Kidnapped
Ai frowned and asked, "W-why... why are we needed again?"
"You are needed by the Jinomji Family for some experiment or whatever." Kariya grumbled.
Sato growled, "That's really unfair! Why should we follow them?!"
Yukimura furrowed his eyebrows and said, "Amaterasu seems to do what they order. We really don't know much, we always thought that there was only one house and this was it."
"I have a feeling," Shuu added, "that there is more to the world we don't know. Maybe there are plenty of houses that holds gifted people like us."
Ibuki agreed, "Maybe that is what it is. In any case, we should figure out how to protect these girls so they wouldn't be captured."
Kari gulped and asked, "What would you plan to do anyway?"
"Maybe follow you around." Ibuki shrugged.
Miya asked, "So, you're planning on stalking us?"
"If that's how to keep you safe," Amemiya continued, "then I'll gladly do it."
Miya blushed profusely and replied, "I was being sarcastic."
Eri groaned, "Please tell me you're not going to fucking do that."
"We can follow you around or plant a camera in your body so we can see what you guys are doing. Your choice." Shindou listed out.
"Well, then, we really don't have much of a choice, do we? Both of those options suck." Kairi prompted.
"Not for us. We can hang out with you in the first choice and, in the second choice, we get to see you guys when you need to change clothes or-" Hakuryuu was cut off by Kairi.
"I choose the first choice!" Kairi shouted with her cheeks burning red.
Ru agreed, "For all of us, I think it's safer to choose the first choice."
"Well, if that's the case, I vote on stalking Hyuuga!" Kishibe grinned.
Ru blushed and shouted, "Oh, stop it! Kishibe!"
Sana laughed, "I think it is fair for the boys to pick the girls they're going to protect."
Yuu shook her head and remarked, "What if the girls do not like that?"
"I don't think that would be the issue at all. I mean, all of the girls are blushing hard." Kei pointed out.
Saru, who came out of nowhere, put an arm around Kei and swiftly said, "Maybe they like each other."
Kei jumped in surprise and hit Saru as she scolded him, "Bakazaru! You shouldn't scare people like that!"
Meanwhile, Kirino walked up to Sana and said, "Sanada, I think it's time we all got out of the house."
"That's also what I've been thinking." Sana whispered.
"After, well, you wanna eat at the new diner in town?"
"Sure, Ranmaru." Sana replied as she rolled her eyes.
Hearing that, Yuu looked at Shuu who was busy typing something at the computer. She walked up to him and said, "Sana and Kirino are planning to evacuate. Shuu, I think it's time to stop looking at the Jinomji Family's files."
Shuu huffed, "This would be much easier with Yukimura but that guy has a love interest."
Fiddling with the small pocket knife she had in her pocket, Yuu glanced at Yukimura who was busy laughing with Sato. Yuu whispered out loud, "Love interest...?"
Shuu, hearing the girl's whisper, stopped typing and then looked up at Yuu. He smiled and then said, "Yuu, do you have any love interests?"
Yuu glared at him and then spat, "It's Yuzuki."
"You didn't answer my question."
"I'm going back to Sun Garden." Yuu grumbled and turned around, that's when you could see the faint outline of pink on her cheeks.
Why was everyone blushing, today?
Eri growled, "You're forgetting I need space!"
"Oh, I think we established that you and I shouldn't be too far from each other." Shindou mused as he walked in step with her.
Eri gritted her teeth and then continue to walk faster and grumbled, "I don't like people seeing me with you. It ruins my reputation and people will think we're-" but Eri did not continue the sentence and simply walked faster.
Shindou raised one of his eyebrows as he continued fastening his pace to match Eri's. He asked, "What were you gonna say?"
"Never mind, that's in the past." Eri grumbled.
"I see you're not that person who dwells with the past." Shindou said.
Eri rolled her eyes and said, "What gave it away?"
"Why is that?" Shindou asked.
"Why are you so nosy?" Eri asked back.
Shindou retorted, "I just want to get to know you better."
Eri slowed down and then looked at Shindou in alarm. She grumbled, "Don't bother. You won't get answers from me."
"Really? Do you distrust people that much?" Shindou asked.
Eri huffed and then continued to walk away.
Shindou asked, "Are you, perhaps, going to your home?"
"I have a house, not a home." Eri stated and then pursed her lips. She mentally groaned as she realized she just shared to Shindou a clue about what her life was like. Hopefully, he did not notice this slip up.
