"Welcome back! It's the second day of the games but already we have lost a young wizard, Meghan from Mermaid Heel was eliminated yesterday" Chapati began

"Yes it was rather sad seeing such a young spirit leave the competition so early on" Yajima added

"But we still have the Wolfclaw twins, Katio and Yori, cooollllll" Jason cheered as he fisted the air

"Indeed we do, but the competition isn't over yet we still have three more rooms to go, so lets welcome back our young wizards" Chapati pointed over to the centre of the arena where the five wizards stood

"Leading the competition in first place is Katio with his eight point score from yesterday"

The crowd cheered for the Wolfclaw guild, children waved their flags in the air while parents clapped and yelled out encouraging words.

Katio did not look up when his name was mention, he had only won one challenge. He didn't understand why the crowd was cheering so loudly, there were still challenges left to complete. Yes he was in the lead but that didn't mean he was victorious.

"Idiots..." he muttered under his breath

The raven only had a one point lead, to him it meant nothing. In fact to his father it was shameful, Katio had already beaten himself up for his lacking performance from yesterday. He needed to try harder today, he needed to do better than his best. His brother Yori would not bring the Wolf's glory, his brother was weak and caring. It was all up to the raven, he needed to be victorious.

Kiyoshi glanced over at Yori who had his head down, he had a red mark on his cheek. The blue haired wizard noticed the mark was new, he had not seen it yesterday when they had all left the arena after the first challenge. Had something happened? He wondered as he kept his gaze upon the white haired boy.

"And in joint last place are Kiyoshi and Yori" Chapati's voice echoed in the background

"What happened to you?" Kiyoshi questioned the Wolfclaw wizard in a whisper

The white haired wizard glanced up seeing Kiyoshi looking at him, the boy frowned and turned away.

"Today's game is called The Laughter of Children"

The crowd glanced at one another, confused but also excited at the strange title of the game. Jellal frowned as he heard the judges words.

"I don't like the sound of this game" he mumbled under his breath

"Why? What's wrong with it?" Erza asked, looking at him confused

"The same rules apply as before, you will be given exactly five minutes to complete the challenge within the room" Chapati stated once more

"What do you mean their not children anymore?" Erza asked

"Laughter of Children is the title of an old legend about naughty children who were taken by a mysterious stranger, they were lead into dark caves and never seen again" Jellal explained

"Never seen again?"

"When people did eventually go down into the caves they were attached by small monsters the size of young children"

"Wait...the monsters were the children?"

Jellal nodded his head "They were transformed into goblins because of their bad behaviour"

"I recall that legend but I used to think it was only a story to scare naughty children" Lucy commented, hearing Jellal and Erza's conversation

"The doors have now been closed, I will begin the time" Chapati pointed to the clock in the sky, the large numbers began ticking down

"The game has now begun, who will come out victorious?" he smiled as the large screen flickered on in the centre of the arena

The rooms were different from yesterday, instead of being in darkness the rooms were now lit up by a solar light which was upon the celling. Though it was dim it still helped the wizards see the small area around them, the floor was no longer sand but hard, grey rock.

Kiyoshi looked down at the damp stones under his feet, there was a small stream running through the room, it was small and shallow. He wondered why there was water, but before he could fully analyse the siltation he heard someone crying, a child crying.

"I though the game was called laughter of children why can I hear sadness?" the boy asked out aloud

"Young Kiyoshi has not yet figured out who the voices belong to, clearly he has not been told the legion of the naughty children" Chapati commented through his speaker

"It seems Yori is not bothered by such creatures" Yajima smiled as he watched the young wolf boy

Yori was sitting on one of the large grey rocks, his trousers now wet from the dampness of the stone. The white haired wizard heard the children's cries but ignored them and instead waited. He had already figured out what they were, after all he did posses the power of mythical creatures.

"He does seem rather relaxed, but why is he not moving?" Jason asked

"Yori posses a very old ancient magic, something I would expect from a guild named Wolfclaw" Yajima replied

"What?...?"

"Wolfclaw is a very old guild" Yajima started to explain

"Old? But it was only established a few years ago" Jason looked at the old man in confusion

"No actually they have been around for hundreds of years"

"Wow! Really? Then how come we haven't heard about them until recently?"

"We have known about them for quite sometime, but it has only been these last few years that people have really noticed them. The Wolfclaw guild is very secretive, even now not a lot is know about them "

"So why are they actually called the Wolfclaw guild?"

"Because they are guided by the great wolf"

"Wolf's guide them?"

"Yes, every guild has an origin, for Wolfclaw it is of course the wolf"

"Wow, that totally blows my mind...!" Jason blinked "So was it the wolf's that gave Yori his magic?"

"That I am not certain about, all I know is that they have ancient rituals where the wolves are present. No one knows what happens during these rituals or how long they last, it is all quite a mystery"

"So...cooollllll, I love Wolfclaw even more now! They are simply amazing, I wish to know more about them!"

