Nor Is Fighting

Tsurugi always liked Kidokawa Seishuu, especially now because their soccer team was amazing. Back then, theirs was also great, but their soccer club today had quite a lot of applicants. Especially since Afuro Terumi was in charge of them. Tsurugi can tell, because it had been in the local newspaper.

Tsurugi walked up to the soccer club room, reminiscing the time where Tsurugi played with them when he was younger.

Walking up the stairs, he bumped into someone.

"Tsurugi?" a voice asked, quite unsure if it really was him or not.

The said person scowled and turned to the person who bumped him. Only to find out it was... "Kishibe? What are you doing here?"

"Well, this is my old school. What about you?" Kishibe asked.

"Uh... I just want to... find someone." Tsurugi swallowed.

Kishibe asked, "Who? Maybe I can help you."

Tsurugi stated, "I can do it by myself. Sorry, Kishibe."

Kishibe furrowed his eyebrows while Tsurugi rushed off to find someone. Turns out, though, it was Aphrodi all along. Tsurugi wanted to see him, though it's not like he's going to get answers from Aphrodi.

"Ah, Tsurugi. What are you doing here?" Aphrodi tapped Tsurugi's shoulder.

Tsurugi flinched and then turned to him. He stated, "Perfect. I wanted to see you."

"And why is that?" Aphrodi mused.

"Do you have a sister? A little one perhaps?" Tsurugi asked him.

Aphrodi froze and then chuckled, "She's the same age as you. How do you know? Do you want to court her perhaps?"

The thought of Tsurugi holding a hand out for the mistress made him shudder and, curiously, blush. Tsurugi stated, "No! I was just wondering..."

"Well, she's the same age as you, maybe younger. I... I never saw her ever since she was seven. She should be in high school right now, I'd think she'd like to be in Inazuma High..." Aphrodi sighed.

"She disappeared?" Tsurugi looked at him.

"Well, yes and no. I know where she is, but I don't visit her..." Aphrodi sighed, yet again.

"Why won't you?"

"She's- she's in better hands with the Family."

"What do you mean 'the Family'?"

Aphrodi looked at Tsurugi and smiled, "You already know too much. Though, please take care of my little sister. She means everything to me."

"Take care of her..." Tsurugi grumbled. "Ha! What a joke."

Tsurugi started raving as he walked back to his house, wondering about the mistress and her little plans. It was almost enough to make Tsurugi tear his hair out. Tsurugi tends to over think things, and it was quite frustrating to see.

"Ah, Kyousuke. Welcome home," his brother called him from the kitchen.

Tsurugi grunted and said, "What's for dinner, nii-san?"

Yuuichi came tumbling down the kitchen as he grinned, saying, "Come in, Kyousuke. I cooked some kimchi."

"Korean?" Tsurugi wrinkled his nose and asked, "You're taste in food is always changing."

"I'd like to try different recipes, if I can." Yuuichi's voice faded as he went inside the kitchen.

Tsurugi followed him and asked, "Well, can I eat it now?"

"Wash your hands first." Yuuichi stated.

Tsurugi did and, in no time, they were already about to munch down some kimchi. The two brothers talked, like everyday, and they never ran out of stories. Especially Yuuichi, as he was majoring in Medicine and told wacky stories about the patients that come in whenever they were observing a doctor treating a patient.

When Tsurugi laughed for the third time tonight, Yuuchi asked, "What about you, Kyousuke? Would you care to tell me about your life?"

Tsurugi paused for a moment before saying; "Just some... girl problems."

"Girls? Are you crushing on one right now?" Yuuchi asked.

Tsurugi blushed a deep red and coughed out, "No, I was not."

"Well, a tip for you, little brother... girls would never say it to you out loud that she likes you. A girl's stubborn, but that's what makes them girls anyway. If you want to know if she likes you, you have to research to find out if she likes you or not. If she likes you, great! But you have to plan to make sure she likes what you prepared etc. Now, you only have to do it and let destiny make you a path."

After a good measure of time, Yuuichi added, "It might be a lot, but it's quite worth it... if you think she's the one."

