Partial answer:

Albus Dumbledore frowned as he looked around the somewhat dingy bar that his meeting was to take place in. When he had started his search, he had never imagined that it would take him to a place like this. It was in no way as bad as the Hogshead, but it was still hardly the place he cared for either. A muggle bar was not the sort of place he had imagined that he had imagined being led to.

He leaned back in his chair and lost himself in his memories over how things had come to this. It had been in Harry's second year of magical study at Hogwarts. He had just been reinstated as the Headmaster of Hogwarts. Doing so had cost him nearly every bit of good will and favor that he had. He had even had to throw Harry's name around more times than he was proud to admit. It seemed that the days of his being a power in the wizard world were rapidly coming to a close. The waning of his star and the rising of Harry's as he had seen it at the time. Once he had returned to his school and Harry, Ronald, Ginerva, and an obliviated Gildroy Lockhart had appeared followed shortly by Luscious Malfoy. Everything had been going according to his plans. So he had thought at least. Hours after a humiliated Malfoy left, he had returned with a vengeance and had Minister of Magic Fudge and a force of aurora with him. Fudge needed to see to it that someone had to pay and with Hagrid having been cleared, they needed a new scapegoat. He hadn't been around, Lockhart was a lost cause, the Weasley's while poor had many friends in high places. That left only one person to blame the mess on. The same person that had been suspected by most of the school for the past year. One Harry James Potter.

The farce of a trial had been laughable. Ordinarily he would have shut the thing down before it could have gotten that far. He had used up all capital he possessed in returning to his seat of power though, and was forced to rely on justice of the system. A system that had been perverted by the use of Malfoy gold. Delores Umbridge had led the Ministry team and he had been forced to plead the defense. The Ministry and Malfoy gold had won the day. Harry had been exiled and his wand snapped. Harry had returned to Privett Drive for a month before he had mysteriously vanished according to Mrs. Figg.

At the time he had thought that it was just as well considering that Sirius Black was attempting to enter the school under the mistaken belief that Harry was in the school. Some believed that they had actually done the boy a favor in doing as they had. When Remus Lupin and Minerva had instead managed to prove the Marauder's innocence near the end of the year. He had been shocked, as he had sworn that Sirius had been the Secret Keeper all those years ago. The Potters had even managed to fool him.

Since then he had kept his eyes and ears out looking for the boy. He had a destiny that he would be required to complete. Sooner or later the world would have need of the young man that they had cast aside. The boy had vanished though. No one knew where he gone to. He had never touched his money in Gringotts, making it even harder to try and track him. If it wasn't for the fact that he had borrowed the Potter Family tapestry, he might have been worried whether the boy was even alive. The magic in it would fade though should the last Potter die. As it was still strong that meant Harry was out there somewhere.

The time for his being needed had finally come. During the Tri-Wizard tournament something had happened during the last task. Victor Krum had been found imperioused, while Cedric Diggory and Fleur Delacour on the other hand had both vanished via an unauthorized portkey. There had been a number of rumors at the time on the persuasiveness of Veela. Miss Delacour had been found a few months later. She had been used and abused in ways that Albus shuddered to think about. He understood that the once haughty girl was now capable of having a healer use their wand on her without going into a frenzy or panic attack. Sadly there had been no information on Mr. Diggory. He suspected they would have to wait until Fleur was capable of telling them what had happened. He had little doubt that he was dead though.

It was nearly a year later that had seen Tom appearing in the Ministry to steal the prophecy orb. In the fight three Aurors had lost their lives and Amelia Bones had been heavily burned on her left side. Voldemort had returned, and they had need of Harry Potter, now more than ever.

Unfortunately there had been no sign of Harry these last few years. Every method he could think of had given him nothing. The only line of communication that they had was the one between Harry and Miss Granger. While he had done his best to encourage the communication between the pair it was nothing like what he had wanted. The pair usually traded letters once a month at best. While Miss Granger had tried to hunt him down having spent some of her vacations to research anything that he might have written. He knew because he had hired various people to follow the girl. As far as he knew they hadn't actually seen each other. He had even scanned her memories from time to time for any bit of information and come up with nothing.

