"Man you live in a really big house!" Michayla screeched while exploring the halls upstairs.

Vicki had been showing them the rooms of our rather huge house while I was busy pouring some chips and other snacks into bowls. It seemed as if they were going to stay over tonight, it was nice to finally have some company. When I finally finished a small vegetable platter along with cheese and crackers I sat in the kitchen awaiting them to finish their little exploration. Cyrus was across the black table on a laptop typing as if it were the most important thing in his life. He was enveloped inside his work as if nothing else existed, so I waited awkwardly alone a everyone else went about their business.

Tapping the table I listened to my friends stomping around and laughing upstairs. Silently I wished to go up as well but I didn't think I'd be able to just catch up on everything that may have happened during that time. Tapping my fingers lightly on the table I glanced quickly over at Cyrus as he continued to type away. Taking a deep sigh I drew my hands to my sides and closed my eyes softly attempting to occupy my mind. Suddenly I heard a crash from upstairs and leaped from my seat, but upon hearing the word sorry followed by laughter I sat back down.

Cyrus rubbed his forehead in impatience, "Your friends are quite the loud bunch, I can't focus..."

I glared at his tired eyes and pale skin, "Well I think it's about time you took a break anyway."

"It's kind of difficult to relax when nobody is quiet for even just a second... Except for you and maybe Giovanni..." The pale male explained letting out a sigh.

I smirked lightly while gazing down at the shiny floor, "I just don't usually feel the need to talk..."

"That's the way it should be, everyone just needs to focus!" Cyrus groaned in annoyance.

I rolled my eyes at his overbearing determination, he happened to be so fixed on getting home that he took no time to relax. He was rather intelligent and knew exactly how to deal with things but I wasn't even sure if he knew what fun was. A moment of silence passed as I watched his glossy eyes stare off into the distance. The man was such a peculiar person, it boggled my mind that he pushed back so much into his mind. I wondered if it mattered to him at all, if any of us did.

I took a moment observing his quiet nature, "We don't really converse much anymore, I kind of miss hanging out with you Cyrus..."

"Hanging out?" He lifted a brow in confusion as he spoke.

"Yeah, before we moved we spent a lot of time together. It was kind of fun, but I don't really know you very well, I'd like to know you" I elaborated while stretching my arms out in exhaustion.

He glanced back and forth between the computer and I, "I assure you it was nothing but business..."

"Oh..." I mumbled tucking my arms beneath the table.

I took a few moments staring at him while he kept going back between his computer and looking at me. In my mind I wondered if I had made things awkward, I really just wished he wasn't so depressed. It was obvious the man was so bored with his life that he generally had nothing better to do than work, and it made me feel bad. Only a few minutes passed before he closed the laptop and took in deep breath of hair. His entire composure seemed ruffled and exhausted, he needed a break.

"You should really get some rest..." I suggested while gazing down at my hands.

He yawned deeply, "I suppose you're correct, but I have much to do."

"Just go to bed, you look really tired" I demanded in a soft tone.

"Fine, just make sure nobody ruins anything" Cyrus gave in while walking away.

As he trudged up the stairs I mumbled, "I won't."

As soon as he left the girls came racing down the stairs like a herd of elk, leaping over gracefully but without caution. Aidee was the most careful however, and she observed her surroundings with absolute care. Before I even had time to speak Vicki ran in and stole the bowl of chips with maniacal laughter. She raced away off to the living room with a mouthful of plain flavored chips and I nearly burst into laughter. Michayla being wild and active chased after her in the distance while Aidee decided to sit with me for a moment. The red haired girl pulled out the chair gently and sat down with a graceful smile.

She grabbed some baby carrots from the tray and spoke, "So how did you manage to get into such a nice house?"

I scratched my head nervously, "Well it was mostly the guys, they kind of just surprised us..."

"Oh really? I bet they must have crushes on you two!" Aidee lifted a brow with suggestion.

I shook my head with a loud chuckle, "No it's not like that at all! It's a long story actually, I guess you could say they owed us one."

"I'm sure at least some of them like you and Vicki, I saw the way they act so gentlemanly!" The girl claimed before eating a carrot.

