-Dean and Shelby's Place-
It had been a few weeks since they had their little talk at the hotel they were home spending the weekend together. Dean still hadn't opened up to Shelby about his feelings although it annoyed her she decided to give him the space and time he needs to come to her with it.
...Dream
Dean and Shelby were walking on the stairs he heard a noise coming from behind him and turned around to see Wade shove him knocking him into Shelby sending her down the stairs. Dean hears her scream before she hits the bottom of the steps. "Shelby.." Dean yells running down the steps bending over her he runs his hand through her hair feeling something wet he pulls his hand back and sees blood. He looks behind him to see a smirking Wade. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Dean snarls.
"Poor Shelby... you couldn't protect her from loosing the baby.. now you couldn't protect her from this.. some husband you are... this is all your fault.." Wade said before turning around and walking up the stairs.
Dean turns back to Shelby to see more blood pouring from her head. "Come on babe... wake up for me.." Dean whispers. "Help... someone help..." Dean yells.
...End Dream
Dean gasps as he shoots up causing Shelby to also shoot up and look over at Dean who was breathing heavily but was as white as a ghost. "Dean... what's wrong?" Shelby questioned the worry clearly showing in her tone.
Dean shook his head running his hand through his hair. "Nothing.." Dean said catching his breath.
"Something's wrong ... tell me please... " Shelby put her hand on his shoulder.
Dean looked at her shaking his head again running a hand through her hair and pulling her head close to him so he can capture her lips with his. Pulling back he looked at her and she could see he had so much pain in his eyes. "Baby.." Shelby sighed "What's going on?" Shelby placed her hand over his hand that was now cupping her face.
"It was just a dream.. no big deal.." Dean shook his head
"Dean... please tell me what's going on.." Shelby sighed "You've been having these dreams for a while now..."
Dean sighed "Well... You and I were walking down the stairs I hear a noise behind us and when I look behind me it's Barrett... he shoves me and I bump into you and you fall down the stairs.." Dean sighed
"It's just a dream it's okay babe.." Shelby says softly.
"You don't understand... to me it was so real." Dean sighed "I saw you on the ground... there was blood so much blood... I couldn't protect you... just like I couldn't protect the baby..." Dean looked down at the bed and closed his eyes trying to block out the images of Shelby on the ground with blood pooling around her out of his head.
"Dean... " Shelby shook her head hating what Dean was going through.
"It's all my fault... I should of protected you... if I had then we wouldn't of lost our baby..." Dean shook his head
Shelby wrapped her arms around him "It's not your fault... none of it was your fault..." Shelby said softly
Dean shook his head holding on to Shelby tightly for a few seconds before pulling back and looking at her. "I couldn't take it if anything happened to you Shelby..." Dean sighed "You are my whole world...I can't loose you"
"Nothing is going to happen to me Dean..." Shelby cupped his face in her hands "You don't have to worry about loosing me.. I'm not going anywhere... I promise.." Shelby said bringing her lips to his and softly kissing him.
Dean brought his hands to the back of her head and deepened the kiss before pulling away. "I love you so much Shelby..."
"I love you to Dean..." Shelby said softly "You don't have to hide these things from me... we are married... we are in this together you have to remember this.."
"I know... I promise from now on... I'll tell you what's going on in this messed up head of mine.." Dean said softly
"Your not messed up..." Shelby said shaking her head "But I'm glad your going to let me in.. I love you and I want to be able to help you through anything you might be going through... Just like you've done for me.." Shelby said softly
Dean nodded and smiled slightly "I'm one lucky son of a bitch aren't I?" Dean laughed
"Oh you defiantly are.." Shelby laughed and leaned in to kiss him again "So how about we both make a promise from now on no matter how hard it is or how bad it is.. we tell each other everything that is going on with us... the good and the bad... "
"I promise.. no matter what I'll tell you no matter how bad it is I'm never going to keep anything thing else from you.." Dean said softly
Shelby smiled and nodded "And I promise I will let you in on everything that is going on... good or bad I won't keep anything from you... EVER..." Shelby smiled and wrapped her arms around Dean and kissed him. She just knew they had turned over a new leaf and they would be okay they loved each other and no matter what they'd be okay as long as they had each other.