With Tom having been shown, the wizarding world had practically kicked Cornelius and Deloris out of their offices. Now the goal of the government had been to find Harry Potter, so that he might be seen as a beacon of hope. Albus wondered how much help Harry would actually be to the fight though. As Severus liked to point out often and loudly the boy only had two years of formal education under his belt. Unless someone had found him and continued his training in magic the magical arts.

All of this had led him to this bar. Alastor Mad-Eye Moody, Severus Snape, Rubeus Hagrid, and Nymphronda Tonks were scattered around the room. The erudite Miss Granger was sitting next to him. According to his sources someone that was similar to Harry frequented the teen hangout. Moody and Severus had taken opposing corners. Tonks was in one of her teenage forms at the drink counter. Hagrid was sitting at a booth with a notice me not charm on him. Remus and Sirius were waiting outside should Harry decide to run for it. He couldn't think of a pair that would be more likely to keep up should he try and slip by them.

"So professor, do you really think that he'll show?" Hermione asked curiously.

"I certainly do hope so Miss Granger, I rather think that he'll be interested in learning that his exile has been lifted, and that he is allowed to not only return to the British Wizarding World, but he has once more been accepted into Hogwarts." Dumbledore told her reassuringly. "Mr. Potter will once more be amongst our number."

"Is that what this is about?" A voice hissed, as a figure slipped out of a shadow.

Dumbledore gave a start as he hadn't sensed anyone nearby. Considering his glasses carried many of the same charms that Moody's eye did it was an impressive feat to sneak up on him like that. He shook his head and examined the unexpected arrival. Most definitely not the wizard that he had been hoping to meet around the age of Miss Granger give or take a year or two. She had the same color eyes and hairs as his companion. There was a definite difference in muscle mass though. The girl before him also had hard and distrustful eyes.

"You're wizards." The girl identified as she gave them a once over taking in the wand that the old man had visible.

"Indeed." Dumbledore agreed with her. "And you are?"

"None of your business." She returned coolly. "I'm guessing your looking for Harry. That's the only peaceful reason that a wizard would be searching for us.

"You know Harry?" Hermione asked eagerly.

"Yeah I know him." The girl returned noncommittally. "What do wizards, and British wizards at that want with him though?" She questioned the pair. "I thought that you people kicked him out of the country over something that he didn't do."

"Harry has been pardoned." Dumbledore returned, not liking that the girl, seemed much more informed on who they were than they were on her. We have come to invite him back to school."

"And that takes six people?" The girl challenged. "You want to add anything else to that story?"

"I do have some personal matters that I need to discuss with him." Dumbledore admitted, wondering if Remus and Sirius had been identified as well.

"Yeah I bet you do." The girl said sarcastically. "Tell you what, you can have a meeting but on a few conditions. Just you two. Not the whole group you got here." She added with a smirk.

"And if we refuse your suggestion?"

"Then I leave, and you have to figure another way of finding him. Won't take much for me to tell him we need to keep scarce." The girl explained.

Hermione wondered just what kind of relationship that this girl had with her former best friend. Were they friends or were they something more? She had so many questions that she was dying to ask her. Was he alright, was he happy, had he been taking care of himself? She didn't want to seem like some little school girl though. Professor Snape had argued her inclusion in this mission almost as much as he had the inclusion of Sirius. With a deep breath she returned to the conversation. She did notice that the girl looking at her seemed somewhat amused. "Do you have any proof that your Harry is the Harry that we're looking for?" She asked stiffly.

"Sure." The girl replied, as she pulled a phone out. She scrolled through it for a moment before handing it to Hermione who saw a picture. The teen was older, broader in the shoulders, and their was a shadow of a smirk on his lips that hadn't been there the last time. The dark green eyes that had always seemed to look through her and know what she was thinking were the same. "It's Harry. She confirmed.

"Thank you Miss?" Dumbledore tried.

"Cora." The girl replied looking him in the eyes.

Dumbledore smiled at the girl as he stared intently at her only to frown as he saw her eyes glow yellow.

