Hey guys, sorry for the long wait but stupid school go in the way again. Ugh. Oh well, who's ready for Return to New York? yay! okay so here's the scoop, It's broken into two parts for a few reasons and there's a bit of fluff at the beginning which I know u guys are gonna love. I don't own the turtles or any of the characters from the show, they belong to their rightful owners, I only own Caitlin and my great friend AVP5 owns Chris. Enjoy!
Thirty Four: Return to New York(part 1)
A few days later, Caitlin and Leo snuck out one morning to spend some time together. They went into the woods and climbed up into one of the trees sitting in one of the branches, watching the sunrise.
''I've missed this Leo.'' Leo smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, ''I've missed this to, more than you know.''
Caitlin smiled,''Things have been kind of crazy huh?'' Leo nodded, ''yeah they have but I'm glad we finally get a moment alone.''
''Me to.'' Caitlin sighed, ''I wish we could just stay like this don't you?'' ''I do, but we both know that we have to get back to New York.'' ''And find Master Splinter, Karai and Chris'' Caitlin spoke up.
Leo nodded, ''but for now-'' he turned her around so she was facing her and kissed lightly. ''I wanna enjoy this. You're so beautiful…Caitlin can I ask you a question?''
''Of course Leo.'' ''I want to, I mean, can-''
''Yeah?'' Leo took her hand, ''Caitlin I want to make a promise to you, to always love you, and to be with you always.'' ''Oh Leo,'' she took squeezed his hand ''that's the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me…I promise to always be with you and love you to.''
Leo smiled, ''I love you Caitlin. So much.''
''I love you to Leo'' and Leo pulled her closer as the two kissed right there in the branches of the tree.
*…*
A few hours later back at the farmhouse, the turtles, April, Casey and Caitlin were sitting around watching Tv when suddenly the Channel 6 News came on.
''Ever since the invasion that is known as the invasion of New York, humans want to know what is going on. Every thing is fine. No one human is allowed in or out of city as Kraang, uh, the military allows it. This Carlos Kraang O' Brien Gambe reporting channel 6 news.''
''Hmm,'' Mikey said staring at the Tv ''did the news guy seem a little Kraangy to you?'' Raph it him his magazine ''a little? you on the pepperoni?''
''The Kraang may have the rest of the world fooled, but not us'' said April. ''What's the plan Leo?''
''Step one is storm the castle walls. Donnie?'' ''It's not as heavily armored as the shell raiser,'' he replied pulling out a blueprint for a complete makeover of the part wagon. ''But it's more maneuverable, has more weapons, and gets better gas mileage.''
''Then let's stop jabbering and build this sucker.'' Donnie rolled his eyes but the others nodded in agreement as they headed out to the barn.
They added new weapons, tires, while Donnie and Dr. Cluckingsworth the chicken worked on the technology(Dr. Cluckingsworth was a chicken that got mutated a few weeks ago.
They also gave it some new paint, Raph adding a picture of some turtle lady named Venus. ''Seriously Raph?'' Caitlin asked looking at the picture. ''What? I think it looks awesome.''
''Have to agree with that,'' said Donnie ''Anyway, the new and improved party wagon!'' they all stood back and smiled at their work.
''It's so awesome!'' ''Alright team, let's do this.'' Donnie drove the party wagon out of the barn while the others headed back to the farmhouse to pack.
''Hey Leo!'' Leo stopped for a minute as Donnie parked the party wagon and walked up to him. ''You going to give it to her?'' Leo nodded, ''Yeah I was just about to.''
Donnie nodded and put an arm around his brother's shoulder, ''I hope she likes it.''
Leo smiled, ''I know she will.''

Caitlin smiled to herself as she looked at herself in the mirror. This is so awesome. Finally I get to wear this. She smiled even more looking at her new ninja outfit in the mirror.
She had been working on this new outfit for a few days now, knowing that she would probably need it when they headed back to New York.
The outfit was a pink and black kimono with black pants underneath, long sleeves that hung loosely around Caitlin's hands, and also a black mask. Caitlin pulled the mask over her face, ''Let's do this.''
She grabbed her new ninjato and her sword and walked out only to run into Leo. ''Leo..hey.''
Leo smiled at her, ''Hey. Wow, you look amazing.'' Caitlin blushed as she took the mask off, ''t-thanks. So…what's up?'' ''remember we were out in the woods earlier and how we made a promise to one another?''
''Yeah?''
''Well, well I…I wanted to make it official.'' Before Caitlin could say anything, he pulled out a small silver ring out of his belt.
''Oh Leo…'' '' Donnie helped me out.I have one to,'' he said showing her the ring that was a little bigger than hers. ''May I?'' Caitlin smiled, ''yes.'' he put it on her finger and she hugged him as the two shared another kiss.
''Awww'' Caitlin and Leo broke their kiss and turned seeing the others staring at them, Mikey and April smiling, while Raph, Casey and Donnie had huge grins on their faces.
''Okay,'' said Raph, ''if the lovebirds are done, let's pack it up we got a city to save.''

They headed back outside and packed up all the things they needed Casey tied up the go cart him and Donnie made, while Mikey grabbed Ice Cream Kitty. ''Come on Ice Cream Kitty we're going home.''
''Averderci Dr. Cluckingsworth,'' said Donnie as he gave her a hug. Raph rolled his eyes, ''you both sicken me.''
