I spend the coming days in the training room, practicing with my innocence in it's rod form. I train for hours at a time, practicing with just the rod. Twirling it, striking dummies with it, etcetera, unable to do anything else in fear of wasting it's energy. The days pass by in the same routine, slowly turning into weeks. By now, I'm fully healed, thanks to the innocence in my blood. Due to hours of training, my synchronization rate is going up, slowly but surely. I check with Hevlaska every day as my synchronization gets better. 52%, 59%, 63%.
Today, I walk out the training room, exhausted and head to the cafeteria for some early lunch since I skipped breakfast. I eat at a table by myself since I'm early for lunch. Leaning against the back wall, my rod beside my plate, thinking. I am interrupted by my thoughts as Krory sits across from me, shy as usual.
"Komui says he thinks it's time for you to have a mission." He says. I quickly stuff my face and get up, grabbing my innocence. Running out, Krory follows behind me. I run into Komui's office.
"Well, don't you look excited! Krory will be your partner for this mission." he says cheerfully.
"Of course I am, this is my first mission in WEEKS!" I say. "Where is it? Tell me, tell me, tell me!"
"Well, in Stockholm Sweden!" He says happily.
"I'll take it! Come on Kror!" I say and run out.
"Hey, wait up!" he says and runs after me. We get to the boats and hop in one as I want to save my energy for battling Akuma. The finder uses the oar and gets the boat going
Hours later, we finally arrive at our destination. Krory and I hop out the boat and look around. My right eye activates as Akuma are in the town. By the looks of them, there are about 20 Akuma in all, most level twos but a few level threes. Thankfully, I don't see any level fours, with my innocence in this condition at 63%. I make the innocence form into a small handgun.
"There are twenty Akuma just north of here," I explain to Krory, "Lots of level twos and a few level threes. You take the twos and below, I'll take the threes, I need the practice."
"Yes ma'am!" he says, happy to help and runs off to where I told him the akuma were. Following him, I prepare myself for a fight, first real one I've had in a week. When we get there, we see them crowded around a building yelling, "GET THE INNOCENCE" and such. Krory Immediately hops onto the lower level ones and begins to take them out. I charge a few bullets and fire at the higher level Akuma. Soon, all the Akuma are gone and the innocence is safely in our hands.
Krory POV
We start heading back then, Talwin flies out of Dragon's hood. It lands on her head then whispers something into her ear. Her face turns from accomplishment to complete hate. She walks over to me and puts the innocence into my hand.
"Bring this to Komui, I have something to attend to." She says sternly and walks off. I give my golem the innocence and it flies off towards the order.
"I'm not letting you go alone." I say, getting a feeling that she might need help.
"If you insist, but do not interrupt." She says, portaling us to a cave. I stand beside the cave wall and look around. On the other end of the room, stands a rather surprised Jasdevi.
"Well look who it is, the exorcists. Brought a friend this time to help you out?" He says tauntingly.
"He has nothing to do with this. He wanted to come so here he is." She says, glaring at him, and making a shield and a gun, hiding it behind the shield.
"YELLOW BOMB!" He says, the bullet in his piston changing. A bullet of electricity propels towards her. I
She charges up a shot and shoots it, countering it as the extra shocks are deflected with the shield.
"I see you've gotten quicker! RED BOMB!" he says and fires a bullet of fire at her, then another, different one, "GREEN BOMB! GO!" a bullet made of acid lands in front of her, melting the ground that causes a hole to form under her feet.
She quickly dives out the way. "Well, hours upon hours or practicing with a two foot rod really helps." She says, letting him attack while hiding her gun behind the shield and slowly charges it. Slowly, she steps sideways, waiting impatiently for his next attack.
He aims behind Dragon, "GRAY BOMB!" A bullet fires behind her and bounces off the wall, going into her shoulder.
Quickly moving her shield, Dragon fires the fully charhed bullet at him. Taking the shot in the shounder and cringes, but doesn't let it slow her down.
"WHITE BOMB!" He says, firing the countering bullet. Smirking a bit as they collide, her bullet is slowed down a bit but it powers past his and hits him. Jasdevi grunts as the bullet hits, staggering back a bit from the force. Dragon shoots a couple more as he staggers, hoping to get him down.
To her dismay, Jasdevi ducks. He fires two ricochet bullets that go into both of Dragon's shoulders, causing her to drop her guard.
"RED BOMB!" A fire bullet shoots at her, hitting her torso, causing an explosion. Getting blown back into the wall, she slides down, leaving a trail of blood and a crater in the wall where she landed. Gripping the rod tightly, she remains motionless.
"DRAGON!" I exclaim and almost start towards Jasdevi angrily. Dragon holds up a hand, stopping me in my tracks, confused.
