I closed the door behind us in the small office room they used for group meetings. Ghetsis let out a relieved sigh as if he was glad to finally be alone. Shooting a condescending glare at him I sat at the head of the table where Giovanni would always sit. Raising a brow at me he sat in a chair closer to me, the black chairs were soft but not too comfortable to fall asleep. I waited patiently for him to lecture me, but after a few moments of silence I began spinning in the office chair like a maniac.
Whizzing around in the chair I began to laugh loudly from the odd glee. My head began to get dizzy as the room faded into blur. I closed my eyes for a moment afterwards but quickly opened them as Ghetsis stopped the chair with his hand. Gazing up at him his stare was cold back into mine as if he was severely unimpressed. I rolled my eyes at his serious nature and proceeded to wait patiently.
"Why do you undermine me in front of Archie?" He hissed sitting down back into his chair.
"Undermine? When did I ever undermine you?" I questioned him while scrunching my face.
He rested his chin on his hands and gave me a sarcastic glare, "You are constantly contradicting what I say and you act like we have nothing going on..."
"But we don't have anything going on..." I glared at him awkwardly.
"You're telling me everything, all of it doesn't mean a thing to you?" He asked his voice harsh and annoyed.
I stretched my arms out onto the table resting my chin against the cool surface, "Why should I feel anything towards you when my feelings aren't reciprocated? You didn't even start feeling empathy since a few days ago I doubt that you feel much else than anger."
Ghetsis closed his eyes and let out an annoyed sigh, "You're not understanding the point..."
"What point? Seriously what's your problem I'm not going to waste my time on someone who doesn't care regardless how I feel! You act like I'm your pet, your slave, your property!" I snarled at him feeling a tad heart broken.
The green haired male sat quietly for a few moments only blinking calmly as a reaction. If only he could be easier to crack open, then it wouldn't be so difficult getting through to him. I desired to be with him, but at the same time I couldn't stand being a marionette I needed to know he had felt the same. Besides regardless of what I felt, Archie was an obvious better choice even Vicki knew that. I slumped into the chair with an uneasy sigh, the silent air cut through me creating a hole in my heart.
"Can I go now?" I whispered in defeat.
"No you may not just go... Not until you understand" Ghetsis answered with a fake calmness as if he were ready to snap.
I groaned in annoyance throwing my head back into the chair, "So what you're going to keep me here all night?"
He smirked in a condescending way, "If I have to, then absolutely."
"I could easily just wait until you turn your back and then just leave..." I grumbled throwing him a challenging stare.
The man chuckled and drew close to my ear, "I dare you to try."
I shivered from the sound of his voice so close to my ear, in a way I still feared sometimes I just hoped he didn't know that. Retracting away from him I took in a deep breath through my nostrils to regain some oxygen. It seemed I had stopped breathing for maybe just a moment, but I wouldn't let it get me again. Once again in silence I stared up at the ceiling examining the tiny dots all of its prickly white surface. My eyes strained as I attempted to find some sort of figure within it, something I did often when I was bored as a child.
"Is it that you just don't want me to talk over you? Is that it?" I piped up again trying to come up with the answer.
He placed his arms behind his head leaning back, "No, you're so oblivious. Ignorant to your surroundings I suppose..."
I sighed softly while rubbing my forehead, "What if I decided to go out with Archie? Hypothetically if he asked me to be his girlfriend, and I said yes. You couldn't exactly bother me like this, he's obviously the better choice anyway..."
"You will do no such thing! That man will be a dead one if he ever lays one hand on you!" The man rose quickly to his feet with a scream, "How is he such a better choice? I am far more intelligent, much taller, more handsome! He's just a... A filthy sea monger!"
I shrunk into my seat at the fury in his words, as if to tear apart my very existence right then and there. My eyes were wide and I could feel my heart pushing against my chest like I was having a heart attack. It was probably not the best idea to mention what I did, considering the circumstances but I had no idea he would freak out that bad. Shaking from the sudden shouting I attempted to regain myself, collecting all of my thoughts.
"Holy... Crap..." I whimpered as if I was out of breath.
"Do you get it now?" He growled with a stare burning through me.
I gulped inwards trying to be more careful, "I'm terrified... Speechless..."
Ghetsis shook his head coming down from his rage, "Foolish, foolish you are to speak of such things..."
Clutching to me seat I worked up the courage for a question, "Ghetsis... Are you jealous? Do you really care about me?"