"As do we all Jason, haha, as do we all..."

Yori continued to wait silently, his patience was rewarded as the small goblins came into view. The young wizard did not flinch from their appearance. The Wolfclaw twin began speaking in another language to the goblins, they looked as though they understood him. One goblin which seemed a little taller than the rest began speaking back.

"What are they saying? Does anyone know?" Jason asked, titling his head

"I'm not familiar with the tongue the boy is speaking" Yajima confessed

"It seems Yori does not wish to battle with the monsters" Chapati added

"He has the upper hand here" Jellal mumbled

"That hardly seems fair" Natsu huffed

"Everyone's magic gives them an advantage depending on the situation, for Yori it is this" Erza commented

"The Wolfclaw guild" Jellal mumbled "It seems as though they have many secrets that we are unaware of" Jellal looked over at the guild members who were all sat watching the screen with calm, stone faces "They don't seem at all shaken by the challenges"

"What's with that?" Erza asked

"I don't know but it makes me feel uneasy" Jellal's brow furrowed

Kiyoshi took a step back as the mythical creatures came into full view, the wizard gasped in horror at the small beasts appearance. Their skin was a greyish brown, their ears hung down beside their heads, the tips slightly pointed. Kiyoshi could hardly see into their slit, narrow and dark eyes. They wore only trousers which hung over their small feet, the material looked damp and had many visible tares in them.

"W-What are you?" he asked, trying to gather his thoughts

Yori offered his hand out to the creatures, the lead goblin that had spoke to him lowered his large stick and reached out to the young wizard. The crowd watched in silence, they were hoping to see a fight between the goblins and the Wolfclaw wizard but instead Yori was befriending them.

"Well this truly is a turn of events, it seems Yori has decided to not harm the creatures. This is the first time something like this has happened in the Kingdom Hall Games" Chapati commented

"Indeed this is remarkable, the Wolfclaw guild never stops surprising us" Yajima added

Yori took the hand of the goblin, the rest of the mythical begins walked closer to the young white haired wizard, they were calm just as Yori was. The boy had befriended the creatures, they did not want to fight him and he did not want to cause them harm. The goblins gathered around Yori, sitting down on the damp, cold rocks. The boy and the beasts, waited together for the stone wall to rise, declaring the end of the challenge.

"Ah...!" Kiyoshi cried out in pain as he was tossed across the room

Erza clenched her fist as her baby was attacked once more. The creatures laughed as they struck the young wizard again and again with the magic stick which was in the goblin leaders possession. Kiyoshi groaned in agony as he lifted his injured body off the floor, he glanced up seeing the long stick light up once more, the end glowed a deep green. The wizard's eyes grew wide as he realized he would not be able to doge another attack. He turned his back towards the goblin as the beast shot the glowing light towards him. Kiyoshi was slammed into the rocky wall.

"Ah...!" he cried out

"Hahahahahahahahaa" the army of goblins smiled at one another before the leader ordered them to attack the injured wizard

Kiyoshi stumbled to the right, away from the wall. He caught his breathe before turning and seeing the goblins coming towards him with small, sharp weapons. Kiyoshi grabbed his balance and slowly closed his eyes. Keeping his breathing calm, he relaxed and thought of the memories him and his sister had made.

Within a moment his tattoo began to glow, Kiyoshi lightly exhaled as he brought his hand up, his palm flat as he called upon his magic.

"It seems Kiyoshi is trying to do something" Chapati stood up from his seat

Slowly the room began filling with white smoke, fog. The goblins stopped dead in their tracks and started looking around for the wizard which they had lost sight of. The fog slowly began to thicken, before long the goblins were unable to see their own feet. Kiyoshi opened his eyes, because it was his own magic he could see through the thick, white screen he had created. He saw all of the goblins, wondering around in circles, bumping and screaming at one another.

"It seems Kiyoshi has confused the creatures, what will he do next?" Chapati wondered aloud, intrigued by the young wizards magic

The crowd watched in anticipation, Erza relaxed, feeling that her son was in much better control of the situation now. Jellal smiled and gently gave Erza's hand a light squeeze.

"W-What is this? Has Kiyoshi made it start raining inside? H-How is that possible!" Chapati stuttered, his mouth a gape

Kiyoshi lifted his hand in the air, small dark clouds began forming above him, they quickly spread across the entire celling. The goblins glanced up in confusion as the room rumbled from the sounds of thunder. The small beasts began to panic as it began to rain, they started running around as the cold, wet droplets poured down on them. Kiyoshi lowered his hand as the room began to fill with water, he stood still, he began to slow his breathing as the water rose to his knees.

