Ayoko stumbled backwards as Yori raced towards her, she glanced over to Katio who was quickly approaching her also.

"Wait!" she cried

"No!" Kiyoshi grabbed Yori by the arm

The white haired wizard glanced behind him, Kiyoshi froze as he gazed in the teens eyes. Yori thumped Kiyoshi in the chest causing the blue haired teen to fall to the ground.

"Kiyoshi!" Ayoko cried as she skidded to a stop

She had put some distance behind her and Yori, but now the white haired wizard was gaining on her once more. Ayoko began to panic, her thoughts were muddled as Yori started to glow green.

"You're mine Ayoko" Yori hissed as he swiped his hand through the air

A huge green light appeared around him, it was almost blinding. Ayoko covered her eyes with her arm and dug her heels into the sand as she was pushed back by the wind which was caused by Yori's magic.

"Yori!" Katio growled, his fists clenched as he approached his brother "Stop, you're to weak to take her on!"

Kiyoshi rushed to his feet, he skidded to a stop in front of the raven. Catching his breath he glared at the teen. Katio stopped in his tracks.

"You're not worth my time" He looked at Kiyoshi, not amused

Ayoko glanced up to see a huge white tiger beside Yori, the white haired wizard had called upon Bakeneko, his best and only friend.

"Animal magic...?" Ayoko questioned

"Ha, not even close to a good guess" Yori laughed

Ayoko stepped backwards as Yori drew closer to her, Bakeneko lowered his head and dug his claws into the soft, warm sand.

"Get ready to be beaten by me, Ayoko." Yori smirked before he ordered his tiger to attack her

Ayoko dived out of the way, her face crashed into the sandy floor. She buried her hands into the sand, stopping herself from skidding further. Ayoko turned, her white ribbon loosening. Yori laughed and re-positioned himself. Bakeneko glared at her like prey.

"Come on, you're not even trying" Yori complained "At least fight back, its not like you to run away, Ayoko."

"Fight me!" Kiyoshi demanded as he glared at Katio

The raven haired wizard let out a small sigh and shook his head

"You're not worth it" he flicked his hand through the air

Kiyoshi's brow creased, not understanding what Katio had just done. The watching crowd screamed as a ear piercing cry filled the air. Lucy ducked and cried, Natsu got to his feet as he watched the winged creature descend down towards Kiyoshi.

"Watch out!" Natsu cried

Kiyoshi glanced up, before he could even call upon his magic he was swept off his feet and into the air. The crowd gasped while Katio smiled, giving a little wave to the blue haired wizard as he was carried away by the Harpy.

"To easy" he mumbled and turned his attention to Yori and Ayoko "Yori, stop" the raven demanded

Yori turned and looked at his brother, his tiger did the same. Yori frowned and gritted his teeth, his fists clenched and Bakeneko started to growl.

"No!" he yelled and turned back around, "Kill her!" he ordered Bakeneko

Ayoko lifted her head, seeing the racing tiger coming right for her. Katio hissed in annoyance and started to storm over towards his brother.

"Ayoko!" Erza cried as Bakeneko pounced into the air

Ayoko closed her eyes and coward down, a bright light filled the arena. Katio turned around to see Kiyoshi behind him with a crushed Harpy under him.

"H-How...?" the raven questioned with wide eyes

Kiyoshi slowly stood, his feet rested on the back of the Harpy's bony back, its feather wings were spread out either side of its body. It's clawed hands twitched, weakly trying to grab a hold of something that would help it to its feet.

"You underestimated me" Kiyoshi replied and stepped off the crushed Harpy

Katio growled through clenched teeth, he placed out his hands either side of him. Dark strands began to form around his fingers, Kiyoshi's tattoo across his eyes began to glow as he prepared himself.

"Kill her!" Yori screamed

Bakeneko bit down on the protecting Goddess's arm, Hera held her breath and used her strength to push the large tiger back.

"Ayoko..." Hera called

Ayoko opened her scared eyes to see her God over her, blood poured from her open wound and onto Ayoko's white shirt.

