Hey everybody and yeah I know I'm not that behind, but I am behind again sorry trying to post these chapters whenever I can. Anyways, who would like to continue? Me and AVP5 don't own the turtles or any of the characters from the show, they belong to their rightful owners, and I only own Caitlin and AVP5 owns Chris. Hope u enjoy! Twenty-Three: Trying to get them together
2 Weeks Later…
Karai was starting to get used to staying at lair and was starting to loosen up around the turtles. It kind of reminded Caitlin of how she was like when she first joined them. Even the turtles, except for Raph were the same way when they were getting used to having Caitlin around.
But there was still one problem. Chris had been avoiding seeing Karai and Karai was being the same way.
Caitlin had been wanting to bring her brother to the lair to see Karai, but each time he would either disappear or was too busy. She wasn't sure what it was but she was hoping to get him to see Karai and talk to her soon.
She headed to the lair where she saw the turtles relaxing while Karai was training with April and Splinter watching. Leo saw Caitlin and walked over to her.
''Hi Caitlin'' he said as he kissed her head, ''everything okay?'' ''not really still trying to get Chris to come down and see Karai, it's not working real well.''
''Same with Karai, but she keeps avoiding me every time I ask her.''
''I can understand that since I've been living with Karai longer than you guys have known her.''
''How are we going to get them to talk to each other if they're too stubborn to see each other?'' Caitlin thought for a minute, before getting an idea. ''I think I just figured it out.''
*…*
Caitlin went to look for her brother, not realizing that he was already in the sewers. She soon found him and decided to follow him using her ninjas skills.
She followed him until she lost sight of him when he went to a secondary lair that he found and Caitlin tried using her powers but lost him when she came to a dead end.
''Huh, weird I thought he came down this way. Hm, maybe my powers are messed up.'' She left the dead end and went back to retrace her steps when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder.
She kicked the person knocking them down, and then saw it was her brother. ''Chris?! stop doing that!''
''Then stop hitting me!''
''Stop sneaking up on me!''
''You were trained to be a ninja. Its not my fault your skills of detecting someone from behind sucks as bad as that show Leo watches.''
''Ugh whatever! forget it. What are you doing down here?''
''Nothing, what are you doing down here?''
''Looking for you.'' ''Why? is something wrong?''
''No, just was wondering if we could go get some pizza.''
''Oh well that sounds good I guess, except didn't we eat pizza yesterday? I hope your not becoming addicted to it like Mikey is.''
''I'm not trust me, come on can we please go to the pizza pallor?''
''Sure, I could go for a slice. Anyone else coming or is it just us siblings spending time together?''
''Nope, it's just us.''
''Ah okay let's get some food then. I'll make the pizza and you stay out of the kitchen after what happened last time.''
Catilin rolled her eyes. ''It wasn't that bad.''
''The food moved.''
''Whatever. Let's just go.''

Back at the lair, Karai was just resting from training when Leo approached her.
''Hey Karai, how are you feeling?''
''I'm okay I guess'' Karai said with a shrug.
''That's good. How do you doing adjusting to your new home?'' ''It's fine. Though it's a little different than what I'm used to.''
''I understand. Caitlin went through the same thing when she first joined us. It took time, but she eventually got used to it. I know you'll be the same as well, especially with us being here for you.''
''Yeah I know.''
''So, I was wondering are you busy right now?''
''No''
''Well, want to go out for some pizza? I know a good place not far from here if your'e interested.''
''Well…I don't know, what about the Foot?''
''Don't worry. This is a place where they won't find us and where no one will think to look.''
''If you say so. Okay I'm in.''
''Great, let's go then.''

Back with Chris and Caitlin who were on their way to the pace where he worked so long ago, which was now closed up, but Chris still brings ingredients there to make pizza for the poor.
They went through another abandoned building near the pizza place and sneak in. Inside they go towards a door opening it as they go inside. Chris pulled some boxes that were against the wall aside and found a latch.
He unlocked it and the wall opened as a door into the store.''It's a good thing the old man didn't know about this. Otherwise he would be pissed.''
Caitlin nodded, ''I still can't believe he turned into a giant pizza.''
''And I can't believe Mikey ate him. That guy should have tasted awful to eat.''
''Agreed. But hey, anything made out of pizza tastes good to Mikey.''
''I still find it disgusting and that can't be good for him to eat anything made of pizza.''
''Yeah good point.''
They saw the place was still empty and boarded up. ''Okay sis, I'll make the pizza you set the plates.''
''Okay.'' Caitlin started setting up, and waited for Leo to show up with Karai. Come on, what's taking so long?
She looked through one of the boarded windows and saw they were almost there. ''Hey uh, Chris I'll be right back.''
''Okay!''
*…*
Leo and Karai arrived outside the abandoned building where Leo took Karai inside. They found the latch to open the wall to the pizza store.
Leo noticed Caitlin's signal that Chris was inside. ''Um Karai I'll be right back. I need to go pick something up back at the lair. Mind waiting here till I get back?''
''Yeah okay no problem.''
Karai went inside and passed the kitchen not noticing Chris coking the pizza. She went to sit down and then noticed the smell of pizza being cooked.
Someone's in here. She pulled out her weapon and went to find the person. She saw someone near the oven and quietly approached the person until her weapon was at the person's neck.
''Don't move.''
''Karai?'' Chris and Karai came face to face with each other and came to a surprise to see each other.
''Chris?'' she removed her weapon from his neck, ''I should be asking you that question.''
''I came here with Caitlin for bit to eat. What about you?''
''I came with Leo for…''Karai's eyes grew wide, ''they tricked us.''