"Stay out of my head." Cora hissed angrily, letting the dull yellow grow even brighter for a moment before they returned to normal.

"What was that?" Hermione demanded, her hand inching toward her wand at the unexpected action.

"That was the old man trying to go around me and yank the information out of my head." Cora answered scowling at the group.

"That Miss Granger was a defense that is common amongst werewolves." Dumbledore explained. "Some breeds of werewolves have limited mental defenses thanks to the beast that resides within their mentality. Remus Lupin for example is of the maledicti lycanthropus or cursed werewolf breed. They are the kind that you are most likely to run into in the wizarding world. The others prefer not to become acquainted with us if they can help it. The glowing yellow eyes and the near perfect body control which our host has shown makes her likely of the Dominus lycanthropus the Master werewolf, argued by some to be the Alpha breed of all werewolves."

Hermione nodded as her mind began going everything that she had ever read about the so called dark creatures. Professor Snape had actually issued her year homework on the subject during her third year. Right now she was trying to recall everything that she had read. As the headmaster said, the Maledicti Lycanthropus was the breed that one was most likely to find in the wizarding world and the breed that there was the most information on.

"Maybe once." Cora returned, still angry at the intrusion. "Stay out of my head, or I'll show you why people don't like to annoy us." She promised him fiercely.

"I meant no offense." Dumbledore placated.

"You merely meant to lie." Cora returned. "Maybe having your people waiting at where I planned to take you?"

"Merely insuring that you meant us no harm. Something you doubtlessly did by watching our reactions." Dumbledore returned to her calmly.

Hermione frowned at the headmaster, as she realized that he truly didn't believe that he had done anything wrong to the girl. To invade a persons innermost thoughts just seemed wrong to her. A person should have the right to the privacy of their own head. That had been unneeded. The headmaster may have jeopardized any chance of their finding Harry by his rudeness. She also knew that an apology coming from her was worthless.

"Let's go." Cora huffed, as she led them out. A few minutes later a woman in her twenties appeared driving a car. "Get in." Cora snapped out. Soon they were zigging and zagging across town. They finally appeared on a country road and drove that way for a ways. They finally stopped near a field. The werewolf and the woman got out and waited for fifteen minutes before seeming to come to some sort of agreement and began walking towards the land.

The group entered and then walked another ten minutes before they came to a stop. Cora had changed slightly her ears going pointed, claws on her fingers, and her face had taken a canine like look. She raised her head and let out what Hermione could only describe as a roar. She couldn't believe that such a ferocious sound could come from someone her own age and size. The sound echoed out into the night for a moment before silence returned. "Headmaster? Do you think that Harry is a werewolf now?" She asked curiously.

"It is hard to be sure until we meet with him." Dumbledore replied. "Just because he is with the pack, does not mean he is of the pack. Many werewolf packs, particularly the Master Werewolf packs have a wizard guide who act as advisor to the packs on matters of supernatural origin. While they have no voice or vote with pack politics, they do carry a certain amount of respect. It is possible that Harry found such a person to continue his education." The pair turned to their companions, hoping for an answer but they were ignored as they had their backs to them.

A few minutes later another car appeared. Three figures climbed out. Hermione eyed the new arrivals. The leader was a large man with dark hair that was turning gray. The man was big and muscular and wearing clothes best suited for being outside. Hermione was briefly reminded of some of the stereotypical ideas of what a lumberjack might look like. On his left was a small man in baggy clothes and with what looked like purple hair he was pale skinned though. The one on the right was the one that she had traveled all the way to America to see. Birds nest hair, green eyes, and rail thin.

"Harry." The witch whispered. The men paused and glanced at their companion and chuckled. Harry merely blushed, even while giving her a smile in greeting. Hermione swallowed at that. There was no way that they should have heard her whispered comment. Not unless they all had enhanced hearing that is she thought ruefully as she remembered what Cora was.

"Dumbledore." The leader greeted. "I am pack leader or Alpha, David Kessler, wizard what is your business here?"

"My business is with Mr. Potter, or your mystic pack leader." Dumbledore returned to him.

The were frowned at the wizard. "What is this about?" David requested.