Thinking about it quite thoroughly, Tsurugi made a mental list:

-Research

-Plan

-Action

Tsurugi immediately said a clipped, "Thank you, nii-san."

Who knew courting was the same as planning a battle?

The next day, Yuu was walking down quietly at the hall of Sun Garden. Most kids avoided her, scared of her appearance and also her emotionless face, though, Yuu couldn't really care less about them. She slid her black Converses on the floor as she walked off to who knows where.

However, her destination wasn't far as she stood somewhere near the window, looking outside.

Outside, a young teenage boy was chatting up the little kids with stories. Yuu knew she won't be able to do that, as she was quite the introvert and her personality does not blend well with others. The young teenage boy wore a faded dray shirt, cargo pants and black rubber shoes. Looking at him now, Yuu realized that it was... "Shuu."

Almost immediately, Shuu looked up at the sound of Yuu's voice. How he heard that, it was beyond Yuu. She merely blamed it of his powers, sure that Shuu's powers was related to something like that. Curiously enough, the mistress never allowed anyone to tell each other's powers, save if they were both in the same sector.

Shuu found Yuu looking out the window. He excused himself and walked towards her. He greeted cheerfully, "Good morning, Yuu-chan... what are you doing up early today?"

Yuu frowned at him and snapped, "It's Yuzuki, Shuu."

"Well, I'm sorry. But, let's hang out for a bit, yeah?" Shuu grinned.

"What do you mean?"

"Let's go out. Maybe go get a coffee together?"

Yuu wrinkled her nose and replied, "But the sun's outside."

Shuu chuckled, "You're the first person I heard saying that about the sun."

Yuu scowled, "I'm serious."

"So, if the sun wasn't there, would you be considering to go hang out with me?" Shuu asked.

Yuu preferred being alone and not mingle, but Shuu would always find a way to bend that rule. Yuu replied stiffly, "Maybe."

Shuu grinned, "Good enough."

He waved a hand and, suddenly, the sun was completely out of sight, covered with gray clouds.

"Is that yours? Controlling weather?" Yuu asked.

Shuu shrugged as he stated, "Meet you outside, yeah?"

"..." Yuu nodded and then walked back towards her bedroom. Once there, she changed into a black tank top, dark-blue trousers and her emo cap. Her emo cap covered her violet headband, her headband had scarlet strips.

After finishing, she walked outside Sun Garden and found Shuu casually texting on his cellphone.

"Hey, Shuu." Yuu piped up.

Shuu looked up at her and then grinned, "Great, then let's get going!"

The two of them walked together silently. Yuu took notice of Shuu's sky blue captain's band, casually on his arm. Before Yuu could stop her mouth, she already asked Shuu, "Why do you always wear that captain's band?"

Shuu forlornly smiled at her before replying, "Why do you ask?"

"Just curious. But you can always not tell me." Yuu replied.

Shuu suddenly hugged her. The action made Yuu questioningly raise an eyebrow, thinking why Shuu would suddenly hug her. Shuu chuckled as he released her and stated, "Only you, Yuu."

"Yuzuki." Yuu snapped.

Shuu smiled and then asked, "Do you remember last year? Where I was constantly in a bad mood?"

Yuu remembered. For a few months, Shuu refused to talk to anyone but Hakuryuu, Natsumi and the mistress. His behavior seemed quite off, but Yuu didn't pay attention to him, either way. In the end, Shuu was talking to everyone after some time.

"Is that the reason?"

Shuu shook his head as he explained. "Before that, I was actually assigned to an assassination. Though it was quite far, so I grabbed some of my few friends and we walked towards the place. We successfully annihilated the king, but they sacrificed themselves so they could see me safely go through the doors. They lied to me that they would go out, that they would... follow me. In the end, I never saw them again."

"So, what goes that have to do with the captain's band?"

"They gave it to me." Shuu simply stated.

Yuu nodded and they walked farther down the street.

Sana raised a large rock and made it bend into something she thought she could use. She muffled a sigh as she ruffled her own short, but straight, brown hair in frustration when the rock simply became a large stick.

