Dear Severus,
I want start with an apology and hope I didn't overstep your boundaries too badly by kissing you at the end of the evening and then popping off. It's not too often that I am treated to such an incredible time and I'm afraid I took liberties by doing so and ruined things.
Other than that I hope our meeting Saturday was favourable for you as it was for me. I admit I was a bit tongue tied and flustered due to being a bit star-struck and intimidated by how handsome you are. Your legendary snark at my nervousness really made me smile though and instantly comforted me.
Your thoughts on potion making proved just how brilliant you are. The comment on using Toadflax with Peruvian bark or a solution of quinine and a little cinnamon was inspired.
Please forgive my lack of response until now. I started this letter several times as I was unsure how it would be received.
Sincerely,
Masterless Apprentice

Dear Masterless Apprentice,
You need not apologise for your lack of response, the author of this letter collection is so awful at keeping promises I do not receive them for weeks anyway. Also do not worry you did not overstep any boundaries, I admit I was surprised, forgive my seeming lack of enthusiasm at your display of affection, but returned home pleased none the less.
Thank you for that Saturday, I am so glad I spent it at that quaint little place with you rather than marking a pile of pathetic essays from a group of Hogwarts second years who still don't understand even the most mundane concepts of potions even after an entire year of my teaching.
Thank you also for your views on my ideas, I would love to hear how your potion endeavours worked out in the end, whichever root you took be it the toadflax or quinine, I'd personally suggest experimenting with both and comparing the results to see which was more pleasing.
Yours sincerely,
Severus
PS: I've been working on a new potion as of late and would be greatly interested on your thoughts on the matter, of course the details are not something I can risk leaking to the world as of yet and you can never be too sure as to where the contents of letters end up, perhaps we could meet again after this muggle festival 'easter' to discuss the matter further, say… three weeks on Saturday?
May it be noted that I have never seen Professor Snape scrap and redraft a letter so many times, whatever happened on saturday is obviously still fresh in his memory...
Also dear readers, I'm afraid I'm going to have to call it a night as it is now 2.25 am and I need to be up and ready to go out at 11 (which for me is a stretch, I'm not a morning person unless it is the hours of the morning which can still be classed as night). I'll try to update some more tomorrow, but I refused to log out without posting this chapter. I admit i'm very tempted to do a one-shot of 'Snape's date' but i'd first need permission from the amazing person who began these love letters to our favourite potions professor (LadyBookworm80 - you're awesome). Out of curiosity, if i did post such a fanfiction, would you all read it?
-Tara
