot of torture before cracking and dinnae want tae start on that sort of thing."

Hikaru sighed and there was a dejected silence until he gave a sudden exclamation, "I've got an idea!"

"What's yer idea laddie?"

Grinning evilly Hikaru related his idea to the Scotsman and Scotty's eyes lit up as he explained it. When Hikaru had finished explaining Scotty gave him his own evil grin, "Ah think that's a grand idea laddie. Let's get it started."

About three hours later they arrived triumphantly on the bridge with the enemy ship's destination. It didn't take long for the Enterprise to catch the ship up and rescue their three senior officers though it resulted in the enemy ship exploding, thankfully they managed to beam the crew off the ship before it happened so there were no casualties. After all the usual aftermath events of such an occurrence Jim finally got round to finding out what Hikaru and Scotty did to get the information they needed.

"So how did you guys get that crewmember to talk?"

Hikaru grinned at Jim, "Well you know that song Pavel likes that he used to drive us insane with?"

Jim winced as he remembered said song and how it was played almost non-stop for weeks by the teen, "Yes."

"Well we started to play that through the brig's speakers over and over again and it took about three hours of that song non-stop before the guy finally cracked."

"I'm guessing he told you what you wanted to know at that moment."

"Aye sir," Scotty said, "he was pretty much begging tae tell us anything we wanted just tae get the song tae stop."

"I'm sure that could count as an inhumane torture making him listen to that for three hours."

"Actually it was longer than three hours Captain." Hikaru informed him.

"What do you mean longer than three hours?"

"Well we haven't actually stopped playing the song yet."

Down in the brig the prisoners from the other ship were almost crying as 'Everything is Awesome' from 'The Lego Movie' was repeated yet again.

PS-So what did you guys think of the new interrogation technique? Please review and let me know what you thought.
