"Welcome back to another day of the Kingdom Hall Games, its a beautiful day and the crowd is buzzing with excitement" Chapati began

"Indeed Chapati, I myself feel the same way I cannot wait to see what the young wizards will show us today" Yajima smiled

"Well we won't need to wait much longer as its almost time for the third game to begin" Chapati smiled back

Kiyoshi screwed his face up as his dad ruffled his hair, his parents had been asking him all morning if he was alright and last night his mother had constantly checked on him when he was trying to read his books.

"Do your best" Jellal smiled as he gave his son an encouraging hug

"Thanks dad" Kiyoshi half smiled back "Where's mum?" he asked

"She's with Mira and Lucy, I thought it best it was just me and you"

"Yeah I think that is best" Kiyoshi agreed, his mum had worried about him on the journey here which had caused him to become rather annoyed with her, he hated being fussed over. He wasn't a baby anymore, he was twelve!

"Is she alright? She's not mad with me is she?" he asked

"No, she was never mad with you to begin with, you just worried her" Jellal assured him

"I'm really sorry about that, I forgot you guys were watching" Kiyoshi put his head down, feeling guilty he'd made his parents worry so much

"There's no need for anymore apologise, you did really well, it should be us saying sorry to you, for not trusting you enough" Jellal kneeled down "I'm proud of you Kiyoshi, you make me very happy" he smiled

Kiyoshi lifted his head up to look at his father, "T-Thank you dad" the boy leaned forward and placed his arms around Jellal's broad shoulders "I love you" he whispered

"It's time, lets begin today's challenge by first welcoming back the wizards" Chapati began

"Love you to" Jellal whispered back before standing back up "Show them what a Fairy Tail wizard can do"

Kiyoshi nodded his head before turning and waving to his father as he made his way into the arena with his sister and the other competitors.

"The same rules apply, the game is not over until the time runs out no matter what happens" Chapati stressed "Today's game is called Scurry, a rather easy title, can you guess what might be waiting in the rooms for the wizards?" he asked

Ayoko smiled, knowing which God she would call upon, Kiyoshi looked up at his father, he gave a smile as the doors to the rooms slowly opened.

"Fairy Tail, Fairy Tail" the crowd chanted

"It seems most of the audience is supporting Fairy Tail today" Yajima pointed out

"This is so cooollllll" Jason yelled, jumping up onto his seat and almost falling off

The wizards began walking forward, Yuki turned and looked to her right, Katio was staring at her, his eyes dark. He smiled at her. Yuki felt her heart begin to race, fear washed over her as she looked in to the ravens deep orbs.

"Are you ready to plead for forgiveness...Yuki?" he asked, his voice low, just above a whisper

Yuki turned away, her heart now pounding viscously against her chest, what was this feeling? She thought to herself as she entered the room, she came to a stop just near the door. She brought her arm up and placed her hand over her chest, why did she suddenly feel so scared?

Slowly the doors closed behind the wizards, the clock began ticking down as the large screen in the centre of the arena flickered on.

"Today's game is called Scurry ladies and gentleman, were you able to guess what we put in the rooms with the wizards?" Chapati asked "Well for those who did not, it is rats, but not normal rats, these beast are ten times bigger than the ordinary kind. They are very powerful and very vicious, what will the wizards do when they come face to face with such a beast?"

Ayoko stood to the right of the room, she had already summoned Hera to her side knowing before hand what it was that would be placed in the room with her. The Goddess stood beside the young wizard in her long cream dress.

"What do you wish me to do?" Hera asked as three large black rats came into view

Ayoko looked over to her left, she did not flinch from seeing the creatures. She remained calm and composed as she thought about what she wanted her Goddess to transform into.

"Lion, Hera I want you to be a Lion"

The Goddess hesitated, she turned her head around "Are you sure?" she asked

"Uhm" Ayoko was a little taken aback by her Goddess sudden concern

The large tails of the rats began to sway, their jaws stretched open, exposing their sharp, yellow teeth.

Ayoko swallowed hard as she came to the realization of how strong these beast were, she scanned over her thoughts, trying to think of something that was strong enough to defeat these monsters

"It's seems Ayoko has called up on her Goddess Hera but she doesn't look very confident" Chapati pointed out

"She seems quite bewildered" Yajima commented

Yuki waited for the game to begin, she listened out for movement, but there wasn't any sounds in the dark room other than her own beating heart,was it something she could not see? She wondered to herself.

A sudden stench of death blocked her airways, the blonde placed her hand over her mouth and nose as she tried grabbing fresh air that was not intoxicated by the smell.

What was that smell? Was this part of the game? Why would they create something so foul smelling? Thoughts raced through the girls mind as she wondered closer to the stench, she suddenly began hearing flies.