This made Shindou shut up. He remembered that Eri had told him that her parents were dead, Shindou really felt bad for being so insensitive. What could he do to make her feel better...?
"So, where do you usually hang out?"
"Leave me alone." Eri grumbled in reply.
"Well, we could at least have fun. So, what do you like doing?"
Eri scowled, "Stop asking such damn questions! You and I both know that I won't fucking open up!"
Shindou shrugged, "It was worth a try."
Eri huffed and continued to walk away, planning on locking herself at her house. That is, until she heard a cry up by the fountain. She looked at where the cry was coming from, landing her eyes on a crying kid. The kid was being pushed to the fountain by a group of big burly kids. Anyone who walked by could guess that the scrawny, little kid was being bullied.
Eri puffed her chest as she walked up to the bullies. She gritted, "Hey! What the fuck are you trying to do?!"
"What the hell, old lady?" one of the bullies snarled at her.
Eri snarled back, "Old lady? You little brats!"
"What'you gonna do? Throw some slippers at us?" they cackled.
Eri huffed and punched one of them. The remaining two had their jaw dropped, only looking helplessly at the fallen member. Eri turned to the two of them and kicked the biggest of them all right on his groin. The said kid crumbled and wailed for his mother.
"Whoa! Kurokawa, stop!" Shindou grabbed Eri's two arms and held her back. He said, "You can't just go beating up little kids!"
"I fucking can if they're beating up others! Bunch of cowards they are!" Eri growled.
Shindou looked at the last standing bully. He said, "You can go, kid... just, don't tell this to others, right?"
The kid nodded and began dragging his two companions away.
Shindou said, "Kurokawa, I'll just let you go if you calm down."
Eri snarled, "The fuck I will! You just let them get away!"
"I'm not letting you go if you're struggling like this." Shindou said.
Eri scowled and tried to wiggled out of Shindou's grasp. She managed to break free one of her arms and used that to grab from her skirt the vial that gave her powers.
Shindou widened his eyes at the sight and asked, "Where did you get that?"
Too late, Eri had already drank the whole vial. She used her ice to freeze Shindou all in all and turned to the scrawny kid. She asked, "Are you all right? I, for one, hate bullies so much. You must hate them, too, huh?"
The scrawny kid simply looked at Shindou in amazement.
"He'll be fine. We're just practicing for a... magic show." Eri lied.
The scrawny kid nodded.
Shindou tried to scream. Thankfully, his scream generated, even little, sound. He used that and amplified it, eventually breaking the ice. Eri widened in surprise and decided she really did not know Shindou that well.
"You hate bullies? That's quite ironic, considering that you're always hurting me." Shindou mused.
"And how the hell did you break your icy prison?"
"It's simple, I use sound for my attacks. That's all there is to it."
Eri growled, "Fucking magic."
She blasted Shindou with more ice from her hand. Shindou destroyed it by amplifying more sounds, he began sending Eri more attacks. Eri tried to dodge it all, but failed as she got overwhelmed with Shindou's attacks. Rage was boiling inside her and ran towards Shindou to punch him or maybe kick him where the sun doesn't shine. She was so preoccupied on her anger for Shindou that she didn't notice that she was already flying.
Shindou mused, "You do know you're flying?"
Eri was alarmed and she looked down at her feet... that was not touching the ground! Eri soared up high and gasped in delight that she had a new power! Shindou used Eri's distraction as he attacked her and knocked her right off the air.
"Gah!" Eri screamed.
Shindou walked up to Eri, who was face flat on the ground, and asked, "How did you get your vial?"
"Why the fuck should I trust you?! You just made me fall down!" Eri growled as she sat up.
"Well, you were the one who started attacking me!"
Eri scowled, but realized it really was her fault. She sighed, "Sorry."
Shindou was surprised at her apology. Finally, he said, "Sorry for knocking you out of the air."
Everything was silent for a moment as Eri tried to tidy herself. After, she mustered out, "Sana gave everyone a vial, just so you know."
Shindou smiled and then asked, "So, are you still going to your house?"
"No use going there if you're just gonna follow me. Besides, no one's waiting for me there."
"You grew up alone, didn't you?" Shindou sympathized.
"Ah, fuck, you figured it out?" Eri said sarcastically and then rolled her eyes.
"Is this why you don't trust anyone?" Shindou asked.
"What's it to you?"
