Author's Note:
Greetings all and welcome to another chapter. I said last time that this one would be about McCoy and Chekov but as I wrote it I realised it was pretty similar to what I've written before so I've done a Spock chapter instead. Thank you for your continued support and I hope you like the chapter.
I do not own Star Trek.

Spock waited patiently to be beamed back to the Enterprise.
The USS Mayflower had made a brand new discovery and had requested some more science team members to assist in its study and cataloguing. The Enterprise had been nearby and the Admiralty had asked Spock to take a few members of his own science department and assist the Mayflower while his own ship continued its survey of a nearby system. The study had taken several days and while it had been both exciting and enlightening for Spock's team they were glad to finally be able to return to their own ship. They were waiting on the transport pads as a few final things were checked before they were beamed back to the Enterprise. The transport engineer indicated that they were ready and the Mayflower's Captain gave Spock a grateful nod, "Thank you for your assistance Commander, I'll see if I can get my science team to pass any further findings onto you."
"Thank you Captain Janet, I believe I will find any future findings most interesting."
"No doubt you will Mr Spock and I hope Jim and the rest enjoy the package we're sending over to them."
"I am certain they will Captain."
Spock had no doubt about that as it looked like the package (which was the size of a large crate) contained a large amount of real chocolate sent by a certain two admirals to replenish the Enterprise's now diminished stock. It also seemed to have a large box of cookies and what looked like a hand-knitted scarf for Jim from Winona, a couple of bottles of bourbon for Leonard from his parents, a bottle of the finest Islay Malt for Scotty, a box of home baking for Nyota from her parents, a unidentifiable package for Hikaru from his father and a huge parcel of sweets, baking and other such goods for Pavel from Archer, Pike, Winona, the rest of the Command Crew's families, the families of a few other crewmembers and Captain Janet (there was also another hand-knitted scarf which was from Winona as well and a few other items of knitted clothing which Spock had seen Captain Janet put in the previous night). Spock had already taken out his gifts which were a selection of teas he'd not yet tasted from Winona and a cake from Nyota's parents which Spock had found most satisfying when he'd visited them in the past. There was also a variety of gifts and such like for other crewmembers from their own families and friends.
Janet gave him a smile and signalled the transport engineer to start beaming them and then waved as they vanished from the pad.
When he re-materialised Spock was not expecting to be cannoned into and tightly hugged by Jim while the Captain loudly exclaimed, "Spock, you're finally back!"
The man suddenly seemed to remember that Vulcan's were not keen on physical contact and quickly released the Commander and looked at him with what appeared to be relief showing clearly on his face, "You have no idea how good it is that you're back. Things have been terrible while you've been away, Nyota has been really moody and she nearly chucked Hendorff through a wall yesterday, Hikaru tried to stop her and they ended up having an impromptu swordfight in the rec room and pretty much trashed the place, Scotty tried some crazy idea and somehow released an energy that caused all the engineers to spontaneously tap-dance, Pavel turned himself blue working on some experiment, Bones has been so grumpy because he can't argue with you that he's made four nurses, three ensigns, two engineers and a security officer cry and we're not entirely sure how to fix everything!"
Spock's eyebrow had risen higher and higher as Jim had spoken and he answered, "Captain I shall see to it all immediately."
In the end it didn't take long to fix everything and soon the Enterprise and her crew were once again functioning as they should be. As Spock turned in to sleep afterwards he made a mental promise that, for the safety of the ship, the Federation and possibly the galaxy, he would never leave the crew of the Enterprise without responsible adult supervision for a prolonged period of time ever again.
PS-I hope you guys liked that and I'll hopefully have another chapter up soon.