"Hera!" Ayoko cried and knelt up "You're hurt"

"Kill them both!" Yori demanded, the green light at his feet glowed brightly

The connection between the boy and the tiger grew stronger as the light grew brighter.

"It's nothing" Hera smiled

Bakeneko bit his fanged teeth further into Hera's wound, the Goddess whimpered slightly from the pain but could not hold back her voice as she cried out in pain.

"Ayoko you need to fight back" the God told her "Get up!"

Ayoko trembled but listened to her Goddess, she felt weak at the knees from all the blood which soaked her shirt and the sand below her feet.

"Hera..." Ayoko mumbled, her voice shaking

"It's alright, ignore my injures. Tell me what you want me to do"

"A b-bear, change into a bear" she ordered the Goddess

Before Hera could change Bakeneko took her into his mouth and threw her into the stone wall which surrounded the arena.

"Hera!" Ayoko cried and raced over towards her God

"Ayoko watch out!" Erza screamed as Bakeneko came racing towards the young wizard

"No!" Kiyoshi cried out, he pushed his hands away from his chest, causing a huge gust of wind

Bakeneko went flying into the concrete wall, Kiyoshi raced over to his sisters side. Yori went to Bakeneko's aid.

Ayoko was leaning over her injured God, crying and apologizing.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Hera"

"Ayoko" Kiyoshi knelt down beside his sister

"I- I don't know what happened, I just freaked out. I couldn't think, my body froze" Ayoko confessed through tears

Kiyoshi placed his hand upon his sisters shoulder, Hera turned over and faced the twins

"I got so scared I couldn't even call any of my God's and now Hera is hurt because of me" Ayoko sobbed

Katio stormed over towards his brother, Yori was holding Bakeneko's paw as Katio punched him in the face.

"I told you to stand back" Katio hissed and landed another punch on his brother

Bakeneko growled but soon backed down as Katio glared the large beast in the eyes, Yori fell to his knees as he held his pounding cheek.

"No!" Yori defied his brother "I don't want to be seconded best to you anymore, I want to be your equal!"

"You will never be my equal!" Katio's eyes narrowed "You're worth nothing!"

Yori glanced up to his brother, his eyes misted with tears, he bared down on his bottom lip to stop them from falling. He swallowed down hard, pushing away his brothers words. He shook his head and got to his feet.

Katio lowered his right hand, dark strings began to dance around his fingers. He lowered his head as the strands around his digits grew darker and longer.

Bakeneko coward down, Yori stepped backwards and placed his hand upon his tigers right shoulder. Katio lips curled into a cruel smile.

"I should have gotten rid of you years ago, someone like you shouldn't bare the tattoo of the wolf"

Katio drew his hand back, he was about to draw it forward again and attack his younger brother but stopped when he felt cold droplets fall on to his cheek, he glanced up, it was raining.

"Rain...?" he questioned aloud, he turned his head

Kiyoshi was stood meters away from him, the tattoo over his right eye was glowing brightly. The rain above began to fall quicker and faster, soon the sandy floor began to flood. Katio hissed and spun around, he pushed his hand forward, throwing his attack on to the blue haired wizard.

Ayoko dived forward and placed her hand into the puddle between her brothers feet, the ground suddenly began to rumble, the crowd looked at one another as they held onto their seats. Katio's eyes grew wide as a man appeared from the watery puddle, he had a long white beard, his feet had been replaced with a fish tale. The raven stepped backwards, the large man balled his large fist and smashed Katio's dark shadow away, the dark attack went smashing into the wall, causing a huge hole in the concrete.

Katio hissed and brought both of his hands together, dark smoke began to form in his palms. Kiyoshi opened his eyes and glanced over at Ayoko who was stood beside her God, Poseidon. She smiled at him before turning back towards the raven.

"No fish man is going to defeat me!" Katio spat, the smoke from his palm began to outline his small figure

"No!" Yori grabbed his brother and pushed him back

Katio spun around, stepping back a little so as to gain his balance.

"Don't get in the way!" Katio warned

"His not just a fish guy Katio, his the God of the sea!" Yori frowned

"So! I can take on anyone, he doesn't scare me!" Katio pulled his arm out of his siblings grip and focused once more on channeling his magic.