"Well, just so you know, Kurokawa, I promise I'll be here if you need me." Shindou promised.
Eri blushed and scowled, "S-shut up!"
The scrawny boy stared at Eri for a second before opening his mouth...
.
.
.
... to eat her.
"KUROKAWA!"
Kairi was flustered as she just merely stared at Hakuryuu.
"What?" he asked.
Kairi sighed and then asked, "Why are you here?"
"Why not? No one stopped me when I said I'll follow you." Hakuryuu said.
"But I did." Kairi said.
Hakuryuu smiled and then asked, "So, what do you like to do for fun?"
"Well... we can go watch a movie or something." Kairi suggested.
"Okay." Hakuryuu said.
"And then maybe we could eat some dango. I love that! And then let's go ride a Ferris wheel or a roller coaster in that amusement park that recently opened! If we stay there until night, then we can go stargazing!" Kairi listed off.
Hakuryuu laughed, "You're pretty adventurous."
"A lot of people say that about me." Kairi said and then continued, "What movie do you wanna watch?"
Hakuryuu looked surprised as he asked, "You're asking movie advice from me?"
"Well, what genre would you enjoy? Then we can go from there," Kairi said.
"Comedy." Hakuryuu answered.
"Oh! Okay, okay, I got just the movie! Hopefully, it's to your liking." Kairi grinned.
Hakuryuu was amused at the sight of auburn-haired girl who was whispering things to herself. Hakuryuu mused, "I don't think I'll be bored as long as I'm with you."
"Don't flatter me!" Kairi laughed and then tugged at Hakuryuu as she said, "Come on! We might miss the movie!"
Hakuryuu just simply smiled as he ran with her.
When they reached the theater, it was already packed with people. Regardless, Kairi (by herself as Hakuryuu didn't like crowds) tried to look at the schedule of the movies and frowned at what she had found. She walked back to Hakuryuu and groaned as she hung her head. "Hakuryuu! We missed the movie!"
Hakuryuu just simply shrugged, "Well, that's life. And, between you and me, I don't really like the crowds here."
Kairi chuckled, "Then you must hate to go to the amusement park. The crowds are worse there."
Hakuryuu looked at her and then said, "Well, if you really want to go, I'd come."
"Really?" Kairi looked up at Hakuryuu as she broke into a grin, "Come on! I really want to ride the Ferris wheel!"
They reached the amusement park which was quite near to the theater, so the two didn't really break a sweat. There were lots of people, each trying to get on a specific ride. The largest line, however, was the line of the Ferris wheel... it looked like everyone wanted to ride it.
Kairi sighed, "There's too many people."
"Well, while waiting, maybe we can ride some roller coasters?" Hakuryuu suggested.
Kairi nodded, a little disappointed that they couldn't ride the Ferris wheel earlier. Regardless, the two of them enjoyed the other rides that really didn't have long lines. Once they finished their fifth ride, Hakuryuu noticed there was a crowd over at the Ferris wheel. Not the usual crowd, where people were just looking at the Ferris wheel in amazement, but a crowd where everyone was looking up in alarm.
Hakuryuu looked up and gasped as he realized that the Ferris wheel wasn't working and no one could get down.
"Hakuryuu? What's wrong?" Kairi asked as she tugged on his sleeve.
"The Ferris wheel... it isn't working. But... why wouldn't it?" Hakuryuu whispered.
Kairi looked up and frowned as she saw a kid that was about to jump the Ferris wheel from the highest cart. She gasped, "Hakuryuu! That kid! He's jumping off the Ferris wheel!"
Hakuryuu squinted and saw what Kairi said was true. Still, he kept his calm and asked Kairi, "Well, I'm sure that his parents are inside that cart..."
Kairi brought out her vial and drank it. Hakuryuu widened his eyes at the sight and mustered out, "W-where did you get that?"
"It doesn't matter," Kairi grunted and teleported inside the cart where the boy was jumping from.
"Kai! Shit, that girl needs to think her actions through!" Hakuryuu gritted his teeth.
Immediately, Kairi was inside the cart. She saw the boy dangling, crying out, "Mama! Mama!"
"Hey, hey! I got you, kid." Kairi shushed the boy and held him in her arms.
Everything was still for a second. Until the boy's teeth turned into fangs and tried to eat Kairi's face.
