NO POV

"Goddamnit! Why the hell did I get stuck taking care of Juvia" Gajeel thought to himself as he ran towards the village exit, trying to get as much distance between him and the Lamia as possible, leaving Ross and Lucy to fight it alone. I probably could've taken that thing on no problem but no, Ross wanted me to look after Juvia. One Slice from my sword probably would've killed that serpent bitch. Actually, it wouldn't. In fact Gajeel would've probably been killed in no less than two minutes. Yes Gajeel probably would've been able to cut through the Aria's Lamia scales, provided that he could catch up with her in the first place. This is due impart to the Lamia's enhanced speed stemming from her snake traits, along with the enhanced strength and improved sense of smell. So even if Gajeel were to try to use a sneak attack on her, she would easily be able to counteract his attack, unless she doesn't expect her prey to fight back when they're about to be devoured, which is why she wasn't expecting for Ross to cut his way through her tail when he rescued Lucy from her grip. Gajeel, while fast due to his Dragon Slayer magic, isn't fast enough to actually land a critical attack on Arai. And that's not even taking into consideration her regenerative abilities due to being part reptilian. So neither Gajeel, or even Ross for that matter( even if he wasn't paralyzed by Aria's Venom in his system) could beat her. Only someone stronger than them could beat Aria. But i'm rambling on, i'll get back to the story.

Just as Gajeel reaches the edge of town, a loud boom went off knocking Gajeel off of his feet and face first onto the ground. He cursed under his breath, dusting himself off, looking around to where he had dropped Juvia, when he noticed a giant pillar of magic shooting into the sky. The magic-a dark yellowish color with black shadows swirling around it- was coming from the same area where he had just left his comrades. Gajeel was worried: Where was that magic coming from, and who specifically was it targeting?

Back to the Fight

A bright flash of light engulfed both Lucy and Ross as Lucy impacted the lacrima into her chest, blinding their Lamia opponent and preventing her from attacking.

"Ugh, what the hell?" asked the Lamia as she struggled to see her way through the light. Out of the light Lucy could be heard screaming, but not out of pain, but more so from being overwhelmed.

"Lucy, you can't take it all in one dose, you need to ease into it!" yelled Ross from inside the ball of light.

"*screams* I-I can't-I can't do it," said Lucy, "All this energy, all this power, it's just too much!" The light began to darken, becoming a darkish yellow color, now receding to it's original point of origin: Lucy's chest.

"Yes you can Lucy, just hang in there" encouraged Ross. Tears began to fill Lucy's eyes as the lacrima power coursed its way through Lucy's body, flooding her with the power of a Celestial God Slayer.

*gasps* this power, Aria the Lamia thought to herself, it's even stronger than Master Nikolai's magic. But where the hell did all of this power come from.?! Aria was furious. She immediately assumed that the source of the power was Ross trying to surpass her master, unaware that it was infact Lucy who had now done , Lucy's screams of pain had stopped, as well did the outpour of power shooting into the sky. Once it had fully receded, the light vanish, revealing Lucy and Ross in the same positions as they had been in before, except this time, Lucy had a little more fire in her eyes. For a moment, everything was silent: Lucy looked at Aria, and Aria looked at Lucy, both wary of what the other would do next. But then, Lucy spoke.

"…..Celestial God," said Lucy, taking in a deep breath. Aria saw this as an opportunity to paralyze her with her Poison Mist attack if Lucy was going to use the same breath attack as Ross did before, then she'd kill her in an instant. "BELLOW!" Suddenly a torrent of yellow and black energy came screaming out of Lucy's mouth, hitting the Lamia before she could unleash her poison mist attack.

Lucy's POV

"D-did-did I do that?" I asked, seeing as though that giant snake lady thing isn't bearing down on us anymore.

"Holy shit" said Ross, still paralyzed from the Poison Mist, "I honestly did not think that would work." Wait what?!

"What do you mean you didn't think that would work?! Are you saying I could've died?" I asked. He nodded his head in response, "ARe you kidding me?! What the hell could've possessed you to take such a dangerous risk?! I bet all that snow you've eaten gave you brain freeze!" I said grabbing by the collar of his coat and started shaking him around.

"Now that I think about it, it may have not been the best way, but given the circumstances it was the only option available." he tried to justify his actions but I didn't want to hear it. I rose my hand, now engulfed in a black and yellow aura and I-WHY IS MY HAND COVERED IN A BLACK AND YELLOW AURA?! I tried shaking it off, but that didn't do anything!