''Say what now?'' Karai sighed, ''I can't believe I didn't see it. I-I should go.'' Karai turned to leave but the door was locked.
''Chris can you give me a hand? I think the doors stuck.''
''Chris tried opening the door, but he couldn't break through. He tried opening the front door, but also found it locked despite removing the boards. He looked out and saw Leo locking the door.
''Hey! What do you think your doing?!''
Caitlin talked to them through the first door Karai tried opening, ''Were doing this for your own good. You guys need to talk to each other and were not letting you until you do.''
Karai was shocked, ''Caitlin you can't do this, open the door!'' ''No I'm sorry Karai.''
''Caitlin!'' she screamed and tried to find a way out. ''Don't bother. I rebuilt this place to make sure no one breaks in or out. Just in case Pizzaface is still around.''
''So there's nothing we can do?''
''Not unless we do what they say we have to do,'' Chris let out a small sigh and pulled up a chair. ''So, let's talk then.''
Karai nodded in agreement, pulled up a chair. A moment of silence filled the air.
Leo and Caitlin noticed the two weren't talking. ''Maybe this wasn't a good idea Caitlin, maybe we should let them out.'' ''No they need this.'' Caitlin looked at Chris used her powers. Come on say something, ask her if she wants some pizza.
''So um you hungry?'' Chris asked. ''Yeah…maybe a little.''
Chris went to the back where he saw the pizza was ready. After pulling it out of the oven and cutting it into eight slices he brings it down on a table next to Karai and hands her a drink.
''Hope you like it.''
Karai nodded and took a bite, ''wow this is really good.'' ''Thanks, I did most of the cooking while the boss did nothing but sit on his fat ass.''
Karai laughed. ''Right, let's move on. What do you want to talk about?''
Chris sighed and knew they weren't getting out any time soon. He decided that the sooner they get this over with then the sooner they can get out.
''I'm sure you've probably noticed I haven't been showing up around the lair, right?''
''Yeah I have…''
''There's a reason why I haven't. When we first met before finding out the truth about you I liked you a to and I wanted to spend my time with you. After finding out why you spend time with me it hurt. It hurt to the point that I was unsure if I wanted if I wanted to see you again, but I knew because you worked for Shredder that it would be unavoidable.''
Karai was silent as she listened to Chris feeling a little heartbroken.
''When you tried to get me away from fighting Tiger Claw I thought you were lying to me like before, but after what happened I realized that you were trying to protect me. If I had listened to you I could have helped you guys against him and you wouldn't have gotten captured. That's why when I heard the turtles got Shredder's helmet to use it against him to get you out. Not just it was my fault you got captured, but because…because I still like you and I'm sorry for not believing you.''
Karai was shocked. ''Oh Chris…''
''That's why I didn't go because I was worried you feel worried about how you would feel if you saw me. Still, I'm sorry again for not being there to help you and just know that I still like you a lot.''
He placed his hand and hers and tried to smile. Karai took it and smiled, ''Chris I, I, feel the same way.''
''Y-you do?''
''When I first met you I only saw you as a target. But as time passed though like you, I began to feel something towards you that I never felt before. Chris, I…I like you.''
The two moved closer an closer to each other before they were looking into each others eyes. And then, just like that they embraced in a kiss.
*…*
Meanwhile, Caitlin and Leo saw it happening and were happy how it went. ''The plan worked,'' she looked at Leo ''told you.''
Leo nodded, ''okay your were right.'' Caitlin smiled at him as he embraced her and they kissed as well. Leo broke it, ''Looks like things are going to get better for us.'' ''Not exactly, as long as the Shredder is around we'll have to deal with him'' Caitlin said with a sigh.
Leo took her hand, ''As long as were together we will get through anything that comes our way.''
*…*
Meanwhile at Shredder's lair, Tiger Claw, Fishface, Stockman, and Rahzar were in the throne room bowing their heads.
''Not only did you four fail to retrieve the Kuro Kabuto, but you were defeated by that boy who took my daughter from me with the help of his traitorous sister.''
''We tried our best Master Shredder but there was nothing we could do.''
''I do not want to hear your excuse!'' Shredder turned towards the window and looked out at it. ''You four have disappointed me. Because of your failure my daughter is now with enemy and they have my helmet.''
''Good help is so hard to find these done huh?'' all five turned around and see someone entering the room wearing a dark cloak. ''I don't blame you for being so angry. I would be too if I had four freaks failing to get me what I want.''
Tiger Claw growled, ''who are you stranger?'' The figure turns towards Tiger Claw and scoffed. ''Quiet, kitty I'm talking to your master not his pets.''
''How dare you, I ought to wipe that smirk off your face.''
''I would like to see you try.''
Tiger Claw charged trying to attack the intruder. The figured ducked the punch, grabbed his arm, and tossed him towards the window damaging it. Tiger Claw tried to recover, but then the figure appeared in front of him with an energy blade appearing from his arm and being aimed towards his neck.
''You want to try that again?''
Tiger Claw growled, and Razhar and Fishface charged for him. Just as they came close to attacking him, they were attacked by a white blast that ended up freezing them.
Shredder looked over to see another cloaked figure entering the room.
''Impressive,'' said Shredder as the first figure releases Tiger Claw. ''Friends of yours?''
''She is,'' the figure replied as he approaches Shredder. ''Don't worry your pets here will be unfrozen in a few hours. Although next time I would put a leash on the little cat over there?''
Tiger Claw glared at the figure.
''What is your name?'' Shredder asked.
''My name is Talsein and I'm here to see if your hiring.''
After a minute of silence and staring the Shredder replied. ''I have a job in mind for you to take. That's if you are up to it.''
Talesin began smiling behind his hood as he removes it. ''When do we get started?''
