Their Mission

Ru threw more daggers at the dummy, the daggers hitting at the vital points in a person.

"Now, now, you don't have to kill the dummy!" Kishibe added, "No one appreciates a person who killed others."

"Hey, Kishibe... you needed something?" Ru asked as she continued throwing more daggers.

"Nah. Just simply managed to get to the training room." Kishibe laughed, leaving out the part that he wanted to hide because they were making him clean the house since it was so trashed.

"Well, could you leave?" Ru asked.

"Nope."

"Fine."

Kishibe walked around the room and touched everything the room had. It was rather annoying for a normal person, but Ru didn't really mind, since it wasn't her house, after all.

"Hey, Hyuuga." Kishibe asked suddenly after a few moments.

This made Ru snap her head up and ask, "What?"

"You wanna drink?" Kishibe grinned.

Ru widened her eyes as she saw the vial, the same vial that makes anyone have powers once you drank it. Ru shook her head as she backed away from the little vial and said, "I'm good."

Kishibe frowned, "Why not?"

"Uh- nothing. I'm good, over here, not touching that thing." Ru grinned nervously.

"Why not?" Kishibe pressed.

"Eh, it's nothing." Ru waved it off. It's just that I'm scared of that thing!

Kishibe frowned as he read her thoughts. Why would Ru be scared of a little vial? It simply brings out your powers and that's that. It's not like it could kill you or anything, Ru should have known that, right?

"Why are you backing away?" Kishibe prompted.

Ru was about to retort, but decide against it and merely sat down on the floor as she muttered, "I'm afraid it won't work for me."

"What do you mean?" Kishibe asked, but he already knew what she meant since he already scanned her thoughts.

"I- I think that I don't have any powers like the others do." Ru admitted.

"Nonsense, Hyuuga. The mistress chose you, so I'm sure she knows that you are gifted." Kishibe comforted.

Ru shook her head and then sighed, "What if it doesn't work?"

"It will." Kishibe insisted.

Ru looked up at Kishibe and then did the impossible, she trusted him. Ru walked over to Kishibe and then drank the vial, which Ru wanted to let it out of her system but Kishibe looked at her with a look that said 'Don't do whatever you're planning to do.'

And so, the vial was empty.

"Great! First step is done, now, try to do something." Kishibe said.

Ru looked at him with confusion. "What do you mean? What am I supposed to do?"

Kishibe recalled the time where he was in the shoes of Ru. Finally, he stated, "I don't know, maybe you should touch something? All I know, Kei would probably tell you to look inside of you and release your emotions. Or something like that."

Ru scowled, but touched a table as suggested and... nothing happened.

Kishibe looked he was in deep in thought as Ru sighed. She muttered, "See? There's nothing that I can do that's special."

"Hey, cheer up. Usually you have to concentrate or something, but I don't know about that." Kishibe shrugged as he opened more cabinets to find anything that could be useful for him.

"How did you do it? I mean, release you powers?" Ru asked.

Kishibe frowned and then said, "I don't know, I just usually think about what I want to happen and it happens."

"That's all?"

"Of course, you have to know the extent of your power and all." Kishibe stated.

Ru frowned as she sat down, stumped and upset that she couldn't do anything. Kishibe looked at her with sympathy and then quickly scanned more cabinets, looking for something that could be useful for him and her.

"Hey, let's try to think. Meanwhile, we can eat some cookies." Kishibe said as he sat down next to Ru.

Ru huffed as she nodded, thinking that maybe resting could help clear her mind. She grabbed a cookie from Kishibe and ate it quickly. What she didn't see that Kishibe suddenly stopped moving all together.

"What do you think my power could be?" Ru sighed as she glanced at Kishibe.

When she realized that Kishibe was not speaking at all, she waved her arms and started saying, "Can you hear me? Kishibe! This is not funny at all! I mean, I know I'm not special but you don't have to stare at me like your frozen-"

This made Ru paused and tried to think, her heartbeat getting faster by the minute. If Kishibe was frozen... did that mean that...?

To be sure, Ru waved her hands in front of Kishibe, trying to get a reaction out of Kishibe. When he did nothing, Ru was really excited and tried to touch everything in the room. Nothing froze... except the bottle of water inside a cabinet.

"I can freeze stuff!" Ru said, her heart beating really loud.

Kishibe wanted to be excited with her, but he was kind of frozen right now. He wished his telepathy could work the other way, where he could actually communicate with people in their heads. Unfortunately, he knew that was impossible.

Ru, finally noticing that Kishibe cannot move, asked, "What do I do about you, though?"

Kishibe wanted to groan out loud and smack his head on the wall. He did not also know either, but Ru has to do something to help him out! Kishibe didn't want to be frozen forever.

Ru took a deep breath and muttered, "Concentrate... concentrate..."

And Kishibe broke free from his icy prison.

"Ah, geez." Amaterasu grumbled as she crumpled a piece of paper.

"Amaterasu? You are needed by the Jinomji Family. They want to speak with you," a man, who wore black from head to toe, stated to the young mistress. He had black hair, with the highlights of gray hair in a lot of places and gray eyes that looked bored with the expression that he really couldn't care less about you.

"Hey, Henry." Amaterasu chuckled weakly.

"Miss." Henry said impatiently.

Amaterasu sighed as she grabbed a kimono from one of her drawers. She wore it quickly and tied her blonde hair in a rather messy bun. Immediately, pupils appeared on her eyes, which were pure white before.

"You look gorgeous, miss." Henry stated swiftly.

"You don't have to look like you're being forced to say that." Amaterasu chuckled.

"You look better with pupils." Henry said.