April tuned around and looked at the farmhouse one last time. ''Goodbye old farmhouse.'' She climbed into the front seat with Casey as Caitlin and the turtles got in the back.
''Hello New York City!'' Mikey shouted, as the party wagon drove off. Hang on we're coming Chris.
*…*
That night they started to get closer to the city. ''Alright team, first we track down Master Splinter, then we hunt for Karai and free the city'' said Leo.
''And my father'' said April, ''and my brother'' Caitlin spoke up. ''So what's the plan fearless leader ninja or all out attack?'' Raph asked Leo. ''Ninja. we park at the gate and sneak in.''
Suddenly, spotlights shone on the party wagon. ''Okay, not good.'' Mikey started to freak out, ''oh man they got us man, the jig is up home slice!''
Raph covered his mouth and tried to keep him quiet as one of military soldiers walked up to the party wagon. ''Citizen, this is EPF qurantine sector seven B, roll down your window.''
Casey sighed as he rolled down the window and grinned at the officer. ''Authorized personnel only no one goes in or out of New York City.''
''Whatever you say army dude.'' Military solider nodded and walked away. But as he did April saw something. ''You see that? it's a Kraang mind control device I bet they all have them.''
''There all controlled like invasion of the brain suckers?'' Mikey asked getting really scared now. Raph pulled his head down as the military aimed their guns at them.
But Casey was quicker. He put his hockey mask on and hit the brakes. ''Whoa!'' everyone screamed.
''Casey are you insane?!'' Caitlin screamed, but Casey ignored her and drove right through the barrier with the military firing at them.
Caitlin smacked him, ''are you freaking nuts?!'' ''yeah what were you thinking man,'' said Raph ''you got any brains behind that hockey mask?!''
''I had no choice guys, they were firing up their blasters.'' They drove through the streets of New York, but it really didn't look like New York anymore. There were crystals browning out the ground and a krathagoon on one of the rooftops.
''Whoa this is crazy…'' Caitlin said looking out the window. ''Um guys,'' Donnie spoke up ''where are all the people?''
''you think the Kraang mutated everyone?'' Leo shook his head, ''no way not possible.'' ''It's completely possible,'' said April ''I only sense a few hundred people left in the entire city. They're gone.''
Caitlin nodded, ''I can't sense anyone either. Millions of people…gone.'' The others fell silent and Casey turned into an alleyway. ''Well…one good thing, we haven't run into any Kraang- oh no! why did I open my big mouth?!''
Caitlin looked up in fear as they saw about twelve Kraang in front of them. ''It is the humans known as Casey Jones and April O'Neil and Caitlin. Kraang, eliminate for Kraang.''
''Man the defenses!'' Leo shouted, ''readying soda cannons,'' ''loading breath mints'' said Donnie and Mikey as they loaded the cannons and the car door opened. ''Fire!''
The shot the cannons at them as the Kraang yelled in pain. ''Oh it stings!'' ''let's get out of here!'' As Casey slammed the breaks running a few Kraang over.
''Take a left, there's a secret entrance to the subway right here'' said Donnie pulling out a remote and opening the entrance.
They drove around in the sewers for a few minutes before stopping and everyone climbed out. ''You think will be safe down here?'' Mikey asked looking around nervously. ''Shh,'' said Leo ''full ninja mode.''
The others nodded as they raced through the subway tunnels. ''Shh you hear that?'' Raph asked as they stopped to listen. They fell silent as a bunch of Kraang droids and mousers marched by and then quietly made their way up to balcony above them.
''Phew that was close.'' Caitlin nodded, ''way too close.'' Donnie nodded, ''April, Caitlin you think you can use your'e powers to track Splinter?''
''I can try but…well you said his mind is no longer one with his body right? which means he could be crazy, or unconscious or…who knows what.''
''Yeah,but we still need to find him.'' ''Agreed. April we should still try.'' ''Guys wait a minute,'' said Mikey ''what about the lair?''
''Good idea Mikey, let's check it out.''
*…*
The lair did not look good. In fact it was a wreck, broken Kraang droids scattered across the floor, both the pinball and video game machine destroyed, as well as everything else they had.
''Mikey, Caitlin you stay here'' said Leo as Raph and Donnie followed him. ''But I wanna-'' Caitlin and April covered his mouth keeping him quiet.
They snuck into the dojo and Splinter's room looking for any sign of him, but all they found was their family picture.'' Suddenly, one of the Kraang's machine appeared, sensing them as it started to fire.
A few seconds went by as it grew quiet, and then it shot at a rat and flew off. Leo gave the signal and they quickly raced back to the others.
''No sign of Splinter'' said Leo. ''The Kraang have some kind of freaky security system to make sure we don't come back.''
''Why not just go take it down and move back in?'' said Mikey angrily, ''I miss our home.'' ''It's not that simple Mikey,'' said Donnie ''we just can't move back-''
Suddenly, April and Caitlin screamed in pain. ''Caitlin what is it?'' Leo asked running over to his girlfriend. ''I think, I think we can sense Splinter.''
''What? really?'' ''he's close by,'' said April ''i-it's faint and he seems…different. Come on hurry!''
The others followed Caitlin and April down the tunnel. And they could not believe what they saw. It was Splinter, but he wasn't the same ninja master the turtles and the others grew to wild. He was wild. Feral. And acting like a rat.
Oh my God…his mind really is gone.
