Ross's POV, Moonbright Village
"Y-y-you trained another person to use Dragon Slayer Magic?" Everyone froze up the second they heard that come out of my mouth, hell I couldn't even believe it myself. At first I thought it was joke, but I recognized his scent, the same as mine. There was no doubt that this guy was a Snow Dragon Slayer, but the others standing with, I can't figure them out, somethings masking their scents.
"*Groans* Why? Why of all people did you have to be here?" Huh, now this is new. Bellaruse's aura, it feels…...cold, and before you ask, no, no pun intended. She was afraid. I haven't felt something like this since…
"*Sniffs* ah yes, dear sweet mother, I knew I recognized that scent. Although" said the man in the cloak, "i'm rather hurt that you're not happy to see me. I mean" Wait a minute he heard that?
"Of course he did human. I taught all of my students how to use Telepathy magic. It seemed easier than just wasting my breath. Well, that, and I didn't want anyone else catching wind about-" Bellaruse? You're hesitating, something you're not telling me? "I've said too much already"
"GOD DAMNIT BELLARUSE" I shouted at the top of my lungs, usually it takes top grade shit to piss me off. Getting to yell at your condescending, pessimistic teacher who literally makes everyday of your life a living hell: that's the dream! "YOU TELL ME WHAT THE HELL YOU WERE DOING WITH THESE GUYS RIGHT NOW!"
"Here let me help" said Gajeel, now frankly I don't see how this was gonna work, but Gajeel grabbed me by the collar of my jacket and began to shake me like I was a drink mixer "SPILL IT DRAGON! YOU'RE GONNA TELL US WHAT YOU KNOW, RIGHT NOW"
"Gajeel, stop! That isn't going to help" yelled Lucy/ She tried to pull Gajeel's arm off of my collar, but I think you can see how well that ent, but i'll explain anyway. Lucy grabbed and pulled Gajeel with all her might: Nothing. She wrapped her whip around his arm:Still nothing. Then she tried hanging off of his arm, guess what happened.
"Juvia agrees with Lucy." said Juvia, I swear it's really weird when she refers to herself in the third person "Juvia believes that brute force won't work in this situation" And I thought that was the end of it, but then Juvia made a look, "Perhaps we could try drowning her out"
"AHHHHHH no no no no no no, we're not doing that either" said Lucy, now struggling to try to keep both Juvia and Gajeel from trying to kill me.
Are there any sane members on this team, or are all of you completely oblivious to the obvious threat that's standing right in front of you. Speaking of which, I suggest you have Gajeel move three steps to the left.
"Huh, wait why three steps?" I asked.
"DID SHE SAY SOMETHING? TELL ME!" raged Gajeel, still holding a tight grasp on my collar, making me wish I was still trapped on the train. I swear compared to the nausea i'm feeling right now, the train pales in comparison.
"She *burps* wanted me to tell you…. to step three places to the left" I garbled.
"Why? What could stepping three steps to the left possibly-" Once Gajeel followed what I said, a giant ball of ice came flying by where Gajeel was originally standing.
"I'm guessing that's why"
I forgot to mention something about Nikolai human
"Who Bellaruse" I asked
"The one ranting up about his superiority above you. Apparently he didn't realize you four weren't listening to him while he was ranting on"
"HOW DARE YOU IGNORE ME YOU INSOLENT WORM!" He cried, all red in the face, "WHEN I GET DOWN THERE, I'M GONNA FREEZE YO TO YOUR VERY SOUL!"
"Master please, try to stay calm" said the copper haired girl, "If you don't you're gonna break another blood vessel."
"OH god, calm down there Aria." Another of the cloaked figures said, this one was a man, "If he did that everytime he got angry, then he'd be dead by now. IN fact, didn't you nearly get your head ripped off by bothering him during his meditation process?"
"Oh Jack, Master Nikolai wouldn't kill her." That one was a woman,and she was speaking in a somewhat envious tone, like she was jealous of that copper haired girl, "She's his favorite. He wouldn't be stupid enough to kill someone who's willing to do all the crap he orders her to do"
"Yeah, but she wouldn't know that" another guy, sound older too, "she's blinded by her love for the Master. I swear Aria, you're too damn sentimental."