Yuki felt her foot sink into something soft, moist but warm, she looked down to see what she had stood in. Her eyes widened as she saw her boot had sunk into the rotting flesh of a large rat. The blonde began to chock, she stumbled backwards and fell onto another rat's corpse, she screamed as she pulled her hands out of the rotting flesh.

What was going on? Why were they dead? Was she dreaming? She asked herself, she quickly pulled herself up and turned back around to go back the way she had come but she found she couldn't.

"What? What is this?" she asked allowed, she couldn't see anything but darkness in front of her.

The young blonde reached out her blood stained hands, searching for a wall but she could feel nothing but air. Her heart began to race, her breathing deepened as she frantically searched for a way out, tears began filling her blue eyes as she tried desperately to reach a wall.

Yuki gasped as she felt something touch her arm, she stopped moving and brought her arms back in towards her.

"H-Hello?" she called as she heard someone breathing "W-Who's there?" she asked

Katio knelt down on his right knee, having defeat the three large rats in his room with one quick swift attack he had begun his own personal game. The dark wizard rested his hands on the stone wall which was the barrier between him and Yuki's room, he smiled as he felt the girls fear.

"I warned you" he whispered

"It seems were having a few issues with Yuki and Katio's screen, we do apologise we are trying to resolve the problem" Chapati apologised to the audience

"Lion, Hera a lion...!" Ayoko yelled as the large rats raced towards them

The Goddess suddenly transformed into the four legged mammal which Ayoko had asked her to be. Hera raced towards the creatures, she roared and showed her large, sharp teeth but the rats were not effected a bit by the growling, four legged mammal

Ayoko moved back as Hera jumped onto one of the rats backs, piercing the rats skin but that didn't stop the large rodent running towards Ayoko. The wizard began to panic, her choice had been wrong, a lion was to small.

Ayoko ran to her left, missing the rats fanged teeth by inches. Hera growled as she dived forward and wrapped her arms around the rats neck, she bit the rodent over and over again, blood poured and soaked the creatures black fur, but still Hera's attacks did not stop or slow the beast

"Hera" Ayoko called out "Hera I want you t-"

Suddenly the rat skidded to a stop sending Hera flying forward, Ayoko screamed as her Goddess's body fell to the floor, the wizard felt the impact. The large rodent raced over to the lion, it started clawing at the mammals body, Ayoko gasped for air as she felt the connection between her and Hera starting to fade.

"H-Hold on, hold on Hera, I'll get help" Ayoko called out, she reached into her pocket, her hands shaking as she pulled out the bottle which her water God, Posedion had given her

The rats turned in sync with one another, seeing the wizard struggling to hold the small bottle. They lifted their claws away from Hera's torn body and raced over to Ayoko. The girl struggled to open the lid to the bottle, to focused on opening the small top she didn't noticed she had become the target of the crazed rodents

"Come on" she begged, the bottle suddenly slipped from her hands and went rolling across the floor, "My bottle" she dived for it

Ayoko turned as she felt the walls around her shudder, the Goddess had dived in front of the young wizard, preventing the large rats from attacking the girl. Both the rodents and the Goddess lay on the ground.

"HERA!" she screamed as she crawled over towards her God

Hera was no longer in her lion form as she lay still on the dusty, dry floor

"Hera, Hera" Ayoko repeated, tears filled her eyes "W-What did you do?"

"You were in danger, you didn't see them coming towards you, I had no choice"

Ayoko began crying as she realized how stupid she had been, she should have never let her guard down.

"I'm sorry" she sobbed

Hera smiled and shook her head, she took a hold the girls small hand. "It's alright Ayoko"

"It's not, I can hardly feel your presence"

"But I'm still here which means you have enough magic to end this"

Ayoko caught her breathe as she wiped her eyes, she looked down at Hera

"W-What do you mean?" she asked

"You can still feel me which means I can still fight, just tell me what you want me to do"

"No, no your injured, I can't ask anything of you, not when you're in this state"

"Ayoko! You want to get to the final don't you, you want to be a famous wizards right?"

"Y-Yes..."

"Then don't let this effect you, don't let this experience stop you, believe in yourself, believe in your magic, you can do this"

Ayoko nodded her head lightly, though her heart was heavy and her mind muddled. Her Goddess's words gave her courage and hope, she couldn't give up, she had already come this far, if she gave up now all the training and hard work she had done would have been for nothing.

"O-Ok" she mumbled "Please, please help me defeat these beast...Hera"

The bleeding Goddess smiled and lightly nodded her head once before slowly sitting up. Her hand slipped from Ayoko's as she pulled herself up on to her feet. The giant rodents turned their heads, their beaded dark eyes targeted the Goddess once more, all three beast quickly raced forward to attack the injured victim.

