Lucy's POV, Moonbright Village
"Lucy? Hey Lucy! EARTH TO BUNNY GIRL!" Yelled Gajeel.
"Huh what?" Hmm I must've zoned out. Ugh, my head is killing me, that magic that guy from Heretic's Blade wielded was devastating. I may not have taken the full brunt of their attack, but I wish I could say the same for Juvia. Ross said she wasn't harmed physically, but her mental state, that was different. If that guy can induce a state of true despair, I wonder what type of ordeal Juvia is going through.
" Are you sure you're ok? You're acting really weird. Are yous ure Ross used his magic correctly?" asked Gajeel.
"Yeah i'm fine, just a little rattled. But it's not because of those dark mage's fact the thing that freaked me out the most is that disater of an outfuit one of them was wearing. I just wish I could get that image out of my head" I said.
"Hmm, well maybe I can help. Maybe I can cut that image out of your head." Do I look like a piece of wood?!
"Uhhhh, no thanks Gajeel, I won't need your help" I said nervously, "In fact I can barely remember what those Heretic guys even looked like. Especially that despicable leader of theirs, Nikolai."
"I know what you mean" Gajeel said, changing his arm back into it's normal form, "To think that guy actually used a spell to separate part of himself into different pieces just so he could live long enough to retrieve some book."
"Not just some book Gajeel. Ross once told me that that book contains dangerous magic, magic that annoying dragon of his stated that she sealed away for a reason. I just wish we knew what other types of magic was inside of that thing." Besides that God Slayer magic Ross showed me. OH that reminds me. With all this excitement going on, I forgot that we still had the…..well remember that incident in Magnolia from before? Well, that was because of Ross and-
"LUCY!" Well speak of the devil, here he comes right now. But why is he shouting, "LUCY, GAJEEL, GRAB JUVIA AND LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE! WE GOT MORE TROUBLE!" He shouted.
"Trouble? What the hell is he talking about? I thought the only one left was that on girl, and she couldn't stand the sight of any of us fighting." said Gajeel.
"If that's the case then why are all his clothes torn to shreds?" Ross rounded the corner of one of the ruined buildings and came frantically running towards the three of us, with a look of fear and panic in his eyes.
"I'm not worried about his clothes, I wanna know what he's running from." Well that shouldn't be hard to figure out, considering that there's a gigantic snake-woman slithering it's way towards him.
"*gasps* a Lamia?!" I exclaimed.
A Lamia is a class of monsters, represented with the head and breast of a woman, and the body of a serpent. By using their feminine allures, they are able to woo men, young and old, into their clutches so they may suck their blood. However, if their prey should escape them, they will go out of their way to devour any and all people that are unfortunate enough to cross paths with one.
"FALSE DRAGON SLAYER! YOU'LL PAY FOR DRIVING NIKOLAI AWAY FROM ME!" Ahhh, her voice sounds like nails on a chalk board, and I don't see how any man could be attracted to something like that. "After I devour you, I swallow those friends of yours like bugs!"
"*shivers* NO thanks, i'd like NOT to be eaten today! OPEN, GATE OF THE TWINS: GEMINI"
"Hey there Lucy" said Gemi
"Yeah, hey there Lucy. Whatcha need help with?" asked Mini
"ALright you two, I need you two to turn into that thing over there" I said pointing to the Lamia chasing Ross around.
"Why isn't anyone doing anything to help?!" He screamed
"No problem Lucy" I Immediately regretted that decision, "So Lucy, how do we Look?" Said Gemini, but they hadn't transformed into the Lamia. They transformed…..into ME, just not as you would think.
"GAHHHH, why are you dressed like that?!" Nothing that she was wearing could be considered clothing. The sides of her face, torso and legs were all covered in brown scales, her teeth were sharpened to perfection, and what was wrapped around to cover her...well you know what, could hardly be called panties,and i'm not gonna say anything else.
"Hmm, We thought this was what you asked for Lucy. You wanted us to look like that monster over there right?" they asked in a sultry voice.
"I meant change into a Lamia so you could fight it, not to make me look like some weird fetish model!"
"WHY IS NOBODY HELPING ME?!" Yelled Ross.
"God dammit, never mind Gemini, thanks anyway." They reverted to their original forms and returned to the Celestial Spirit World, "Looks like it's time for Lucy to show her true strength!" I drew my whip from my belt and charged towards the Lamia, full of zeal, confident that I'd be able to take this thing on myself. No Celestial Spirits, no one to be dependent on. THis is it, I CAN DO THIS!
