Dinner went quickly and soon I was very tired and told the family good night before heading to bed with Brandon right behind me. "How are you feeling babe?" Brandon asked once we laid down in bed. "I'm fine just tired." I said letting out a yawn. "Well I have to tell you that I got a job today. While you were talking with Lena and I went to make the phone call. Lena has a friend that owns a pizza place and she needed a new driver so I got the job I start next week." He said and smiled. "You have a job now I need to find one." I said and he smiled a little. "She has a cashier position open. It's part time and you would only have to be at the cash register so you could have a stool or something to sit on while you're there." He said and I nodded. "That sounds like a good idea. Could you give me her number so I can call her tomorrow?" I asked and he nodded before adding, "Lena already suggested you for that job. The owner, Lisa, she said that if you wanted the job it was yours. She also told me that she can work with you being pregnant and she can work the schedule after the babies are born to where we don't always work on the same nights." He said and I let out another yawn as I nodded that I heard what he said. "Well let's get some sleep and I will call her in the morning." I said and he nodded before pulling me to him and I rested my head on his chest. The sound of his heart beating pulling me into a peaceful night's sleep.
Callie's POV
The next two months flew by with me and Brandon starting work at Lisa's Pizza. She was working with me being pregnant. She allowed me a stool to sit when I need and she always made sure that I had enough breaks to eat and use the bathroom. "Hey Callie." Lisa said coming over to where I was sitting. "Hey Lisa. What's up?" I said smiling. "You ready for your baby shower?" She asked and I smiled. Lisa, Lena, Stef, Jude, and Mariana wanted to do a baby shower with the girls for GU and all of mine and Brandon's friends from school and work. "Yeah I guess so I mean I know I need the stuff but I also hate to be the center of attention for so long." I said and she laughed. "But with two babies coming you will defiantly need all of the stuff that will be given to you. You're already four and a half months and the rest of your pregnancy will fly by in a blink of the eye." Lisa said and I smiled and nodded. "I know which is what kind of scares me but what scares me the most is that school starts next week and I'm a whale already and I'm only four months just imagine me getting bigger and bigger with these two. And either both or one of them thinks my bladder is fun to play on because it seems like I have to pee every five minutes. How am I supposed to go to school like that? I mean you are so kind here at work but the teachers at school aren't like you. None of them know what it's like to be a teenager and be pregnant especially with twins." I rambled off and Lisa laughed. "You should talk to Lena and see what the plans are for you and school. She might suggest that you be home bound for a while. And if that's the case I could give you a few more hours since I fired Talya. I need the extra help." She said and I couldn't help but laugh. Talya, Brandon's ex-girlfriend, had worked here before he and I did and when she saw us she would give us dirty looks but I will never forget the day that I started showing and she said something and Lisa heard her.
It was a normal Wednesday afternoon. Brandon was off today because Jude, Jesus and him wanted to paint the nursery already so that it would be ready for the babies. Talya was waiting tables and I was at the cash register. I had started showing earlier in the week but she hadn't seen yet. I stood up to stretch my legs and I knew Lisa was coming from the back to let me have my lunch break. That's when Talya decided to say something. "Oh so you're dating Brandon but fucking someone else. Do you even know who your baby daddy is?" she asked and I looked at her confused. "Talya I'm not you. I don't cheat on someone that I care about." I said. Lisa came around the corner looking at Talya disappointed. "What's going on here girls?" Lisa asked and Talya huffed. "She's calling me names and being rude to me." Talya said and Lisa laughed. "Nice try Talya I heard what you said to her and since you think it is appropriate to insult your co-worker and lie to your boss you are no longer working here. Today is your last day. You can either finish out your shift or leave now. Either way I think Callie and I can handle it." Lisa said and Talya's face got red. "You can't fire me. She's the one who started it!" she said making a scene. "Goodbye Talya. I will mail your last check out Friday. You are fired. Now get out of my restaurant now." Lisa said calmly. Talya huffed again before going to the break room and grabbing her stuff. She left angry but never did show her face again.
I agreed to talk to Lena because Brandon and I could use the money with the twins on the way. "Well it is time for you little miss to get to the doctor and find out what you're having. Go on now. Text me and let me know." Lisa said and I smiled and told her I would before heading to my mustang. Brandon was going to meet me there with the Stef and Lena. We were all excited to see what I was having. The family had a bet going that I would have a boy and a girl, Brandon thought it was going to be two girls, and I thought it was going to be two boys so today was the day to settle the bet.
When I pulled up I saw Brandon and moms waiting by the door. I parked and jumped out. When I reached them Brandon pulled me to him giving me the normal hey hug. "You ready for this?" Stef asked and I nodded laughing. "I am more than ready. Oh and when we get home I need to talk to the both of you if that is okay." I said as we walked in. "Of course sweets." Stef said holding the door open for me. It didn't take long to get signed in and called back. I now weighed a hundred and twenty pounds which for what the nurse said is to be expected with twins. Dr. Fisher walked in not long after I was in the room. "Nice to see you all again. Now today we are going to try and see what each baby is. What does mommy and daddy want?" she asked and I laughed. "Are entire family is betting on different things. All I want is healthy babies." I said and she smiled. "Spoken like a true mother." She said and then we went on with the ultrasound process.
We finally got to leave the doctor's office and headed for home to tell everyone the news of the twins. When we pulled up outside of the house Jude, Jesus, and Mariana were waiting outside on the front porch swing. Brandon helped me out of the car before we walked up to them. "So what are you having?" Mariana said bouncing up and down. "We are having Alexis and Benjamin." I said smiling and rubbing my every growing belly. "A boy and a girl!" Mariana said smiling. "Yup so auntie Mariana is going to have fun." I said and looked around the family. Everyone wore a smile and it was one happy day for all of us.