Ayoko stepped back as her Goddess began to glow, the young wizard could feel Hera pulling the magic strength from her, Ayoko steadier her breathing as she allowed the God to take all she needed for this final attack.

Slowly Hera began to transform, the three large rats came to a shuddering stop as Hera's body turned into scales, her neck grew longer, as to did her arms, The rodents began to cower down as Hera transformed in to a fire breathing dragon. Ayoko smiled as Hera opened her eyes, she glanced down at her prey who had now begun to run away from her.

"Kill them Hear, Kill them all" Ayoko ordered, her voice steady and calm

The huge red scaled dragon stormed forward, its large clawed feet shook the ground causing the rats to loose their balance. Hera brought her neck down, her jaw opened as she locked onto her target. The rats squealed as the dragon blew fire, scorching red flames burned through the rats black fur. Hera took another breath before releasing another wave of hot fire, the creatures were dead within moments.

"Wow...! Cooollllll, a fire breathing dragon!" Jason screamed in excitement

Yajima smiled and laughed lightly "She is always surprising us, though I was hoping she would use a different God, that aside Ayoko has done very well"

"These challenges are almost mind blowing, just when you think you may have saw all you can the young wizards show us more, yes Yakima I think a lot of us wanted to see another one of Aykoo's God's but this one alone is truly amazing!" Chapati added

Ayoko slumped against the wall, her body was exhausted. Hera raced forward as the young girl collapsed to the floor, now in her human form the Goddess held the child in her arms. She brushed Ayoko's purple hair away from her eyes and smiled down at her. The young girl rested in her Goddess arms, her eyes closed and her glowing tattoo slowly began to fade

"You did well" Hera whispered

Kiyoshi raised both of his hands, the rats snarled at him as they tried to get through the racing wind he had placed between them. The young wizard's tattoo was glowing brightly, his grey eyes wide as he stared at his enemy. He had create a small tornado in the centre of the room, the wind had brought up the dust from the floor which had caused a cloud of smoke to fill the room. The rats raced back and forth to try and find an opening across towards Kiyoshi but there was none, he had made sure there was no way the rats would be able to touch him. The rodents began to get angry, one had raced into the swirling wind only to be pushed back by the force, it lay injured against one of the walls.

"Just two minutes remaining, can all of the wizards make it through? We are sorry about the blurry vision to Yuki and Katio's room, we are still trying to sort out the problem" Chapati apologised once more

"Help, someone help me!" Yuki cried

Darkness had surrounded her, she could see nothing. The only thing she was sure of was that someone or something was watching her. Tears stung her eyes as she cried out in desperation.

"Why won't you help me? Please, please someone" she begged through breathless sobs

Yuki spun around as she heard laughter, she looked from left to right but saw nothing. The air around her suddenly begun to get colder, her body began to shiver.

"H-Hello?" she called out again, hoping and praying the stone wall would open and she could once again see daylight

There was no reply to her call, the room fell silent once more. Yuki trembled with fear, she was terrified and felt alone. She slowly went to step forward but was suddenly grabbed from behind, she screamed as she was pulled to the floor. The young girl struggled against the person who stood over her. She could feel the weight of a man on top of her, she struggled to see through the pitch, black darkness.

"P-Please, please stop" she begged

The man moved, Yuki remained motionless for a moment before slowly leaning up on her right arm. She went to call out but no sound parted from her perfect pink lips as she stared straight ahead. There in the darkness were a pair of glowing red felt her body become numb as a figure formed around the crimson eyes. The young wizard's lips trembled as the shape took form. Silent tears rolled down her burning red cheeks. The unknown figure before her growled, the sound echoed around the dark room, Yuki tried hopelessly to call out but fear had crippled her, she was at the figures mercy, she closed her eyes tight as it launched towards her.

"We seem to have lost all sight on Yuki's room" Chapati stared at the blank screen in confusion

"I do hope she is alright" Yajima spoke out, the concern in his voice fierce

Kiyoshi lowered his left hand, the wind continued to swirl around the centre of the room. The large rodents snapped their jaws at the wizard but Kiyoshi was not effected by it, he believed in his magic, therefore he knew that he would beat these vile creatures.

Large rocks of ice began forming in the wizards hands, Kiyoshi remained focused on the beasts as he created hail stones in the palm of his hands. With one swift movement he brought down his right hand. The tornado quickly disappeared, the rats had no time to react as Kiyoshi threw the hail stones directly at the creatures, the rats cried out in pain as the hard ice en-paled them. The beasts fell to the ground, their wounded bodies crashing into the hard, stoned floor. Kiyoshi brought his hands back down to his sides, retreating his attacks on the rodents as they lay bleeding. Unable to move from such a forceful attack.

