Chapter Thirteen
The Rangers were still trying to figure out how to get back home. They wanted to speak to their mentor. Zordon always seemed to have some kind of explanation to what was going on. And if they could get to the Command Center, Kimberly knew Billy could find them a way back to their time.
"If we can't reach Zordon, does that mean we would be trapped here forever?" Rocky stated.
"Well, Tommy's still back there. He'll come for us." Kimberly said not giving up hope that her boyfriend was not the same person who sent them into the past in the first place. She just knew deep down that it had to be another spell, Rita and/or Zedd had come up with to turn him against them.
"Assuming he knows where to look," Billy said and Kim could tell he also was hoping Tommy was truly good. "I mean, remember we are 200 years in the past, right"
"Billy, you better keep trying," the Pink Ranger encouraged.
They had been trying to reach Zordon for a while now, but there had been no response. They knew he was on the planet at the time. They didn't know why he wasn't answering them.
"Right." The Blue Ranger said bringing his communicator to his mouth. "Zordon."
There was no response.
"Guys, I still can't get through," he informed before speaking into his communicator again. "Alpha, Zordon. Alpha, Zordon, can you hear me?"
"We gotta do something," Kimberly said.
She knew they couldn't hide in these stables forever. Sooner or later they were going to be found out.
"Well, let's just morph." Rocky suggested as if morphing would even help. It wouldn't get them home and Kim was beginning to hate her train of thought. Her mind was becoming more and more pessimistic the longer they were trapped.
It wasn't long after the Red Ranger spoke that two solders find them. One of the solders looked very familiar.
"Skull?" Kim said recognizing her annoying admirer's double.
"What?" the solder said before he noticed Marissa. "Marissa, you will be punished for helping these… witches."
"They're not witches," Marissa defended.
"Leave her alone," Adam said bravely.
The solders looked like they wanted to hurt them.
"What are we gonna do?" Kim asked.
The present Tommy was still fighting his evil twin.
"Give it up, Green Ranger," he said. "You're brand of evil will never win."
The White Ranger was trying to stay positive. He wasn't feeling too good and the Green Ranger seemed to be a lot better shape than he was at the moment.
"Never," the Green Ranger said cockily. "You're the one who should be giving up."
"I'll destroy you, it it's the last thing I'll ever do," Tommy said back.
The Wizard watched them from the sidelines. He was enjoying his victory. Five Power Rangers were trapped in the past and the sixth Ranger was weakening due to the Green Ranger being created from him. It was a blissful knowing that he was the only one who held the power to make everything right. It was his wand that made everything work out so perfectly and only his wand could fix everything to the way they were.
"Alright, enough this child's play," he said. "Let's have some real action."
Tommy sucked in a deep breath. This was child's play. The Wizard was only toying with him before this moment. He didn't even want to think about what the Wizard could really do.
The Wizard of Deception raised his wand. He used its magic to trap Tommy. The White Ranger couldn't move. He was forced out of his morph and he fell to his knees too weak to hold himself up. The Wizard laughed wickedly.
"I don't think this White Ranger will interfere with our plans any further," the wizard said triumphantly. He turned to the Green Ranger. "You need to use your Dragon Dagger. We need the Dragonzord power to begin the destruction of the city. But first, pay a visit to my old friend, Zordon. Make sure he knows that it is I behind the destruction of his precious Power Rangers."
He handed the Green Ranger the Dragonzord power coin so that the Ranger could enter the Command Center.
"My revenge is sweet," the wizard said with a laugh before vanishing leaving Tommy too weak to do anything.
Back in the past the solders still had them covered. Kimberly could see that they really didn't have many options. They couldn't reach Zordon and they couldn't, in good conscience, attack the solders.
"We can't morph now," Adam said pointing out yet another option that was off the table.
"Of course not," Kim said like the idea was the worst the Black Ranger ever had. She was really getting a bit irritated by their situation. "Marissa shouldn't be punished for trying to help us."
"Alright, let me take care of this, Rocky, play along," Billy said as he approached the solders. "Um… excuse me, gentlemen, can I just have a minute of your time. I think I can explain everything.
Once again, the Blue Ranger told the story of how they ended up to Angel Grove 200 years from their time. Kimberly only hoped that the solders would believe them.