Kiyoshi took a breath, he stayed connected to the stars, focusing on his magic, the more rain he gave to his sisters God the better chance they had at defeating the Wolfclaw twins.

"It's been a while Ayoko" Poseidon looked down at the young girl "You've grown quite a bit" he smiled

Ayoko smiled back, she felt much more confident with the water God by her side

"Now remember not to over do it" Poseidon warned her "You use quite a lot of magic when we are together and Hera was injured which means you're hurt to"

"I know...but I can't give up, I have to try my hardest"

"Very well then, lets see how much you remember since we last trained together"

Yori glanced over at his brother who had his eyes closed, Katio was so absorbed in channeling his magic he was unaware of Ayoko's building attack upon him.

The white haired wizard cried out and raced in front of his brother, his entire body glowed green as he placed out his arm, sheltering his brother.

"Attack!" Ayoko cried

Poseidon created large waves from the puddles of water that surrounded him and Ayoko, the God lifted his right hand and held the giant waves for a moment before he blasted them forward, steering them right towards Katio.

Yori called upon his magic and before the waves could hit him and his brother the water was suddenly absorbed by three tallied beauties, mermaids.

"Mermaids?..How has he got mermaids?" Ayoko questioned

"Don't get distracted Ayoko, stay focused on your goal" Poseidon snapped

Ayoko shook away her wondering thoughts, she turned to her brother and called to him to give her more rain. Kiyoshi gave a small nod, he placed his left hand up into the sky, he lowered all but his first and index finger. He took a deep breath in before exhaling, the small droplets that poured down grew bigger. The crowd were getting soaked by the magic storm. The wind howled angrily which caused Ayoko to lose her footing a little.

"Not wind Kiyoshi" she complained to her brother

The blue haired wizard didn't hear his sister words, he was so absorbed in his magic he could hardly hear anything other than the falling rain around him. His head started becoming fuzzy and the whisper of the stars grew stronger, he lowered his arm as his body suddenly began to rock, his legs became weaker.

"Kiyoshi no more wind" Ayoko called again as she sheltered her face with her arm

"Attack him!" Yori ordered his mermaids

The three tailed women turned, their voice screeched as they raced towards the God, the rain helping them to move through the air.

"Foolish child, do you not known the rules of the sea" Poseidon frowned as he withdrew his trident

The mermaids stopped just before they reached the God, Poseidon aimed his three headed fork towards the tailed creatures.

"Attack, attack him!" Yori screamed

Two of the mermaids listened to their master and attacked the giant fish man, Poseidon blasted them away with one swift flick of his trident. Yori stepped back as his other mermaid came racing towards him, he cried for her to fight but she was earful of the water God.

Before the mermaid could reach Yori, Poseidon created another wave, Ayoko mirrored her God's moves. She hadn't noticed her brother's deterioration, Ayoko pushed her hands forward as to did Poseidon. The large waves went crashing towards the mermaid. Yori was frozen on the spot and unable to move as the large wave came straight towards him. Without instruction Bakeneko raced to his master's side. The large tiger pushed Yori out of the way. The white haired wizard fell backwards into the damp sand as the large wave swept his tiger and the mermaid up. Ayoko steered the water into the wall, smashing Yori's magical creatures into the grey stone.

"Bakeneko!" Yori screamed as his mermaid disappeared and his tiger fell to the floor "Bakeneko!" he cried again and quickly got to his feet, he raced over to his friend as the tiger slowly began to fade away "No, no!"

"Ayoko..." Kiyoshi called as he opened his eyes

Ayoko tuned to see her brother falling to the floor, "Kiyoshi!" she cried as she leaped forward with her arms out, catching him before he hit the ground

"Kiyoshi" Ayoko brushed her brother blue hair from his now half closed eyes, his tattoo had lost its glow and the rain slowly began to die down

"You asked him for to much Ayoko" Poseidon told her

Kiyoshi's eyes slowly closed, exhausted he fell into a deep sleep. Ayoko held her brother tightly

"I'm sorry..." she apologized, her voice barley above a whisper

"I'll show you how to defeat a God!" Katio opened his eyes, the shadows around him caused the earth under him to shake

Yori glanced up from hugging his tiger, his light eyes were filled with tears. The white haired wizard felt pathetic now, he had tried to keep Katio safe from Poseidon but all he had done was get his creatures hurt, Katio was right, he was weak.