The man adverted his gaze with the same unreadable stare as if he hadn't heard me. Perhaps he was lost in a train of thought, I assumed that's what he did when something bothered him. Knowing he probably wasn't going to answer I gave up and began to walk towards the door. I gave one last glance back at him as he stared off into space, appearing to be deep in thought. Turning back to the door I grasped the handle and began to swing it open, a small creak breaking through the quietness.
"Britney..." I heard his voice from behind me.
I sent a glance his way, his emotions still impossible to read, "Yes?"
"Please don't go with him instead..." Ghetsis mumbled in a sincere way.

"Wake up!" Vicki poked me hard in the cheek.
I slammed awake, "Huh what?"
It felt as if it were only hours ago I was with Ghetsis, but now it had already been the next morning. Last night instead of staying up as I usually did I went to bed early. My purple covers warmed me in a comfortable embrace, I just wanted to curl up and fall back asleep but knowing Vicki it was something important. Her brown eyes glistened underneath her well framed black glasses showing off what I hoped to be glee. At lease this time I knew she wasn't angry with me, I either did something awesome or something really awesome had happened. I stretched out my arms with a huge yawn before being fully awake.
"Something awesome has happened! Oh yeah I checked your messages on your phone..." She yelped while throwing my phone at me.
The smart phone smacked me quick into the side of my head and I was finally awake with a throbbing pain in my head. Rubbing the side of my skull I glared at Vicki and she gazed at me innocently as if to apologize. Clicking the phone on I went into my messages to see what all the fuss was, and then there was a handful of texts displayed on the screen. It was our old friend Aidee, apparently with Michayla as well. The text was about regrouping and hanging out again as they were finally back in town from many years. I could feel an excitement bubbling up inside but also an unpleasant nervousness.
"Okay that's great news but how do we explain this situation?" I asked Vicki in a worried way.
"We don't have to tell the villains you know, we'll just go hang out!" Vicki replied with a cheer.
I flopped out of my soft purple covers, "Okay but, if anyone asks we're just going to do boring girl stuff like shopping for underwear."
She raised a brow sarcastically, "Do you honestly think they'll believe that coming from two tomboys?"
"Probably not... Well what do we like to do that they don't?" I panicked flailing onto the floor from being in my blanket burrito.
Vicki tilted her head in thought, "Oh I know, you REALLY like soft things. Blankets and stuff, and what hardcore villain would care about fluffy things?"
I groaned in pain, "Oh you'd be surprised! I don't have a better plan so let's do that. Text them and tell them that we will meet them at the mall..."
"Cool we'll go for lunch because I don't wanna go just yet... Get out of bed and get ready you lazy butt!" Vicki laughed throwing a pillow at me before launching out of my room.
Taking a face full of pillow I crawled off the floor and began to get into some real clothes. I quickly thrown on a blue and white striped shirt with torn up black jeans. In addition to this I grabbed my greenish military styled jacket along with my black fingerless gloves. Once satisfied with myself I sluggishly made my way down to the kitchen for my morning tea. Maxie was already up bright and early making breakfast to my surprise. The sizzling of eggs and bacon wafted to my nose as my mouth watered, along with this was pancakes and waffles. Turning on the kettle I glanced at him curiously in observation.
"Whose the big breakfast for, someone is awful busy this morning!" I chirped with a bright smile.
Gazing back at me his eyes were full of life unlike before, "I'm feeling rather generous so I thought I'd make breakfast for everyone."
Almost as if overnight he seemed much more chipper and happy, I wondered what was up with him he was usually so tame. I wondered for a moment if someone had perhaps kidnapped him and replaced him with a clone. As unrealistic as it seemed I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't actually him at this point. I tilted my head with suspicion and noticed him keeping a close eye on Vicki who sat unawares. Immediately the light bulb lit into my head. He must have been struck with love, it was rather hilarious but I kept it to myself.
I grinned in a sinister way to myself, I didn't want to get in the way though so I simply sat next to Vicki. Letting out a deep yawn I watched the rest of the villains travel down the staircase in curiosity to what the smell was. The easiest way to lure out anybody of course was food, and perhaps Maxie knew that as well. Coughing lightly into my palm I shifted awkwardly in my seat to the sound of boiling water. I attempted to leap into action but Lysandre had already taken charge and began serving tea to us. Lysandre's mane seemed to be rather lacking of its usual shape, it was at a normal kind of length curling along with his beard.
