Halloween was finally here and Miranda and all the children were dressed up and ready to celebrate. Dressed as a woman from the 19th century, Miranda happily sat at her desk as she watched all the children, scattered in groups among the room.

Emily, who was dressed as a ladybug and JJ who was dressed as a butterfly, began jumping off the top of desks. The two of them truly believed that they now had to magical abilities to fly.

"Emily and JJ, please stop jumping off the top of the desks. Just because you two are wearing butterfly and ladybug wings, it doesn't mean you can really fly." Miranda had just caught the two.

furiously hopping from two of the desk, the two of them folded their arms across their chest and glared at their teacher. They were both silent, until JJ spoke.

"Yes we can. You're just jealous because you look like a bajillion year old lady."

"JJ, bajillion isn't even a real word. And I'm dressed up as a lady from the 19th century. My costume is more likely from 120 years ago." Miranda explained.

"How do you know it isn't a real word?" Emily asked.

"Because it's not in the dictionary." Miranda replied back.

"Well, there's one person in this room who is way more smarter than you are and we'll just ask him and see what he says about it." Emily said. She then called out, "Hey Spencer!"

"What?!" Spencer called back. He had been sitting by the book shelf area with Maeve and Jason.

"Is bajillion a real word?!" Emily asked.

No!" Spencer called back.

"Oh mind your own business, toilet paper wrapped boy! No one asked for your opinion!" Emily rudely said.

"I'm a mummy and you asked for my opinion!" Spencer said.

"Alright you two. Let's not argue over something that really isn't that important." Miranda said.

While at the book shelf area, Spencer had been telling a Halloween story to Jason and Maeve, until he was interrupted by Emily. After the interruption, he got back to telling his story.

"Okay, where was I?" He asked.

"You were at the part where Audris woke up." Maeve said. She was dressed up as a penguin.

"Right, thank you. Anyway, Audris woke up and she realized that her hair was moving. She found this to be very odd because there were no windows open and no fans were on. She got out of bed and started to walk towards the mirror, but as she walked, her feet felt very heavy. So, Audris looked down and was startled to see that her feet were no longer her feet, but had been replaced with bear feet. When she was finally able to look in the mirror, she saw that her beautiful wavy long brown hair had been transformed into worms. Being too much for her to handle, Audris…"

"Maybe her hair actually turned into spaghetti." Jason suggested as he interrupted Spencer. He was dressed up as a tiger.

"And maybe her feet were actually turned into moose feet." Maeve chimed in.

"No, trust me. I invented this story and I know how it goes. Her hair is definitely worms and her feet are definitely bear feet." Spencer said. He then continued with his story. "As I was saying, Being too much for her to handle, Audris opened her mouth to scream, but when she did, hundreds of bumble bees flew out of her mouth. No sound could escape her mouth, except the buzzing of the bumble bees. Falling to her…"

"This is getting really scary now." Maeve said.

"Well, yeah. It's a Halloween story. It's supposed to be scary. Anyway, falling to her knees, Audris began to cry. Suddenly a fairy appeared and said, "Stop crying, please" in a very kind voice. Obeying the fairy, Audris stopped crying and looked up at her. She was so afraid to speak or make any kind sound. Seeing how scared the young girl was, the fairy waved her wand and said, "There, now all the bumble bees are no longer within you. You may speak now without any fear." Wiping away her tears, Audris asked, "Who are you?" "I'm Novella. I punish children who do bad things." The fairy said.

Spencer continued on with his story as Jason and Maeve sat there, very interested. "The fairy then said, "However, if you promise to stop stealing all your little brother and sister's candy, then I will lift this horrible curse from you." Audris was quick to answer with, "I promise! I promise I'll never steal another piece of candy from them or anyone else for as long as I live! Please, just take this curse away!" With the wave of her wand, Novella was able to lift the curse and Audris had her regular hair and feet back. And from that moment on, she kept her promise. The end. So, did either of you two learn a lesson from this story?"

"Yes, don't ever steal anyone else's Halloween candy." Jason said.

"Because if you do, then bad things will happen to you." Maeve said.

"Exactly." Spencer said as he took a piece of candy from each of Jason and Maeve's buckets.

"Hey!" Jason and Maeve said in unison.

Spencer tossed the candy back in the buckets and said, "Okay, okay. Jeeze, I tell you a really interesting story and I get nothing in return."

Just a couple of feet from Spencer, Maeve and Jason, Derek, Jordan, Ashley, Aaron, David and Haley were all sitting at the reading table. The six of them were drawing pictures.

"Hey, ladies. You wanna see what I drew? You'll love it, I promise." Derek, who was dressed as a vampire, sent a wink towards, Jordan, Ashley and Haley as he held up his picture.

