Disclaimer: I own nothing and no one. I'm just writing them as I want to see them.

Reviews are a writer's coffee, they keep us going. Thank you all for the reviews. It really does help writers.

Special thanks to GTH for all his help. :-D I couldn't have gotten the last how many chapters out without you!

Hi Everyone! Isn't life wonderful? It's been so good to me lately that I haven't needed my escape of writing. I haven't forgotten you all or this story but so many fun and exciting have been happening…anyway…I am still working on my stories and I refuse to abandon them or you. Thank you so much for your patience. I do have to tell you that having so many characters doing so many different things is HARD to write. But I'm going to do this. It will not scare me…much…

Back at the hospital

"Deeks, I don't have my cuffs." Kensi told the Detective.

"Wha...What? You don't have your cuffs?" Deeks felt the man he had contained try to struggle free. "Don't even think about it! She still has her gun and if you are lucky she'll only shoot you." The man kept struggling, so Deeks added, "If you want to ever have kids….stop! She will kick you or shoot you in your cul de sac." The man looked first at Kensi then at Deeks. "I'm not joking man...she's done it before." The man looked back to Kensi who smiled at him with a raised eyebrow. The man stopped struggling.

Deeks turned back to Kensi, "Um...yea, find something to tie him up with."

Kensi looked around her and spotted a janitor leaving a janitorial closet. She called out to him as she showed him her ID, "Do you have a zip tie?" He shook his head. "We need something to restrain a suspect. Suggestions?"

The janitor, Dennis according to his name tag, looked to where she indicated and then back to the agent before him. He parked the cart he was pushing to the side and started to pull out some small pieces of wire when he spotted the electrical tape. He held it up and she was about to take it from him until she saw the roll of duct tape on the cart. She smiled at Dennis as she took the roll of grey fix-everything- tape. He smiled back and just leaned against the wall as she walked back to Deeks who still had the man in a wrist lock.

"This is what I could find." She showed him the duct tape.

He flicked his eyes between her and the tape. "You want to bind him with duct tape? That's diabolical." He was smiling as he maneuvered the suspect into position so Kensi could bind the man's wrists together. He was watching her work the tape into a figure 8 around the suspect's wrists. "You do that well. Had a lot of practice, have you?" Deeks leered at her.

She gave him a secret smile just before tossing the tape back to Dennis with a 'Thank you'. She pulled the suspect with her as she made her way back to the waiting officers.

"Kensalina? You didn't answer my question. Kiki?" He was following her trying to get an answer but was unsuccessful.

They arrived at the area where they left the officers, security guard and Chinese suspect only to find them all gone. "Deeks?"

"I don't know." Deeks was looking around and finally spotted the security guard standing outside a closed door. "Kens." He chin nodded towards the security guard and they walked over there. Deeks address the security guard since he arrived first, "What's going on?"

"Prisoner had to take a leak." The guard stepped to the side. That's when Deeks noticed the sign for the restroom.

Deeks tried to enter the room but the guard put his hand out to stop him, "Password."

Deeks smiled at the guard but his eyebrows were furrowed in confusion, "You already asked me that."

"No, I asked her. She answered. You never did. Password?"

"Cronut," Deeks replied as the restroom door opened and the officers and suspect emerged.

"That is an odd password." Lasarzek said.

Deeks turned, "It could have been worse. She's been re-reading the Harry Potter stories. It could have been HeadMaster or Quidditch or something."

Lasarzek laughed, "I'm not into that geek stuff." and pulled the Chinese man over to Agent Blye. "Agent. We are ready to go whenever you are. I see you got the man." He looked the man up and down and back up again. "Running useless it is." He said in his best 'Yoda' voice which gained him the attention of every person around him. "What?"

Deeks shook his head, "Pointdexter, go! LAPD HQ." Lasarzek just looked at him. "Put this guy," pointing at the Chinese man, "in the patrol car and drive him to LAPD HQ." There were several seconds in which nobody moved until Deeks raised his voice just a little, "NOW!" This put the young officer and his partner in gear. After they left, Deeks turned to Kensi, "and he said he wasn't into geek stuff like Harry Potter. But he has a Yoda voice?" Kensi laughed while they started to escort their suspect out of the building. Deeks stopped and shook the guard's hand. "Thank you, man. You were very helpful."

The guard was surprised because very few people ever thanked him for doing his job. He shook the blond man's hand with a silent nod of acknowledgement and watched them as they left the building.

LAPD HQ interview room

Callen, aka Martin A. Deeks, fidgeted with his briefcase. He looked between Sam (aka Williams), Jacoby and the door. Finally he walked to the door and knocked twice. The door opened to reveal the same officer that escorted Sam into the room. "What?"

Callen-Deeks looked at him. "I need a private place to talk with my client."

"Sorry. Every interview room is in use right now. This is all you got." the officer replied before shutting the door again.

Callen-Deeks exhaled a deep breath before going around Sam and sitting next to him. "Mr. Williams you are here because it was alleged that the fight tonight was fixed or in some way tampered with."

Williams started to get agitated, "NO WAY! THAT FIGHT WAS LEGIT!"

"Please calm down, Mr. Williams. I was there, I know it was legit but someone made an accusation and now the local and federal gaming commissions are involved. There's probably going to be an investigation."

"Typical," Williams grumbled. "A no rank fighter beats someone and it has be rigged." Sam turned away from both men. Jacoby was faking not paying attention to their conversation.

In the ops center, Nell was back watching the interview but was paying particular attention Jacoby and his reactions. "Callen, he doesn't care about the gaming commission. He's listening to your conversation but appears unconcerned about anything you've said."

