Lucy's POV, Moonbright Village
"Hmm, what's gotten into her sister?"
"Hmm, I'm not sure brother. It looks as if she stuck in some kind of self-induced trance. It's almost like the sight of our magnificent beauty has caused her to freeze up. I mean just look at her"

"Lucy? Helloooooo, anyone in there? Lucy?" said Juvia, "Hmmm *light bulb* Oh, that's it! Water Blast"
"GAAHHHHHHh *spurts and gags* Who what when where why?! Huh, what's going?" I asked, but I instantly remembered as soon as I saw that Heretic Blade mage in a dress. God he looks ugly.
"So, you've finally awoken from your daydream have you?" said the female mage, "Don't bother trying to explain why you freaked out, it's not a big deal. There are very few people who can look upon us and not be amazed by our amazing beauty."
"But I-" I said before I was interrupted again
"After all, we're not called The Twin Beauties of Heretic's Blade for nothing. Well that and our exceptional fashion sense." he said grabbing the bottom of his skirt, "Obvious by our matching outfits, ain't that right sis?"
"Right Oni-chan"
"HEY CAN I SAY SOMETHING HERE?!" I yelled
"Ugh, rude much?" said the female mage, "Fine you may speak, even though you're an unkempt, homely dressed train wreck"
"TRAIN WRECK?! How dare you call me a trainwreck! I'll have you know I came in second at the the Miss Fairy Tail competition-"
"And Juvia came in third, but we still lost to Erza"
"You didn't have to bring that part up Juvia." Great, now I'm starting to feel depressed again. Guess I've got myself to blame for that one.
"Do you have a point blonde?"
"Yes actually. First off I'd like to point out that despite your petty insults,I know for a fact that I'm not poorly dressed! And secondly, who the hell are you to say something about poor fashion sense? I mean just look at your outfits: those shoes with that skirt AND top, I mean really! It looks as though you pulled those clothes out of the trash heap."
"disgusted noises* How dare you" said the brother, "I'll have you know I handcraft my clothes from the finest silks and fabrics taken from my victims," Oh god, I hate it when people say victims, "Hmph, but it's not the first time i've been insulted, so words mean nothing to me"
"Actually I was referring to your sister" I said.
"*GASP*" with that, the sister slumped to the ground. Normally I wouldn't say something like that, but that's also usually because no one insults the way I dress, "Me? Trash Heap? Is that even possible?"
"No sis, that's not true at all. Remember, that girl's just jealous that she doesn't have what it takes to be truly beautiful."
"...WAHHHHH It just can't be true, WAHHH" the sister cried, when suddenly she began to glow with a faint blue aura, then a magic circle appeared beneath her, "TEARS OF SADNESS!" When she had opened her eyes again, water began to shoot from them and began to flood the entire area.
"GAH, that's the last time I open my big fat mouth!" I screamed as ran from the approaching tidal wave. Nearly drowning in Aquarius's water is bad enough, I'm definitely don't wanna drown in the tears of my enemy. But then I remembered:
" This should be simple for Juvia" Juvia said and stopped the water dead in it's tracks, "WATER CANE" Juvia shaped the water into a giant whip, and attacked the twin mages.
"You dare use my sister's magic against us?! UNACCEPTABLE! FLAMES OF RAGE!" The brother rose his hand infront of Juvia's attack, and a magic circle appeared from his hand, spewing a gigantic bright red flame right into the water, instantly evaporating the water on contact.
"*gasph* he stopped my attack!" said Juvia
"He's a fire wizard?" Just like Natsu.
"*chuckles* fools, I don't just use fire. Master Nikolai isn't the only one to possess a Lost Magic." Don't tell me
"*sniffs* Me and my brother...were born with the same type of magic *sniffs* that allows us to channel our emotions into raw power. We call this magic-
"The Arc of Emotion" They said in unison.
"Arc of Emotion? I've never heard of that type of magic before."
"That's why it's called LOST magic water woman. Although you won't be here long enough to understand it," the brother said, as his body began to envelop itself in a dark purple aura, "Once my anger and hatred consumes your soul."
