"Kate what's going on? "
Great the one question she wasn't ready to answer, and she didn't for now because the elevator doors opened. Castle knew something was going on and he wasn't going to push her yet, right now his main priority was to get her home to rest. When they got home she quickly went into a peaceful slumber that is until she woke up 3 hours later when a wave of nausea hit her. She rushed to the bathroom, Castle was cooking if she could just... suddenly she walked right into something soft and large and when she spun around he was there staring at her expectantly.
"When did this start?"
Well no reason to hide it now, he would never let it go.
"About two days ago"
His eyes darkened with anger
"And you still went to work after you knew that..."
And she cut him off before he could really start.
"Rick I'm pregnant "
That was the last thing he expected to hear. He was so shocked that he didn't even recognise when she left the room until she returned with the three sticks.
"When did you find out?"
"Two days ago, look Rick I would've told you before but we never discussed having kids and..."
He couldn't believe that she would think he wouldn't want kids with her.
"Kate this is great I love the prospect of having a child with you"
Kate sighed in relief, and wiped the tears running down her face.
"Thank you for not being angry at me"
Castle hugged her.
"And thank you for giving me the chance to be a father again"
He felt her head drop.
"What's wrong?"
For a moment she taught about saying nothing but changed her mind.
"I'll be a horrible mother, I'm totally messed up"
He gently pushed her so he could look her in the eyes.
"No you're not you're loving, kind, funny, strong and dedicated you'll make a great mom and bonus with our genes our baby will be gorgeous.
She smiled, he always had the right words.
They had to tell Martha and Alexis, they were worried sick when they came home and heard that Kate was upstairs sick, and the next morning when Kate had rushed out of the kitchen when she smelt the eggs, they had practically threatened death if they didn't tell what was going on so they decided to tell everybody at one time and called Jim who arrived 15 minuets later.
"Well we have something to say"
Castle announced looking at Kate
"I'm pregnant"
Jim and Martha jumped out of their seats
"I knew it"
Jim hugged Kate
"I knew it from the moment I walked through that door, you had a glow radiating off of you just like you're mother did when she was pregnant with you.
"Alexis you're okay with this right?" Kate asked
She was the only one who hadn't said anything yet
"Are you kidding? Of course I am I was just waiting for the crowd to move, I've always wanted a sibling" She said as she hugged both her father and Kate.
Alexis left first for school, then Martha left for class and then Jim left for lunch with a friend, leaving the two alone seeing that Kate had the rest of the week off. They both sat on the couch.
"Can I touch it" he asked referring to her stomach"
"Sure you don't even have to ask once we're at home"
He gently placed his hand on her stomach.
"Hey baby it's daddy, you have the most awesome mommy ever"
He looked up at Kate who had an adorable grin on her face and kissed her stomach, then rose up and gave her a soft kiss on her lips, and for the first time in two days Kate felt like everything was going to be okay.