"You forgot to draw a shirt on yourself." The three girls said, annoyed as they rolled their eyes. Ashley was dressed as a black cat. Jordan was dressed as a doctor. And Haley was dressed as a ballerina.

Derek just shrugged his shoulders and said, "You lovely ladies just don't appreciate fine art. He then went back to drawing and coloring.

"Okay, who wants to see what I drew?" David asked. He was dressed as a scarecrow.

"Sure." The other five said in unison.

Grinning and obviously proud of his artistic skills, David held up a blank white paper. The others were clearly confused.

"Um, David. You didn't draw anything." Aaron said. He was dressed as a pirate.

"Yeah, we don't see anything." Derek said.

"Really? You don't see anything, at all?" David asked.

"No, David. None of us see's what your trying to show us." Haley said.

"Yeah, did you even draw anything?" Ashley asked.

"Uh, yeah. It's a ghost. Are you all blind or something?" David asked, annoyed.

"Okay, if you drew a ghost, then why don't we see one?" Jordan asked.

"I used a white crayon and maybe you all can't see the ghost because you don't believe in them." David suggested.

"Or maybe if you used a different colored paper, then we could see the ghost." Haley suggested.

David appeared to be thinking for a moment, before finally saying, "You know, Haley. I think you could be right. I'll have to try that." He then reached for a sheet of black construction paper and started drawing. After a couple seconds, he held up the paper and said, "Now do you see a ghost?"

"Yeah." The other five said in unison.

David heaved a huge sigh of relief and said, "Good, I thought you were all going crazy or something."

"Don't worry, David. We all thought the same about you." Derek laughed.

"Ow!" Aaron painfully exclaimed.

"What's wrong?" A very worried Haley asked.

"Oh nothing to worry about, my sweet little sugar plum." Aaron smiled as he lightly patted the top of Haley's head.

Swatting away Aaron's hand, Haley glared at him and said, "I want to be called Haley."

"Ooookaaaaaaayyyyyyy, whatever you say." Aaron then turned to Jordan and said, "Hey, Jordan, you're a doctor. You think I'll need stitches for this paper cut?" He held his right index finger out to Jordan.

"Uh, Aaron. I'm not a real doctor. This is just a Halloween costume. You should ask Miss Norton about your paper cut." Jordan said.

"Good idea." Aaron got up from his chair and walked up to Miranda's desk.

"Is there something you need, Aaron?" Miranda asked, smiling at the young boy.

"Um… I got a paper cut and I think I need to go to the hospital and get some stitches." Aaron held out his right index finger for Miranda to see.

"Oh, it's not that bad. You just need a band aid." Miranda then pulled out two boxes of band aids from her desk drawer. "Would you like a dragon band aid or one with bunnies?"

"Dragons, please." Aaron said.

Miranda then placed a dragon band aid on Aaron's injured finger and asked, "Is that better, now?"

Carefully studying his finger, Aaron then said, "Yep it's all better now. Thanks Miss Norton. After I'm done drawing a pumpkin, I'm giving it to you as a present for saving my life."

"Uh, no you're not. Miss Norton is my cuddly snuggly wuggly bear. So, you can just give your pumpkin picture to Haley." Derek had suddenly appeared, looking not too happy.

"Oh, my god. I can't believe he just called me that. Where does he or any of these children hear stuff like that, from?" Miranda wondered to herself. She then said, "Derek, Aaron can give his pumpkin picture to whoever he wants to, okay?"

"Yeah, Derek. I can give it to whoever I want to." Aaron stuck his tongue out at his classmate.

"Aaron." Miranda warned. "That isn't very nice. And I think it would make Haley very happy if you gave her your pumpkin picture, instead of me."

"But Haley didn't save my life, you did."

Miranda smiled and said, "Aaron, it was just a paper cut. I just put a band aid on it. And Haley's your friend. I think she'd be the best person to give your picture to."

Aaron thought for a moment and said, "Okay, I'll give it to her then."

Over at the book bag/coat rack area, Grant, Penelope, and Kevin stared as Beth, who was dressed as Belle from "Beauty and The Beast", carried on a conversation with a red and blue book bag.

"I'm sorry about your wife, Jedgar. It was a real honor to have gotten to know her."

"Why is she talking to Alex's book bag?" Grant whispered to Kevin and Penelope. He was dressed as a pumpkin.

"I don't know, but what I'd like to know is, how did Jedgar's wife really die?" Kevin, who was dressed as a monkey, whispered.

"Yeah, me too. I mean what if Jedgar killed her and what if Beth helped him?" Penelope whispered. She was dressed as a bride.

