Twenty-Eight: Invasion

Meanwhile, at Shredder's lair he was sitting on his lair thinking about Karai and how she got mutated. Karai! no! he sighed, missing her. Then, Tiger Claw walked in.

''Master Shredder, the hour grows late have you made your decision?''

''They are dangerous allies, but they have provided us with much technology, asking little in return.''

''They will betray you you know this, they care nothing for the human race.'' ''Nor do I. Leave me Tiger Claw.''

Tiger Claw growled underneath his breath but left the throne room as Shredder called the Kraang as Kraang Prime appeared on the screen. ''Kraang Prime.''

''One called Shredder. Kraang must have your decision.'' ''If I help you, will you uphold your end of the bargain?''

''Kraang will deliver the ones called Splinter and the turtles.'' ''And once I find Karai, you will mutate her back to normal?''

''Kraang agrees to this, but in return Shredder then must then help Kraang conquer the city known as New York City, and then the world!''

*…*

Meanwhile, back at the lair, Donnie was preparing in his lab trying to get his new invention, the turtle mech to work while Caitlin and Leo were pacing and Mikey was sitting down in another chair.

He sat at his computer completely exhausted ''ugh, I'm so worried I can't even eat'' Donnie said as he tossed away a slice of pizza which Mikey caught ''me too.'' And ate Donnie's slice.

''You have a right to be concerned,'' Splinter said walking into the lair ''the Kraang invasion is initimate. What plans have you devised to stop it?''

''I give you my latest invention,'' Donnie said standing up ''the turtle mech! it's fully armed with rockets, flame throwers, and an electric harpoon guaranteed to stop a massive Kraang invasion army or your money back.''

Mikey was impressed, ''wow giant robots are awesome! I vote Turtle Mech!'' Leo shook his head ''but that thing isn't even ready, it could damage New York more than help it.''

''It's ready…enough.'' ''There's gotta be another way, we need to establish a second base outside the city.''

''There is no time for that Leo, the Turtle Mech is solid. If I were leader I-''

''But your'e not leader Donnie, I am.''

''Oh snap'' said Mikey watching the fight. Caitlin got in between them, ''will you guys knock if off!''

''Enough!'' Splinter shouted, ''Your egos fight one another, when we should be preparing to fight the Kraang.''

Caitlin nodded, ''he's right guys, I know that your'e feeling a lot of pressure, but we need to work together. We need to get through this. ''I have an idea of how both your plans can work.''

Leo and Donnie were suddenly interested. ''Let's hear it.'' ''Okay, we get a second base, just in case, and if we do that, Donnie can continue working on the Turtle Mech since I think that it won't be enough against what the Kraang have.''

''I agree'' said Leo, ''I do as well'' said Splinter. Donnie still wasn't so sure and he thought his plan would still work, but then again Caitlin was right. ''Yeah, I agree to.''

The brothers caught to work on possible locations, while Caitlin walked over to Splinter. ''If were going to do this, then we need to work on finding Karai, and get her somewhere safe.''

Splinter sighed, ''Karai. You are right Caitlin, we must find her.''

Suddenly they heard footsteps race into the lair, and walked out of the lab and came to a shock. It was April. And she brought a friend.

''Guys! I'm sorry about this, b-but Footbots were after us and Irma really good at keeping secrets and, um…''

''April, you have brought a stranger here?!''

''Don't worry she's cool, right Irma?''

April's friend Irma got up, dusted herself off, and picked up her glasses and when she put them back on, she came to a shock.

''T-turtles?!'' Mikey smiled at her, ''what up dog?'' Irma stared at them shocked and started wigging out. ''T-turtles…''

''Uh miss, I know we look kind of different and all but I promise were not gonna hurt you'' said Leo

Caitlin looked at her, getting a bad feeling. ''Uh guys, something's not right here…''

April slowly backed away from her, and next thing they knew, Irma's head turned out to be robotic.

''Holy chalupa!'' ''turtles, turtles, turtles!'' ''ahh!'' they screamed as Irma's body stretched out and transformed into some sort of robotic weapon. A Kraang weapon, and inside sat the scariest Kraang they've ever seen(besides Kraang Prime).

He had fangs, an eyepatch and a huge scar in his head. He glared at them laughing like mad.

''April, you gotta pick your'e friends more carefully'' said Mikey, as the others got ready to attack.

''Oh my gosh, Irma was a-''

''Kraang!'' the Kraang threw their pinball machine at them, ''lowly insects, kneel before the genius of Kraang Subprime greatest Kraang spy in all of Dimension X. The discovery of the lair was the final component needed to launch full scale invasion!''

Meanwhile, Raph, Casey, and Chris were on the rooftops of New York searching for Karai. Well, Casey was doing graffiti art in the alley while Raph and Chris with Raph looking through his telescope.

''Raph, you see anything?''

''Nothing yet. Where are you, you gotta be out there somewhere.''

They heard a camera flash, as they saw Casey in the alley taking pictures of some of the graffiti.

''Casey, what are you doing?''

Raph growled and jumped down, ''yeah were supposed to be looking for Karai. What are you doing man?''

''Hey, I'm just taking a break peeping at some awesome art'' he said pointing at a huge graffiti mural with a masked man and a girl that looked like April. ''Check it out, that is so metal.''

Chris takes a look at it and although it does look impressive, the girl near the masked man looked too much like April. "Sheesh Casey, we know you like April already. So why don't you just tell her and get it over with."

Raph chuckled a bit at that. Then glared at Casey, ''can you focus please?''

"And by focus we mean focus on helping us find Karai. You can admire your work and April later."

Casey sighed, ''Fine. But does she ever, you know, say anything about me?''

