Ok guys we are on the home straight now, nearly there guys.

Chapter 38 -

In the centre of the village all the riders landed and were followed moments later by Hiccup, Darius and Seth, all the visiting villages had gathered around and everyone looked at the destruction that had been caused, no building was left standing, burnt wood, metal and rubble is all that remained.

Valka teared up at the sight of her village that she had lived at for years had now been turned into nothing by one of her own. Stock wrapped an arm around her to comfort her, suddenly a dragon landed infront of them, "Marrow!" Hiccup ran up to the Boneknapper and rubbed his head, "Hiccup?" A little voice asked from Marrow's back, "Liza?" Hiccup saw a little face pop up and smile, Liza jumped off Marrow and Hiccup caught her and held her tight, "Hey don't forget me!" Dyer yelled running under Marrow and upto Hiccup, who picked him up as well.

Valka ran to Hiccup and smiled seeing her children safe, Liza jumped from Hiccup and into Valka's arms, whilst Valka also smoothed Dyer's head. Hiccup placed Dyer on the ground who then ran and hugged Valka, Hiccup walked upto Marrow's head and placed a hand softly on top, "Thank you for keeping them safe, I know where ever they go, you go and I am forever grateful for your protection over them." Hiccup said as Marrow nudged Hiccup affectionately.

Hiccup and Valka walked back over to the group, Seth and Darius stepped forward "Hiccup we know your going back to Berk, and you should, you found peace and acceptance, not just we them but with yourself, your ready to face your past, and to take your place, where you belong." Seth explained, "I know guys, but you can come with us I mean..." Hiccup stated to talk but was stopped by Darius raising his hand, "Hiccup just like you will return to your village, so must we, it's a sad thought: us three splitting up, but we all now can go to our homes with pride, we will see each other again." Darius added.

Darius and Seth wrapped arms over each other shoulders and spread their outer free arms in gesture for Hiccup to join them, Hiccup needed no second thought he almost jumped into the group hug, each other tightly held their arms around each other, Silent and motionless but that's all it needed to be.

After a few moments of hugging they split and Valka walked upto Seth and Darius and gave each of them a motherly hug and thanked them for everything. Dyer and Liza ran and gave their uncles hugs and told them they will miss them. Then Stoick and the others from Berk walked up and each off them shook hands with Seth and Darius. Ruffnut tried one final attempt at flirting with Darius but only received a kind kiss on the knuckles.

Next to the group of humans another hug of sorts was taking place Toothless, Hel Flash, Silent Claw and Deathspike huddled together and each of them had their heads touching in a circle, just like their riders they were silent and motionless, until they broke away.

Then finally Hiccup hugged Seth and Darius separately saying to each of them "Brothers forever", Hiccup then also said goodbye to their dragons by rubbing their heads and thanking them. Seth and Darius then got onto their respective dragons and flew up, and each gave a final wave before heading into different directions. Hiccup knew they would see them again, but when is something he didn't know.

"Son, all the other villages are leaving, we have enough boats to get everyone back to Berk, and now that we can fly means they would be less crowed, so better move" Stoick explained to Hiccup, "I understand Dad..." Hiccup sighed but then looked towards Toothless and Hel Flash looking at him, "...But I need to set one thing right" Hiccup explained, Hiccup walked upto Hel Flash and placed a hand on his head. "I'm sorry for the suffering you've had, you thought he was your best friend, and I was the one who made you think that, thus I denied you freedom" Hiccup explained sadly, Hel Flash nudged him in disagreement, "But I'm setting things right" Hiccup said as he pulled out a dagger and cut the straps of Hel Flash's saddle to completely removed it, the Skrill looked confused but then understood, "I'm giving you back your freedom" Hiccup explained.

Hel Flash then tackled Hiccup and nuzzled him affectionately as a thank you, Hel Flash then looked at Toothless who was sad to see his friend leaving but happy that he was free, Toothless and Hel Flash then butted heads and connected their wings as a goodbye, "Hiccup then placed his head on Hel Flash's "Thank you for everything my friend, now go be free" Hiccup said as Hel Falsh launched into the air and gave a victorious roar.

Hiccup looked up and was sad to see Hel Flash go but then he felt someone grab his hand softly, he turned and saw Astrid smiling at him, Hiccup smiled back and waved at Hel Falsh who flew away to an unknown adventure.

Hiccup sighed, Toothless then nuzzled Hiccup and Hiccup rubbed his head, They both turned to the group from Berk, "Let's go home" Hiccup smiled.

A few emotional goodbyes