Most people told her she was quite a child, with her round face and large eyes... people assumed she was wild and crazy. In all actuality, she was timid and calm at most times. Quite opposite of her outfit where she wore light blue shorts, an electric pink tank top with a black jacket and a tie with a color scheme of gold, black and light blue. Along with that, she also wore her dark blue Converse All Stars.

Sana looked like a pop princess, though she wasn't really far from being one because she knew how to play the guitar.

Taking out her samurai sword she sung it carelessly. Soon, she realized that she had just cut a small tree in half. Embarrassed, Sana tried to fix it with her powers, but that was really out of her control.

She heard chuckling at the background. Turning quickly around, she saw Kirino Ranmaru offering her a genuine smile. Groaning, Sana commented, "I sincerely thought you were a serial killer."

"Well, I'm not. Having problems with, uh... nature?" Kirino asked as he nodded towards the tree which was cut in half. Kirino was wearing a plain black shirt, black shoes and jeans, it was unfair how good he looked with just that.

"It was an accident," Sana quickly replied.

Kirino smiled and then snapped his fingers. He asked, "Do you want to go see a movie?"

"Sure." Sana replied. Her heartbeat quickened, though, as she wondered why Kirino would ask her out. I mean, they always did hang out... but why did Sana feel that this was different? Probably because he asked her when she was practicing; usually he just merely waited for her to finish.

Now grinning, Kirino stated, "Okay, then! Did you need to get anything before going?"

"Well, let me think..." Sana thought. She always brought her phone and her wallet with her, so she guessed she didn't really left anything.

"How about going back to the house to leave your samurai sword? I know you're conscious, but I don't think the guards would appreciate that." Kirino swiftly commented.

Blushing in embarrassment, Sana cleared her throat awkwardly, "Thanks, Ranmaru."

Kirino smiled, "So, does that mean I can call you Sanada?"

"Sana is fine, honestly." Sana said.

"Well, I wanted to call you something no one ever did."

"Why?"

Kirino just merely smiled at her and asked, "So, how's your practice? Did you manage to create something good?"

Sana groaned, "No! It's frustrating!"

"You'll get the hang of it." Kirino supported and asked, "Let's go, then?"

Sana nodded.

That's how much the two trust each other, they knew each other's powers. For Sana, however, she knew there was more to Kirino's powers than just his invisibility... like there was a much bigger picture than that.

And at the back of them, the tree that was cut in half was mended back together.

Consciously, Kei pushed her light green hair at the back of her ear. She chopped the tofu perfectly, along with other vegetables she was supposed to add in her soup. Cooking dinner was Kei's specialty and her role inside the house, so she didn't really had a problem with it. Today, however, she was actually trying to rush her cooking.

Biting the inside of her cheeks, she finished chopping and started checking on the pot of water she was boiling earlier. Kei nervously tapped her black sneakers on the floor, the ends of her long brown socks flopping around.

"Kei! Are you fine there? You need help?" Fei shouted.

Kei replied, "I'm fine, Fei!"

She tried to push back the sleeves of her sleeveless white hoodie. Although she knew it was nearly impossible, Kei just can't help it. The anticipation and nervousness of this dinner made her feel agitated. Thankfully, she wore orange shorts, with a bit of lump at the end, so she felt quite comfortable, but not enough to keep away her tension.

"Geez... stop acting like a madwoman, sis. It's just Saru." Fei stated as he walked inside the kitchen.

"Exactly." Kei let out a huff.

Fei smiled in reply and asked, "What do you mean by that?"

"Nothing." Kei immediately said.

"What do you mean by nothing?" Fei prompted.

Kei stopped stirring the pot and frowned, "Well, it's just that Saru's coming over and I'm not exactly done yet..."

"Did the mistress want something from you?"

Kei sighed and continued with her cooking. She replied, "It's top secret, Fei. You know that."

Fei smiled sadly as he leaned against the counter. He asked, "Does it have to do with those girls you were teaching?"

"..." Kei paused for a moment before answering, "Everything I do is about them, nowadays."