Kairi shrieked and evaded the attack. Still the boy kept coming and Kairi closed her eyes as she shielded her face with her two arms. Kairi felt that the boy wasn't attacking anymore and she cracked an eye open. She saw her arms flaming up and the boy's face was melting... only to reveal that he was a robot.
Kairi screamed and began shooting fireballs at the robot-boy. "Gah! Hot! The only thing much worse than the color pink!"
She failed to notice that she had set the whole Ferris wheel on fire. Regardless, Kairi still kept throwing fireballs at the robot-boy who dodged every shot Kairi made. She fumed at the boy and released all her anger into a fireball.
And when she threw that one big fireball at the robot-boy, the whole Ferris wheel collapsed.
"KAI!"
Ai was at the Inazuma Tower, bathing in at the calmness and serenity of the place.
She wore a plain white shirt with a black cardigan, short jeans that ends past her knees and her black flats. Ai glanced around her and found a little rabbit... it looked so cute! She fixed her black headband and then headed off to snuggled the little cutie.
"Oi, kid. Hiroto's calling for you and also Hitomiko. Mostly, it was Hiroto who forced me to find you." Kariya's voice rang out.
Ai looked up at Kariya and asked, "Hiroto-kun? Why?"
"Said he wanted to tell ya something." Kariya answered.
"Unlike the others, you weren't watching me all day. Why is that?" Ai asked.
Kariya shrugged, "Thought you didn't need it."
"I'm not a fighter, Masaki. Just a... healer, I guess." Ai explained. That's the reason why she only chose a metal staff for a weapon.
Kariya sighed, "Look, let's just go, kid."
"Ai. Call me Ai, Masaki."
Kariya softened his eyes and called, "Then let's go, Ai."
"Okay."
The two of them walked together, with Ai still holding the cute little rabbit. She hummed a soft melody as she brushed the fur of the animal. Kariya smiled in content as he heard her singing. She always sounded good.
"What did Hiroto-kun want to tell me?" Ai asked Kariya.
Kariya sighed, a little disappointed Ai didn't continue to sing. He replied, "I dunno. He just asked me to get ya."
"Okay."
They went past the convenience store. Ai tugged Kariya's sleeve as she looked back at the store. Kariya looked at her in question as he asked, "What do you need, Ai?"
"Can you buy me some bean paste? I ran out yesterday... I was going to buy some, but I think that store doesn't allow animals inside." Ai said.
Kariya put a hand in his pockets as he looked for money. Ai, embarrassed that she asked him, called out, "I mean, if you don't want to, it's okay..."
"Hey, it's fine." Kariya grinned as he found some change at his back pocket. He continued, "Stay here, be safe, 'kay?"
And Kariya walked inside the convenience store.
Meanwhile, Ai simply waited for Kariya to come out. She was just standing there until a boy ran into her and she fell, letting go of the rabbit and the vial falling from her pocket.
Ai muttered an "ouch" and looked at the vial. The vial had a little crack on it and the liquid inside kept on pouring out. Ai didn't know what to do so she simply drank it so it wouldn't be wasted. After, she glanced at the boy who ran into her. He was rubbing his arm, probably hurt from their violent encounter with each other. Next, she searched for the rabbit... which was long gone by now.
She scooted over the boy and touched his arm. She asked, "Does it hurt?"
The boy nodded.
Ai took a look at it and almost gasped at the bruise the boy had. It was already violet, looked like a circle and it was huge... well, for a little boy that is. Ai didn't really know what to do and could only touch it and ask the boy if it hurts super bad.
And then the miracle happened.
Well, not a miracle, because it was really Ai's powers. It was magic.
The bruise the boy had began fading away from his skin. After a few seconds, the bruise was gone and it looked like it was never there at all! Ai gasped and realized that she had the power to heal... besides the power of the wind that is. That was so cool.
After, no one could really explain. Especially the boy who probably had been traumatized forever.
The little rabbit Ai took care of was behind her when she was treating the kid. A second later, the rabbit opened its mouth wide and ate Ai whole. The boy could do nothing but shriek in alarm.
And when Kariya came out... "AI!"
Ru ate another candy.
"That's got to be, like, the millionth candy you ever ate." Kishibe commented.
Ru growled, "Don't get in the way of my candy."
"Well, anyway, what else is there to do? I'm definitely tired of playing with your cat." Kishibe said.
Ru rolled her eyes as she said, "You were the one who wanted to go to my house. Plus, CoCo's a nice cat! Thank God you didn't have to meet my family, though."