"A personal matter my dear sir." Dumbledore returned to him.

"Headmaster, perhaps it would be easier to simply tell them all." Hermione cut in before the pair started a true battle of wills. This was not a fight that she wanted, not when she was the headmasters only backup. Also not when she was so close to Harry after all these years. The boy that had fought a troll and a basilisk when she had fallen. All of her supposed superior intellect and she had to be saved both times.

Dumbledore didn't look pleased at the interruption. He seemed to come to the same conclusion that she had though. They were vastly outnumbered, and if they really wanted Harry, they were going to have to give up some information. "Very well," he conceded, "Harry, you have been pardoned and reinstated in Hogwarts." He explained, offering the teen said letter.

"I have my duties here headmaster, I'll have to consider my options." Harry answered.

Dumbledore started at the response. That had not been what he had expected from Harry. He had made a point of insuring that no other school would take Harry, to make sure that when the time came that he would jump at the chance to return. True, he had not expected for him to be surrounded by werewolves. That was something that he was sure that the boy would leave of offered Hogwarts. He had not expected for Harry to have been bitten though. He had doubts as to whether Britain would accept a Harry Potter with a werewolf bite. No matter what the breed. Him being a werewolf was something that he grew more and more sure of the more he observed him. The boy had a physique that few muggles possessed, he had enhanced senses if the hearing and lack of glasses were anything to go by, he had a confidence in the way that he moved that used to only be around him when he was flying, and there was the near possessiveness that the Alpha showed over him. Added all together spelled werewolf.

"He brought a werewolf with him." The man with colored hair noted. He frowned after a moment. "I don't recognize the breed though."

"Have Elena do it later, she's the tracker for a reason." The alpha advised. The smaller man nodded his head in agreement.

"I don't recognize it either." The blonde woman that had driven them reported. "Maybe a breed specific to wizards." She guessed.

"They did talk about knowing one earlier." Cora added.

"Really, what did you think bringing a werewolf of unknown origin into the land of another pack?" The Alpha demanded. "There are rules about one wolf entering the territory of another." David informed the confused looking magic users.

"In my defense, I had no idea that this was werewolf territory." The headmaster returned.

"Your werewolf should have known that this was claimed land." The wolf with colored hair returned to him. "By ignoring the social rules he has challenged our claim to this area."

"So am I still accepted?" Harry asked sarcastically, speaking for the first time. "Now that you know my secret that is?"

Dumbledore looked unsure. "We would have to make certain of your safety around others. Fortunately you would not be the first werewolf to walk the halls of Hogwarts and there are certain methods in place to deal with such things, There is a wolfsbane potion that stops most of the werewolf rages. Making one docile even." He informed them thinking that they would all be interested in hearing about such a thing that magic had created.

"Wolfsbane is a poison to werewolves, and you expect him to take a potion with it?" An indignant Cora demanded of the wizard. There were several mutters of agreement with the girl.

"It is perfectly safe." Dumbledore defended the potion. This was hardly the response that he had expected on sharing this bit of knowledge. "Werewolves in the wizarding world have been taking it for years without any known side effects. Hogwarts has a very accomplished Potion Master capable of brewing it."

"I have control, and there's no way in hell that I would drink something that could potentially kill me brewed by Snape." Harry returned to the headmaster.

"Professor Snape." Dumbledore corrected the young man.

"He's not my professor." Harry shot back at him. "If I want to call him an arrogant turd that never got over his issues with my dad, and the poster child for arrogant twats I will."

"One must forgive though." Dumbledore returned to his former and hopefully future student sagely.

Harry snorted at the wizard's response. "Really, and does that apply to Snape as well? He seems to have forgotten that suggestion of yours when he made his opinion of me so well known to everyone that entered the school."

Hermione found herself nodding in agreement at that. Snape did love to verbally abuse those that he thought beneath him. The fact that he often did so to her because of her friendship with Harry was largely ignored by the rest of the staff. The man was vicious and vindictive person, who never seemed to have gotten over some of his childhood issues. Of course Dumbledore had always vouched for the man.

"Harry we need you." Dumbledore pleaded. "He's back."