"Come here Blondie, you're going for a ride." I spoke too soon. The Lamia grabbed me by my leg using it's tail, and started to swing me round and around and around and around and aro-god I think i'm getting dizzy here!
Please do not hate me for making Lucy that easy to quell. DOn't worry people, it's all a part of my master plan.
Lucy: Master Plan? C'mon Ross, everything you've written so far has been centered around you. I mean yeah, you gave me one chapter where the focus was actually placed on me, but that's it! Nothing else! I mean really, you haven't even made one mention of the Celestial God Slayer lacrima we created ages ago. You even wrote a whole chapter describing the events that led to it's creation
Ross:...
Lucy: You forgot about the lacrima didn't you?
Ross: Hey look something's happening back in the plot.
"Waaaaaaaaa, somebody get me down from here!" I screamed.
"*gasps* Lucy! Hang on i'm coming. SNOW DRAGON CLAW" Ross sliced through the Lamia's tail and caught me in the air, "Gotcha Lucy." he said.
"Ross you managed to hurt the Lamia" I said.
"Not exactly Lucy, take a better look" He was right. Not only was the Lamia's tail regenerating, but it ] was also growing in size, "Lamia's are part reptile, and because of that she's able to regenerate at will. And because she's a mage, she's able to accelerate the healing process. That's why she's gotten so big. It's the equivalent of cutting off a hydra head: Cut off one head, two more grow back."
"Then hurt her?" I asked.
"You can't" mocked the Lamia, "Hahahaha, the name's Aria by the way, Lamia mage, second to Nikolai the REAL Snow Dragon Slayer" Ross tensed up when he heard her say that, "And Heretic's Blade 'Queen of Poison!" Queen of Poison? What does she mean by that. "If you two are wondering why i'm called the Queen of Poison, i'd be more than happy to give you a demonstration. YOu see that blue haired chick lying unconscious on the ground over there?" *gasp* Oh no, Juvia! I forgot that she was still knocked out from her encounter from that mage. "I'll take your stunned silence as a yes. Here's how my title works: See some of the world's most potent and fatal poisons come from the mouths of snakes, and I just so happen to be half snake." Ugh, seeing her lick those razor sharp teeth of hers is making my freak out, "I can use poison to paralyze or kill my victims, either slowly or instantly, but I prefer the former. Mommy likes to play with her food." She said licking her lips.
"Ohohohohohoh, fuck no that's creepy" Ross said, clutching my arm and laughing nervously.
"Don't tell me you're afraid of her Ross." I said.
"Snakes freak me out, end of discussion! That's why I didn't bother to attack until now. I'll only attack anything snake related if I had a compelling reason to do so!" He exclaimed with fear in his voice. Looks like there are some enemies even Dragon Slayers are afraid to fight.
"Ahahahahaha, see that's why I don't consider you to be a real Dragon Slayer little boy. Real Dragon Slayers aren't afraid of anything, like for instance a situation in which if you don't act fast," One of her claws grew larger and became coated in a clear liquid, probably the poison, "You're gonna see your friend here die a slow and horrible death. And don't think about looking for a cure either, all of my poisons are specially modified to resistant to most cures. So hand hand yourself over False Dragon Slayer!"
"You Monster" he yelled.
"Tell me something I don't know idiot! It's actually quite nice, having the ability to lure men into my clutches, wooing them into giving me their lives, it's a power trip. That's how Master Nikolai found me." Unbeknownst to her, Gajeel was sneaking up behind her, slowly reaching for Juvia. "Now if you'll just hand yourself over so I can kill you, i'll be on your way, unless you wanna see your friend die" she gloated.
"Huh, that's funny, cause I don't see anyone under that claw of yours." Ross said.
"What are you talking abo-" the second she saw that Juvia wasn't lying beneath her, and Gajeel carrying her towards the town exit, she flipped out, "GAAAAAHH, damn you dragon slayer!"
"Damn this snake Breath, SNOW DRAGON FIST" Ross yelled, landing a blow against the Lamia's face, "Hey Lucy, wanna help out?"
"Not a problem Ross" I said drawing my whip, "WHIP ATTACK!" I managed to land a couple of blows on her before she knocked us away.
"You'll pay for that Fairy Tail wizards, POISON MIST" she yelled, releasing a purplish black mist into the air, "As soon as this hits you, you'll die!'
"I don't think so, I got a similar trick, SNOW DRAGON ROAR!" Ross's roar negated the effect of the mist.
"YAAAA, VENOM CLAW" she pounced towards me and Ross. We jumped out of the way, and her claw smashed the curb we were just standing on into a million pieces.
"Ha, you missed Snake breath" I gloated, it kinda feels good actually.