"You don't have to be embarrassed about your family. I mean, it's a normal teenage thing, but you couldn't really do anything with them... Ru?" Kishibe faltered once he saw the look on Ru's face.
"I... it's not like that." Ru furrowed her eyebrows.
"Um... uh, okay. Sorry," Kishibe muttered.
Ru looked at Kishibe and muttered, "You must probably think I'm weak. Really, Kishibe, I hate sympathy and you really don't have to apologize for the mistakes my family did-"
Kishibe stopped her from rambling when he said, "I'm sorry for bringing it up. Moving on, I propose that we do something you like."
Ru smiled at Kishibe, thankful for the change of subject. She asked him, "You mean, eating candy all day?"
Kishibe wrinkled his nose. "As much as I like candy, and I do, I want to do something much more fun than that. Maybe, like, going somewhere else."
"How about a stroll at the park?" Ru suggested.
"Okay, then."
They walked to the park, which was full of people. Ru and Kishibe walked in sync together as they just took in the landscape. Ru noticed that there were some kids being pushed around and that didn't help Ru's mood. She hated being bullied, those kids must feel the same.
"Hey, look at that girl." Kishibe grinned.
Ru looked over where Kishibe was looking. There was a girl who wore a white simple dress, smiling brightly and chatting with the elders who was just beside her. Ru asked, "What about her?"
"She just gave those elders some new jackets. She's pretty nice."
Ru almost gagged.
Kishibe looked at Ru and asked, "Why? Got something against nice people?"
"Well, you could say I don't like people who are too nice." Ru said.
Kishibe hummed and then said, "That girl's father died last month."
Ru widened her eyes and looked quite taken aback, "You know that girl?"
"Well... I know her now." Kishibe shrugged and then continued to walk.
Ru furrowed her eyebrows as she ran to catch up with him.
And then, a random boy just came up to her and sprayed her with a hose.
"Gah!" Ru exclaimed.
Kishibe looked back and then grabbed the hose from the kid. He asked, "What the hell are you doing?"
The boy squeaked, "What d'ya mean?"
Ru growled, "The fuck?!"
The adults around her glared at her for using such bad words to a kid. The boy simply squeaked in that high pitched voice of his, "I was just having fun, miss. Sorry if I hurt you."
"Oh... you-" Ru growled and then began marching up to the boy.
Kishibe grabbed her before it's too late. He whispered, "We have to get out of here now. That boy's part of the Jinomji Family... fortunately, it's a robot so it shouldn't do much damage should he ever try to attack you."
"But he's made of metal! Then I'd get hurt fighting him." Ru pointed out.
"Oh, yeah. I forgot you guys never had formal training. We were trained to withstand metal so we could fight robots." Kishibe explained.
"That doesn't even make any sense. Why would a robot be fighting you?"
Kishibe just dragged her away from the scene. He whispered to Ru, "This is awful, we need to warn the others that the Jinomji Family is already trying to take you guys away."
"Okay... but can I go to the restroom?" Ru grinned at him.
Kishibe raised and eyebrow and then laughed, "It's because of the candies you ate, huh?"
Ru's face flushed and punched Kishibe on the arm, lightly. She walked to the girls' restroom and entered a stall. After a few minutes, she was arranging her red short skirt. She opened the stall to see a little girl in front of her, staring right at her so intensely.
"U-uhm... You can use the stall now, I guess..." Ru muttered and began walking away.
"Hyuuga Rukia," the girl merely said.
Ru looked at her and then asked, "How did you know my name...?"
But before she could run, the little girl already ate her.
Kishibe perked up as soon as he couldn't hear Ru's thoughts anymore. "HYUUGA!"
"Ah, Hyouga, you know I hate ice cream." Sato frowned at the said person.
Yukimura asked, "You think you'll get sick?"
Sato wrinkled her nose and nodded.
"But it's summer! It's already so hot, you need to eat something cold, Sato." Yukimura said.
"Nope." Sato shook her head. She asked, "Why don't we go drink hot chocolate instead?"
Yukimura sighed, "Fine. After I finish my ice cream."
The two of them were just hanging around, looking for anything that might interest them. Yukimura had bumped into some ice cream cart and immediately bought an ice cream cone. Meanwhile, Sato, who knows she gets sick whenever she eats ice cream or even play out in the snow, rolled her eyes and wished Yukimura hadn't bump into the cart.