If anything Harry looked even angrier than he had before. "Of course he is. That's the real reason that you want me back. You want me to be the hero that none of you can be not because you actually believe that I might just happen to be innocent." He snorted in disgust at the older wizard. "You people who accused me of attacking people, trying to kill people, brainwashing a teacher. Now you expect me to be grateful when you say oops sorry, our mistake would you come and save our sorry arses from the big bad?"

David raised his hand, and the angry Harry snapped his mouth shut at the look he received from the older werewolf. "We will talk wizard." The Alpha decided. "I am not letting one of my people go simply because you asked. If one of us goes then we all go. It is a part of who you are Harry." He added at the somewhat indignant look that the teen was giving him.

Dumbledore frowned at that. Hiding the existence of one werewolf was trying, particularly when the werewolf in question would be Harry Potter, hiding an entire pack was something else all together. Besides what did they expect to do. On the other hand, having more than just Remus working to get the werewolves to either work with the light or declare neutrality would also be useful. If some of them were injured or killed then it might send them back to the states. By then he would have the advantage, and Harry would be at Hogwarts. Yes he could work with this. If they let slip their true selves it was not his fault. "We shall let you discuss the matter." The headmaster agreed, motioning for Miss Granger to withdraw alongside of him.

The Gryffindor ignored him and rushed over and gave her childhood friend a bone crushing hug. The youth staggered under the assault, but quickly returned the hug lifting her off of her feet for a moment. "You better tell me where you go next time." She scolded him with a sniff. Her eyes going watery as she held onto him.

"I'll do better." Harry promised, even as he tightened his grip on her. He then whispered in her ear. "Who knows, maybe next time I'll take you with me." The pair finally released each other although somewhat reluctantly. Dumbledore looked at them somewhat fondly as if remembering some other couple in similar position. A very red faced Hermione walked to stand next to the headmaster while the wolves discussed what they were going to do.

Dumbledore was very glad that he had chosen to bring Miss Granger with him tonight. She had unknowingly performed even better than he had hoped that she would. Even if they did try to run, Harry's assurance that he wouldn't leave her unknowing of his location meant things would be easier. Miss Granger fortunately did not see the differences when it came to species. Had Ronald been here, he feared that the red head would likely have alienated the werewolves before anything had been said or done.

"I have my doubts about working with this wizard. He is either incompetent or manipulative." David told the others calmly. "We all heard of the stories of these wizards from Harry."

"True," Oz agreed, "the question is though, will they leave us alone now that they know where Harry is? Will they leave us be, or will they bring their war to our land?"

"If that were to happen, we would also have to deal with whatever American wizards used to deal with things. If they're anything like the British we would find ourselves in a rather bad spot.

We could probably get a better deal but I think in the end we will be making the journey to their lands.

"There's also the fact that that by going to Hogwarts I would learn all sorts of new magic." Harry informed them reluctantly. Admitting a good thing about the wizarding world cost him. Probably have to do a lot of independent study to catch up." He mused to himself.

"When you have a tutor like that, I don't think there are many reasons to complain." Oz shot back at him with a smirk as he remembered another brainy girl that had dated a werewolf. "There's also the other reason to go."

"Yeah and what's that?"

"If we don't stop the big bad how many will he kill?" The Sunnydale werewolf asked looking around at the group. "This is our job."

David shook his head. "You take the wolf out of the Hellmouth.-"

"-But you can't take Hellmouth out of the wolf." The others all echoed back at him with grins. It had become something of a joke to refer to Oz and his hero tendencies as the fault of where he had grown up.

"I think that means we should do it." David decided, getting mixed looks of agreement from his pack.

"There's a certain hierarchy to a werewolf pack. A hierarchy that is based off of an actual wolf pack." Remus informed the various members of the Order who were curious about the group werewolves. "There's the Alpha/Packmaster/Leader. Their leader for all things. That's David Kessler. The Alpha is usually the most powerful of the werewolves. Considering his apparent age, that means he's not someone that you want to get on the bad side of." He warned the various people. Some of whom were holding their wands a bit to tightly for the comfort of the werewolf.