Poseidon turned his head as Katio lifted his left hand and expanded his arm, his lips curled in to a small, dark smile. Ayoko looked to her God, she didn't want to let go of her brother but knew Poseidon needed the whole of her body so he could move around.

"Vanish!" Katio pointed his index finger out to the water God causing several dark strands to fire out. They went flying straight towards Poseidon. Ayoko gently placed her brother on the damp sand, kissing his cold cheek before she stood up, the battle was no over yet.

Poseidon defended him and Ayoko against Katio's attack, the raven laughed in amusement before sending another load of dark strands towards the two. This time they landed around Poseidon and Ayoko, as they hit the dirt the ground shook. And within moments dark shadow began to rise from the damp earth.

"What is this?" Ayoko questioned as she realized her and Poseidon were surrounded

"Unsettled spirits" the God told her

"Unsettled spirits?" Ayoko repeated

Katio glanced over towards his brother, his smile grew. Without even looking at his two targets he swished his outstretched finger through the air which caused the smoke around him to become darker, the shadowy spirits grew taller.

"Defeat them" Ayoko told her God, she lifted her arm and slashed it through the air

Poseidon mirrored her actions, he lifted his hand which held the trident and slashed it through the air, the gold fork went straight through the spirits. Nothing happened.

"Again" Ayoko ordered and repeated her action

Katio watched in amusement, he slowly brought his arm down only to bring it up again. The smoke which surrounded him gathered together in a large cloud.

Ayoko repeated the action again and again but each time her water God copied her the same thing would happen, the trident would go straight through the shadows.

"Why isn't it working...?!" she looked to her water God who was growing angry

She could feel him pulling at her, draining the magic power she had inside of her. She ignored her aching bones and throbbing head. Poseidon stabbed and smashed his trident into, over and through the shadows, still it did not work.

"You dare defy me!" he bellowed as he lifted his arm up, his trident began to glow

"Poseidon" Ayoko called, sounding almost breathless as the straining pull of her God caused her vision to become blurred

The water God aimed his trident at the shadows, lightning bolts shot from each of the three ends of the golden fork. Before a hit was made the water God was suddenly surrounded by dark smoke, his vision became clouded.

"Ayoko?" Poseidon called out as he felt himself suddenly become weak

There was no more rain, he had not realized the burning suns presences. The dark smoke cloud quickly began absorbing the moisture in the air, Poseidon began to feel himself fade away.

"Ayoko?" he called again, his eyes frantically searched for his master

The purple haired wizard was lay on the ground beside her brother, her eyes were closed. In her hand was the little water bottle he had given her. She had tried to release the seahorse inside but she had grown to weak and had ended up fainting just like her brother. The water God sighed and shook his head, he placed his large hand upon her head and smiled.

"You pushed yourself to far..." and with those last words the water God faded away

The thick black cloud slowly began to disappeared, the shadows which Katio had set upon Ayoko and her God lay defeated, Poseidon's lightning attack had made a direct hit on them and had worked. Not that it mattered now, Katio placed down his hand and glanced over to the clock which was being displayed in the centre of the arena.

4...3...2...1...Times up...!

The timer sounded but the crowd remained silent, stunned by such an amazing battle. It took a few moments before they stood and began waving their flags and began cheering for the Wolfclaw guild.

"Wow, wow, wow!" Jason cried "That was so cooollllll...!" he added

"The first match is over..." Chapati blinked, hardly believing it had ended with Ayoko and Kiyoshi being defeated. He shook his head and quickly composed himself "Ladies and gentlemen, it seems the Wolfclaw twins, I mean Katio has defeated Fairy Tail, it was rather a close match but it seemed both Ayoko and Kiyoshi ended up using to much of their magic"

"Yes, they really did push themselves to far" Yajima commented

"They certainly did but it still wasn't enough, Wolfclaw gets the points" Chapati replied

Wolfclaw: 10

Fairy Tail: 0

Erza gritted her teeth and clenched her fists, her dark eyes glared down at the raven haired boy.