"I know that Maxie has a huge crush on Vicki, but Vicki and N kind of have a thing I think" I whispered to her with a light smirk.

Swallowing down her carrot she smiled slyly, "That red head and shorter green haired guy? Yeah I can see them with her. What about you though, I seen the way the tall one looks at you."

I pouted while rolling my eyes, "Oh Ghetsis, trust me he's pretty... Malicious..."

"I don't know he seemed pretty tame, and handsome" She shrugged while getting up from her chair.

I nearly spat with disbelief, "You don't know Ghetsis, trust me!"

"Come on let's go follow Vicki and Michayla before you have a fit!" Aidee giggled at my utter dismay.

Rising from my chair I squinted at her at her suggestions, she had a lot to learn. Trotting around the corner we observed Michayla and Vicki lounging on the couch while Lysandre was playing an acoustic guitar. Considering how much the house tended to echo I was in shock that I didn't hear it, the way he played was mesmerizing. However Vicki as always was not very impressed with Lysandre, she simply pretended to be bored even though I could tell she enjoyed it. It was a soft tune that he played as if in practice, but the ambiance was still nice.

I turned my head to view Aidee's reaction and she seemed absolutely charmed. It was rather surprising that she actually seemed to like Lysandre, but yet again if you didn't know his true nature he always came off as charming. I stifled a giggle and leaped onto the couch with my legs stretched out. Adjusting the tune of his guitar he stopped for a moment leaving us all in an odd silence. It seemed almost as if it were unpleasantly cut from our ears.

Aidee took the opportunity to speak while it was quiet, "Your guitar is so lovely how long have you been playing?"

The man gazed up like a graceful lion, "A few weeks now."

"That's so cool, you're very talented for a first timer!" Michayla interrupted with sparkling blue eyes.

Lysandre smiled with charm as if to flirt, "Yes I do believe I've been doing rather well!"

I rolled my eyes and teased him, "Here he goes again trying to charm the ladies. You know Lysandre we know better than to fall for those tricks?"

"Who said I was trying to charm anyway? Perhaps you're just jealous?" He retorted with a sly smirk and a smooth voice.

Aidee whispered into my ear, "Damn he's smooth!"

Ghetsis walked in almost as if he was lurking like a snake, "I sure hope not!"

"And here comes the one who likes to ruin everyone's fun!" Lysandre teased in a rude tone.

Ghetsis narrowed his eyes with rage, "I can play an instrument too you insolent beast!"

Suddenly I heard Archie scream from the distance, "I can too!"

Placing my hand on my head I sighed, it looks like we were saying goodbye to peace for now. Aidee and Michayla exchanged confused glances as if they were utterly shocked. I hoped that this day they would just behave like normal human beings, but I guess it was too much to ask for. As if Ghetsis' words were ones of magic both Archie and Colress had now leaped into the room. It seemed as if they were all interested suddenly in learning how to play music. In silence the girls and I watched the madness unfold.

"I too have been deeply interested in learning how to make music!" Colress sang throwing his hand into the air.

Archie smiled in a silly way as if to enrage Ghetsis, "Yeah, yeah me too..."

Lysandre snickered at their incompetence, "So what are you going to do, just magically learn how to play music?"

"Why yes, it takes time but I think we should all learn something it would be excellent for morale!" Colress declared with a cheeky grin.

Michayla hugged her sides with glee, "I think it would be so awesome, guys who play instruments are so attractive!"

"I agree with that actually..." Vicki mumbled hesitantly.

As if the mention of Vicki was enough Maxie popped into the room, "What is it we are speaking of?"

"This is not a competition god damnit!" Lysandre yelled in annoyance of the gather crowd.

Giovanni decided to join in as well bursting through the crowd, "If it's a competition then I'm probably going to win it..."

"NO JUST STOP!" The lion maned male raged at them.

I giggled lightly to myself, "To be honest it would be nice to have someone to sing with..."

"If it impresses you I will certainly take part in it" Ghetsis claimed sending a gaze in my direction.

Archie wanting to be a shit disturber budged in, "I bet I'm better!"

"Your rival is supposed to be Maxie would you for the love of all things holy butt out!" Ghetsis hissed to him breaking out of his usual speech.