"Time's up, lets open those walls" Chapati smiled as the clock buzzed

Erza and Jellal leaned over the side as the stone walls lifted up, one by one the wizards appeared. Ayoko, who was now awake slowly made her way out of her room. The suns light was almost blinding, she smiled and waved to the cheering crowd.

Kiyoshi glanced over to his left, his brow furrowed as he realized Yuki had not come out of her room. He began making his way towards the opening of the room, he saw Katio looking over at him. The raven haired boy smiled at the Fairy Tail wizard. Kiyoshi felt his heart skip a beat.

"Yuki..."

Kiyoshi raced forward into Yuki's room. He came to a skating stop as he saw her body laying motionless on the ground, her clothes were torn, blood oozed from fresh cuts which covered her entire body.

"Y-Yuki..." he called out, his voice shaking

Kiyoshi kneeled beside her and gently turned her over towards him, Yuki's eyes flicked but did not open.

"Kiyoshi..." she whispered, small tears trickled down from the corners of her eyes

Ayoko raced into the room along with Mira, Wendy and Chelia. The medics had been on stand by just in case something had gone wrong and it had, Yuki was in a critical state. Mira wrapped a blanket around the child and lifted her into her arms. Wendy and Chelia began to heal the girl imminently as Mira carried her out of the room, Ayoko and Kiyoshi followed behind, the crowd gasped as Yuki was brought out into the arena.

"L-Ladies and gentlemen, children...It seems Yuki from Blue Pegasus h-has been injured terribly. T-The rats were not defeated" Chapati stuttered, "S-She will be withdrawn from the game" he added

"She didn't get defeated by those rats" Kiyoshi clenched his fist and turned towards Katio "It was you, you did this to her!"

The raven haired twin stood with his arms causally resting either side of him, a evil smirk curled up on his lips.

"I warned her but she didn't listen"

"There was no reason to hurt her like that! You bastard, you took her chance away" Kiyoshi growled

Katio's smirk grew, his eyes widened "And soon I'll take yours away from you"

"I'm going to kill you...!" Kiyoshi launched toward him

Ayoko quickly grabbed her brother, restraining his arms and holding him back, Kiyoshi fought against her.

"No Kiyoshi, that's what he wants you to do, if you hit him here you'll only get yourself in to trouble" Ayoko warned

"I don't care, I don't care he hurt Yuki" Kiyoshi screamed, tears filling his light grey eyes

"It's cute when you get all emotional" Yori smiled as he stood at his brothers side "There's nothing more rewarding that seeing a wizard like you get beaten down" he teased

Kiyoshi looked up, his vision slightly blurred from his tears. He stood up straight, no longer fighting against his sisters hold, he brought his bottom lip in and bit down on it

"Let's check the results" Chapati glanced up at the large screen in the centre of the arena

Katio: 6

Yori: 5

Yuki: Withdrawn

Ayoko: 6

Kiyoshi: 9

"It seems Kiyoshi did very well in that round" Yajima pointed out

"The Fairy Tail wizards are amazing! It's so cool...!" Jason cried

"Yes they are all truly incredible, sadly Yuki will not be making it to the final day" Chapati added "With today's scores added, this is how the score board is looking"

Katio: 21

Yori: 16

Ayoko: 16

Kiyoshi: 22

"It seems Katio has lost his lead as Kiyoshi gains a one point lead over him, Yori and Ayoko are level with their scores" Chapati pointed out

"The points are so close its hard to know who will be victorious" Yajima added

The stone built arena echoed with cheers from the supporting crowd, neither Kiyoshi nor Ayoko felt happy about their scores, all they were concerned about was their friend Yuki.

Katio and Yori wondered out of the arena to their right while Kiyoshi and Ayoko made their way to the medical room. Both siblings remained quite as they walked the hall in silence. Ayoko searched for words to comfort her brother but she had none, she came to a stop. Kiyoshi turned and looked at her, he titled his head wondering why she had suddenly stopped. Ayoko reached out to him and pulled him into her arms, hugging him tightly. Kiyoshi was surprise by the gesture and stood motionless for a while in Ayoko's warm arms before he hugged her back. He rested his head on her shoulder as he allowed the tears inside him to escape, he sobbed quietly as he gripped his sisters jacket.

It seemed Katio had no boundaries when it came to hurting others, he would do it anywhere and at anytime. Even if it meant taking away a wizard's chance to become something greater. Kiyoshi had been so concerned about Yori that he had forgotten the real demon.

Kiyoshi held tightly to his sister as he tried to piece his thoughts together. By using his power he was able to hear messages from the stars about the Wolfclaw twins but the more he had asked the twinkling sapphire sky the more he had come to realise that Katio's soul was drowning further and further into despair. Maybe the dark wizard was to far gone for him to save...?