"LUCY CALM DOWN!" Ross yelled, grabbing my arm, looks like the poison in his body is starting to wear off, "There's nothing to be scared about. That's just your new magic, and it's supposed to look a little dark and scary." This is Celestial God Slayer magic? huh, I pictured it a lot more prettier in my head.

"Magic is meant to be a mage's power, not pretty! For god's sake, I'm starting to think you might be even dumber than this human i'm stuck with!" chastised Bellaruse.

"Grrr, shut up Bellaruse! All I said was I thought, you don't need to be such a bitch! And what are you even doing in my head, I thought you only occupied his had!?" I said pointing to Ross, even though it's not really necessary.

"I find how you think fascinating, that and while I do not have a physical form, I can still use magic to read your mind. Plus, you don't know how to use that magic yourself, so i'm gonna have to teach you how to use it."

"But aren't you a dragon? what do you know about God Slayer magic?" I asked.

"Who the hell do you think put it in my tome you dumb blonde?" I wish you had a body right now to I could hit you you dumb ice lizard, "Yeah, as much as I like arguing someone beneath me, we have a more pressing matter to attend to. Say, oh I don't know, THE OTHER GIANT LIZARD HEADING RIGHT TOWARDS YOU!"

"You're gonna pay for that bitch! VENOM CLAWS!" *gasp* That's right, the Lamia's still alive!

"Please don't tell me that you actually thought one hit from your new magic would've killed it." she begged. Well, I didn't think I was going to take as long as it usually would. "You are so very disappointing, luckily you have me to guide you. Well and him I guess but he's basically non-existent in this chapter."

*Fourth wall breaks*

Ross:Goddamnit Bellaruse!

"Whoops, oh well, let's move on for now. Alright human, we're gonna have to put you through a crash course for now, so right now I need to concentrate on the area around you and imagine it in a bubble."

"OK. Focus on a bubble. Focus on a bubble." I repeated. I could feel the magic building inside me, swirling around me like a planet orbiting the sun.

"Once you've gathered enough energy, shout out….got it?"

"Got it!" I replied.

"YOU'RE MINE NOW LITTLE FAIRY!"

"NOW LUCY."

"CELESTIAL GOD SUPERNOVA!" I unleashed all the magic energy I had charged up, sending out a shockwave of energy in every direction, throwing the Lamia off balance and throwing her onto her back, "Yes, I did it!"

"We're not done yet human, two attacks won't be enough. Now run towards her!"

"What, but why would I-"

"Don't question me, JUST DO IT!" she ordered. I hesitated for a moment, but Bellaruse was right before, and she's the one who knows about this magic, so what have I got to lose? You know, besides my life. So I ran towards the Lamia, still dazed and confused from my last attack, and trying to get back on her…..feet? Tail? Whatever she uses to stand on. "Alright, for this next attack, you need to focus your energy into a single place,more specifically your fist. For this attack you're gonna wanna say…..OK let her rip."

"You think...that'll be enough….to stop me?"

"No, but this might,CELESTIAL GOD FIST" Not only did I smash the Lamia's head into the ground with that punch, but that one punch itself smashed the floor underneath us, creating giant crater. If these are just the basic moves, I wonder just how powerful the more advanced moves are gonna be. The Lamia tried to get back up, But I wasn't about to let that happen, so I hit her over and over again with the Celestial God Punch until the crater was at least 10 feet deep, I think. I don't know, it's kinda hard to tell from down here.

"You're starting to piss me off bitch! VENOMOUS FANGS." She jumped at my trying to bite my neck, but jumped out of the way and she smashed into the wall, "GRR, why don't you ever stop moving! TAIL WHIP" Surprisingly, Instead of getting smacked against the wall, I managed to grab her tail. She tried to pull away, but I maintained my grip on her. "Let go of my tail bitch!"

"I don't think so. But while i'm at it," I tightened my grip on her tail and I managed to lift her up off of the ground. "Holy Hell, I am stronger now. Although now that I think about it, you may have made a little overpowered when you were writing this in."

*Fourth Wall breaks*

Ross:Oh c'mon! That's twice in the same chapter.

Lucy: Do I hear three times.

Ross: Don't you dare!

Alright, alright. Jeez you're uptight. Anyway, I lifted her up by her tail and started smacking her against the wall.

"This is for Juvia lizard face!" I yelled.