Ghetsis as usual stalked in without a sound, his body covered by multiple black pieces of clothing. His eyes as usual seemed cold like his heart, but he was actually not wearing his usual zip up. This time he was wearing a rather nice long sleeved black dress shirt, but his hands were covered with what appeared to be fingerless gloves. He quietly sat next to me as Lysandre placed the last tea next to him and in his own spot of choice.
N was far behind Ghetsis, oddly enough actually conversing with another villain. However this villain was also Colress whom really was not all that evil at all, they must have been talking about Pokemon. The two were dressed as usual, N always wearing that same hat of his. Cyrus and Giovanni came as well with Archie not far behind them. The two more intellectual villains of Team Rocket and Team Galactic seemed to be deep in conversation, both of them dressed rather nice for the early morning.
What had thrown me off the most however was Archie lurking far behind with a wide and disturbing smile. His entire body seemed to compose of the word trouble, I was almost certain he was ready to do something very malicious. However malicious to Archie was more like trolling than anything, he never seemed to take things seriously unless it involved the environment. On his body he wore the chain he had in the games but sported a blue tank top with matching shorts, and of course the final touch of his bandana. Never did Archie ever hide from himself, he was confident and it was a pleasant feature about him.
Maxie trotted over serving plates to everyone, "Good morning my companions."
Vicki stared longingly at the pancakes, "Just pancakes for me!"
"As you wish my dear" The man smiled in an awkward way.
It was more than obvious he was in love with her, but of course Vicki was mostly unaware. I didn't really desire to get involved though, as Vicki did seem to enjoy N's company. In the very least she was finally getting along with the others and that's all that mattered to me. I dug into some pancakes, the flavor almost in perfection.
"Oh man, we should make you cook all the time this is delicious!" I claimed with a mouthful of pancakes.
Maxie shook his head sarcastically, "It's all a matter of measurements and calculations is all. It's just like mathematics, only it requires a bit more creative thinking."
Cyrus nodded along with him, "Indeed I agree with your conclusion, every good outcome comes from a logical perspective."
"SO GOOD!" Vicki screeched scarfing down the food.
After a few long moments of eating what Maxie had prepared we all began to get to the end of our meals. I seemed to be the last to finish however, I sat awkwardly chewing as the rest waited and it made me feel anxious. Swallowing the last bite a few of them began to get up but before they could leave Ghetsis let out a deep cough as if to begin speaking.
Surely enough Ghetsis had something to say, "Britney, you had a new message from a strange number. Since I wasn't aware of your password but should be, I wasn't able to read it. I'm curious as to who it's from and if it involves us..."
I shot a worried glance at Vicki begging for the answers, but she only shared the same expression with me. Ghetsis glared right through me as if to blame me for something, I squinted at him with a hint of rage but cooled off. Taking a moment to collect my thoughts I attempted to come up with a good excuse. I didn't want our friends to be scared off by them, let alone have to deal with them.
"It's just a wrong number, didn't really know so I ignored it..." I lied with a nervous shake.
Ghetsis tilted his head at me with a smirk, "Interesting that's all huh?"
The rest of them were very suspicious as well, their stares dug through me like daggers. Ghetsis knew me too well by now, I had shared too much of my life with him and I could not hold a lie. However I knew much about him as well regardless of how much he tried to hold back, and I knew he was thinking it was something way different from what it actually was. Swallowing I took a deep breath to calm myself, perhaps they wouldn't even question it.
"Okay first of all stop trying to get into my phone!" I gave Ghetsis a playful punch on the arm, "It seriously isn't anything really."
Cyrus shook his head, "You poor thing, your lie is burning through on your face. Such petty emotion that it is but I guess I could empathize. What's the real answer?"
Giovanni nodded to Cyrus in agreement, "What is it you're hiding, if it involves us we need to know?"
"Our friends wanted to see us again they're back in town!" Vicki spit out not wanting me to suffer anymore, "we weren't going to tell you because we thought it would be best they didn't know about this situation..."
"Friends? Male friends?" Ghetsis asked curiously.
I rolled my eyes in annoyance, "No, a few girls we used to go school with..."
"Well then, we'll just have to meet them then!" Archie laughed leaning back in his chair.
"Yes, I don't believe it would be best if you met them by yourselves. It's best if we are certain of their intentions tell them to meet us here at lunch" Giovanni declared making the final decision.