"Lets see," Chris pulls out April's diary and starts reading over several chapters. "Hmm you are mentioned in here, but that's all I can say."

Casey sighed, ''aw man.'' Raph rolled his eyes, ''guys can we focus please?''

"Fine, let's keep looking then," said Chris as he and Raph climb back up to the roof. "By the way have you guys figured out a plan on what to do to stop the Kraang invasion?''

''The guys and Caitlin were working on it in the lair.''

"Let's hope its a good one and the invasion doesn't happen until after we find Karai." Raph nodded, ''agreed.''

Raph took out his telescope again, as he spotted something on one of the rooftops. ''Guys I see her! Karai! she's slithering across the-''

Raph didn't get to finish, as he heard alarms and the cops arrived.

"Ah great the cops. Keep an eye on Casey and I'll go get Karai," Chris took off.

Raph sighed, and watched what was happening. ''Great'' Casey muttered, and then looked at the cops ''uh can I help you officers?''

''Your'e loitering kid, you know what that means.''

''Loitering? seriously? don't you got real criminals to bust or a donut shop to go to?''

''We'll figure out a charge later Casey Jones.''

''How did you know my name?'' They didn't answer him as they grabbed him, ''hey let me go!''

Casey fought them off, ''back off of me man!'' ''get in that car now punk!''

Raph kept watching, ''Casey what have you done?'' then Raph's eyes grew wide as lightening struck the sidewalk a block away and a portal opened up.

This was it. The Invasion had begun.

Casey was still trying to fight the cops off, and accidentally hit one of the cops in the face. ''Whoops.'' But it wasn't a cop, it was a Kraang. ''They're here!'' Raph jumped down and helped Casey fight them off.

''Raph what is happening?''

''The invasion started, back to the lair!''Raph shouted as they raced back to the lair as the Kraang started coming through the portals.

Meanwhile, back at the lair, the turtles, Master Splinter, April, and Caitlin were doing there best to fight off the Kraaang.

Splinter was avoiding their the blasters, Leo was trying to fight off Kraang Subprime, he threw their pinball machine at them.

While April and Caitlin were hiding, and Caitlin was doing her best to protect her. ''I knew something wasn't right'' Caitlin said ducking another laser blast. April nodded, ''this is so messed up, my best friend for the past year was a Kraang?''

Kraang Subprime cackled, ''fooled you, fooled you all!''

Caitlin and April ducked again, as Mikey raced into the kitchen fighting more Kraang droids. One was about to tackle him, but Ice Cream Kitty opened the freezer door on his head.

Then Kraang Subprime had used his blaster on him, and Mikey ran as fast as he could. ''Wipe out the lair! but the rat comes with us.''

Caitlin was shocked, she knew she needed to do something. She closed her eyes and used her powers to destroy the Kraang bots, even damaging Kraang Subprime and the broken pinball machine fell him, crushing him in the process.

But more Kraang were coming since they had a lock on where they were. Caitlin was exhausted and nearly fainted, but April caught her as Splinter watched. ''Go escape! I will hold them off.''

''Were not leaving you Sensei!'' said Leo, ''you do not have a choice, go! now!'' Leo sighed, but took Caitlin from April as they raced out of the lair.

The turtles, Caitlin and April raced through the sewers another portal opened and more Kraang charged at them. ''It is the one called the turtles.''

They started firing at them, Donnie tried to use his Bo staff to avoid the lasers, but it injured him, knocking him back and Mikey knocked out the rest.

Leo was having a hard time fighting them with Caitlin in his arms. He knew what he had to do as he looked down at her.

''Leo no you can't…''

''I'm sorry Caitlin, I have to.'' Caitlin was about to say that she would come with him, but she knew that look he had in his eyes. That he had to do this alone.

''Be careful.'' Leo nodded, and the two kissed before Leo tossed her over to Mikey who caught her. ''Run, get Donnie, Caitlin and April to safety! I'll lead them off'''

Mikey shook his head, ''we can't leave you to!'' ''just do it!'' Leo shouted as he lead the Kraang away.

''Come on Kraang over here!'' the Kraang looked at him and chased him down the tunnel, leaving the others behind.

Meanwhile, Raph and Casey were running on the roof of New York as they watched in horror as the Kraang kept coming.

''Dude this is worse than that whole technodrome thing that last year.'' Raph and Casey kept running, until they reached the street and Raph's t-phone rang. It was Mikey.

''Dude where are you?''

''Where on our to April's meet us there.''

''Rodger that, on our way.''

''On our way where?'' Chris appeared behind Raph and Casey surprising them. ''Ah!'' Raph and Casey turned around, ''dude seriously?''

"What? What's got you two so jumpy?"

''Dude, the Kraang are attacking, we need to get out of here now!'' said Casey.

Chris turns around and sees the invasion going on. "Huh, when did that happen?"

''Apparently, when you weren't looking.''

"Hey! I was trying to catch up to Karai before I noticed you guys on the roof," said Chris before refocusing on the task at hand. "Anyways, do the others know? Should we head to the lair?"

''No, they already attacked the lair, they were heading to April's apartment'' said Raph.

"Is Caitlin okay?"

''I think so.''

Chris sighed in relief. "Good. I'll meet you guys there as soon as I find Karai."

''Chris no, we need to stay together!''

"Can't hear you! Going too fast!" Chris takes off running.

Raph sighed, ''damn it! why does he always have to do this?!''

Suddenly, a much longer Kraang portal opened, and Raph and Casey couldn't believe what they saw. Kraang Prime. ''Yes! Kraang Prime returns to earth! people of earth, the Kraangforming of your world is about to begin!''