Amaterasu brought out a mirror from her drawer and frowned at her brown eyes. She groaned, "Did this mean they're angry at me? You know how I hate my original eyes."

"They are not angry, they are impatient and they need a favor from you."

"It's bad, isn't it?"

"It depends."

"Depends on what?"

Henry looked at her with an expressionless face and stated, "On your compassion to others."

Amaterasu grunted as she said, "Take me. Now."

The hallway was long.

"Henry, was I the only one called?" Amaterasu asked him.

"Hideki was also called, along with Noriko." Henry stated.

"You mean, all of those who was assigned with Mission 107?" Amaterasu said bitterly.

"...yes."

They walked the hallway for quite a long time. After, they reached a large double door that Henry merely opened with ease. Inside was a huge ballroom with no people dancing, eating or even chatting with each other. On the middle of the room was a long table with fancy chairs all lined up.

"Amaterasu?" a deep voice called from behind.

Amaterasu wanted to die right now. She turned around and saw Hideki, a handsome boy with messy black hair, an angular face, brown eyes and a devilish smile. With that kind of physical appearance, it was no wonder that he would always flirt with girls he met... and that includes Amaterasu.

"Hideki." Amaterasu sniffed and waved.

"How are you? Is your house still amazing as ever?" Hideki grinned.

"No."

"Well, I think it's amazing and gorgeous, like the owner."

Amaterasu rolled her eyes as she pointed out, "My house is full of trash."

"I know, right?" a new girl entered the room. Her hair was pink, her eyes were brown and her face looked like it was also carefully structured by the angels. This girl, however, was the only one in the room with make-up on and made her face look more enchanting.

"Noriko, you sexy woman." Hideki winked at said girl.

"Hello, Noriko." Amaterasu greeted.

Noriko gave a big smile and said enthusiastically, "Hey guys! How's your life in your house?"

"It's been amazing," Hideki said and then looked at Amaterasu.

Amaterasu, however, did not reply to that question and merely asked Henry, "Where's the Head?"

"He will be here soon, along with his wife. They would most appreciate that you all are wearing kimonos and yukatas." Henry stated.

"Well, we wouldn't have pupils without these clothes." Hideki laughed.

"That is true." Noriko laughed along.

Hideki swung an arm over Amaterasu's shoulder and said, "And you couldn't stabilize with these."

Amaterasu looked up at him and studied his face. Up until now, Amaterasu though that the weirdest thing that happened to her was that she had always thought Hideki was handsome as hell. Now, well, she had thought that Tsurugi was definitely more handsome than Hideki.

What's happening? she questioned to herself.

Then Henry clapped his hands as he announced, "The Head is coming."

Amaterasu bit her lip, but followed Henry to the large table. She sat at the near end, with Hideki beside her and Noriko in front of them. Henry simply stood next to the chair where the Head was supposed to sit.

And then the double doors opened.

"Everyone! How are you guys?!" a laugh came shortly after.

All of them stood and bowed at the person. It was a woman, with large busts and a inhumane face. Seriously, was every face in the room constructed by angels?! Her brown hair was tied up into a bun and her beautiful warm brown eyes looked so friendly that you would think she would be a great mom. Along with the others, she wore a kimono.

"Hello, Gina-sama," everyone said in chorus.

"I'm here to break it down for you. My husband's currently busy, so he can't tell you the good news! Tomorrow, you're supposed to give us the experimental girls so we could test them. Hopefully, everyone would be alive after some tests. But, anyway, it's for the benefit of us all!" Gina giggled.

Amaterasu widened her eyes. The girls were already needed tomorrow?!

"I want the girls prepped and ready tomorrow. They're going to the Jinomji Family's house, so you must make them look as presentable as possible. Got it?" Amaterasu ordered the three trainers.

"What? No!" Kei protested, "They're not ready yet."

"Plus, the house is pretty destroyed because of Saru's gun fight with the maids." Yuu pointed out.

"It's not his fault! Tsurugi asked him to do it!" Kei defended her friend.

Yuu rolled her eyes and stated, "He had a choice, didn't he?"

"Stop, guys." Sana said. The two stopped bickering, but continued to send each other glares.

Amaterasu sighed and said, "Thank you, Sana-!"

"Why do you follow them? It's really unfair, we don't even know what they're gonna do to the girls!" Sana blurted out.

Amaterasu sighed and said, "They just have to."

"I don't think that's a good enough reason, mistress... or, you know, Amaterasu," another voice popped in.

Amaterasu snapped up and saw Kirino, along with Shindou, Hakuryuu, Shuu, Kishibe, Kariya, Yukimura, Saru, Ibuki and Amemiya at the doorway. All of them went inside, with their eyes looked fully determined.

"Ah, so all of you now know who I am." Amaterasu smiled and then clapped her hands. The lights turned on and they saw the mistress for the first time.

"Amaterasu, please don't... let them take those girls." Shindou told her.

"There's really nothing I can do." Amaterasu said.

"Why not? Why can't you do it for us? We are your subordinates, right? Please do it for us." Sana pleaded.

Amaterasu shook her head.

Kariya slammed the table as he spoke, "So, you're not gonna stop them?! They're our friends! We can't let the 'Jinomji Family' take them away from us!"

Amaterasu sighed and then raised her hand. "I really can't do anything about it. I'm sorry."

Her subordinates looked at her with disgust in their eyes, along with disbelief.

"I used to look up to you. But... were you always this weak?" Hakuryuu whispered.

"... If you won't do something, we'll protect them." Yukimura said.

Amaterasu can only lean on her chair and look down in defeat as every one of her subordinates went out the door to tell the girls the bad news.

Hopefully, they'll be able to protect them.