"Well, could you at least finish faster?" Sato frowned.
Yukimura grinned and then ate the whole ice cream in one bite. Strangely, he didn't have brain freeze or whatever. Sato only rolled her eyes at that and asked, "So, are we going to get warmer drinks or not?"
"Eh, though I still prefer the cold." Yukimura grinned.
The two of them walked to a nearby coffee shop. Once they entered, Sato realized that this was a shop with the color green for their theme. Sato wanted to puke, green was something she hated to see. She has already seen too much of Midorikawa Ryuuji's hair... this is a horrible sight for her.
Yukimura could see that she was revolted at the sight and mused, "What else did you say you hated? Tulips right?"
Tulips symbolized Nagumo Haruya, her enemy. Sato glared at Yukimura and then dragged Yukimura out of the coffee shop.
"How about we go eat somewhere else?" Yukimura offered.
Sato nodded and said, "I got a place in mind."
"Please tell me it's not somewhere near the amusement park."
Sato grinned. "I promise it's not! It's a coffee shop that's much better than this one."
"Okay." Yukimura smiled.
The two of them walked to the place Sato was saying. Once they reached there, Sato was eager to drink something warm. The two of them sat down and Sato ordered hot chocolate and a doughnut. Yukimura ordered some cold juice and a pretzel.
"Honestly, I don't know why your brain still hasn't froze with all the stuff you're eating." Sato remarked.
Yukimura grinned and then admitted, "Kariya told me once that he was jealous that I could eat ice cream all I want without my body freezing over."
"Kariya's stupid for saying that. Then again, he really is." Sato stated.
"Kariya's a good guy. Just misunderstood, I guess."
"Misunderstood, my ass."
Yukimura laughed and then shook his head, "Your comments delight me."
"Good to know I entertain you." Sato mused.
"Well, you're the only girl who can do that."
Sato felt all warm and mushy inside. Did his comment really affect her that way? Could she really like Yukimura that way? She stated, "I need to go to the restroom. Wait for me."
"Okay." Yukimura said as he took a sip on his drink.
Sato walked to the restrooms, but-
"Shit!"
She had bumped into another girl who had a coffee in her hand. That coffee went sailing to her and stained her clothes. Never mind that the drink was hot, that girl stained her white loose hoodie!
Sato looked at the girl and tried to help her, but the girl only snarled at her, "What the hell do you think you're doing, bitch?! You just fucking made me spill my coffee! I haven't even took a sip!"
Sato glared at her and then snarled back, "Me?! You watch where you're going next time! My hoodie got stained because of your carelessness!"
The girl growled, stood up and slapped her face hard. The girl said, "You are paying for that coffee."
Sato looked at the girl with a serious look in her eyes. She reached for her eyes and took off her amber-colored contacts. Underneath that, her true eyes were revealed: a set of bloody red eyes.
The girl whimpered at the sight but stood firm with her decision. She stated, "Are you going to fight me? My father knows the mayor and-"
Sato cut her off by grabbing a chair and smacking it at the girl on the head. The girl fell like a rag doll and her pupils rolled to her brain. She was still breathing, but only barely.
"Hey! That's my girlfriend! What the hell did you do, bitch?" a muscular man came to her.
Yukimura intervened, "Hey, look, dude, we don't mean any harm."
Sato growled, "What are you doing, Hyouga? I can take care of this asshole."
"No, you can't, Sato." Yukimura then turned to the large man and said, "Sir, maybe we can work this out-"
"No! This girl should be arrested for potential murder!" the man gritted.
"Let him do what he wants." Sato told Yukimura and then whispered, "I deserve this."
Yukimura looked at her indecorously and then said, "No, you don't! Sato, you're a nice person and sweet. These people don't know the real you, the one that I like!"
Sato's heart skipped a beat. He liked her? Or was Sato just reading it wrong and Yukimura just liked her as a friend? Sato was hot-headed and her siblings, Fei and Matatagi knew how to calm her down. Yukimura, however, was the only one who made her feel this way.
"You think I'm sweet?" Sato blurted out.
Yukimura had a slight blush on his face. "I-uh..."
"Look, enough sappy talks! Come here, Okazaki Airi!" the man growled and then grabbed her.
Sato widened her eyes as she struggled. "How the hell do you know my name?"
"The Head called, he wants you," the man continued, "I think he knew that you were hot-headed, so he told me to wait until your boyfriend calmed you down. Come, little lady."
