...One Week Later...
-The Arena-
Dean and Shelby walked into the arena and looked around she saw Nikki and Brie walking over to them "Hey you two.." Shelby smiled
"Hey Shell.." Nikki smiled as she and Brie made it over to them.
"What's going on?" Brie asked
"Nothing... we are just waiting for my family to get here..." Shelby smiled up at Dean.
"So today is the big day.. are you nervous?" Brie asked
"A little but I can't let that get to me..." Shelby smiled
"That's true... well good luck.. we will see you around.." Nikki smiled and hugged Shelby followed by Brie then both ladies walked off.
Shelby smiled and let out a slight sigh she was pretty nervous that her family was going to find out about her and Dean's marriage. Dean squeezed her hand and gave her a reassuring smile sensing she was feeling pretty nervous about it.
-Catering-
Dean and Shelby were at Catering when they saw her family walking towards them Shelby smiled and stood up out of her chair and greeted each of them with a hug. Her brothers rolled their eyes and glared over at Dean. "How are you guys doing?" Shelby asked
"Pretty good... " Audrey smiled "Your brothers have been driving me nuts they fought the whole way here.."
"Surprise surprise..." Shelby laughed causing her brothers to shoot her a look. "Well why don't we all find somewhere to catch up... we've got some things we need to talk about.." Shelby smiled back at Dean who stood up out of his chair.
"Okay honey.." Audrey smiled and her and Shelby's brothers followed behind Dean and Shelby.
-View Room-
Shelby and Dean lead them into a room everyone watched the show in they were told they could use it for some privacy. Once inside everyone turned to Shelby and Dean. "So you have something to tell us?" Audrey raises a brow.
"Oh god.. please don't tell us your pregnant.." Jason shook his head
"Oh god no..." Shelby gasped
"Thank god.." Justin sighed with relief
"So what is it?" Trey asked
"Well..." Shelby took a deep breath and grabbed Dean's hand gripping it tightly "Dean and I... w-we are married.." Shelby spoke her grip on his hand getting tighter with each word she spoke.
"That's funny... you almost had me.." Trey laughed
"Your kidding right?... there is no way.." Justin's said his eyes wide
"I'm not kidding Dean and I got married last week..." Shelby said looking up to Dean who gave her a soft smile.
"Damn Shelby... you've lost your damn mind.." Jason shook his head.
Shelby looked over to her mother who was just standing there with a blank expression on her face. "Mom.." Shelby said softly
Audrey didn't say a word she simply turned around and walked out the door letting it shut behind her.
"Oh my.." Shelby rushed out the door after her.
"Are you happy Ambrose?" Justin spat
"What are you talking about.." Dean sighed
"You've done nothing but cause problems between my mother and sister since you came back into my sisters life... " Justin spat
"It wasn't my intention.." Dean sighed and shook his head "I love your sister whether you believe it or not all I want is for your sister to be happy... that is what you should want for your sister also.."
"That is what we want for our sister.." Jason said
"She's happy with me.. but you can't see that.. she is happy we are married we are spending the rest of our lives together.." Dean said "So don't you think it'd be a good idea to get used to it?... your going to drive your sister away.."
-Outside The Arena-
Shelby found her mother outside facing a building her arms crossed over her chest. "Mom.." Shelby yelled and ran for her. "Mom... please look at me.." Shelby place a hand on her mothers shoulder.
Audrey sighed and turned around to her daughter with tears in her eyes. "Why Shelby?"
"Mom... I love Dean... " Shelby sighed
"Why would you marry him?... you never told us... don't you think I'd want to be apart of my ONLY daughters wedding?" Audrey sighed shaking her head wiping the tears that had fallen.
"I'm sorry mom.. I didn't do it to hurt you.. it was a spur of the moment thing we were in Vegas and it just happened... I love him mom I'm not sorry I married him but I am sorry that it hurt you.." Shelby explained
"Well there is nothing I can do about it is there?... " Audrey said bitterly
"Look mom.. Dean and I are planning a wedding for family and friends..." Shelby sighed "We want all of you there... we do want your support... we want this family to be strong.. and if there is this distance between us emotionally we can't be strong.."
Audrey sighed and shook her head "I just wanted to be able to be apart the biggest day of my only daughters life... but I can't do that now can I?"
"But you can... that's what the second wedding is for... " Shelby sighed
Audrey shook her head and looked at her daughter "You really love him don't you?"
"Yes mom.. more then anything... " Shelby sighed
Audrey nodded and sighed pulling her daughter into a hug. Shelby smiled and hugged her mother back. "Then I'm okay with it.. all I want is for you to be happy and if Dean makes you happy then I will have to accept him in your life..." Audrey said after pulling back from the hug.
-Viewing Room-
Audrey and Shelby walked back into the room and saw that the boys were on one side and Dean was on the other side of the room. Shelby walked over to Dean giving him a concerned look but he brushed it off and kissed her forehead.
"What's going on boy?" Audrey raised a brow.
"Nothing Dean didn't like what we had to say..." Justin sighed
"Oh really?" Both Audrey and Shelby said in unison
All three of her brothers shrugged
"You guys need to back off of him... he's not going anywhere..." Shelby sighed
"She's right..." Audrey said
All of her brothers look at their mother in shock "What?" Trey raised a brow
"They are married.. they are happy we have to let them be happy..." Audrey sighed
"I can't believe this is coming from you mom.." Jason shook his head
"Well it is... all I want is for Shelby to be happy and Dean makes her happy so we have to support her..." Audrey said sternly
Shelby smiled up at Dean who had put his arm around Shelby's waist. Shelby was so happy that her mother was accepting Dean in her life she hoped her brothers would come around soon also.
