To the reviewer who said things were going to fast, that's for a reason. John and Dave already like each other. It will slowly turn into love. The main part isn't them getting together; it's the drama and other events that happen between them or that affect them.

Sorry for the long wait ;-;

Read on~

Dave and Dirk were in the middle of an intense yelling match. Both were screaming horrible things about each other.

Dave kept saying how bad of a brother Dirk was, as he never looked out or gave a shit about him.

Dirk yelled how Dave was a burden, a pain to take care of and be around.

They didn't phyrically touch eath other, but mentally were locked in a silent war with each other. Finally, the younger blonde gave up and heaved a sigh as he turned away from his brother. He wasn't going to deal with this right now. He just couldn't. he had already, most likely, lost John.

With tears in red eyes and water in orange, the two devils stomped away from each other, both flying upward but in different direction. By the time the gathering starts, both are fuming silently to themselves.

Jake came up to Dirk with a wide smile and said, "Hello chap! Long time no see!"

"Get lost, English." He shot the angel a dark glare. Jake's smile faded and he bit his lip.

"Is something wr—"

"No! Just f*ck off, won't ya?" Dirk snapped. His boyfriend's face fell and he quickly turned and disappeared in the crowd. Regretting his words, the devil ran a hand through his blonde hair and sighed. Tonight was going to be a bad night, he could just sense it. His devil power was the ability to sense change, and he could feel a shift in the balance. He just didn't know whether it was good or bad.

So far, it seemed to be bad. He hadn't meant to snap at Jake, and he now regretted it, along with the fight with Dave. Giving a weary sigh, he looked around for Jake, orange eyes scanning every angel and devil.

With a sigh, John and Tavros walked out into the crowd. The brunette was looking around for his devil crush, who was extremely unstable and prone to kill. John didn't even know why the devil was allowed around them. He sighed as Tav caught sight of Gamzee.

"Go get him." He said rather miserably, though he gave a slight smile for him. He watched as his friend ran off into the crowd, then came face to face with Dave.

First off, he could notice a few changes in the devil. The red eyes that usually gleamed were dull, and his eyes were slightly puffy, indicating that the devil had been crying earlier. Wanting to ask what was wrong and just hug him, John brushed away the though and pursed his lips.

"What do you want?" He asked in a bitter tone. Dave sighed and said, "I want you to give me another chance."

"Why should I? I've heard from two people, one being your own brother, that you're just using me." He shot back, crossing his arms.

"I'm not, I swear!" The devil pinched the bridge of his nose. His wings looked bent as they folded behind him.

"Prove it." John challenged, blue eyes fierce as he looked into the crimson orbs.

"John, I love you." He stated simply. The angel's jaw dropped and he stared.

"You what?!"

"I said, I love you." Dave's tone was dead serious as his gaze stayed locked with John's.

"That's—" Before John could finish his sentence, a sharp scream rang out. Blue eyes widened; it sounded exactly like Tav. Whirling around, John pushed past the ground to find Gamzee, a tall angel with purple stained wings and angry dark eyes, holding Tavros by the throat. An angry looking angel with yellow eyes was trying to make him stop, but it didn't work.

Tav was making these horrible choking noises, and the devil smiled. John darted in and kneed Gamzee in the stomach. He relinquished his grip on the angel, and Tav slid to the floor. The yellow-eyed angel dragged him out of harms way. John relaxed in relief, but he had another problem—the devil was staring straight at him, mouth open in a snarl.

He tried to dodge as his hair was grasped. Letting out a cry of pain, he tried to free himself from the hold as he was slammed into the cold ground. He let out a sharp scream as one of his wings was bended the wrong way and snapped. He could feel himself starting to black out from the pain, rainbow spots dancing in his vision.

The devil let go of him, and before he completely blacked out, laying there on the ground, he caught a glimpse of worried red eyes right over him, and then a club hitting him in the face.

He soon blacked out from the pain.