Then there's the beta/enforcer/second. Cora Hale holds that position, she may not look like much, but she's powerful. If there's fighting to happen then she is likely to be the one leading the charge. She's a hereditary werewolf. A Pureblood if you will. The Hale family used to have control over a large area of California until the family were supposedly wiped out some 10 years ago. There have been certain rumors that the family is starting to make a comeback. Whether it's just rumors or truth I have no idea."

"The one known as Oz acts as his advisor. I've never seen a werewolf that is so calm and collected." Remus admitted somewhat envious of the self control that the other werewolf seemed to possess. "It's all the more amazing when you consider what his exact breed is. He's Daemon Lycanthropus. One of the most out of control werewolves known. Possibly even fiercer than what my own wolf is capable of, and some of you have seen the results of my rages. That or you've seen what's left of the room.

"How is it possible for these werewolves to have the level of control that they say that they do?" Diggle asked. "The Ministry has clearly stated that the only way to have even the barest control is Wolfsbane."

"Yeah because the Ministry are such paragons of virtue." Sirius snorted, having become disillusioned with the Ministry long ago. "The fact that the main ingredient is poison never tipped you off that it might not be the best thing for a werewolf? There was a reason James and I refused to let you take that stuff." He added giving his friend a glare.

"It's proven to be one of the only things to slow down a werewolf's enhanced healing, allowing for the other components of the potion to work Black." Sneered in response of the escapee. "Something you would know if you had ever bothered to pick up a book."

"Oh go play with your chemistry set." Sirius shot back at him in a bored manner. "What do you think Remus, think they'll teach you?" He asked curiously.

"It's a possibility." Remus admitted. Shaking his head at his friend. Sirius had found out that a way to anger Severus just as much if not more so than his usual taunts was to act as if the man was unimportant. For a man that liked to remind everyone just how important he was to the cause this was indeed an annoyance. He shook his head as he focused back on his presentation, before the pair of them drew him into their latest game of make the other angry. "You want them to work with us, then you need to win the Alpha and Oz over. The others will follow what they decide on."

Dumbledore nodded his head having come to a similar conclusion already.

"Harry seems to have a rather interesting position in the pack. I would say it's that of the sage. Normally these are positions are ones held by allies or friends. A magic user that uses their magic to protect the pack. Being a wolf that uses magic there is no telling what his position in the pack is. Judging from the fact that he often is brought into the big meetings he may be considered one of the main enforcers of the pack though. This means he's got power amongst them."

"Harry doesn't use a wand though." Molly pointed out in confusion.

"Molly I thought you of all people would know that one does not need a wand in order to use magic." Sirius drawled out at the woman. Snape scowled as he nodded his head in agreement with his rival.

"No he doesn't, but he seems to have trained up in ritual magic as opposed to wand magic. He could be more dangerous and knowledgeable than we expected don't underestimate him." Remus advised them doing his best to look anywhere except at his former schoolmates. "We don't even know what breed of werewolf he is either."

"And the others?"

"Elena is their Hunter/Tracker, they usually work in tandem with the enforcer or Mage."

"So she's number four?"

"Probably. From what I've seen of her, I'd guess she's a Gigas Lycanthropus. Which doesn't make a lot of sense."

"Why not?"

"The Gigas Lycanthropus, aren't supposed to be able to have female werewolves. Any woman bitten by them has never survived the change as far as I know. Yet she's very obviously alive, and her transformation into a giant wolf that looks like it could pose as a dire wolf seems to indicate Gigas Lycanthropus. It could be that she's a similar breed that simply haven't heard about."

"And their two youngest members?" Tonks asked curiously. "They both appeared to at least be British. That being said they don't seem to suffer the ill effects that lycanthropy causes. Then again none of them seem to." Everyone looked at Remus who suffered from a pallid look and premature aging.

"That's because the ill effects of being a werewolf as you so nicely put it has nothing to do with being a werewolf and everything to do with the wolfsbane." Sirius pointed out to the auror.