"Now now brother" now his sister was consumed in her own dark aura, "that'll be long after my bitterness and despair breaks their fighting spirits."
"This power….it feels so-"
"Cold little fairy?" They asked, "That's how all our enemies felt, before they fell by our hands." Their magic power is so dark, me and Juvia are barely able stand, that's how bad it is, "We are the Frigid Souls of Heretic's Blade."
"I am Squall" said the boy
"And I am Sorrow." said the girl.
"And we will kill you!" They leapt from their post and came charging towards me and Juvia.
"Juvia we have to move- *gasp*" I said, but it didn't look like Juvia could hear me. She was on the ground, trembling and shaking with fear, "Juvia! WHat did you do to her?" Suddenly I felt a tightening grip around my throat, and I felt myself being lifted up.
"isn't it obvious? She's given in to despair." Squall said. His hand felt like ice as it tightened around my neck, "We not only have the ability to manifest our emotions into raw energy, but we also possess the ability to manipulate other people's emotions." He punched me in the stomach, then tossed me to ground.
"Unfortunately, we can only induce the emotion we feel, so we had to get you to say something that would send one of us into a state of despair." Her voice, it sounds different. I looked up to see the siblings had changed shaped: They both still looked the same, they were now wearing matching toga like outfits, one red and one black. The same aura still surrounded them, and it seemed to only be getting stronger.
"What the hell are you?" They both grew a disturbing smile and started to strike me, over and over again. Each time they strike, the pain grew, and grew, and they showed no sign of stopping, Juvia, Gajeel, Natsu, Gray, Erza, somebody….. "HELP ME!"
"SNOW DRAGON ROAR!"
"IRON DRAGON ROAR!"
"What?! GAHH"
"SISTER, GAHH"What's going on? THe only thing I could see was a shifting shadow.
Ross's POV
"Hold still Lucy, this will only take a second" Damn it they messed her up pretty bad.
"Shit, I should've know that Nikolai would try something like this." said Bellaruse
"Calm down Bellaruse, neither you nor I could've seen this coming" I said.
"Well of course you couldn't have seen this coming Human! THis type of spell was never written in the tome. This is definitely something I did not want to happen again."
"Hey Snowman" said Gajeel reappearing behind me, "We don't have all day for this, you need to heal Juvia now! I'll look after Lucy."
"Right" As I started running towards Juvia, those two attacked again.
"Damn you Human, you interrupted our fun! *CLAWS OF DESPAIR!"
"Hmph, I see through your tricks" Instead of attacking my opponent, I simply stood in place. If my hunch is correct, then i'll be just fine.
"DIE HUMAN!"
No POV
"*Groans* wh-what's going on?" Lucy asked clutching her head.
"Easy bunny-girl, those demons messed with your head pretty bad" said Gajeel.
"What are you talking about Gajeel?"
"Watch and see for yourself" Gajeel pointed in front of her, directing her attention to Ross about to be enveloped in a wave of black magic.
"Ross No!" screamed Lucy as she attempted to get up to help Ross, but Gajeel grabbed her and pulled her back.
"No Lucy, don't go anywhere near him. Trust me he'll be fine." Lucy wanted to believe that, but she had witnessed first hand as to what these two can do. Let's just hope Ross can handle it, because he just got hit by his opponents attack.
"HAHAHAHAHA, Give in to the despair False Snow Dragon!" gloated Sorrow as her magic enveloped Ross in one fail swoop. Her tune quickly changed to shock when she saw Ross emerging from the attack with a big smile on his face.
"Hmph, some Lost Magic. Your Arc of Emotion has no effect on me Nikolai!"
"Nikolai? I thought that other guy with the Dragon Scales was Nikolai" said Lucy
"That's what we all thought. But it turns out it's much more complicated than that." said Gajeel, but Lucy didn't understand.
"What are you talking about human? I'm not Nikolai, my name is Sorrow!"
"Enough! Bellaruse told me about the Disembodiment Spell. I know you split yourself into different pieces, that's how you've survived all these years."