I groaned in pure annoyance and Vicki shared a drained expression. It looks like we had to do the exact thing that we were trying to avoid, if only I was a better liar. Battling against Giovanni would be one you would lose, so we simply bit our tongues in silence as they began to clean up the dishes. The smell of our delicious breakfast quickly began to fade out of the kitchen, it was then I knew things were going to get a whole lot stranger.
******
The door rang exactly at noon, my whole body was shaking as Vicki and I raced to the door to let our guests in. It had been such a long time, we only hoped that they would like us just the same as they did. The two of them moved out as friends into an apartment far off on an island, apparently they were going to that same colledge and grouped together. They just finished their degrees so they finally came back with what they told us was a nice apartment. Opening the door we waited as the men in the background sat at the kitchen table.
As soon as we had opened the door Michayla sprang into a hug around us, her natural long orange hair swayed past her shoulders. She was just as peppy and lovely as when they first met, backing away from the hug she smiled widely with bright blue eyes. Throwing her arms out to the sides I noticed her large red glasses along with her plaid shirt and stylish red boots. Michayla was always into the hipster scene, and it didn't bother her at all either she was quite the actress and enjoyed being the way she was. Her light skin was speckled with only a few freckles compared to last time, but regardless she was beautiful.
Behind her Aidee finally walked in as well she was a lot more tame than Michayla as she bared a friendly closed grin. On her body she wore a nice black dress shirt with shorts and flats. She was a tad more tan than us but was still considered pale, her loving gray-blue eyes were brought out with some artful makeup. In a few moments she gave us both some soft hugs and retracted away, it was then I noticed her dark red hair. It used to be blonde the last time they met, but she must have dyed it, it was a nice look for her.
"It's been so long!" I squealed trying to contain my excitement.
Michayla hopped up with excitement, "I know I'm so excited to see you guys again!"
In our joy Aidee noticed the guys in the background and pointed towards them, "Who are these men we have not met before?"
I took a deep breath before answering, "Alright I guess it's time you meet our friends. Come on over guys!"
They quickly swept themselves over in what seemed like seconds. I observed their faces for signs of expression or on what they though about our friends. Ghetsis regardless of my friends being trustful shadowed close by me with a dark and possessive stare. I wanted to call him out but avoided it during the occasion. Regardless of this, the rest of the villains just seemed observant like they were all wondering what to think.
"These are our friends Ghetsis, Colress, Cyrus, Giovanni, Archie, Maxie, N, and Lysandre!" I pointed to each of them filled with anxiety.
Michayla squinted for a moment, "That's awful familiar... Oh Pokemon! They have the names from the leaders! They kind of look like them too..."
I began to panic but Cyrus simply answered, "Must be a coincidence, I haven't even heard of Pokemon."
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you all!" Aidee greeted them with a cheery tone.
Lysandre extended his hand in a graceful way, "The pleasure is all ours."
"They're classy too! You lucky devils all the men out everywhere we went were horrible!" Michayla chuckled with rosy cheeks.
Ghetsis smirked at the statement giving me a malicious glare. On the inside I wanted to tell them how much trouble they were really were but I didn't want to ruin anything. I bit my lip digging my teeth deeply into my lip trying not to say anything. Ghetsis put a hand on my shoulder in a reassuring way, but I felt far from from assured. I glanced amongst the villains noticing a wide variety of evil or sarcastic smiles as they knew exactly what they are.
"Yes, they definitely are very lucky indeed to have stumbled across us" Ghetsis added putting emphasis on the word lucky.
Vicki groaned in agony, "Yes, you are all such a delight!"

END CHAPTER
Authors Note: Yay thank you so much for reading everyone! I took two requests kind of killing two birds with one stone her. As always I consider all of your ideas! I'm glad you like it EvilTeamRBoss I really do like that idea Maxie would so kill him XD! I also want to give Lysandre a guitar, I'm thinking at one point they all try to play music see what instruments they would play? What do you guys think of that? So I added two new girls, they are both charming I hope. They won't be as prominent as the main two females but will have quite a bit of importance as well. Oh and the mail idea I developed into a text, I figured if Britney got a message of any sort that Ghetsis would be the first one into it because of course it's Ghetsis. Haha okay enough rambling! Thank you everyone, keep the reviews and criticism for improvement coming it helps me continue my stories and makes me a better writer every day :)