"Don't get cock Lucy, we still gotta beat this thing," Ross said, raising his arms into the air,making a magic circle appear above them, "SNOW DRAGON BLIZZARD" A freak wind started coming out of the magic circle, and before I knew, everything started to freeze over. All of the flames on every building in town went out, the ground began to freeze over, and my entire body felt like it was about to turn into a human popsicle, but I wish I could say the same for the Lamia
" *laughs* You really think that's supposed to kill me Frost Boy?! You should've known that Reptiles are cold blooded! A little blizzard wouldn't even phase me!"
"Ross what was the point of using that spell? it didn't hurt her" i said
"It wasn't supposed to" he said, "It's supposed to provide me with a terrain advantage, since I require Snow in order to use my magic. Now I have enough snow to fight this scaley freaK!"
"*chuckles" too bad it won't do you any good. The venom's already entered your body" she said smugly.
"What are you talking about? You haven't struck me once yet" said Ross
"I didn't have to. You already did that yourself!"
"YOu're making that u-" Ross started to tense up.
"Ross, are you okay?" THe only sounds that he could make were short gasps of breath. Suddenly he started to choke and collapsed to the ground, convulsing and shuddering, "Ross! What did you do to him?"
"It's simple. When he shot his SNow Dragon Roar to counter the Poison Mist, he didn't realize that the poison particles made their way into in roar and flowed right back into his system. Don't worry it isn't fatal, it paralyzes. I want to kill him with my bare hands, but I wanna make sure that there aren't anymore interruptions. So i'll eliminate you first then kill him and deliver his body to Master Nikolai." I reached for my whip when Ross grabbed my arm.
" -" he struggled to say
"What Ross?" I asked
"Lac..ri..ma." Lacrima? Wait, he doesn't mean, "use….the lacrima...Lucy." I looked into the bag I was carrying to examine the purple lacrima sitting inside of it. This is the Celestial God Slayer lacrima we created before we came here.
"Grrr, what are you two whispering about over there!" yelled the Lamia, as she quickly slithered her way towards us. Just as she was about to pounce, a dome appeared all around us, stopping her dead in her tracks, "What the hell?"
"Snow …..Dragon Dome. Lucy...you need to….use the,*grunts*, God Slayer Lacrima." he said as the Lamia used attack after attack to break the dome.
"But I don't know how to use God Slayer magic. Plus, you gave Nikolai the book with the spells inside of it." I said.
"*laughs* don't be...so sure" He slowly reached into his jacket and pulled out a torn page from the tome, "Ripped this thing out before I gave him the book. I told you I was gonna teach you new need to beat her, I can't do it and Gajeel took Juvia to safety. It's up to you now Lucy."
"But, but Ross I-"
"No buts Lucy. It's either you use the lacrima and become a God Slayer, or die. I know you can do this, I believe in you!" But I don't think I can…
"Human" Bellaruse? "Please save him. Save my friend." Friend? I thought that you hated him Bellaruse. "No, I care deeply for this human, it's just that as a dragon, i'm inclined to push those close to me to the edge. Especially after what he's been through. Look Lucy, you may not know this man as much as you do your other guild mates, but trust me, he thinks of you as a friend. He gave you that lacrima because he knows you can do great things. Trust me, if you use that, you can save him and stop the Lamia"
"Are you sure I can do this Bellaruse?" I asked as the Lamia continued to pound on the dome, which was now beginning to crack, "I mean what with what the others said-"
"What they say does not matter Lucy! It's what you think of yourself that matters. I've heard what they said from your memories, and it's all lies. Do you think you're weak?"
"No, I don't think I'm weak" Do you think you're dead weight?! "No!"
"POISON FLOOD!" she roared,smashing a wave of black liquid against the dome, making it erode even faster than before.
"Do you wish to die Lucy!?" No, NO I DON'T WANT TO DIE, "THEN STAND UP AND FIGHT" I will. Just as the Lamia broke through the dome, I impacted the Lacrima into a chest, then there was nothing but a big flash of light.
Notes-There you see Lucy, you're about to become a God Slayer. I told you I was gonna teach you some new magic.
Lucy-Well, Guess I was wrong, but still you could've done a better job at writing this chapter.
Ross:What did I do wrong?
Gajeel: Well for starters , I WAS BARELY MENTIONED IN THIS CHAPTER! ALL YOU HAD ME DO WAS CARRY JUVIA AWAY FROM THE ACTION.
Juvia: speaking of which, Juvia had spent this entire chapter unconscious. Juvia believes Juvia should've gotten into the fight too. I could've helped.
Ross: See, this is why I don't like working with people. They just keep making demands and you can never please them.