"What? Hey, let me go!"
Yukimura tried to do something but there were men holding him down with some handcuffs. He realized that these handcuffs were something that could suppress your powers. Yukimura looked at Sato, mad at himself because he let that man take her away.
"SATO!"
This was awkward, Kari decided.
She and Ibuki were having a staring contest to pass the time. Kari kind of like his eyes, it was completely different from hers. She just had plain brown eyes, but he had eyes that was violet and kind-of big eyes. Really, Kari could win this staring contest because she was lost in his eyes.
Ibuki finally blinked after three minutes of that.
Kari cheered, "I won!"
Ibuki rolled his eyes and then looked at the playground in front of them which was filled with kids playing. He commented, "You're good, I must admit."
"Now, buy me some pastries! You promised!" Kari told him.
Just a few moments ago, the two of them were silent. Until Kari decided to break the ice and talked to him. They found a common interest and that was music. He liked different bands from different genres, Kari just simply rocked on to tunes that she found good. They were sharing music tastes, until Ibuki suddenly dared her to do a staring contest with him.
"Okay, okay. What do you want?" Ibuki asked.
"How about some cream puffs?" Kari said.
Ibuki nodded and the two of them walked to the nearby pastry shop. Ibuki ordered a bag of cream puffs and Kari happily took it. They walked back to the bench they sat before.
"Look at that kid," Ibuki mused.
Kari looked at the kid Ibuki was pointing at and saw the kid playing on the monkey bars. She frowned, "What about it?"
"He can't reach the other end." Ibuki chuckled.
"That's mean. Besides, I think the monkey bars are too high for him." Kari commented.
"Like it should be." Ibuki glanced at Kari and asked, "Haven't you played monkey bars?"
Kari shuffled her feet and mustered out, "I just don't like heights, that's all."
Ibuki smiled, "How about we go to Inazuma Tower?"
"What?! Why?" Kari exclaimed.
"So you can see that heights aren't all that bad." Ibuki grinned and then dragged her to the said place.
It was odd to see the two of them walking down the streets. Kari was wailing on and on about how she'll 'die' if she goes there and Ibuki was calmly just dragging her to the Inazuma Tower. People who passed by them looked at them as if they were the weirdest thing they saw that day.
The two reached the Inazuma Tower and Ibuki forced Kari to put her hands out of her eyes.
"Are you sure it's safe?" Kari asked.
"Yep. Just look, jeez." Ibuki told her.
Kari put down her hands and then held at the railings. She looked at the view from there and found herself liking the place. When she looked down the city, her heart almost dropped because they were high up and ran over to Ibuki.
"You're not gonna fall." Ibuki rolled his eyes.
Kari gruffly said, "And if I do?"
"I'll save you." Ibuki shrugged.
Kari looked at him and then smiled, "Thanks."
Ibuki found himself liking her smile. He replied, "Okay, so you don't hate heights now?"
"I kind of do. But I like the view from up here." Kari said.
"Good."
They enjoyed the view and the silence.
That is, until a tall, silent man walked up to Kari and grabbed her. Ibuki was surprised and then made the gravity of the man disappear. The man began rising and Kari was left on the ground. Kari was surprised at Ibuki's power and then drank her vial, just in case the man had back-up and would try to grab her too.
"Did the Jinomji Family order this?" Kari asked Ibuki.
"Well, I don't think we have another organization who would want you." Ibuki replied. He controlled the man's gravity as he made the other objects the man had in him obey the laws of physics again.
Random objects fell from the sky and hit the ground. Kari grabbed the wallet that had fell and observed it. She had a sensation in her body and saw what the wallet has been through for the last few hours.
The wallet had listened to the man's conversation with the Head of the Jinomji Family. The man was a robot and was ordered to capture Kari alive, along with other robots. Each one was assigned to a specific girl and the man was assigned to her.
"What? Oh no, the others..." Kari realized and then said, "I just read the memories of a wallet."
Ibuki looked at her with wide eyes. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"I need to find the others! The Jinomji Family's built robots and ordered those robots to capture us!" Kari explained.
"You found that because of the wallet?" Ibuki looked confused.
"I'm psychometric! I get it!" Kari said and then used her telekinesis to lift up other objects. She saw a small button floating around the mess and pushed it out of the way, thinking that it was merely trash that lied around.
That is, until the button turned large and transformed into a portal.
