Hope you enjoy the chapter :)

"Castle I'm almost five months pregnant and I look like I'm full term with a baby." Kate complained looking into the mirror sideways to see her round tummy.

Castle wrapped his arms around her stomach. "Well you are pregnant with twins so of course your stomach will be a little bigger than if you had one child." He reminded her.

She covered his hands and smiled when his eyes widened at one of their babies kicking, then their sibling joined in.

"They have been fighting in there all morning." She told him smiling.

"They're moving around a lot." He said.

"Yea well they don't have a lot of space so things have to be a little cramped." Kate answered.

"Does It hurt?" He asked worriedly.

"No, not really, well not all the time." She answered.

Castle kissed her neck. "How are you doing since you got pregnant?"

"It's great I love being pregnant even though sometimes it makes me feel unattractive."

He scoffed, "When you're pregnant you glow, so what if your stomach is a little bigger than normal….."

"A little?" She asked her voice dull.

"Okay more than a little bigger, but the point is you've never been more gorgeous to me." He said turning her around and kissing her forehead and everything was silent for a while and Castle let her go.

"It's quiet," He said surprised.

"So?" Kate said confused.

"Becca," he said running out of the room "The house is probably destroyed by now."

Kate followed him into the room not half as worried as her husband but in his defense the last time she was quiet she was drawing food on the kitchen wall at least the paint was eggshell and the markers weren't permanent.

This time the girl was in her room on her kids tablet that Martha brought her back from her cruise with Burt.

They walked into the room and the girl looked up clearly wondering why her parents were bursting into her room and for a moment the room was completely quiet the two adults and child exchanging looks.

"Hi honey, just making sure you were okay." Castle said.

Kate hook her head, "Actually honey we have to talk to you."

Castle looked at her confused and she mouthed 'the room' to him and he nodded his head in understanding.

"Now, you know you're going to have a new little brother and sister right?" She asked.

Rebecca nodded her head.

"Well mommy and daddy's room is at the end of the hall and we need to be closer to your brother and sister's room." Kate continued.

The girl stared at her parents confused. "Why?" She asked. Why had become the girl's favourite word.

Kate closed her eyes for a few seconds, she hated when her daughter asked why.

Castle gently pressed his hand on her back letting her know that he was taking over.

"Because babies wake up sometimes during the night and we have to be close to them." He explained.

Becca crossed her arms like she knew the conversation was going down a path she knew she wouldn't like. "Why?" She asked again the attitude laced in her voice, she kind of reminded him of Kate.

Castle let out a small laughed. "Babies need constant attention." He told her.

"Why?"

He heard Kate let out a frustrated sigh, this pregnancy really left her with no patience but he had already gone through the phase with Alexis. "Well, babies can't talk so they cry because sometimes they need their diapers changed, they're hungry or they just need to be held, by their parents."

She nodded her head in understanding. "Okay daddy," She answered.

"Well our room is at the end of the hall and the room closest to ours is yours and like your dad said we need to be close to your brother and sister." Kate said.

Castle decided to get to the point. "We need to give your bedroom to your brother and sister.

Rebecca's face fell as she gave them the Kate Beckett glare.

"Where will I sleep?" She asked angrily.

"We'll find another room for you." Castle answered.

The girl folded her arms. "No," it was so quiet that they almost didn't hear her.

"What?" Kate asked, not believing her ears, she hadn't told them no since she was two.

"NO! They can't have my room, it's mine and I don't want to give it to them!" She yelled her small face turning red as she spoke."

"But honey, well find you a new room." Castle said resting his hand on her shoulder which she stubbornly shook off."

"NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! I don't want a new room, I want to keep my room, it's mine."

She walked over to her bed and laid down covering her face refusing to engage in the conversation any further.

Castle and Kate looked at each other surprised, she never reacted like that before to anything she was a very nice, obedient, little girl.

They walked out of the room. "I'll give her sometime to cool off and then I'll talk to her again when she can think clearly again." Kate said as they entered the kitchen.

Castle nodded his head. "Yup, there's obviously something else going on than just not wanting to give up her room. He agreed.

"What was all of that commotion about?" Martha asked seeing the couple walk into the room. "I heard yelling."

"It was Becca," Kate said.

Martha's eyes widened and Alexis looked up from her magazine. "Becca threw a tantrum?" She asked just as surprised as the look on her face.

Kate nodded her head.

"She never behaves like that, she's very mellowed toned and polite." Martha added.

Castle took some juice out of the fridge. "I know, we were just as surprised."

"Maybe something else is wrong other than not wanting to give up her room." Alexis said.

"That's what I said," Castle agreed.

"Well it's our job to find out what is wrong with her." Kate said.

Two hours later of not hearing her Kate walked into the girl's room, Becca was absentmindedly playing with her doll not a hint of a smile on her face.

"Hey sweetie," Kate said entering the room.

She didn't answer, she just looked up and looked back down. Kate sat down next to her and looked at her quietly for a while, before speaking.

"Becca, what's wrong? Talk to mommy." She encouraged.

Becca was just like her she was young, but some how she knew how to keep things in, if she was a little older she would have used Lanie's famous line about getting an ulcer.

For a moment it looked like she was keeping her mouth sealed shut until about two minutes later she spoke up. "Jake has a new baby brother, he said that his mommy and daddy only gives his baby brother stuff even his stuff and that they don't listen to him and that they don't even let him play with the baby."

Kate sighed, Jake was 7 and liked to scare kids younger than him.

"Well Becca I, can't promise you that we won't give the babies a lot of attention because babies do need a lot of attention, but I can promise you that we will always have time for you no matter what, you are our daughter and we will always love you, okay?"

"Okay mommy." She said a smile beginning to form on her face.

Kate kissed her head and stood up, "I'll let you get back to playing."

She got to the door when Rebecca called out for her.

"Mommy,"

Kate stopped and turned around.

"I love you," she said.

Kate grinned, I love you too." She answered before leaving the room.

Well that's it, please leave a review and suggestions are noted.

Until next time :)
