Sorry for the long wait! And short chapter .
Read on~
As John fell, his mind wandered to a few things. One; he loved Dave and didn't want to die yet. Two; he hoped Jade still wasn't upset with him about Dave and the whole dating-then-breaking-your-heart situation. Three; he was terrified of those flames devouring him.
He tried to extend his wings to fly, but that would just hurt a lot more, so he quickly erased that plan, folding his good wing and tucking it in comfortably as he fell.
Suddenly there were arms around him, and John's feet barely missed swooping by the fire. He screeched as he clung to whom he assumed to be Dave, gripping onto his arm tightly. They flew for a while, and John wondered where Dave was taking him. Alas, when he opened his eyes and looked up at his savior, he was horrified to find a devil with one blue eye and one red eye, drenched in a sticky yellow substance that smelled sweet, almost like honey. He struggled out of the devil's grasp and slid to the ground a few feet below, biting his lip in worry.
He hoped Dave knew where he was and came soon, because the devil was starting to laugh in a very creepy way, advancing towards John. He heard crackles, which he assumed were lightning, but the sky was dark and clear, not a cloud in sight.
John scrambled to his feet and started to run along the path. With every step he took, his shoulder ached more. Soon the path sloped, but he barely noticed as he continued to run. And then he was falling; the path had curved downwards into a 90-degree angle fall. John screamed as he tumbled through the hot, sweltering air.
He had fallen into Hell.
Dirk couldn't believe it. He was absolutely terrified for his younger brother, who was currently sobbing into his shoulder. He was hovering a little bit over the flickering flames, trying to comfort Dave.
Apparently, John had fallen off the cliff, and thanks to the flames, had turned to ash on impact, as angels. Since no one had seen John, everyone assumed he was dead. As soon as Dave had heard this news, he had broke down and nearly died by falling from a great height. But Dirk had caught him, thankfully.
Currently, he was absorbed with his own problems. He hadn't seen Jake anywhere and was dying to go look for him, but his brother needed him, and he couldn't just leave him. he sighed as he flew in the direction of Hell.
Dave cried quietly as he clung to Dirk, sniffling. His red eyes were pained and glossy with another wave of tears as he looked up at the older blonde. Dirk patted his hair soothingly.
He flew Dave down to Hell and into the volcano where their rooms were. He carefully set the boy on his bed before leaving the room, as he could provide no further comfort. Also, he needed to find Jake and make sure he was ok, along with apologizing.
John hit the ground with a loud thump, hissing in pain when his shoulder took most of the impact. He groaned as he got to his feet, wincing upon feeling blood drip from his back. He looked down at his feet and saw sharp rocks littering the ground. He looked straight up, and through the smoke and steam, could barley make out the sky from the entrance he had fallen into it.
"Wwell, look wwhat wwe have here." An arm snaked its way around John's waist, and he jumped away. At least, he tried to, because they kept a firm grip on his waist. Blue eyes were filled with fear as they landed on a devil with purple tipped wings and a purple streak in his dark hair. he had a bunch of lip and eyebrow piercings.
"C'mon, let's go have some fun." He picked up John, whose mouth was muffled, and flew upwards.
The angel kicked and punched and squirmed and struggled but it was useless. The devil's grip was too strong. Now John really was scared. He tried to bite the hand covering his mouth, but it was too far to reach, even for his buck-teeth.
John was thrown into a dark room, onto what he assumed was a bed. He whimpered and quickly backed up as he heard the lock click—the devil had locked the door. Now, even if John had a second to escape, he would fumble with the lock and be caught again. His eyes watered as the devil chuckled. The ebony looked around, not seeing where he was thanks to the darkness.
And there was a hand tilting his chin up, and he was forced to look into gold eyes.
"Don't cry, I wwon't hurt you." He murmured, moving his hand lower, and John's eyes fell shut as tears dripped down his cheeks.
He wished he had just fallen into that damn fire.
Um….I don't even know what this chapter is…..
I introduced Eridan (the creepy devil with the piercings) and Sollux (who had eaten mind honey. Or in this case, angel honey. I'll explain more in the next chapter.)
Review maybe?