"W-What's he doing? There's no where for the water to go, he can't swim!" Erza began to panic

Jellal's hand slipped from hers as she stood up, the mothers body had begun to shake in fear as she watched in horror.

The goblins started kicking and splashing around, attempting to swim in the deep. Kiyoshi remained calm as his body was surrounded by the cold water. The clouds above them started to fade away, but still the rain poured in, causing the water to rise higher.

"Get him out of there, he cant swim!" Erza shouted down to the judges

Everyone turned and looked at the screaming women, Jellal stood and placed his arm around her, offering the distressed mother comfort.

"There is no way to stop the game, the wall does not open until the time has run out" Chapati repeated the rule once more

"His going to drowned...!" Erza cried as tears flooded her dark eyes

Kiyoshi placed his hand on the celling, the cries of the goblins had stopped, their small bodies now floating around, lifeless. The blue haired wizard took deep long breathes as the water rose further, he closed his eyes and grabbed one last gasp of air before his body was engulfed.

"Kiyoshi...!" Erza screamed

The large screen which was watching the young boy began flashing, Kiyoshi's body could be seen sinking deeper into the water. There was no movement from the young boy, not even bubbles to show that he was breathing. Erza gripped tightly to Jellal's shirt just before the screen went black and they lost sight of the boy.

"KIYOSHI...!" Erza pulled from Jellal's arms "KIYOSHI...! STOP THE GAME, STOP THE GAME, GET MY BABY OUT OF THERE...!"

"The game cannot b-"

"GET HIM OUT...!" Erza cried as she tried to jump down into the arena but was stopped by Jellal "LET GO OF ME, LET GO OF ME...!" She pleaded through tears

Jellal held his love, turning her away from the crowd. Lucy and Lisanna huddled around the sobbing mother, their hearts pained as Erza continued to pleaded. Jellal stared at the black screen, anxiety filled him as the clock slowly ticked down its numbers.

"Times up, have all the wizards survived?" Chapati asked as the stone doors slowly opened

Erza pulled away from everyone's grip, she jumped over the high wall and into the arena as the wall that sealed Kiyoshi's room slowly opened.

"Kiyoshi" she screamed

Jellal went after the scarlet haired mother "Erza...!"

Erza slowed her running as she grew closer to the room, the stone wall was now half way up yet there was no water escaping from it.

"Kiyoshi?" she called, her voice lower than before

The young Fairy Tail wizard slowly walked out, dripping wet. His blue hair was flat over his eyes, his cheeks a tinted pink. He looked at his mother in confusion, he turned and saw his dad racing towards him.

"W-Wha-" he went to ask but was pulled into his mothers arms

"You had us worried...!" Erza cried as she held her son

"Why?" Kiyoshi replied, not understanding his mothers concern

Erza wiped her eyes and gently pushed Kiyoshi from her arms, so as to look at him

"I thought you couldn't swim, you were locked in that room with all that water"

"I'm sorry for worrying you mum" he apologised, his voice small

"It's alright, you're safe now" she smiled and lightly kissed his wet cheek

Jellal came to a slow stop beside them, catching his breathe he smiled at Erza and Kiyoshi

"You gave us quite a scare"

"Sorry dad"

"But that aside, you did really well" he praised him

"Thanks" Kiyoshi smiled as he brushed his wet hair away from his face, his pale tattoo still slightly visible

"What an amazing round...!" Chapati cried "That was truly remarkable, this round will surly be hard to judge!"

"Oh yes, yes! I cant even think of who was the best wizard out of this round, Kiyoshi had me at the edge of my seat, which I happened to fall off!" Jason laughed

"Well done to all of the wizards, everyone performed very well but we will now do the scores" Chapati told the audience

Katio: 7

Yori: 6

Yuki: 6

Ayoko: 3

Kiyoshi: 8

"Ayoko really struggled in that round" Yajima commented

"She did indeed but that does not mean she failed" Chapati replied back

"The young wizards are just so cool...!" Jason cried

"With the scores from this round complete this is how the leader board is looking" Chapati looked up into the sky as the wizards names and points appeared

Katio: 15

Yori: 11

Yuki: 13

Ayoko: 10

Kiyoshi: 13

"It seems Katio is still in the lead" Yajima pointed out

"Yes but he only managed to gain a two point lead from Yuki and Kiyoshi" Chapati replied

Everyone began to cheer and wave their small flags, the second day of the games was over.

"Today's events have been somewhat breath taking" Yajima commented

"They most certainly have, but we still have two more rounds to go! I predict tomorrow's game will be much more intense! Ayoko needs to try much harder if she is to catch up with Katio and her brother!" Chapati commented

"I'm certain everyone will be trying their hardest as we draw closer to the final" Yajima smiled as the wizards began to leave the arena

The second day of the games is over, will Ayoko be able to do better in tomorrow's challenge? Or will her dream to becoming a famous wizard be shattered?...