"You two do realize that she's talking to a book bag, right?" Grant asked, loud enough for Beth to hear him.

"Shh!" Penelope and Kevin warned him.

"Sorry!" Grant whispered to the two of them.

"Excuse me, but do you three mind? I'm trying to a have a private conversation with Jedgar. His wife Zabreeza drowned in the washing machine." Beth glared at her four classmates.

"So, was Zabreeza a book bag, too?" Kevin asked.

"Nope, she was a purple sweater."
"Did Jedgar kill her?" Penelope asked.

Beth gasped and said, "No! How could you ask such a thing?! Jedgar would never do that! He loved Zabreeza very much!"

In a defensive mode, Penelope put her hands out in front of her and said, "Whoa! I was just asking!"

"I'm sorry, Penelope. It's just that Jedgar and I are both going through a rough time, right now. Especially Jedgar, after all, he did just lose the love of his life." Beth said as she sniffled and wiped away a few invisible tears.

"That's okay. I understand." Penelope said, sympathetically, now also wiping away a few invisible tears.

"I don't think you're really talking to Alex's book bag." Grant said.

Beth sent Grant a fierce look and said, "Look, Pumpkin boy, when I wear this Belle costume, it gives me the powers to talk to anything!" Beth tugged at her costume.

"Last year when I was dressed up as Dorothy from "The Wizard Of Oz", I clicked my heels together a bunch of times, and then I came home. My heels were hurting, though, from clicking them together for almost the whole day."

"I remember that! The bell rang and then Mrs. Strauss told us all to go home! Yeah, those red slippers really did help you!" Kevin happily exclaimed.

"No, I really don't think the slippers helped you get home. The bell just ranged and it was time for you to all to go home." Grant tried to explained.

Kevin gave Grant a quick pat on the back and whispered, "You just have to believe in yourself."

Clyde, Alex, Will and Elle were all sitting in the time out area. Not because they were in trouble, but because they just chose that area to play in. Elle, who was dressed like a princess, was sitting on a blue chair in the center of the timeout area. She was demanding that the other three bow down to her and do whatever she tells them to do. The others were not quite agreeable with her.

"What if we don't want to bow down to you or do what you tell us to do?" Alex, who was dressed as a fairy, asked.

"Yeah, you can't tell us what to do." Clyde said. He was dressed as a dragon.

"You have to bow down to me and yes, I can tell you what to do. I'm a princess and princesses always get what they want." Elle said.

"You're not being a very fair princess." Will said. He was dressed as the mad hatter.

"If you three don't do what I say, then I'm gonna get mad and go tell Miss Norton on you." Elle threatened.

When the other three ignored the threat, Elle called out, "Miss Norton, Miss Norton, Miss Norton!"

"Is something wrong, Elle?" Miranda asked.

"Alex, Will and Clyde won't do what I tell them to do!" Elle whined.

"Are you saying "please" to them?" Miranda asked.

"Why should I have to?! I'm a princess! I don't need to ask nicely!"

"Because Princess Peanut Butter Head, it's the law! You have to! And what are you doing in my spot?!" Emily asked. She and JJ had been standing by Miranda's desk, arguing with her on whether bajillion was a real word or not.

"Stop calling me that! And this isn't just your spot! I can sit here if I want to!"

"Let's just calm down, okay. Emily, it isn't very kind to call Elle names like that. And she's right, the time out area isn't just your spot. And Elle, if you want to be just like a real princess, then you can't tell someone to do something without asking them nicely, first." Miranda explained.

"The time out area really is Emily's spot." JJ said.

"Why do you think that, sweetheart?" Miranda asked.

"Miss Norton, please. I don't think. I know." JJ said as if she were stating a fact. "It's Emily's because she wrote her name under the rug."

"Emily, is that true?" Miranda asked.

Smiling, Emily replied with, "Yep. Come here and I'll show you." She happily skipped to the time out area and raised a corner of the rug, revealing her name.

"Emily, that wasn't very nice. It's wrong to write on things that don't belong to you. I'm going to have to put you into time out for a few minutes." Miranda said.

"Fine by me. Move it or lose it, your royal highness." Emily dragged the chair along with Elle in it, off to the side. "I'm home now."

"I gotta be in time out too." JJ sat down next to Emily.

"Jennifer, what did you do wrong?" Miranda asked.

"First of all, it's JJ. And don't you remember the rules?! No tattle telling!"

"Thank you for reminding me. You two are to sit there in time out for five minutes."

End of chapter eleven. I really couldn't think of much else to add to it, so I just ended it with JJ and Emily being sent to time out. Keep in mind, this chapter has over 2000 words in it. Anyway, I really hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I'd love to see some reviews, please! Chapter twelve will be up as soon as possible.