"At least I HAVE emotions you souless sack of shit"
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but your words are gonna make me kill you"
"Juvia believes that they're a rather dysfunctional group of dark mages, wouldn't you agree Ross?" Just listening to that one conversation I could already tell that was an understatement. And this Snow Dragon Slayer has an even worse temper than mine and Bellaruse's combined. Luckily none of you have seen it yet, it usually takes something really BIG to let that side of me out.
"Will all of you just SHUT THE HELL UP!" Yelled NIkolai. HE then grabbed the girl wearing the cloak, and the other dubbed Aria, and pulled them in real he…..oh god I can't even…...ok let me put it this way: IMagine the same frightening look that Erza usually gives to Natsu and Gray to get them to stop. Now combine that look with the same look that Juvia made when Meredy threatened to kill Gray. That's how bad this look was. I was about ready to put a couple arrows in my eyes. "Listen to me,WE are not going through this again."
"But Master she said-"
"I do not care what she said. You will only listen to what I SAY Aria, or so help me I will crush you into a lifeless pulp" Now that would've been the end of it, if the other girl hadn't started chuckling, then he turned his attention to her, "And you. I don't you starting shit again, I will kill you myself and gorge on your flesh" Even his voice sounded cold.I can see it was enough to make Lucy start to shake, even Gajeel looked a little freaked out.
"Now you see why it isn't wise to make him angry. HE's as cold as they come human, which is what made him a prime candidate to use Dragon Slayer Magic."
"I didn't think personality was a factor in how effective our magic could be"
"This is something you should have already know, seeing as you've witnessed that Fire Slayer's Flames of Emotion." Well she's right about that, Natsu used his Flames of Emotions during his fight Erigor. As I remembered, when Natsu got even angrier, the power of his flames rose, "Exactly. The emotions that powered his flames were Anger. You and Nikolai can employ a similar type of power. However this power two types of emotions."
"Now now Mother, there's no reason to give away all of your secrets just yet" Shit, he was digging around in my head again, "Language young man. It's disrespectful"
"Hey, stop digging in my head!" I screamed, then cupped my hands together, "That's it, i've had enough of you! SNOW DRAGON ROAR"
"ROSS WAIT" Yelled Lucy
"*scoffs* Idiot" said one of Nikolai's henchman as the tornado of snow went screaming towards Nikolai.
No POV
"FOOL, YOU FORGET THAT WE HAVE THE SAME TYPE OF MAGIC!" as Ross's SNow Dragon Roar was about to reach him, Nikolai took in a deep breath and sucked down the blast in one gulp. "You shouldn't have done that boy. NOw I'm even stronger than I was before"
"Good, then this fight should be a lot more interesting than anticipated!" suddenly, Ross came charging towards Nikolai, and knocked him off of his perch, down to the flaming grounds below him, with Ross following suit.
"MASTER!" yelled Aria as Nikolai fell, "HANG ON I'M COMING!" Aria then dove after her master and Ross, leaving the other three with Juvia, Gajeel and Lucy.
"Hmm so that happened. Guess that leaves us with you three" This guy really needs to learn how to stop thinking. If he had, he would've noticed that he was about to get slammed by an Iron pole and smacked into one of the ruined buildings.
"Blah blah blah, enough with the damn talking, and let's get to the fighting." Said Gajeel jetting off towards his opponent.
"Just great, now Jack has hands full. Sis, I would prefer we didn't fight these two lovely ladies separately. I suggest we together to take them out."
"Not a bad Idea brother. Let's end this quickly so that we can help Master Nikolai"
"Agreed" the two siblings grabbed their cloaks and ripped them off, revealing the two to be twin siblings. Both siblings had the same Hime cut hairstyle, and the wore the same articles of clothing: A circle skirt, tank top and a pair of casual shoes. The only difference between the two is that one was completely dressed in black, the other in white. Although that's not what Lucy was focused on. She was freaked out by the sight of a man wearing a tight skirt.
"GAH, Oh my god what is that thing?!" cried Lucy.