"*groans* Grrr, that's it, i've had enough of you." The Lamia wrapped the tip of her tail around my wrists, and pounced on me, knocking me to the ground. "*chuckles* You made quite a bruise on me girly. Nobody besides Master Mikolai has been able to hurt me as bad as you did, and I commend you for that." *Shivers, she's licking me all over with that disgusting tongue. Ugh the way she moves around my neck, it looks as if she could snap my neck with that thing. "You'll be my most delicious prey yet. But first things first." The Lamia grabbed me by the legs and pulled me to the ground. She then wrapped her tail around me and started to crush it. Searing pain reaches every part of my body as I struggled to break free, but it was no use. The more I struggled, the tighter she squeezed, and the tighter she squeezed, the more I struggled. "Awww what's wrong little girl, am I holding you too tight? Well good, I like to hear my prey scream for mercy before I kill them. It makes the experience much more enjoyable."

"GAAAAAAAAHHH, please someone make it stop!" I screamed.

"WATER SLICER" Suddenly, the Lamia screamed out in bloody terror and fell to the 's when I felt the Lamia's grip loosen, and I managed to wriggle free. "You ok down there Lucy?" called out Ross. I looked up from the bottom of the crater and saw Ross being held up by Gajeel, and Juvia was there too. Thank God, for a second there, I was worried she was never gonna wake up again.

"Need some help down there bunny girl?" asked Gajeel. He pointed his fist down and his arm formed a long iron club for me to grab onto. I climbed on, and I went zooming back out of the crater.

"You okay Lucy? You look a little pale." Oh well you know, guess i'm just not used to riding poles that go shooting up into the air at a moment's notice.

"Oh don't worry, i'm fine. Thanks for asking Ross. And thanks for that Juvia, one more second and I would've been crushed." I said.

"Juvia is glad to help. Although Juvia was afraid that she wouldn't be able to help, after what she went through before with the Heretic's Blade wizards." No kidding. They didn't even stick around to see what happened to one of their own. Talk about cold, and I know what i'm talking about i've got a snow mage right here with me.

"Goddamnit, I can't believe I missed it. Next time Lucy, you're the one who's carrying Juvia, and i'll stay and fight."

"Calm down Gajeel, you'll get your chance next time. Strange thing is, those guys weren't looking to fight, they just wanted my book." Ross said. He's right though. Once they got their hands on that book, they just left. But why? And why come to a town that's been completely destroyed by a volcan-oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh crap we forgot about.

"GUYS,WE FORGOT ABOUT THE MISSION. WE WERE SUPPOSED TO SAVE THIS TOWN FROM AN ACTIVE VOLCANO!" I screamed, and everyone's face turned white as a ghost.

"Awww crap! If the Master finds out we failed the mission, he's gonna have our heads." Juvia exclaimed.

"Yeah, and not to mention the job was basically an S-Class mission. What the hell happens when we fail something like this?!" Now Gajeel was freaking out.

"What if we get kicked out of the guild? Hell, what if the Council gets involved because an entire town was just destroyed?!" And there goes Ross. Now the three of them were freaking out and running all over the place like a bunch of idiots.

"Well, look at it this way girly" Oh right, Bellaruse is still in my head. "At least you'll come out of this with some new magic right?" I fail to see how that helps us to remedy the situation Bellaruse. We failed the mission!

"OH shut the hell up you idiots, there was no mission." Oh no, don't tell me. Everyone had the same idea once they heard that voice. We turned around and to our horror, that Lamia was still alive, and had reverted back to her human form. "It was all just a trap in order to lure that Dragon Slayer friend of yours to my master."

"...wait what?"

Writer's Notes-That's right, it was all just a ruse. I mean honestly did you guys really think a normal class mission would award someone with 10,000,000 Jewel? I mean that's just crazy

Lucy:That has got to be the stupidest plot twist i've ever heard of ever. It was almost bad as Daybreak before it was rearranged.

Ross:*chuckles* Oh Lucy, say that again and i'm going to turn you into an ice sculpture, then smash it with a hammer! *smiley face*

Lucy:Ok, calm down, I was just kidding. But still you could've built up some more suspense to it though.

Gajeel: Yeah and next time we're on a mission, you better make sure to include me in the fight scene!

Ross: Duly noted, i'll remember that for next time. But hey, Lucy finally got some new powers. Lucy: The Celestial God Slayer, I like that.

Lucy: yeah well, at least it's better than some of those other abilities the Lamia had. I swear after reading it over, it felt like they could've been a little better.
