Chapter 7: The Chaos Continues!

Project Pegasus

A panel on the black craft popped open, and a group of men emerged, wearing yellow battlesuits and carrying advanced plasma rifles.

"Aw, hell..." Shipwreck cursed. The creature turned around and roared at the arrivals.

"What in the-?" One of the yellow battlesuit-wearing men blinked.

"That's one ugly mother-!" Another man mumbled. Lyle Getz observed this from the craft's bridge.

"What on Earth is that thing?" Getz blinked at the creature. "Zane didn't say anything about this!"

"Oh, God! Guys!" Pietro yelped. "We got the beekeepers here!"

"But we have no bees!" Pyro answered.

"He means AIM, flamebrain!" Lance snapped.

"AIM at what?" A confused St. John blinked. Lance only groaned.

"Hey, AIM!" Lila aimed her laser crossbow. "Eat laser arrow!"

Bzz-ow!

An arrow comprised of golden energy erupted from the crossbow. It sailed through the air, eventually landing at the feet of the AIM men.

Boom!

The energy arrow exploded, knocking the men backwards onto their butts. The creature roared and charged at the downed AIM men.

"Oh geez! Out of the way!" The lead man roared. The AIM men grabbed their guns and got out of the way of the charging creature.

"Wesley!" Alpine yelled up at the flying man. "Use this!" He tossed a coiled rope, ending with a grappling hook up at the pilot.

"Thanks, pal!" Wesley grinned, catching the rope and giving the mountain trooper a jaunty salute. "Hey, hideous!" He twirled the grappling hook. "Time to corral me a monster! YEE-HAH!" He tossed the rope, and it wrapped itself around the creature's neck. "Come on, dogie! Time to come back to the farm!" He tugged at the rope, trying to pull the metal monster's back. Hissing could be heard as the

"Shoot it! Shoot that thing!" The lead AIM man ordered. The AIM men immediately blasted at the creature.

"What do we do?" Alpine blinked at the other Joes. "AIM's gotta be here after those bands!"

"Looks like we have an enemy mine situation, Alpine." Xi answered.

"Yeah." Cover Girl fired her rifle at the creature. "Let's find a way to destroy this thing, and then we deal with AIM."

"Whatever Wesley has planned, he'd better hurry." Alpine remarked, pointing at the rope. "I can see smoke!"

"That thing is covered in acid!" Lila reminded. "It's eating the rope! Wesley, hurry!"

"I hear ya, little lady!" A flying Wesley reassured. "I just need one big pull..." He yanked the rope hard, and it caused the roaring monster to fall on its back. "Hey, monster! You ever saw Dracula?" He formed a construct of a stake. "Cuz I'm gonna give ya the vampire treatment!" He plunged the construct into the creature's chest. The impact made a noise like wringing metal.

"KIIIEEEEEEE!" The creature roared, then fell limp. Wesley floated to the ground.

"Nice work, Wesley." Blue Shield complimented, patting Wesley's shoulder.

"Thanks, Shield...Huh?" Wesley looked at the gems on the bands. They were glowing brightly. "Funny, they weren't glowing like this before." Dr. Vaughn ran towards the test pilot.

"I do not like the way those gems are glowing." The scientist frowned as he examined the bands.

Ch-chack.

"Maybe we can take a look the them, Dr. Vaughn." The leader of the AIM group suggested as he and his comrades pointed their guns at the group. The Joes and the SHIELD agents pointed at them back.

"We can figure what you're here for, you ugly beekeepers." Shipwreck growled.

"You are not leaving here with the bands, AIM." Blue Shield warned.

"Yeah!" Pyro added, pointing his flamethrowers. "You are also not going to steal me Transformers!"

"Dammit, you flamebrain..." Pietro facepalmed. One of the AIM men sighed.

"Kid, we're not here to steal anyone's Transformers."

"Yeah!" Another AIM man piped up. "We're AIM! We're scientists! We can make our own Transformers!"

"Really?" Pyro blinked. "...can you guys make me one? I'd like one that turns into a space shuttle." The AIM man blinked under his helmet.

"...Kid, we're not going to talk to you anymore."

"Lucky you. We have to live with him." Pietro grumbled.

"Pal, take off the bands." The AIM man ordered Wesley.

"I can't." Wesley answered.

"He's right." Dr Vaughn confirmed. "He cannot remove them."

"They've fused themselves onto his wrists somehow." Dr. Reznek added. "We ourselves have tried to get them off him, but short of amputating his arms, there's no way to remove them."

"I guess we're just going to have to take you with us, then." The AIM man looked at Wesley.

"I ain't going anywhere with ya!" Wesley scowled. "Yer gonna have to kill me."

"Wesley, don't be a-!" Dr. Vaughn started to interrupt.

"Doc, I ain't afraid of these punks." Wesley interrupted. "I've been practicing with these bands for several hours, I know what they can do."

"Wesley, we're not completely sure what the true potential of those bands are! And I really do not like how they are glowing like that!"

"Maybe because they're like me right now, fightin' mad!" Wesley snapped, the glow of the gems on the bands slightly increasing. Meanwhile, Lila and Xi had been glancing at the creature.

"Oi, what do we do with this thing?" The British girl jerked her thumb at the metal monster's body.

"I think we got another problem at the moment, Lila." Shipwreck answered. He heard the sound of what seems like metal creaking. "What in the name of-!"

"KIEEEEEEEE!" The monster roared, making everyone turn to it.

"Oh, no!" Dr. Reznek gasped.

"What does that thing take to die?!" Pietro wailed.

"It's a ZOMBIE!" Pyro yelped.

"I put a damn stake in that thing's heart! At least, where its heart should be!" Wesley yelped as the creature reared up to its full height.

"What can we do to kill it? I'm open to ideas!" Cover Girl said.

"The magma tap!" Wendell Vaughn spoke up.

"What?" Dr. Vaughn blinked.

"The magma tap!" Wendell repeated. "This facility has a geothermal plant for one of its power sources! If we can get that creature to the magma tap..."

"We can fry the thing! Of course!" Blue Shield finished. "That place can get up to about 900 degrees Celsius. It'll burn just about anything!"

"Why does it get that hot?" Xi blinked.

"Geothermal plants generate electricity from the heat in the Earth." Lila explained. "The Earth's mantle can get up to about 900 degrees Celsius."

"Now how can we get down there, with this thing?" Wesley asked. "My constructs can't hold this thing!"

"We'll have to corral it!" Cover Girl realized. "We'll have to get it to follow us to the magma tap!"

"But we also have AIM to worry about!" Alpine reminded.

"Great!" Lance grumbled. "We're between a rock and a hard place."

"Uh, Lance?" Pietro piped up. "You're doing the rock pun thing again."

"DAMMIT!"

Well, well, well! Looks like our heroes are exactly as Lance said! What insanity will happen next? Can our heroes stop AIM and the monster? How will they do that? Find out in the next chapter! Suggestions needed badly!