…
"Well well well, I didn't expect you to figure that out so fast." Sorrow's face began to change. Half of her face was now covered in blue scales, a horn began to sprout from her head, and large teeth began to form in her mouth, "And here I thought you were just a cheap imitation of a Snow Dragon Slayer. Tell me, how did you figure it out?" Lucy was shocked herself to see that Nikolai was the one who had attacked her, as was Gajeel.
"When I was fighting you something felt a bit off."
Flashback, Not too long ago
"SNOW DRAGON CLAW!"
"SNOW DRAGON CLAW!" It was clear we were both evenly matched, neither of us could break the stalemate, both of us kept on using the same type of attack, which doesn't add up. I assumed that after centuries of study and practice you would've been able to clobber me in an instant, but apparently I was wrong….or so I thought. Then a thought popped into Bellaruse's head.
"What is wrong with him? He's just copying the same moves that you're using. He doesn't even seem to be… wait a second. ROSS STOP!" I initially questioned why she wanted me to stop fighting, but I did it anyway. When I stopped, you stopped. When I rose my left arm, you did it as well. That's when Bellaruse figured it all out and explained it to me right on the spot.
End Of Flashback, Return to Ross's POV
"After that, I just shot a couple dozen Snow arrows into your body, which then evaporated into a pile of snow just like that *snaps. Then I helped Gajeel defeat that stupid overgrown fire pit you called a Demon. When I arrived, Gajeel was in pretty bad shape.
Flashback Again
"*YAAAAAAA, I'll crush you both, *VOLCANIC CRUSH*" This one wasn't one of your bodies, so it was a little harder to defeat, but not by enough to keep us down.
"That's right" said Gajeel, "WHile I was fighting that thing, I couldn't land a single blow on him!"
"That's because Lava can melt any form of metal, including magic. That's why I needed to step in."
"Hehehehehehe, looks like I'll have the pleasure of eliminating both of you faries from the face of the earth!"
"Grr, like hell you will, IRON DRAGON CLUB" As Gajeel struck the lava construct, he would get burnt with every strike. Alone he would've been done for, but combined with my Snow magic, he went down in one:
'SNOW DRAGON ARCTIC BLAST!"
Two:
"IRON DRAGON CLUB"
THREE:
"IRON DRAGON FOOT BLADE!" And we shattered him in an instant.
Bellaruse then explained to me that it was a sign that you had used a spell she developed in order to separate herself from her body in order to transcend to a higher state of existence.I read about this spell in Bellaruse's tome, but half of the page was ripped out,but now I know why"
"Hahahahahahaha, you guessed right. I stole that page from her book. It was the one of the only few I could get before Bellaruse could seal it away. And another one of them happened to be another form of Lost Magic:The Arc of Emotion. And as you can see, it's quite devastating."
"So you are after that damned book." No human, he's after the magical fucking snowflake. YES HE'S AFTER THE FUCKING BOOK!, "God damnit Bellaruse shut up!"
"You two keep arguing like an old married couple. Honestly it's too fun to watch." said Nikolai, "But now that you've brought the book up, I propose a trade. Hand over that book," he said. He snapped his fingers and that other counterpart of his appeared besides him, carrying...Juvia? Oh no, " And i'll give you back your friend here. She was interesting to play with, for the time being. And I was just about ready to kill her."
"YOu sicko leave Juvia alone!" shouted Lucy.
"SNowman, you gotta save her." said Gajeel.
"Yeah I know that, don't worry" Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit, what am I going to do?
"Give him the book." What Bellaruse? "I said give him the book. Looking into your memories, I can see that this Juvia character is must too important to sacrifice in order to protect my book. He was bound to have gotten it eventually, I just wish it didn't have to be today. Give it to him now."
"*sigh* thank you Bellaruse," I said taking out Bellaruse's tome from my jacket, "Here's the book."
"*laughs* you made the right decision human. SQUALL!" he ordered.
"Master"
"Give him his associate. We're quite through with her, and while you're at it retrieve the book from him."
"Yes Master" said Squall. He vanished for a quick second, then reappeared next to me, "Here you are False Snow Dragon Slayer" God i'm getting sick of hearing that already! I took Juvia from his arms,and exchanged her for the book. As soon as she was back in my hands, I went to work and began to heal her body.
