Thanks for the reviews I have a lot of ideas on how to continue this story including another set of babies and Rebecca growing up, I have already written up to a year, and if you have anything that you would like to see in the story just let me know.

Rick woke up for the third time in four hours, he headed into the nursery where Rebecca was kicking her tiny legs and twisting and turning.

It was the first night since they had came home from the hospital, he sighed when she bit his finger and started rooting, he really didn't want to have to wake up Kate, he tried to calm her down but after 5 minutes with no success, he gave up and went to wake up his wife. When he walked into the room Kate was already waiting for them, Castle observed as she helped her daughter to latch on.

"She may only be six pounds now but at this rate she'll be seven by next week." He joked

Kate rolled her eyes and looked down at the half asleep baby. "This reminds me of, my first year in the academy except I could actually drink coffee."

"Don't worry it'll get better soon from now she'll be sleeping through the night." He encouraged.

"Do you want me to take her?" he offered seeing that the baby was fast asleep again.

"Not yet I just wanna hold her for a little while."

He knew exactly how she felt, he never wanted to let her go either, he was so taken up with his taught that he hadn't even noticed that Kate had fallen asleep, He gently took the baby from her and placed her back in the crib, she whimpered and turned missing the warmth of their bodies but still went back to sleep, he smiled and put her binky in her mouth and softly chuckled when she latched onto it, that kid could suck at anytime even when she was sleeping.

He walked out of the room and checked on Kate she was already tucked under the sheets asleep again and walked back out to get a glass of water from the fridge but to his surprise Martha was there sitting down still in her party clothes having a glass of wine.

"Mother I taught you would've spent the whole night out... talking." He really didn't want to think about what his mother really did when she was out for the night.

"I was but then I realized I need some rest, so that I would have energy for when my grandchild wakes up."

She said filling her glass up again and putting the bottle away.

"Oh, well that was awfully nice of you." They sat in silence for a little while before Martha spoke again.

"So kiddo, how are you and Kate doing with parenting a new born?"

"Oh everything's great, especially Kate she's already a natural and it's only been three days."

Martha smiled "I knew she could do it, that's a great girl you've got there dear hold onto her and never let go."

"I know that mother she's the best." He said in a daze.

"Anyhow darling, I'm going to head to bed you should do the same after all you do have a new born to look after." She kissed him on his forehead and then headed up the stairs, and soon he followed and went to join his wife.

The next morning Castle turned and stretched his hand out to spoon Kate only to feel an empty spot he headed to the nursery and smiled at the scene Kate was sitting in the rocking chair putting Rebecca back to sleep he stood at the door watching them. Kate was singing a song for her as she struggled to stay awake.

"You know, she's just like you. She's sleepy but is refusing to." He walked in and stood next to them.

"Well why sleep when there are so many other fun things to do." Kate rolled her eyes he was such a big baby.

She sighed when Rebecca's eyes widened and she gave them a gummy smile it was obvious that she wasn't going to sleep anytime soon, and she was really hoping to get some more rest and by the look on Castle's face so was he.

They walked out into the Kitchen with the baby Alexis was probably at school already it was 9 o' clock already. Kate sat on the couch and switched on the television she was so sleepy and she was still sore from giving birth after all it was only four days.

"Hello dear." Martha said as she walked into the room and Rebecca gave her a large grin and she gently took the baby from her.

"Go get some rest dear you look exhausted." Kate looked at her sleepily and unsure.

"Are you sure?" she asked

"Yes dear you need your rest, I've got her."

Kate gave her a small smile. "Thank you."

She headed upstairs and when Castle came out of the kitchen he was shocked to see his mother holding his daughter and Kate nowhere to be found.

"Hey where's Kate." Martha turned her head.

"Oh I sent her to sleep, poor girl looks exhausted." She gave him a smile and he returned it.

"Thank you mother." He gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"You're welcome kiddo now go get some sleep next to your wife."

He gave Rebecca a kiss on her cheek and Rebecca grabbed the front of his shirt, he gently untangled her hands from the material and headed up the stairs.

Kate was already lying down in the bed already asleep he spooned her from behind and she turned into his chest he kissed her in her hair.

"I love you." He didn't expect an answer but still he heard a soft slur.

"I love you too."

Well hopefully I'll have another chapter up tomorrow. It's elections in my country, and if I'm lucky tomorrow will be a bank holiday.
