Thanks for the reviews. To me I don't think that Kate would quit her job she loves it too much and her mom doesn't have justice yet and I cannot picture Kate sitting down at home doing nothing. But maybe that's just my opinion :p
Her alarm rang at 6:30 and she started to pack up.
"Leaving Boss?" Ryan said.
"Yep, promised I'd be home by 7, you guys should get going too, it's getting late. Bye."

The first thing she saw when she got home was Castle playing with Becca and Alexis doing her homework at the table.
"Hey guys I'm home."
Castle smiled and walked to her with Becca laughing and kicking all the way to her she started holding her hands out to her, and Kate gladly took her.
"Hey sweetie." Becca grinned at her and Kate sat on the couch with her and Becca started to bounce but lost her balance after a few seconds and almost fell.
"She's been doing that since this morning I but her to sit and she started pushing her legs down and bouncing."
Since this morning? She was barely gone for a few hours and her baby had already learnt something new, could she really afford to lose so much time from her daughter's development?
Ryan called her and said that they had found Clara's parents and said that they lived in Florida and were on their way.
She spent all night with Becca until she went to sleep then she pulled the files from her briefcase and started to reread the notes made.
"I taught we agreed on not bringing your work home." Castle said taking the file from her hand and speed reading it,"
"But Becca is asleep and so is Alexis."
"So I'm still here." He knew that she could get really obsessed with solving cases, but she had her own family now and they were already losing so much time when she was at work. He couldn't ask her to quit at least not yet, she would kill him she loved her job too much.
"Try asking suspects if they usually hunt, after all that is what a bb gun is used for, now let's go to bed." He said sternly so she wouldn't question him.
She reached her hand out to him and he pulled her up.
In bed she couldn't sleep.
"Rick?" she asked hoping he hadn't fallen asleep already.
"Yes?" he was asleep but oh well he was up now.
"Did I miss much of Becca's life today?"
"No just the bouncing."
"Oh." She said sad.
"What's wrong?" He turned to face her.
"Nothing."
"Kate." He warned.
"It's just I left for a few hours, and Becca is bouncing I just don't want to miss anymore of her life."
"You could quit."
She went silent and he expected that.
"You could try cutting back on your hours."
"I already have."
He sighed. "Try cutting back on it more work ends at 4 for you."
"Okay how about 5:00 the latest."
"Fine." He wasn't exactly satisfied he wanted her to quit but it would do for now.
"Rick maybe in a few years, when we get another kid... no promises but maybe then I'll retire from my job."
He pulled her closer to him and spooned her.

The next morning when Kate got to work she was the first ones there she read the notes that Ryan and Esposito had taken and waited until the parents arrived.
"Hey boss." Ryan said tiredly and Kate rose her eye he looked rugged and not the handsome rugged.
"Jenny wants to go for our third child, so were trying again."
"Oh" Kate said understanding why he looked so unusually untidy.
"Hi we're Clara's parents." A mature man said.
"What happened to her?" The mother asked nervously.
"I'm so sorry to have to be the one to tell you this but your daughter was murdered last night."
"Nooo, oh God please no!" The mother exclaimed as the father hugged her.
Kate allowed them a moment before talking again.
"Mr and Mrs Macy I know that this is really hard but I would like to ask you a few questions."
"Of course." Mr Macy said.
"When was the last time you spoke to Clara."
"Um yesterday before she went to work, she calls us everyday."
"Okay and where does she work?"
"She's a vet."
"Does your daughter have any enemies, anyone who would want to do this to her?"
"No at least no one that we know of everyone loved Clara."
Kate wrote it down. "Okay and Clara was shot with a bb gun does anyone she knows, hunt or owns a bb gun."
They thought for a while. "Uh her ex boyfriend but they haven't spoken for months."
"And what's his name?"
"Uh, Brad, Brad Kinch." The mother responded."

At lunch Kate was still at her desk going through the files, when she heard the elevator door open and a loud babble and she looked up to see Castle and Becca walking towards her. All of the other detectives from male to female were cooing at the small laughing bundle in Castle's hands.
"Hey, I was just about to call you guys. What are you doing here?"
"Well Becca and I were walking in the park and decided to stop and take you out for lunch."
"Hey look it's Kbex." Esposito said when he and Ryan came back from running down a lead, but before anything else could happen, Montgomery came out of his office.
"There's my junior detective." By know there was a huge crowd of detectives surrounding them and Becca enjoyed every moment of it, yep she was an attention lover just like her father.
"Do you want to hold her sir?"
"Well of course." He gently took Becca from her and she gave him a gummy smile.
"Everyone back to work." He announced.
"Wow Detective and Castle you have a beautiful daughter here."
"Thank you sir I try."
This was exactly what she needed especially a case like this one to see her baby girl safe and sound.