"Juvia believes that our opponents take sharing everything to an extreme" said Juvia
Switch to Gajeel
"Hey, where'd you go punk? I'm not done with you" raged Gajeel as he combed the remains of one of the houses. "COME ON OUT AND FACE ME!" Apparently his failure to find his opponent has made Gajeel extremely angry. "Fine if that's the way you're gonna play, I'll just shred this place to pieces until I find you, IRON DRAGON SWORD" Gajeel's arm began to change shape, becoming a long jagged blade and turned it into a chainsaw. He began going to town on anything he saw, so when he heard the sound of rustling, he went nuts, and charged towards the building, "THERE YOU ARE"
"Yes" rang a voice coming from the wreckage. Just as Gajeel was about to strike, a Lava Creature shot out from the wreckage and charged towards Gajeel. However unlike the previous ones, this was more humanoid in appearance, "BUT EVEN STRONGER THAN BEFORE"
"Oh shit!" cursed Gajeel, dodging the creature's attack. "So you chose to fight as an overgrown pool of lava."
"I didn't transform human, this is my true form. I'm not human, I was created by Master Nikolai from a pool of lava and created as a construct in order to aid him in battle. I'm what you would call ' a Lava Construct, and I think you have an idea of what type of magic I could use." He said with a grim smile as he began to charge a ball of Lava in his hands, "Here's another taste of it, Volcanic Blast" The Lava Construct shot the ball towards Gajeel, who managed to dodge it at the last second, turning the ground below him into a smoldering mix of stone and lava..
"HA, you missed!" Gloated Gajeel
"Not quite, look alive!" Too late, with a quick movement of his hand, the Lava Construct began to manipulate the lava below and shot it towards Gajeel, heavily burning him, and bringing him crashing to the ground. "Not so high and mighty now are you Iron Slayer. HAHAHA!"
….And Back To Ross.
"SNOW DRAGON CLAW" Ross yelled, digging his oversized fist into his Draconic counterpart, pummeling him to and dragging him through the gravel.
"SNOW DRAGON ROAR!" yelled Nikolai, using the Dragon Roar to propel himself and Ross up into the air.
"*gulp* oh god, I feel nauseous!" said Ross, it appears that roar turned Nikolai into an aircraft, and in other terms, a makeshift vehicle.
"What's wrong whelp?!" said Nikolai, smashing his backside, and Ross, into the rock, knocking him off of him, "can't stomach a little flight?"
"Normally yes" said Ross, "but only when I'm doing the flying. It's feels wrong when everyone else's doing it."
"That won't matter once I beat you You may know some basic moves novice, but how about you try a more advanced move: SNOW DRAGON TALONS" A magic circle appeared in front of his hand, and out of it came a barrage of sharpened pieces of ice.
"*gasp* SNOW DRAGON ARM SCALES" Ross arms changed, turning into a pair of twin shields on his arms (Not Really shields, it's just a metaphor). With an extra coating of armor, Ross managed to block most of the attack, but some of the shard managed to scrape him. "Hmph, some advanced technique, that barely made a scratch on me!"
"Overconfident, I like that. But it'll also serve as your downfall, let me show you why. White Lotus….."
Oh no, not this one! exclaimed Bellaruse.
"Bellaruse, what's wrong?" asked Ross
"HAILSTORM DAGGERS!" The shattered SNow talons began to rise into the air and encircle Ross in a tornado of flurrying ice, cutting him over and over again, causing him to yell out in pain. "*laughs* Looks like months wasn't enough to prepare you for a real fight Winterheart!"
"Don't worry" Ross said, battered with cuts and scrapes all over his body, but still managing to stand, "I'm tougher than I look! You're gonna need to pull out a hell of a lot more in order to put me down."
"Good, I'm not interested in fighting weaklings. SO show me what you got" But from the shadows, another watches, waiting for the right time to strike. Aria.
"Master" she said observing the two Dragon Slayers clashing with each other, "You must not lose, lest you risk letting her out" she began to rub her arm, which had begun to glow a sickly green color, "The Queen of Poison must not be released."
Writer's Notes- *sigh* GOd I need to stop with this damn procrastination, it's becoming rather bothersome. Although complaining about won't do me any good, it makes me feel a little bit better. Anyway guys, sorry about the wait, I'll do my best to put out the next chapter, and I apologize if this one seems a little underdone, but i'm open to criticism, it'll help me improve my writing skills.