Callen-Deeks turned to Jacoby, "Mr. Jacoby," he swallowed in faux nervousness, "as the promoter do you know anything about this investigation or why it's being done?"

"No."

Callen-Deeks waited for the man to continue but nothing else was forthcoming. He turned back to Williams. "I'm afraid it gets worse Mr. Williams." Williams turned with a raised eyebrow to look at Callen-Deeks. "It appears that the man you….forcibly assisted is in fact a Chinese National who is working at the embassy...no that's not right...just a sec…" He laid down his briefcase and pulled a piece of paper out to read, "oh yea, working at the Consul General of the Chinese Government located here in LA."

Williams raised both his eyebrows this time with a look of 'so what' on his face so Callen-Deeks continued, "because of this, the State Department and several other similar organizations are already involved. It's already considered an international incident."

Nell piped up, "that got his attention."

With that information from Nell, Callen-Deeks knew how to continue, "It seems that the men Mr. Polson & Mr. Wyler 'assisted' appear to be, um, well, just like the other man."

What Nell was doing before returning to watch interviews.

Nell had contacted several old acquaintances in an attempt to locate IDs on the men they had in custody, mostly to no avail. What information she did gather was making her nervous. The lack of available information made her even more nervous. It was time to inform Hetty of everything she knew or suspected.

She walked over to Hetty's desk and waited for Hetty to acknowledge her. It didn't take long, "Yes, Ms. Jones?"

"Hetty, I think we have a bigger problem than we thought we did."

Her ominous statement brought Hetty's full attention to the analyst. "Indeed? Please explain." She indicated that Nell should sit. "Tea Ms. Jones?"

"No thank you Hetty."

"Begin Ms. Jones." Hetty sat back to listen while enjoying her cup of tea.

"There are still some men we can't identify so I tried to contact some people in other arenas and what I got wasn't good." She took a breath. "So far no one is talking specifics but from what little I've gathered, we have stumbled into a major international hornet's nest and our involvement has made some people unhappy." She waited while Hetty took a second to think this through. Hetty nodded her head in understanding. "Everyone from Homeland to the CIA and even the Department of Energy is being tight lipped." Nell leaned back in her chair, "Either no one knows anything-which I doubt-or no one is talking."

"Or they know enough not to talk." Hetty said and Nell agreed. "Thank you Ms. Jones. I think I need to speak with Director Vance." As Hetty reached for the phone, Nell started to make her exit. "A moment Ms. Jones." Hetty arrested her motion before taking up the phone and Nell remained seated; waiting. Hetty inhaled sharply, "Please set up a secure video conference between myself, Director Vance and the DCS."

"On it." And Nell was gone.

Hetty sat back in her chair with her cup and tea and wondered exactly what the three agencies might be involved in and what could be so important to be kept so quiet. Leaks happen, they always have but not this time. Why? This was something to worry about.

Nell appeared at her desk, "Hetty, Director Vance will be on up in ops in 3 minutes."

"Coming, Ms. Jones. And the DCS?"

"Director Vance's office said they were going to make that call after you talked with him."

"mmmmm" Hetty's mouth was pursed in vexation but she continued up to the operations room's secure video room.

Director Vance's face filled the screen. "Hetty. Anything new since we last spoke?"

"Leon. It seems we are in something of a situation here. There are still several individuals who we haven't been able to identify."

Vance inhaled and leaned back in his chair. "As of yesterday, the DCS was still denying any involvement on his side." At Hetty sceptical look Vance chuckled. "I know and I agree with you. What can you tell me for sure."

"I can tell you we have several people being held at LAPD HQ. I can tell you that Bolat Niyazov is involved as is the Department of Energy. I can tell you the Chinese are involved. What I can't tell you is why. What is going on, Leon?"

Vance glanced to someone off screen and now the screen was split between the face of Director Vance and the Director of Clandestine Services, Alexander Tompkins.

"Hetty. You have really stepped in it this time." Tompkins opened. "What are you doing involving yourself in anything outside your purview?"

Hetty instantly didn't trust the DCS. His attack on her was proof to her that he was involved and involved up to his beady eyes by the sound of it. She remained calm as she replied, "I didn't involve myself in anything Mr. Tompkins." Both Directors noticed the verbal sleight of not addressing him as 'Director Tompkins'. "My team was involved through no fault of their own as I'm sure you are aware."

Tompkins' face showed that he didn't appreciate the rebuke, deserved or not. "What do you think you know?"

Hetty knew better than to reveal information, "After so many years, probably more than I ever wanted to." She played it off as a joke and just sat back and waited. She wasn't going to reveal any more information than she absolutely had to. Unfortunately, neither were the other two men. After several moments, Hetty picked a play and went with it. "Why don't you tell me why Bolat is involved. This isn't his normal bailiwick."

Now it was Tompkins' turn to figure out what to say. "He's with Kazakhstan Embassy in D.C."

"And yet, here he is, in LA." Hetty waited for the DCS to add more. When more didn't come, "Oh for God's sakes, Alexander. Just tell me what the hell is going on! We are already involved. We have your people in custody. We have Bolat and his men in custody. We have the Chinese men in custody." She eyed him for a second, "What more can you do?"

He still hesitated. Director Vance finally stepped in. "Alexander, I would hate for this to come to light. We can be...helpful if you let us. Or we can make one big stinking mess for you to clean up. Your choice of course."

Tompkins realized he really didn't have a choice and that maybe they could be useful to him. He could push the blame on to NCIS in general and these two in particular if things went south. He played his part well by hesitating a moment longer and looking resigned before he started to tell his tale.