The doorbell rang oh-so suddenly. This sound made Kei rush her cooking and tried to finish before Saryuu can even come in. However, that was far since Kei was merely cooking their soup. Kei blamed the mistress, but Kei knew she couldn't blame the mistress... sometimes, even Kei was suspicious where Tsurugi's, Kurama's, Kurumada's and Nishiki's loyalties lay.

"Good evening, everyone!" Saryuu greeted as soon as Fei opened the door.

Fei rolled his eyes and gestured for him to come in. Fei explained, "Dinner's going to come some time later, Kei's trying her best, though."

"Oh, it's fine! It makes me feel like a special guest." Saryuu stated as he walked inside, with Fei closing the door behind him.

"It'll be only a moment, Saru!" Kei shouted from the kitchen.

Saryuu barely heard her as he stared at the pictures hanging up from the wall. One picture had little Kei, little Fei and little Saryuu cuddled up together in bed. Saryuu managed a smile as he realized little Kei, who was in the middle, faced little Saryuu.

"I was hurt that she chose you over me." Fei stated as he saw what Saryuu was looking at.

Blushing, Saryuu defended, "I was looking at another picture."

"You mean where Kei is doing a fighting stance? Mom pictured that... it turned out lovely." Fei stated quietly.

Saryuu knew that Kei hated fighting, even if she was amazing at it. He remembered the time where she used to fight people who bullied others... she was somewhat heroic at that time, since most of the other kids were quite weak.

"I was eleven at that time... when a group of boys tried to attack me." Fei softly whispered.

Saryuu heard this story more than once.

"Those boys were scared of her, so they ran away. They resembled chickens yet they were more of an idiot than chickens. So, they got hit by a car and their parents blamed Kei for that." Fei sighed.

Saryuu knew how it ended: Kei stopped fighting with other people. At the first place, it wasn't really good, but Kei did it for a good cause... though, in the end, it didn't really worked out for her.

"I feel sorry." Saryuuu whispered.

Kei called out from the kitchen, "Dinner's about to start soon. Do you want me to get my whip, so I could make you sit?"

Saryuuu flinched and muttered, "And here I thought she never fought anymore."

Fei whispered back, "I know, right?

Summer break was already growing too short, but Tsurugi felt like it was just about to start.

At Tsurugi's house, inside his room, were his three friends and him... ready to start a war.

Nishiki asked him, "Why are we here, Kyousuke?"

"Yeah, what'd you bring us here for?" Kurumada asked.

Tsurugi merely grunted as he rolled open a huge construction paper. Inside was a sketch of the house where the mistress resides in, complete with the number of floors and the hallways and etc.

"How did you do this?" Kurama asked, shocked at Tsurugi.

"... I simply retraced what I remember when they toured us. And also visited the house, just in case." Tsurugi replied.

"Holy shit." Kurama stated. Kurumada and Nishiki just nodded in agreement.

"Remember where we found that computer? Well, there were quite plenty of rooms inside, so... I was thinking maybe there were lethal weapons there or something..." Tsurugi stated.

"And then what?" Kurumada asked, "I really don't know where you're going with this. Where do we go after?"

"We find the Amaterasu's office. Simple as that." Tsurugi stated.

Nishiki borrowed a pen and drew the letter A, the same way it appeared on the mistress' door.

"We find that, then? How the hell do we do that?" Kurumada asked.

Kurama seemed to think this through. He stated, "Well, it's obviously not in the West and East Halls. There are people living there, and I also doubt she'd appear in a storage room. Plus, the bathrooms are already out of the question."

Kurumada encircled the top floor of the house. He said, "That's the best bet we have."

"Actually, the only guess we have." Nishiki stated.

Tsurugi nodded and asked, "So, you know what we're going into, then?"

"Yeah, we have to make Amaterasu speak." Kurumada rolled his eyes.

Nishiki said, "Let's be honest, you've got that expression on your face."

That made Tsurugi smile.

They're going to kill the mistress? NOOOOOO!

xD So, what do you think?

Make sure to review you thoughts! :P
