-Dean and Shelby's Hotel Room-
Dean throw's both their bags on the bed turning around he see's Shelby he smiles and leans in and kisses her. Shelby smiles slightly and kisses him back. Dean raises a brow noticing something was off with his wife. "What's wrong babe?" Dean questions.
"Well... I've been thinking.." Shelby walks over to the bed and sits down on the edge.
"About what?" Dean questions
"We haven't really talked.." Shelby sighs not really knowing how to go about this.
"We talk all the time babe... what are you talking about?" Dean raises his brow.
"The miscarriage..." Shelby decides it's best to just jump right into it.
"You know I'm really tired... we should get to bed..." Dean said shaking his head
"Your doing it again..." Shelby sighed standing up.
"Doing what?" Dean sighed turning around to face Shelby.
"Your changing the subject..." Shelby said softly "Every time I bring up the miscarriage you change the subject.."
"Well I just don't think right now it the best time to talk about it..." Dean sighed
"Then when is the best time to talk about it?... because we do need to talk about it.." Shelby shook her head
"What good is that going to do?... why do we need to drudge it up?" Dean sighs walking over to Shelby "Why can't we just move on?"
"It will help us move on... if we don't talk it out then we will never fully move past it..." Shelby said softly looking up to Dean.
Dean shakes his head "Is this you talking or that damn shrink?"
"It's me.. well he did encourage it but still it needs to happen.." Shelby sighed
"I don't need some stranger deciding when I talk about this.." Dean shook his head turning away from her.
"This isn't about Dr. Harvey... this is about us Dean.." Shelby shook her head "We need to talk about this.."
"I don't feel like bringing this up right now..." Dean sighed
"Well I do... I want this out in the open... I want to move past this why can't you just talk to me Dean?... I'm your wife you should be able to talk about anything with me.." Shelby shook her head and let out a frustrated sigh.
"I don't want to talk about it Shelby... just drop it.." Dean said his voice a bit raised.
Shelby looked on her eyes widened slightly "Dean... I can't just drop it... we need to talk about this.."
Dean threw his hands up in the air. "Then I'm going to leave... hopefully when I get back you will of gotten this out of your mind.. " Dean shook his head and walked towards the door.
Shelby shook her head not actually believing that Dean had just walked out on her. Why couldn't he just talk to her? Why was he so against moving past this?
-Hotel Bar-
Dean sat on a barstool and ordered a Jack Daniels straight up. Dean took a sip and shook his head. "Rough day?" the bartender asked
"You have no idea.." Dean sighed
"Female problems?" The man asked
"You can say that.." Dean sighed "My wife doesn't understand men don't just pour their feelings out like women... " Dean shook his head
"That's women for ya.." The man laughed "my wife is the same way... she always wants me to talk about my feelings... she doesn't understand I tell her give me a beer and a game on TV and all is right in my world.." he laughed
"Tell me about it.." Dean laughed finishing up his drink and pushing his glass to the front of the bar. "Another one please.."
"Sure thing.." The bartender poured his another generous glass of Jack Daniels.
"Thank you..." Dean smiled taking the drink from him and taking a sip.
Dean and the bartender continued talking for a good 30 minutes about their wives and other things. When the bartender noticed a pretty brunette walk in and she looked as if she was looking for someone he shook his head "Uh oh.." The bartender.
"What?" Dean raised a brow.
"Someone's wife must be looking for him... she doesn't look to happy... I feel sorry for the poor guy.." The bartender laughed.
Dean laughed slightly and turned around to see Shelby standing in the doorway she spotted him and started over Dean shook his head and sighed turning back around to the bartender and taking another sip of his drink.
"Dean.." Shelby sighed once she made it to him.
Dean closed his eyes tightly before opening them again and sees the bartender back away leaving them alone. "Hey babe.." Dean turned around to face her. "Want a drink?"
"No... I want my husband to come back to our room.." Shelby said
Dean sighed shaking his head "Only if you agree not to try to get me to get all in touch with my feelings..."
"There wouldn't be any point to it tonight... you've been drinking that would defeat the purpose of us talking things out.." Shelby sighed
"Good..." Dean stood up putting his arm around Shelby's shoulder and kissed her cheek. "Thanks for the conversation.." Dean smiled back at the bartender.
The bartender smiled and nodded.
"Let's go babe.." Dean said and Dean and Shelby walked off heading back to their hotel room.
Shelby shook her head looks like they were going to have to put off talking about it once again. but for sure first thing in the morning they were going to be talking about things wither or not he liked it.