"What is that?" Kari's eyes widened as she was suck in to the portal.
The portal transformed into a button again Ibuki panicked, making the man break free from Ibuki's hold. Ibuki was about to grab the button, but the man beat him to it. The man had stretched his arms to pick the button and went inside the portal that was made. Strangely enough, it didn't suck Ibuki, but the man was able to take the button to the other side of the portal.
Ibuki definitely panicked. "FUJISAKI!"
"Three?" Amemiya asked.
"Go fish." Miya replied.
They were playing Go Fish, as you can see/read. Miya liked playing games, so Amemiya asked if she wanted to play Go Fish. She immediately agreed and the two of them were playing the game for the third time in a row. They were inside Miya's house in Kogorashi Manor, thankfully, her grandmother had not egged them with questions like; 'are you dating?' and such.
Amemiya picked a card from the deck.
"Do you have any Jacks?" Miya asked.
Amemiya cussed and then handed her the Jack of Hearts.
"Do you have any fours?" Miya asked.
Amemiya grinned and said, "Go fish."
They went like that for how many minutes, until the deck was gone.
"You win, Amemiya," Miya said miserably.
It was true, Miya had only one card and Amemiya had three cards. It was Amemiya's turn and it wasn't a surprise when he asked, "Do you have any Queens, Miya?"
Miya growled and then gave him the Queen of Hearts.
Amemiya asked, "You don't like losing?"
"I guess, maybe. I like winning, so maybe I do kind of hate losing." Miya admitted.
"Hey, if it makes you feel better, you're better at studying than I am." Amemiya laughed.
Miya grinned.
SMASH!
Something happened outside. Probably something that had to do with a cat because Miya heard a ear-splitting meow after. Miya shivered, she hated cats and had a fear of it. Maybe it's because of their fur? Or that they choke out hairballs? Or maybe it's because they lick themselves clean? Whatever the reason is, she just didn't want to associate with cats.
"Let's see what's up." Amemiya told her.
The two of them walked outside to find a cat licking itself and a pile of useless junk.
"Did this cat do all that?" Miya inquired.
Amemiya looked around and then whispered, "I don't know, but I don't like this place. Let's go somewhere else."
"But I don't have permission from my grandma-" Miya was cut off because Amemiya had dragged her somewhere else.
Amemiya led her to an arcade. He stated, "Well, let's have some fun, shall we?"
How did Amamiya know she liked video games? Oh well, Miya liked it in here.
They played with the different teenagers that were out and about the store. Though, Miya kept playing with this teenager as an opponent who always lost to Miya. He kept saying that if he beat her, then she needs to do a favor for him. Maybe the guy also hated losing, something Miya hated too, so she purposely made him win at a shooting game. The teenager had more points than Miya and he kept cheering.
"Congrats, I guess." Miya told the teenage boy.
Amemiya walked behind her and asked, "You aren't angry at him for winning?"
"I am disappointed that I didn't win," Miya admitted.
Amemiya chuckled, realizing that Miya had purposely let the teenager win.
"Since I won," the teenager said, "you get to do me a favor."
"Okay. As long as I don't get to be arrested." Miya joked.
"It's easy, you just have to kiss me," the teenage boy grinned.
Miya was taken aback. "Excuse me?"
Amemiya glared at the teenager. "What are you talking about? She isn't doing that!"
The teenage boy shrugged and said, "You should have thought twice before letting me win."
"You knew?" Miya asked.
"Of course I did, anybody could see it," the teenage boy shrugged.
"So, you knew. But you can't just kiss her!" Amemiya protested.
"Sure, I can. Right?" the teenager looked at Miya.
Miya shrugged, "A deal is a deal."
"But- fine..." Amemiya gave in. He gave the teenager a glare as he said, "If she so happens get harassed, I will kill you."
"It's fine, Amemiya." Miya smiled and then walked over to the teenage boy to give him a kiss.
The kiss she was going to give was supposed to be a peck on the cheek, Miya did not intended to kiss him on the lips because he really didn't say where to kiss him specifically. But, instead of feeling the boy's skin, she was eaten whole by the teenage boy.
"MIYAZAKI!"
Amaterasu looked at Natsumi with a miserable look in her face.
"What?" Natsumi asked.
"They're gone and it's my fault." Amaterasu sighed.
"You had to do what you had to do." Natsumi said stiffly.
"Do me a favor, Natsumi."
"What would that be?"
