After eating, I mostly sleep the rest of the day. Occasionally, I wake to sudden fits of coughing. Coughing up blood, concentrated with innocence in it, which soon returns to my hands when I force it back. This is definitely not good sign. Surprisingly, Jen doesn't run in and tackle me, but to be honest, it's getting a bit lonely. I push the blankets from the bed aside and stand up shakily wincing at sharp pain in my right ankle which is in a cast. The bandages on me make it hard to move as they're covering most of my body, but I have my exorcist cloak on. My left eye is bandaged as well, it was a bit damaged, but not anything permanent. By now, my right eye has healed fully due to the scar.
"You, finder, get me some crutches, and no, I'm not going to sit back down to rest" I say, snapping to a nearby Finder. He doesn't say anything, knowing how hard headed I am, and nods, grabbing some from supply closet. He walks over and helps me adjust them to my height. I try them out and use them to walk out. Halfway down the hall, Jenifer and Devyn see me, heading in the direction of the infirmary.
"DRAGON!" Says Jenifer, running over. Luckily, she stops her before she tackles me. "ARE YOU OK?!"
"Jeez, Allen told us it was bad, but not THIS bad." says Devyn, running to catch up with Jenifer.
"Yeah, I just need to get to Hevlaska and check my synchronization rate." I say, turning that way. They decide to join me and we all head for the elevator. "Where's Morgan?" I ask.
"She's on a mission. We told her what happened too."
"Ah." Is all I say as I walk onto the elevator. I press the button and we descend the many levels of the Order. When we finally reach the bottom. Hevlaska is there, waiting.
"I have been waiting for you Dragon. I heard what happened." She says.
"Seems like everyone has." I reply.
"You are here to have your innocence checked correct?" I nod and hold out one of my hands towards her. She wraps a tendril around my hand and checks my innocence until she has the percentage. "This is bad, but not too bad. You are at 47% synchronization."
"WHAT?!" I exclaim, "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME I DROPPED 50-" I stop mid-sentence as I start coughing again.
"Dragon, your innocence is telling you to calm down. It knows you strain yourself to yell, so try to keep your temper under control until it heals." She explains.
"Yeah Drag, it's probably for the best." says Devyn.
"Yeah, yeah. I know, I know" I reply, knowing this will be hard with my short tempered self. We say our goodbyes to Hevlaska and head back up to the lunch room.
"FOOD!" Jenifer shouts and runs ahead of us to get in line.