"Nah I feel like bugging you, plus Britney's hot" The sailor prodded at Ghetsis with menacing eyes.

Ghetsis fired off at him tackling him to the ground, "I'm going to kill you!"

Within a matter of seconds the entire room asides from the women began to brawl in a huge fight. Vicki and I simply began chuckling over the sheer ridiculousness while poor unaware Michayla and Aidee watched with horrified eyes. Attempting to reassure our old friends I lightly patted them on the shoulders letting them know this happened all the time. Michayla in minutes began to giggle along with us but Aidee still observed with complete confusion. After several minutes of pure enraged yelling, bickering, and hair pulling they finally began to calm down. I coughed to get their attention but when they stared I was completely frozen.

"Don't fight guys it's dumb" Vicki piped in saving me from my sudden stage fright.

Giovanni sneered at the others as if he were much better, "I have more important things to do than bicker, come this weekend I'm sure I'll have you all crying!"

"No you won't! Sunday, competition right here!" Lysandre growled back at him like a dog.

"FINE!" The rest screeched in unison while storming out.

Almost as quickly as the fighting began we were all suddenly left in silence. Our two older friends gazed to us for reassurance and I simply shook my head in disappointment. They now have witnessed the exact things that Vicki and I have been going through for quite awhile, and now they were dragged into it as well. It seems that they had a long bumpy road to go down with us, but assuming they haven't ran away in terror, they were ready for it.

Late in the night the entire house was finally asleep, as well as Michayla and Aidee who took on the spare room. Once again I was having trouble sleeping from all the fighting and thoughts of today. As usual I lurked down the winding staircase wrapped in a blanket, the night laid shadows far across house making it hard to see. Rubbing my eyes I turned into the living room and plopped onto the comfy black couch. As usual Ghetsis had also been awake watching the television for some odd reason. He was usually one not phased by such trivial things, it intrigued me to see him so blindly enveloped in the television, perhaps he was trying to ease his conscious.

I observed him from the opposite end from the couch, bags had formed under his eyes as if he hadn't been sleeping well. My gut grumbled with guilt and I instinctively moved closer to him gently prodding his side. Flinching he directed his attention to me as if he hadn't even seen me enter the room. As much as he made my heart melt I still felt an urge to stay distant, since I knew exactly what he was. His eyes were glazed over as he blinked at me with exhaustion.

"Are you alright?" I asked him quietly.

He relaxed his shoulders sighing, "Stop it with the sweet facade."

I tilted my head innocently, "What?"

"You despise me, I make you miserable" Ghetsis answered narrowing his eyes.

I leaned into his side, "I don't despise you, don't you ever think that."

"Well you certainly act like it..." The man grumbled at me.

"Are you grumpy because of Archie?" I teased him with a malicious smile.

He snorted with a red face, "Despising the man has nothing to do with you!"

I grinned even wider, "Is that so? I guess you wouldn't mind if I just left, maybe Archie would rather hang out with me..."

"No! No, I... I want you here..." Ghetsis hesitated stuttering over his words.

I giggled at how bashful he was despite being a complete maniac, perhaps he wasn't all bad after all? Stretching out across him I yawned calmly, he acted awkward from the advancement like he usually did. Crawling up near his side I placed a kiss gently on his cheek as a gesture of kindness. His face flushed red as I retracted away with a sly smirk, someone who didn't care wouldn't be so full of human emotion.

"Did you jus-" Ghetsis began to mumble before being interrupted.

Kissing him again on the lips I chuckled, "Yes, I kissed you."

His gaze hung onto mine for what seemed an eternity, as if the poor man had no idea what to do. Suddenly though Cyrus stopped in the room his eyes wide with disgust. From Cyrus' pure expression of horror I burst into sheer laughter probably ruining the entire moment. This however made Ghetsis even more red in the face due to pure embarrassment.

"You guys are disgusting!" Cyrus gagged while hurrying out of the living room.

Once the tired male left the room I turned back to Ghetsis his eyes in a complete daze. As something cracked in him he chuckled a tiny bit under his breath in mocking way. Apparently I wasn't the only one who enjoyed laughing at others misery, of course when it wasn't involing something all too serious. Giggling along with him he seemed to have cheered up quite a bit, at least for now.