"Ryddian and Maddie." Remus identified the pair not wanting Sirius to get on that subject again. He had made his choice to take the potion. Granted when he started taking it he had kind of hoped that it would kill him since he had been the only member of their little group left. "I'd be very careful about referring to them as werewolves. Maddie in particular seems rather sensitive to it. They're probably Gwaed Blaidd or Wolfbloods. They are actually type of hereditary beast shifter. Their form is always the wolf. I'm afraid I don't know much about them, they keep to themselves more than any of the other werewolf breeds do. They seem fairly powerful for Cubs though."

"So we have somewhere between a half dozen to a dozen or so powerful werewolves that will insist on traveling with Harry if we have any hope of bringing him back to England."

"What werewolf packs are around the Hogwarts area?"

"None. The area is believed to be to dangerous to use as territory as the ministry wouldn't like it if we were to roam so close to Hogwarts." Remus explained. Not even Greyback at the height of his power would have chanced that. If anything would have gotten a swift reaction from the Ministry it would be that."

"That may work to our advantage." Dumbledore mused out loud.

"And how do you expect to get them all to drink wolfsbane?" Snape demanded from where he had been sitting in a corner. "As I recall from what you told us they all seemed rather opposed to the potion. Much like Black here is. Despite it being the only proven method of controlling the wolf. Well other than killing the wolf that is." He added after a moment of thought.

"Considering the level of control that they all showed they may not actually need it." Remus pointed out.

Snape snorted in disbelief at that. "You don't truly believe in that dribble that they're spewing at you Lupin?" He demanded of the man. "I thought that you we're smarter than that. Everyone knows that werewolves are vicious beasts that have no self control. Even if the fairy tale that they have spun for you were true, there is no way that the ministry would allow them anywhere near the school without the potion."

"One impossible task at a time Severus. First we must convince Harry that it is in his best interest to return to Hogwarts." Dumbledore told

Hermione looked as Oz was walking with a blonde girl about his age. The pair seemed to be lost in whatever conversation that they were having. She coughed nervously to get their attention.

"Hey." Oz greeted.

Hermione frowned, the werewolf musician was the one who spoke the least. Sometimes that was helpful. At times when she was curious it wasn't such an endearing trait.

"So you must be Hermione." The blonde asked in a clearly American accent, as she offered her hand. "I'm Buffy." She explained.

"Good to meet you." Hermione replied formally.

"So your the little witch that Harry was always talking about?" The blonde asked, as she looked the other girl over.

"What, I mean who are you though?" A somewhat flustered Hermione asked.

"Human-Capricorn-pinch of Wicca-all Slayer." Buffy returned with a grin, as she listed various things that she could be counted as. "And I guess you would call me honorary pack member." She informed the other girl peeling her jacket back to show what looked like a bite mark on her shoulder. "Oz and I have been friends for a while, you could say that I was his first Alpha." She joked.

"You were." Oz assured her with conviction. David says the post of she-alpha is still open.

"Sorry, I'm done with dating older guys." Buffy returned with a grin. "Not that it's not flattering to be wanted." She added brightly.

"Are you a werewolf?" Hermione wondered, her eyes focusing on the bite mark curiously.

"Nope. Because I'm something else I can,t be a werewolf. Not that there haven't been some werewolves who wanted to make me their bitch. Last one that tried that I took his head though. He wasn't nearly as tough as everyone had been saying. Even with a wand he wasn't that impressive. Overhyped werewolf baby biter. I do have a bit of enhancement from the love bite though." She added. "It also puts me slightly into the fuzzy network."

Hermione was stunned, did this girl mean that she had been the one to deal with Greyback? Arguably the most feared werewolf in Britain? She was acting as if killing him wasn't some amazing feat. "So werewolves can't infect other magical species?" She finally asked the girl.

"Yeah. Full humans are the only thing that can be turned or changed by supernaturals." Buffy explained with a sad smile. "Then our worldview goes all tipsy like and things are never the same again. Now then, you said that there were some trolls and giant spiders in the area?" She asked her friend. "I want to see if the spiders will set off my slay-dar."

Hermione swallowed she didn't know what this girl was exactly, but it was possible that she was the most dangerous of the werewolves and their friends to have shown up.