"Thank you Squall. And thank you human for giving me the tools needed to execute my plan."
"Don't flatter yourself Nikolai. Soon enough that book will be back in our hands." I said.
"Maybe, but what happens later on down the line. You and I are going to be fine rivals." Rivals?, "Squall, it's time we made our way back to the guild. Let one of the seven prove themselves" With that, they turned and began to walk away, but I still had something to say after what they did to Juvia and Lucy.
"HEy, where the hell do you think you're going? I'm not done with you!" I screamed as they walked away. I got up and charged towards them, but just as I was about to close in on them, they vanished into the air little cherry blossoms floating into the sky.
"Don't worry False Slayer, we'll meet again very soon. Oh,and I left a little something for your troubles." I looked down to where he was standing and found a small chest.
One Hour Later
"How's she doing Ross?" asked Lucy.
"She'll be fine, physically at least. Although the state of her mind though, that's different." She has been through something fierce. That Arc Of Emotion magic is pretty devastating.
"*rages* I can't believe it! I mean what kind of a fight was that?" raged Gajeel, "They just toyed with us like we were weaklings. Like we didn't mean anything. And turns out, most of them were copies of the same person! What a rip."
"Well he doesn't seem to be taking it well' sighed Lucy, but I can't say that I blame him. I mean, that was a mind fuck. I hadn't expected him to use the Disembodiment spell, but it does explain how he was able to survive all these years.
"And don't forget that he took my tome. I swear to go, I SWEAR TO GOD, that little puddle over there better have been worth the sacrifice!" Bellaruse, even if Juvia wasn't important, I still would've given that tome to save her life, "Oh wait wait wait , let me guess human. it's because it's the right thing to do, isn't it." As a matter of fact, no, that's not the reason why, "Then why then?" Because I happen to like her ok?
…. "You like this girl?" Oh great, i'm never gonna hear the end of this one.
"Hey Ross, what's inside this chest?" asked Lucy
"Don't touch that Lucy, I haven't had a chance to examine that yet for traps" I said. Lucy definitely made sure to stay away from it once I said that, which was evident by the fact that she was hiding inside of Horologium.
"Well in that case, i'm staying in here until you make sure, the lady says" said Horologium.
"*laughs* don't worry Lucy, I'll get it done as soon as I'm done treating Juvia." I said.
"Hey Ross," said Gajeel examining the chest, "This thing needs a key. Did that guy leave one behind?"
"No I checked. I even checked all over town to see if he left it in hiding. Also to make sure if anyone in town managed to survive Heretic's onslaught. No such luck"
"Damn, we came all this way for nothing" said Gajeel.
"I know, but hey it could be worse" I replied
"And what exactly could be worse than a completely devastated town with hundreds of people dead? she asks"
"Master? Maaaaaassterrr" That was the sound of a girl's voice, but I didn't know who it belonged to. But then it hit me: "Master, please be careful or you're gonna pop another blood vessel." The other Heretic girl! She wasn't with Nikolai when they left, "Master, where did you go?"
"Gajeel, stay here with Lucy and Juvia. There's still one Heretic left."
Aria's POV
"Master, wh-where did you go? Where did young-Ahh my arm!" Oh no, it's happening again. MY arm is glowing again. No, NO, I'm not letting you out.
"*laughs* you cannot hold at bay much longer little girl. Now that he's gone, it's the perfect opportunity to take over." No! I can't let you out! I won't let you out. "Well, maybe you won't, be he will"
"Hey you" Oh no, not the Fairy Tail Snow Dragon Slayer, please anyone but him, "Tell me where your master went. NOW!"
"No, No, you need to get away from. Get away from" I yelled, but he wouldn't listen.
"I'm not going anywhere until you tell me where your master went. NOW TELL ME"
"I...said. GET AWAY!"
"Look out Fairy Tail wizard, the Queen of Poison is coming."
Writer's Notes- I'm surprised that so many of you have read my story. Honestly I thought this would become a big flop, and hopefully this chapter doesn't seem too rushed. I also apologize for the lack of a battle scene in this chapter, this was meant to jumpstart Nikolai and Ross's rivalry to see who is the better Snow Dragon Slayer.