"Kiyoshi and Ayoko were much stronger, they battled harder than those Wolfclaw boys" she hissed

Jellal placed his arm around his love and pulled her in, resting her head upon him.

"They did" he agreed "But they came on to strong, to fast and because of that Katio was able to reserve his power" he explained

Erza's eyes had misted with tears, tears from sadness that her babies had not been victorious and from Jellal's words. She understood his point, Ayoko and Kiyoshi had rushed into their battle without really thinking over their competitors magic.

The scarlet haired mother gave a small nod and blinked away her tears, her eyes shifted to her babies who had now woken up thanks to the help of Wendy and Cheria.

"Besides...they still have tomorrow and the day after to turn things around" Jellal added with a smile

"Yes...they do" Erza agreed

Jellal lowered his arm and took the beauty's hand in his "Let's go" he guided Erza through the crowds of people and down towards their babies.

Kiyoshi and Ayoko were sat upon the sand with Wendy and Cheria either side of them, the children looked up as their parents came over. Ayoko lowered her head and bit her lower lip. She had lost, lost to the Wolfclaw twins, after all she had said and promised, she was unable to defeat them. Ayoko felt her eyes begin to water, she bit down on her lip a little harder, in an effort to stop the small, wet droplets from falling.

The arena was almost empty, with only a handful of people left in the stands. The three judges had taken their leave and the Wolfclaw twins had left after hearing they had won the round.

Kiyoshi rubbed his eyes, blinking he glanced up at his parents, he gave them a small smile which they returned. Wendy and Cheria explained the two children were better now but that they needed to rest.

"They shouldn't really use their magic" Wendy advised

Erza and Jellal nodded in agreement, understanding that the twins would need to reserve any energy they had.

"Thank you" Jellal smiled

"It was nothing" Cheria waved her hand, she turned to Wendy "We should get back to the medical bay" she told the blunette

Wendy nodded and stood, she told the twins to take care before leaving with Cheria. Erza thanked the two wizards once more before turning and looking down at Ayoko who had not looked up at her once.

Jellal exchanged looks with his lover before kneeling down in front of his children, Kiyoshi looked over at Ayoko who was still holding the little bottle with the seahorse inside.

"Why don't we go and get some ice cream?" Jellal suggested "We can even go and check out the Carnival" he added

This seemed to spark some interest in Kiyoshi but Ayoko remained with her head down. Jellal extended his hand out to his daughter, placing it just above the bottle she was staring down at.

"Come on" he encouraged "Your God's would not want you to be sat here crying"

Ayoko slowly lifted her head, her large brown eyes filled with tears. Erza knelt down beside Jellal and placed her hand on her daughters leg.

"I-I failed them, I failed you...I failed myself" Ayoko sobbed, her tears falling

"No" Erza shook her head and smiled "You didn't fail anyone Ayoko"

"Things may have not gone the way you had hoped today but that doesn't mean you should be putting yourself down, you were able to hold back Katio's attacks, the only reason he won was because you had used all your magic energy from using Hera"

"But, but" Ayoko tried to argue back

"Your magic was being drained from Hera being hurt but still you carried on fighting, you never gave up until the very end. I'm proud of what I saw you do today" Erza smiled and gently wiped away her daughters tears

"Your mothers right" Jellal smiled "You're a very strong wizard Ayoko, don't ever doubt your efforts"

Ayoko sniffled, her tears now gone. Her parents words had dampened her pain, she smiled and wiped her eyes.

"T-Thank you...mum, dad" she tuned to her brother "Thank you for being by my side" she added

Kiyoshi smiled back at her, his small dimples showing either side of his mouth.

"Now how about some of that ice cream?" Jellal raised his eye brow

Ayoko and Kiyoshi jumped to their feet, the pair now feeling much better from their parents words. Ayoko took her mother's hand while Kiyoshi took his father's, the four slowly headed out of the stadium together into the festival filled town, leaving the days battle behind them but not the memories and lessons it had given them.
